“Master what is the meaning of this.” Shigaraki looked at the television screen as he scratched his neck. “I took her quirk and made it a thousand times better.” He said simply. “Tomura shigaraki where should I place her?” Kurogiri asked. “Anywhere. I don’t care. I just don’t understand why you brought a stupid hero here.” He said annoyed.
“Now now—“ “Shut up and put her somewhere out of my sight!” Tomura demanded and Kurogiri sighed and carried your body to the spare room by shigaraki’s private quarters. You looked dead, you were exhausted, traumatized, in shock.
You were frozen. Your eyes stayed open, unblinking as you stared at the ceiling. It looked as if you were dead. But your body is warm and you were breathing, you’re alive and you’ll recover quick. Thanks to the quirk All for One fixed for you.
Dabi smirked at your ruined form. Spinner hid his rosy cheeks, you were a cute one. Toga was excited to have another girl in the league she talked with Twice about all the fun things you two could do together. Whether it be painting your nails, doing your hair, torturing someone, or making them bleed. She was excited.
“What’s so good about her quirk that you needed it.” Shigaraki asked. “It’s come to my attention that the league has been missing an important puzzle piece.” He started off. “Yeah? What’s that?” The light blue haired man asked. He was beyond ticked off to have a hero here. “She’s not a hero. She was training under UA’s school nurse. But she fell into the hero course for recovery and first aid training.” He said and everyone stayed silent and patiently listened to the brain behind the league.
“Her quirk is pyrokinetic regeneration. She manipulates fire with the energy of the person who needs healing and together she heals with so called fire. Her quirk was small, only a few cuts a bruises here and there could she heal. But I added cell regeneration so she can even fix up deep wounds that could need surgery in a matter of days instead of months.”
“Sounds amazing! No she could use her fire against us!” Twice said and Toga nodded. “She won’t. Her fire doesn’t burn unless you’re hurt.” Kurogiri returned. “But she’s still a hero brat so wouldn’t she try to resist?” Dabi asked. “I don’t know but let me try and see!” Toga giggled and pulled out a knife she easily slit her wrist and skipped her way to your new room.
Out of curiosity the other members followed suit. Shigaraki first, he wanted to see if you were truly useful if not then he’d disintegrate you right here and now. “Hi hi new friend! My name is Toga!” The psychotic girl giggle as her blood dripped all over the floor. You looked up slowly from your spot on the bed. “H-hi...T-toga..” your voice was low. “Kurogiri Can you bring her some water?” Toga asked and he left and came back in the blink of an eye.
Your hands were shaking for the cup of water but Toga held it back, away from you. “If you want the water then heal my wrist first.” She said sweetly with a giggle. “Heal your wrist?” You whispered and she nodded. “O-okay..” you stuttered and you slowly removed the blanket from your lap. You stood up with wobbly legs to go to the girl but you fell. The chain on your ankle pulled you back. You winced and looked at her, pleading for her to come to you. She asked if you were okay and when you responded she shoved her bloody arm to your face. “Take a deep breath. This may sting...” you started and a small green flame came upon your hand. You rubbed the flame over both of your hands like you were putting on lotion, finally when the flames covered both hands you pressed hard on her wrist. She winced, “ow ow ow.” She whimpered, you removed your hands and everyone stared at the flame around her whole wrist. “Give it thirty seconds....or not...” you said as you stared wide eyed at her already healed cut. It was barley a touch and it’s gone now. “Wow. No scar!” She giggled and turned to show the guys. “Wow stab me next, please don’t or else I’ll bite ya!” Twice said and you reached for the water. “Interesting.” Shigaraki mumbled with a small squint. Kurogiri looked over and hoped he wouldn’t do anything bad to you.
“Shows over. She needs her rest.” Kurogiri said and everyone left one by one. Toga gave her a hug and wished for you both to be the best of friends and she skipped away. “Tomura Shigaraki. What are you thinking?” Kurogiri asked as Shigaraki began to walk into your room. “Nothing that concerns you.” He spat and slammed the door. Kurogiri sighed but returned to the bar nonetheless.
“Do you know who I am?” Shigaraki asked, “Yes you’re the leader of the league of villains, You’re name is Tomura Shigaraki and your quirk is decay—“ “that’s enough!” He raised his voice and looked at you with wide eyes.
You looked so sad and you glanced down at your cup. “Mr. shigaraki I know I don’t usually talk this much. I’ve always been the quiet type. I think whoever kidnapped me gave me a huge sense of knowledge. I know the league is bad but I don’t care about the heroes anymore and I don’t know why. I know everything about you guys, your true identity, your quirks, your past. And when I see you I—“ you quickly stopped yourself.
Shigaraki raised a brow. “You what?” He asked curiously. “N-nothing. Just forget it.” You answered and he growled. “Answer me now before I kill you.” He said and your legs subconsciously clenched together. You stayed quiet and your chest rose and fell a little more quickly. Why was this feeling in your chest when this killer, this man child looked at you? What exactly did the man he calls master do to you?
Before you knew it he gripped your chin and lifted it harshly so you could look at his wrinkly red eyes. Even though he looks like a bum he smelled nice and clean. A hand was covering his face and you slowly lifted your hand to touch it and his other hand grabbed your wrist. “What the fuck are you doing? Do you have a death wish you fucking idiot?” He growled and you gulped. “C-can i see your face?” You asked and he tilted his head confused.
“No. Answer my question-“ before you both knew it, as if your body had a mind of its own you tackled shigaraki down and you snatched the hand off his face. His hand quickly wrapped around your neck and arm and you pressed your lips against his. He halted his finger from pressing against your neck. He was beyond confused.
“If only tomura finished listening to what i had to say.” All for one chuckled loudly. You both were able to faintly hear the television from down the hall. “He would know that I managed to change y/N’s desires and whole way of thinking. She’s now with the league of Villains and she’s in love with its leader, Tomura Shigaraki. Consider it a present and motivation for the future of the league.” You both heard and you pulled away from him. “I’m sorry. I should have asked.” You said lowly. He stood there stunned and silent.
He slowly sat up and looked at your figure. “So you were brainwashed like my Nomu.” He hummed and took a few steps back. He noticed how you crawled closer to him but the chain was keeping you away.
“Who do you love?”
“You.”
“Who do you belong to?”
“You.”
“Who’s your master?”
“Tomura Shigaraki.”
You said and he smirked. He was gonna have fun with you. “At least master was kind enough to give me a beauty.” He said as he held on to the chains. “Don’t freak out.” He warned and you nodded. He disintegrated the chain around your ankle and he pulled you by the arm. You were wearing an ugly hospital gown and you were barefoot. You couldn’t help but shiver. He went next door to his room and he shoved you in and slammed the door. You nearly tripped over the mess and you turned to look at shiggy. “Why are you just standing there?” He asked, “You haven’t given me orders.” You deadpanned. “You can’t think for yourself?” He questioned. “No i can but I Don’t want to upset you.” You replied.
“Fine then clean this shit up.” He referred to his very very messy room. You nodded and began to lift up a piece of trash but he pulled you away. “Change first.” He said and handed you a black hoodie. “Do you have a bathroom?” You asked. “No change here.” He said and you nodded. You turned so your back was facing him and carefully began to take off the gown, leaving you completely bare and Shigaraki couldn’t help but look.
Your skin was so beautiful and looked so soft. He saw as you carefully put on his hoodie and it completely engulfed you. It reached to your mid thigh. You slowly turned to look at him with rosy cheeks. The hoodie smelled just like him. “Tomura—“ “It’s master to you.” He Interrupted and you nodded, subconsciously squeezing your thighs together once more. “Sorry...m-master.” You said and played with the hem of his hoodie.
“Master..can I have some underwear too...? I feel weird, when I’m bare underneath..” you asked. “No, continue cleaning my room.” He answered coldly and sat on his gaming chair. He turned on his console and began playing whatever game he had.
You sighed and you couldn’t help but admire his gorgeous yet scarred face and his beautiful long fingers. In an instant he can kill you, but if you’re good..then he might even reward you. If you were to die, I’d rather be in the hands of your master than anyone else.
You quickly began you pick up the instant ramen bowls and bags of chips. You separated recycling and trash. You even managed to pick up all his dirty clothes and put it in the hamper in less than an hour. Tomura was stunned, one minute he can barley walk in, the next It’s almost spotless. He saw you from the corner of his eye, you were folding his clothes that practically had the same color scheme.
“Can i go through your drawers to put your clothes away..?” You finally spoke up. “Yeah it’s whatever. I don’t care.” He mumbled and returned to the screen. “Ugh stupid game!” He huffed and began pressing the controller more furiously. You chuckled and thought that it was so cute and adorable when he was frustrated.
You went to his California king sized bed and began to fix the sheets and make his bed. Since it was so huge, you had to climb on to properly fix it. You were completely in your own world when Shigaraki turned and saw your wet cunt on display in all it’s glory. Ever since he saw you he couldn’t help but feel that urge to take you. His resistance was getting to him and now he wanted to give in to his urges even more. He was too distracted that he lost the fucking game and he growled and disintegrated the controller. That was his own form of rage quitting.
You heard his sound of frustration so when you turned you expected him to be in the same chair uttering bullshit, but you were shocked when you felt your hips being pulled back. Your cunt was touching his pants, but you can feel his bulge. “Um..master..I—“
“Shut up.” He said and reached for your neck. He pulled you back to him and wrapped his other arm around your waist, hovering your aching clit. “This is whats gonna happen.” He started off and you nodded. “I’m going to fuck you. And you’re going to like it. Okay?”
“I understand.” You said softly, you felt his hands slowly lift up the hoodie just a bit to get a better view of your ass. You couldn’t help but feel slightly embarrassed. “I know I’m probably not your dream girl but I promise to be a good girl, master..” your voice shook. He tilted his head, were you getting insecure?
“No pet, you’re perfect to me.” He assured and you could hear his belt jingle as he took it off. “You seem pretty wet already, pet. Since how long have you been like this?” He asked as he got out of his jeans. He slowly open your cheeks to reveal your little pussy clenching around nothing, how cute. “Since I saw you..” you mumbled. He smirked and leaned down. He immediately began to eat out your cunt causing you to gasp in shock and grip the sheets. Your chest layed roughly against the bed as your ass stood proud in the air for the leader of the league of villains to enjoy.
“Fuck—“ you moaned and you felt a slap on your ass. You slightly jumped released a small yelp. “Watch your language.” He growled from your pussy. “Yes master.” You whimpered and he slowly began to rub his thumb on your other hole. Your small moans filled the room and he easily slipped his middle finger in you. You squeezed around him so deliciously, he couldn’t help but wished his cock was inside.
This has never happened to him before, this feeling in his chest. Someone that loves him and will obey his every command. You’re so beautiful as well, and your sounds. Your moans and whimpers, in all honesty he jut wanted to get himself off. But after hearing you and seeing you. He wants to make sure you have pleasure as well.
He continued pumping his finger in and out of your slick walls and your voice started getting slightly higher. “Master...I—I’m gonna cum...”you panted and your toes began to curl. “It’s okay, cum for me, pet. You’ve been a good girl.” He said softly and he felt you clench around his finger. When you came he slowly removed his finger and examined it. You must be new to is if you could get off with just one of his long fingers.
You layed on the bed a bit tired, not paying attention to your master who had tasted your cum on his finger. It was delicious and he wanted another taste. When you felt a lick on your cunt again you immediately shivered and clenched your thighs. “Hold still I just wanna taste some cum.” Shigaraki huffed and he pulled your thighs apart. You were pretty sensitive but you obeyed nonetheless.
You moans began to fill the room once more and before you could finish and cum again he pulled away. You automatically whimpered and turned to give your master puppy dog eyes. “I would let you cum again, but my cock is so fucking hard I don’t think I can wait another minute.” he said and began to pull down his boxers.
Before you could get back in position, which freaking hurt, he flipped you over on your back and you made a small oof noise. You looked up to See shigaraki focused on his cock, he was rubbing himself up and down your slit to use your cum as lube. “Alright I’m going in.” He announced and slowly pushed his rather large member inside your tint cunt. You immediately yelped and held on to his biceps. “M-master wait—it hurts..” you pleaded and Tomura finally looked up at your face.
He loves inflicting pain, he loves watching people’s painful expressions when they’re hurt or when they’re gonna die. Chisaki’s face was so amusing. But when he saw yours, his heart shattered and he didn’t want to hurt you at all. You’ve been nothing but good to him, he doesn’t want to hurt his little toy. “I’m sorry.” He apologized, “it’s okay..” you sniffled. After a minute of him being patient you gave him a nod and he continued to slowly bottom out.
You both released a moan when he was all the way in. You both have never felt anything like this before. “Can I start moving?” Shigaraki asked you as he brushed way the hair from your face. You nodded and he pulled almost all the way out and he slammed back in. Your little gasps and moans came back which made shigaraki feel at ease. You can clearly hear your slick with every thrust and it was music to his ears.
“I’ve been neglecting these.” He grunted and lifted his hoodie over your chest. Finally he was able to see your beautiful soft breasts bouncing with each thrust. “Fuck you’re so beautiful.” He moaned and immediately lowered his mouth to one of your nipples. You squealed and your back arched and he pushed you down. “Master...” you moaned softly. His tongue swirled around your hardened bud and your fingers tangled in his light blue hair. Two of his fingers pinched your other nipple and he lightly bit the nipple in his mouth.
“I think I-I’m close—“ you gasped and he removed his mouth. His thrusts decreased in speed but they became harder. He had a stupid smirk on his face and your eyes widened when he wrapped his hand around your throat. “Hold it until I say so.” He demanded and you muttered a weak yes. He felt how your gummy walls squeezed against his large dick, he was getting close too. “Fuck Fuck Fuck.” He groaned with his head tilted back and your mouth watered at the sight. Why is he so fucking handsome?
He could feel himself getting closer to his climax so he rubbed his thumb on you clit while increasing his pace once more, causing you to be even louder than before. Everyone in the bar could hear and a certain fire villian grumbled in annoyance. “Master I can’t hold it anymore!” You screamed. “Then cum my stupid little pet. Cum all over my cock like a good girl.” He grunted and bit his lip at the sight of your sweaty body. Your bouncing breasts, crazy hair, your adorable ahego face, your twitching legs and finally your grip on his biceps. You were so prefect and so good to him and only him.
When you came you felt his cum shoot inside you as well causing you to gasp at the delicious feeling. Tomura rested his head on your shoulder and tried catching his breath. You couldn’t help but smile and blush at the closeness. You slowly wrapped your arms around him and you gave his shoulder a kiss causing him to freeze. “I love you master, thank you for making me feel good.” You said softly. He chuckled and pulled you closer, “I love you too.”
I wanna write a part 2 of Shiggy finding out his little toy is being used by a certain fire boy 👀

One Of The Guys - Chapter One
U.A were some of the best years of your life, no question.
the skills you learnt, the control you gained over your quirk and most importantly, the friends you made along the way.
Which is the one thing you didn’t expect. As a Todoroki, prodigal child, you and your twin brother Shoto were raised in a stoic manner, to put it politely, You were both taught from an early age that you only needed each other and everyone else was weak and a big fat waste of time, even your other siblings.
So when the loveable red head, the brash blonde and the timid green haired boy, as well as a few others, managed to tear down your walls, you were m ore than surprised, to sat the least. But you wouldn’t have it any other way. Then of course you managed to break your brother down too and that’s when you both learnt the true value of friendship.
Fast forward 12 years, 28 years old, you and Shoto are having an event at your co-owned agency to celebrate its first very successful first year, You both decided to open an agency together when you learned that your father was talking retirement, neither of you wanted to merely have his agency handed over to you, so you decided together you would make names for yourselves as separate Todorokis from your father, even though the past is in the past and you were mostly on good terms now, Neither of you wanted anything handing to you in life without hard work and determination. Of course you took on a few investors in the form of your old classmates and fellow pro heroes.
Midoriya, Denki, Bakugo, Tokoyami, Sero and of course your old secret crush, Eijiro Kirishima. Mina was around most of the tie as your best friend and soul mate as she put it, but she wasn't apart of the agency as she was currently on hiatus trying for children, which was never a bad thing, just not your cup of tea, even though you couldn't wait to see who future mini Mina took after.
You were currently getting ready for the event, floating on cloud nine just thinking about seeing Kiri in a tux, it always made you weak when he wore a suit, and everyone thought it was adorable when you tried to adjust his tie because he was so tall and you were, well, not. Everyone saw how you two were and how you loved each other, it was just a shame the two of you didn’t see it from each other. Luckily the building you and your brother had purchased stood a mighty 27 stories tall and the top floor came fully equipped with 4, 2 bedroom apartments, which was ideal for all involved, and one of the main reasons you and Shoto decided to buy it in the first place. then you rented  the 5 floors below you to a hotel chain and restaurants and the rest of the building was your hero agency, something you were both immensely proud of. Obviously apartments had to be doubled up on, Shoto shared with Tokoyami to create the worlds quietest living space, Bakugo and Midoroya shared a place, Denki and Sero, and that left you with Kiri, straws were drawn and you are not how you got so lucky. Not that you were complaining.
Back to getting ready! Mina was here to help! Fashion, hair and beauty were by no means your strong point, drop kicking a man and using a switch blade you could handle, winged eyeliner not so much, you could have just watched a video and become an expert in seconds, but you didn’t want to take away from Minas fun. Kiri had currently been kicked out and was in Bakugo and Midoriyas polce getting himself ready so you and mina could have girl time, b ut you you knew the truth, what Mina wanted...
Gossip.
“Sooooo....” She began, but was quickly cut off by you.
“Don’t start Mina.” You smirked at her, knowing what she was getting at, cheeks flushing slightly at the thought.
“Oh come on (Y/N)!!!” She pouted “Its been 12 years!! When are you going to grow a pair and just confess already? Its so obvious that you two love each other, and I mean crazy movie kinda love! It makes me sick that neither of you have fessed up yet!”
“If he liked me, He would have confessed by now!” You continued “I mean, we’ve lived together for the best part of two years while we got the agency up and running, He’s seen me in just my underwear, dancing around in just a long shirt, HIS SHIRT! he’s sat with me while I’ve been in the bath and told me about his day! He’s never even made a passing comment never mind made a move on me!”
you looked down sadly at your scarred hands and pouted.
“Well, you know what he’s like.” Mina said tucking a stray piece of hair behind your ear, “Its not manly to stare.”
You laugh at her comment, as there’s a knock at the door and she raises herself to her feet.
“I’ll go grab that, you are all done anyway, just need your shoes, they are by the mirror!” She said happily as she left your room, “You scrub up well.”
She points to the mirror as she disappears behind your door to see who was here.
She was right, you didn’t even recognise yourself! Which was a good thing, all eyes would be on you and Shoto today, the Paparazzi was going to be there, as well as all your old class A classmates, and class B , some of your old teachers and even your father was making an appearance, after 6 months of his retirement and not showing his face much while he enjoyed it, he was going to be a hot topic.
“(Y/N)!” Mina yelled from the living area, “Its Bakugo!”
You quickly get up and put on your high high shoes, but it was fine, this you did watch a video on, because you didn’t want to make a fool of yourself, and no of course, you were a seasoned expert at walking in heels. you gave yourself one last glance and headed out towards Mina and Bukugo.
“You ladies ready?” He asks as you round the hallway.
I think so.” You answer, placing your phone in to your bag and giving hi a smile.
“You don’t look to shabby (Y/N)” He remarked as you twirled.
“Thanks, you don’t look terrible yourself Suki.” You replied, His nickname from school still sticking, not that he minded, you were one of the few people he tolerated more than others, mainly down to the respect he had for you as a person, he had definitely grown up a little, in body and mind.
“Shall we go?” Mina asked, linking her arm with Bakugo’s..
Yes they were an item, that’s why you couldn’t wait to see how mini Mina turned out, a pink haired baby Bakugo sounded to cute to comprehend! You’re still not sure how it even happened, but it did and there were an adorable couple and great together, you were so happy for them, you couldn’t wait until they had a child to complete their little family, even if it did mean Bakugo would move out eventually.
“Sure, lets party.” You said with a hint of sarcasm, you hated these events in all honestly, but the free publicity would do your agency wonders.
Bakugo lead you both out of your apartment and over the the elevators, The ride done was silent, besides Mina humming as she fixed Bakugos bow tie, and a small wince coming from you as your feet were already hurting.  The ding indicated you had reached your destination, the doors open to a barrage of flashes and “Over here’s” as the Paps had been patiently waiting for you all to arrive.
The three of you made your way over to the reception room past the rows of cameras, you smiled and waved and happily answered as few questions thrown your way, as did Mina. Bakugo however just walked by, ignoring them all and made hi way into the reception room where the event was set to take place. Some things never change.
You and Mina broke away from them, saying your goodbyes and offering them all a drink or two at the open bar later on. Just as you were both about to enter the grand doors to the reception room, the elevator dinged again and a cameraz man shouted.
“Red riot has arrived!”
You smiled at Mina and turned to watch him emerge from the elevator and make his way to you. but you didn’t expect to see what you did.
Your smile quickly faded as he appeared, but not alone, a pretty woman was basically attached to him, his arm protectively around her waist and he guided her gracefully past the paps and towards where you and Mina stood. He smiled and obliged to stop for photos on his way. his arm never leaving her hips.
Your mouth went dry, the colour visibly drained from your face and suddenly you couldn’t remember how to move as your body gave up on you as you desperately wanted to avoid this interaction.
Who was she?
“(Y/N)” Mina whispered as you stared in disbelief “Are you okay?”
Her question pulling you back to reality
“Yes.” You lied, “Why wouldn’t I be, He isn’t mine in the first place, he can do as he pleases.”
She knew better as you put on a fake smile as he got closer to the two of you.
“Hi Guys!” He beamed and your heart skipped a beat, “Meet Kimiko, Kimiko, this is Mina and (Y/N)”
You put your hand out to shake hers in greeting and she gave you a look that could kill as she ignored your gesture.
“A pleasure,” She all but spat out. “(Y/N)? the person you share the apartment with?”
She’d been in your apartment?
“I didn’t know it was a girl you lived with.” She said, words full of hatred.
“Of course she’s a she, she’s my best friend.” He said happily, making you smile at him as he defended you a little. “Besides there nothing to worry about, right (Y/N)?” He asked, not giving you time to answer. “She’s one of the guys.”
You’re heart broke.
You held back the tears that felt like acid in your eyes as you felt Mina’s hand grab yours in a desperate attempt of some kind of comfort for you.
“Anyway, see you guys inside!” Kirishima said as he lead Kimiko inside the hall.
You let out the breath you didn’t know you had been holding and looked over at Mina and small, sad smile adorned your face.
“See, its a good job I never confessed,” You chuckle out, holding back a sob, “I am just one of the guys.”
“(Y/N)...” Mina started but you abrup0tly cut her off.
“Shall we go inside?” You asked, dabbing under your eyes to catch any stray tears that had dared to fall, ignoring Minas concern as you turn and head inside the venue, a hug pretend smile plastered on your face. You were not going to let it ruin your big night you think to yourself as you confidently stroll in looking for your brother, it was an important night and you couldn’t let just “being one of the guys” get you down, not right now.

To Be Ruined
We were in the back of your S.U.V, parked on the grass before the river, my body resting against yours. I remember my heart was playing an erratic beat, like it prepared for the shiver. You were silent; patient. I was silent; but agitated. I kept my fingers upon my own arms and my eyes on your discarded leather jacket that lay in a small heap along with my own. A distraction from this fleeting moment. My own initiated meeting.
It was fall. My favorite season. Colorful leaves decorated the vibrant green grass and hung up on barely barren tree branches. The first date I got to experience turned out to be only non-existence. From the beginning, I was as any normal, church raised teenage girl. No parties, no staying out late on school days, and no boys. I kept myself in my small bubble of friends and ate lunch with my homeroom teacher. Arrived early to classes and the last one to leave. Never skipped school unless I was sick. Never got myself into any trouble. Never disappointed my parents. Never took risks. Until that night.
We had met on a dating app, the one known for it's scandalous greets. I was upset. Vulnerable. Desperate. You were agreeable; leather jacket bad boy appearance from a small town an hour away from my own. I flirted. You returned it. I got dirty. And you enjoyed it. I told you I was a virgin, but I wanted to be broken into. "No strings attatched" were your conditions. And I replied with my understanding. I knew it wasn't going to last. You said "okay" and we planned to see one another. I was quick to refresh myself, somewhat ready for the disappointing message. And yet you were finally there, parked in front of my house. I couldn't hear my battling conscience. She was quiet, or muffled, I'm not sure. Nothing held me back. When it should have.
I let you touch me. Your driver door gliding open to your typical "the cool boy in highschool" pose; right hand on the top of the steering wheel, one foot propped up on the frame of the car with your other outstretched to the pavement. In that instance, I found myself endeared. Was it the genuine smile or was it the leather jacket?
We exchanged hellos before you stood to offer your arms, embracing me while I awkwardly complied. You smelled like old spice. I didn't mind it. Of course this was new; you were a man. Only a couple years older. And I felt safe. Why did I feel comfortable with you? Why did you make me feel like we had been friends before? Why did you make me feel like you weren't going to disappear.
It was dark and yet only thirty minutes past seven. At first, we got lost in the pursuit of the perfect spot. Embarrassment was all I could feel, but you reassured me that it was alright. Though nothing could erase my shame; how could I not figure out where we were? I should have known this town like the back of my hand. You placed your hand on my thigh — an oddly satisfying comfort.
Bringing us to this moment; seated in the silence. I liked how it felt, just having a body touching my own. Presence bore more words than spoken. It's true, what they say. How your heart beats like a drum in stimulating situations. Though mine deemed more as as a tambourine.
With a calming breath, I asked you to kiss me. Your fingers turned my face to yours, and when our lips touched, I hadn't known how warm the sensation was. Reading it in novels and watching it on TV screens set up unbelievable expectations. And somehow, they weren't overreacting. My lips slowly moved with yours, returning the gentle passion as best as I could, keeping up with your pace. My hand rested on your chest, fingertips touching the dog chain necklace you wore that I hadn't bothered on asking about. Your own hand moved to guide mine down to your lap, above where a grown bulge was now quite prominent in your jeans. At first, it surprised me. Rummaging through my head on what to do next, so I thought of the naughty fan fictions I had read in the years before and the discreet pornography (specifically popular with women) I consumed for knowledge. Lightly stroking the outline of you as I attempted multitasking in our kiss as well.
Pulling yourself away from our kiss, I tried lifting up your shirt before you stripped of it yourself. Then I clumsily removed my own, as well as my own pair of jeans. Hoping I looked desirable enough in my black Calvin Klein bra and panties.
You laid in a new position on your back where I would be able to touch you more while you could watch. As nervous as I was, and unexperienced with a boy, my fingers unbuttoned and unzipped your jeans. You tugged them down enough to let yourself be free. And I apologize for gasping the way I had. But it was the first I've seen in person. And definitely a size worth bragging about.
Wrapping my fingers around you, I began a slow stroke. Noting the inhale you took. Confirmation for how well I was doing already. Like what I've witnessed in film, I let a dribble of my saliva drip onto your length, using that to my advantage for something I didn't yet understand. You seemed to enjoy that too. There was a fluid beading at your tip and I took the initiative to collect that on my tongue. The scent of you was musky, as they say. And I didn't mind it. Lining my tongue up and down you to coat your skin, softly nipping with my lips along the sides. Soon to take it into my mouth, learning of the taste as a whole. Switching on and off of that, before you warned me of being close, and I stopped, only to be told to lay on my back then.
It was my turn. Laying on my back, uncomfortably so, even with the blankets. Panties slid off of my legs, knees pushed up towards my chest, and you kissed me again. Kissing my chest. Tugging down my bra to kiss my breasts. Then down my stomach. And finally to where your tongue collected the river of arousal coating my inner thighs.
To be completely honest, it didn't feel as great as most girls say. And I wondered of maybe I was broken. But then you focused on my tiny bundle and I squeaked. Shivering all over. My fingers entangled in your hair, not wanting you to stop.
And before anything else could happen, you rolled on a condom for yourself and asked me again, for maybe the third time if this is really what I want. And I confidently said yes. You hovered above me, positioning yourself and prodded at my entrance. As if testing waters for a bath. And slipped inside. It was like a shock, but no bigger than an electric shock from a carpet. It was painful, yes, but I was so sure on continuing. But you never went past the tip.
At that time, I thought you had done it. I thought I was no longer a pure girl. I thought you had taken me completely. But you left me whole.
Only for the next man to ruin me instead.

.: Day 4 - F/O February :.
First date
Let’s play catch up again, shall we? Notes: Kurama/Me. The first date, all those years ago...before anything else was known of him, aside from that lovely, kind boy at school. Pre-Yu Yu Hakusho canon.
Tumblr media
“Would you...be willing to go on a date with me??” Rachel’s heart still hadn’t calmed a beat since asking Shuichi that very question yesterday, just before a certain redhead escaped her reach at the end of the school day. Having a crush on him a long time... Honestly, ever since she’d taken the biggest fall in human history while trying to get to her next class. Not only had he helped her up, but helped gather her things, walk her to the nurse’s office, and make sure she was okay before he headed out.
Was it probably silly? Oh, definitely. That’s probably just...infatuation, isn’t it? But yet, Rachel still felt drawn to him. An attraction that couldn’t be explained and that bothered her every day, him nearly always on her mind. That kind personality that made him so popular in school, as well as with a headstrong attitude that meant nobody dared step on his toes. Trying to start a fight with Shuichi... Who’d be dumb enough to do that?!
...Who’d be dumb enough to ask him out after school, even after countless other people had tried and been rejected...?
What Rachel hadn’t expected, was for him to smile, nod, and say, “I’d love to,” and...give her directions to his favorite cafe near the edge of the city, where they could have a proper, quiet date.
It felt like a dream. It felt...like maybe it could be a lie or some horrible joke. But...if there was one thing Rachel was, it was a hopeless romantic who trusted too easily. Who got ready that day in a daze, dressing cute, and headed out for the train station, to ride out to the edge of the city, and to the cafe he directed her towards.
...It wasn’t a lie. It was the first thing she realized, eyes wide at the cafe window. His shockingly red hair was easily spotted in the earthly tones of the cafe, sitting patiently. She was a few minutes late, which bothered her, but... Had he been perfectly on time? Waiting here for her?
Walking through a door never felt so dramatic.
“There you are... Over here!” He waved her over, smile so warm and charming that it sent Rachel’s heart into a fit, flushing before he ever had to do a thing. Hands onto onto her bag tightly as she walked over, sliding into the seat opposite him. “Were you able to find this place okay?”
“Y-Yes... Though I must admit, I’m still getting used to the train. I was so scared that I’d miss my stop, that I almost did!” He laughed at that, her heart skipping a few more beats. He was so handsome... It wasn’t fair. How did-? Why??
“As long as you got here safely and without incident... I’m happy,” he assured. Well. That might’ve actually killed her. Ignoring her slow death, Shuichi turned to the menu behind him, gesturing to it. “Want anything? I’ll order it for you. Of course, it’d only be right if I covered for this date...”
“A-Are you sure?” Sure, he wasn’t wrong, but somehow...she just had to make sure. “I don’t mind-”
“Don’t worry about it.” He looked back at her, green eyes so bright and soft and kind... “I’ve actually noticed you before. You’re so shy and still learning Japanese, but... I’ve seen how kind you are. Always trying your best to be understanding and forgiving. Fit into the roles we make... It’s incredibly admirable of you. Truth be told... I was hoping we could interact more, but school’s kept us both busy, it seems. That’s why I’m actually really glad you asked me out, ahaha.”
.......Ah. So death...was like this, huh? He only giggled more at the bright blush on Rachel’s face, the poor girl needing to drop her head into her hands. A vain attempt to hide- done too late, to boot- but a valiant effort, all the same. At least, in Shuichi’s eyes.
“So...? What do you want to order?”
Tumblr media
A few hours passed in good spirits in that cafe, talking about whatever came to mind. Shuichi admitted to his mother getting sick recently, and how he was looking for ways to help her. Rachel talked about what it was like to be a foreign transfer student, as well as some impromptu studying and tips on Shuichi’s part. Things that would help her study and remember things better.
Something done far better with him than with anyone else thus far.
“Well... Mind joining me? I have more things planned, after all,” he said, sighing a little as he got up, offering a hand to her. She glanced at it, a small smile growing on her face, before reaching out her own hand to take it.
“Oh yeah? What else do you have planned?”
“Nothing I can tell you. You’ll just have to trust me,” he hummed, smile turning more into a full on, playful grin as he helped Rachel out of her seat.
“Mysterious... Suppose I will have to trust you.”
“I’d hope so,” he shot back, laughing. “Otherwise, I think this would get pretty awkward.” Less so awkward, moreso terrifying, she thought, rolling her eyes. But he was right on that much... If there was no trust here, this could go from “cute date between two high school students” to “body of a young woman found” real damn quick.
...Not to be morbid, but worries like this still persist, even in a place that feels as lax as Japan. (...Or maybe that just increases concern? After all, the police aren’t exactly...well..... You know. Great at their jobs. Nor is the legal system that great, either... It’s all so many layers of a hot mess.)
At least that became a topic of conversation on the train, getting one of the emptier cars and having a full blown discussion of thefts and attacks in Japan compared to America.
“...I just still can’t believe your bike and umbrella are more in danger here than your life,” Rachel huffed. “Like? You guys don’t worry about leaving your phones and/or belongs behind at all! That’s fine and safe, but gods help you if didn’t chain your bike down hard enough.” Shuichi laughed into his fist, grinning.
“Sure, but isn’t that more relaxing?”
“I’m stressed all the time,” she whined, slouching a little to make her point before straightening up again. “If anything, trying to adjust to where my stresses need to go is giving me a doozy.”
“Still. Isn’t there something positive to living here?” There was a certain gleam to his eye that had her heart stuttering and cheeks warming, but- as usual- she rolled around his subtle implication to instead be a bit more teasing.
“Well... I guess having authentic ramen is such a big bonus...and not paying over retail cost for items due to shipping and such,” she admitted, leaning back and just to the side that she and Shuichi were shoulder to shoulder. He raised a brow at the response...but pushed into the contact with a small, low hum.
   “Gosh, only that...? How mean.”
“How so?” Rachel fluttered her lashes at him, absolutely playing her obliviousness up to the max. He smiled at it, but any attempt at further playing up this act was lost when he leaned in, eyes lidded and noses a mere inch away from each other.
“Well,” he muttered, voice low, “I was hoping there could be...something more to make you stay.... Something like that...could be worth something else, you know?” Uh, no. Did not know, because at that very moment, Rachel’s brain short circuited into an abyss previously unknown. Complete, total blue screen. The only notion left in her brain was that, maybe, he might-?
But then Shuichi pulled back with a bright, innocent grin, the moment over just as quickly as it had begun, leaving her mentally reeling on the seat. Unsure of what to make of that moment...
   What the heck just happened?
“Ah, sorry... Was that too mean?”
“W-Well, not mean... But,” Rachel finally remembered how to breathe, putting a hand on her chest to feel her racing heartbeat. (Shuichi found that ridiculously adorable, glancing at it before back up to her distant gaze.) “that... I mean.” She sighed, shaking her head. “I think you might’ve broken me.”
“Sorry,” he apologized, laughing a little. “I’ll make it up to you later, I promise.”
Tumblr media
The next destination was a museum a little ways out, still on the edge of the city...and dedicated to art. Rachel was honestly more excited than she first thought to go in, eagerly striding from painting to painting. Amazingly, Shuichi knew some of the history for certain pieces- some more than others, of course- and was able to provide some low conversation for them. It added to the experience, with Rachel gushing over each historical piece that she happened to know or when it featured a kami or mythical creature.
Much to Shuichi’s silent joy, she especially loved to gush about the kitsune and their tricky ways. Especially praising their shapeshifting and how much she wished she could do that... (It did make him raise a brow, but if she didn’t notice, then he wouldn’t. Some things were worth figuring out on their own time.)
“Just kitsunes?” He asked, holding her hand as they left the museum. At some point, it had become a necessity...mostly because he too often found himself standing alone when she’d seen something interesting and had wandered off. The final straw had been her wandering into a room across the hall and Shuichi worrying for a moment that he’d lost her.
After that, hand holding had become the only way to keep her on track.
“Mm, I think I do have a preference for them, but I also...kinda like tanuki, too. Such cute little tricksters! Though I’m...really not going to get over-”
“The ballsack thing?” They said at the same time, the two bursting into laughter at the same time.
“Yeah!! What an idea...” Rachel shook her head, a smile still bright on her face. “But I also appreciate the Yuki-onna... I think the ones that stick out to me are the ones that just come from the most interesting of places and have a really interesting, deep meaning to me- Oh!! And the bakeneko and nekomata!”
“Even though they’re violent?” A pause. “Well, the nekomata, especially.”
“Mhm. I can’t quite help it... I love all cats. Even if nekomata hate me, I’d love them a whole bunch.” Shuichi shook his head, smile still there, but... Good grief. Of course he’d have a crush on the one with no true sense of danger in her head... (But at the same time, he deeply appreciated it. He really did like her a lot, so the truth would have to come out sooner or later...)
“I see... Ah, wait a minute. Then does that mean you like manekineko a lot, too?”
“Of course I do!” Rachel gasped, almost sounding offended by the question. Though the look she was doing...! Shuichi almost gave in to laughter immediately! (Though to be polite and hear her out, he held it in.) “Manekineko are cats, too, aren’t they? So of course I’d love them!!”
   “Hmm... Kamaitachi?”
“Scary,” she admitted with a nod, “but I like them in their own way, too.”
“Are they any beasts you don’t like?” It had to be asked. So far, he couldn’t tell if there really was any yokai she didn’t like! Was it even possible? She thought about it a moment, head tilted as they walked on, hand in hand.
“...Hmm. I guess...it would be that bathroom lady. That’s horrifying no matter which way you look at it.” Bathroom...lady? It took him a moment before he turned to her, blinking.
   “Do...you mean Aka Manto? That’s a man!”
“It is?!” The shocked surprise had him laughing all over again, a curled fist slightly covering his mouth as he did. “Wh... But he hides in women’s bathrooms?!? That’s...” He only laughed harder at the look of confusion on her face, needing to wipe away tears by the time he could manage to straighten himself up and control his laughter.
“Well... I’m glad I could be here for this revelation.”
“....Aka Manto is a pervert,” she muttered, frowning.
“Now, now, don’t say that. He might target you next, you know.” Rachel shuddered, holding his hand a little tighter and walking closer to Shuichi, not looking at him. Missing the way his eyes softened fondly at the act.
“Don’t even joke about that... I might avoid using public bathrooms.”
“Hey, it’s okay... If anything happens to you, I’ll be there for you, okay? Even if I have to seem like a perv.” It was silent for a long moment, Rachel looking thoughtful before finally muttering, “You know... That’s weirdly comforting. Thanks, Minamino.”
“Hey... You don’t have to use my last name, you know.” Rachel blinked, looking up at him. At first with a slightly surprised expression, though he could soon see her cheeks flush a little brighter.
“Um... Are you sure? I don’t want to be impolite or anything, since I know-”
“I’m allowing it,” he assured, laughing softly. “We’re certainly closer than before, don’t you think?” He swung their hands a little, proving his point. “So please... It’s okay. I’ll call you by your first name, too. Alright, Rachel?” If no honorific was an honor enough, then what sealed the deal was him tugging her forward and pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
Today was just a full day of being mentally broken into emotional pieces, huh...?
   “Th-Thanks...Suichi...”
   “It’s no problem~”
Tumblr media
The sun was setting by the time they both made it back to the city, but while Shuichi admitted to plans of going to a fancy restaurant...Rachel admitted to being unable to handle the formality of that. Not to mention, the prices! He was already paying for everything today, so the deep seeded need for him to take it easier on his wallet... He wasn’t too sold on the idea, but eventually gave into the cute, anxious bouncing she was doing while trying to convince him otherwise.
And so, the day was being closed out with a compromise: getting fast food to go and heading out to a nearby park to instead have a little picnic while the sun was setting.
“I’ll admit...not a bad choice,” Shuichi mused, popping another fry into his mouth. “Getting to admire the sunset like this while having food... Though we should have a proper picnic sometime.”
“Mm, that’d be nice,” Rachel agreed, completely missing his hint... It not sinking in until a chicken nugget was already in her mouth, staring at him in shock with a bulge in her cheek when it finally sunk in, Shuichi watching her hurry to eat it in order to speak. “W-Wait! You-? You want to...?”
“Go on another date with you?” She nodded, eyes wide behind her glasses. “Well, of course. I already knew you were something special before...today’s just proven that. I’m already glad I waited for you to gain the courage to ask me out... You really think this would be just a one time thing? That I’d be that mean?” Rachel looked down at her lap, cheeks flushed, and shrugged. Shuichi’s eyes went wide, sure that he heard his heart just crack.
“I don’t know... Maybe? You’re super popular and I’m just...kinda plain, actually. I...was honestly kinda wondering when.....this would be revealed as an elaborate joke...” His shoulders sagged, the playful atmosphere fading away into something more somber. Had... Had someone hurt her before? That couldn’t be a thing someone just...thought.
“Hey.” He took her hand gently, pulling it between them and holding onto it was just enough pressuring to be reassuring. Waiting for her to meet his eyes, kind, yet determined. “I’m not that kind of person. Don’t let your brain lie to you like that. You must have heard of the many people I’ve turned down... I... Heh. I’ll admit,” he murmured, tone now far more gentle and painfully sincere, “I wasn’t interested in dating until you. I have...a lot of secrets. Secrets I don’t want others to get involved in...but I trust you, for some reason. Drawn to you, to the point where I meant it before, when I said I’d protect you from any mean yokai that might try to harm you.
“It’s extremely forward of me to say this so early on, I know...” He leaned forward, pleased when Rachel leaned forward, too. Their foreheads touching and staring deeply into each other’s eyes. “But I also want to show you how much this really means to me, so... You, Rachel, are incredibly dear to me already. I know I can trust you with all my secrets someday... So please. Keep smiling in that beautiful way that you do. Laugh so warmly, that I feel at peace...and when the truth comes out, I hope you accept me as I am.” She seemed understandably confused, but nodded quietly, a smile slowly growing on her face again.
   “...Okay.”
Tumblr media
“I’ll walk you home. It’s only right.”
   “Oh... Okay. Thank you, Shuichi.”
The walk home was a quiet affair, their hands linked together more easily as they walked through the suburban areas with ease and calm. Streetlights helped, but something about the redhead’s presence made everything feel more reassuring. Nothing to fear with him around...
And his coat on her shoulders.
“Here we are, princess,” he hummed, twirling her forward and then giving a wink when Rachel faced him. “Have fun?”
“Way more than I would’ve ever expected... Thank you.” She laughed and he brightened up, nodding. “I... I really look forward to our next one.”
“As do I.” He kissed her hand, nudging her home.
   “Ah, but... Your jacket?”
“Give it to me, tomorrow, if you wish.” Rachel gaped at him, not at all oblivious to his intentions. He really was going to make it obvious they’d been on a date! To the whole damn school!! “...Or not. I don’t mind.”
“You’re....” She sighed, shaking her head.
“I’m me. And that’s what matters,” he hummed, a smug tone to his voice as he leaned forward and pressed a quick kiss to her cheek. “See you tomorrow at school, Rachel. Study hard, too!”
...Leaving her there at the gate, flustered, heated with embarrassment, and reeling...and not knowing how deep into his life and his world she truly was. Not until later that following week...
But that’s a story for another time.

________________________________________________________________
It has been a long day out here in Red Grave. The city was quiet most of the time but sometimes demons would randomly spawn again and Nero, Dante, V and the others would spread throughout the city to clean up the mess. Today was one of those days. Nico, Lady and Trish had gone on their own mission trying to find some new material for Neros Devil Breakers, Dante and Nero were out in the field in the north and west of Red Grave while V was taking care of the east and south. I actually wanted to come along with the girls but they thought it would be better if I’d stayed in the van. And to quote Nico “Someone has to take care of my baby while I’m gone, got it?”. So now I was here sitting on the couch being bored and not knowing what to do. I didn’t want to complain but I was sick of being chained to this van whenever the others were outside. I wanted to go on mission too and help. But they seemed to be too worried about me getting killed in the end. It was understandable after they found me near my death in that warehouse surrounded by different kinds of empusas ready to give me the final hit. I was very glad that V and Nero had shown up at the right moment and saved me from dying a painful death. At first they were sceptical about me still being alive but soon I kind of became part of the crew and spend time with them. It wasn’t easy at first mostly because V was very distant and different from his familiars. Shadow and Griffon almost instantly excepted me as part of the big family and I felt like I found a new home. V on the other hand didn’t dare to look at me without a judging face or just completely focused on everything else but my appearance. It wasn’t until Griffon made fun of V that he became a bit more trusting towards me. And since then it just got better every passing day. I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn’t even realize that the door had opened and V, Shadow and Griffon entered the Van. V instantly sat down at the table across from me and put his cane on it.
“Exhausted?”, I asked sending him a smile.
“Why are you asking him? We did all the work”, Griffon cackled and flew from his position on the jukebox down onto the couch next to me.
“Of course you did”, I laughed and pet his head.
Shadow joined us on the couch and sat down on my lap pressing her head against my shoulder purring. I smiled at the large panther and pet her head with my other hand. I loved moments like this. Vs familiars have always been nice to me and when it came to giving them all the affection, they deserved they would enjoy every moment of it just as much as I did. Only nightmare was a bit scary for me at first, but I got used to the big warm-hearted golem even though I don’t get to see him often. V watched us from his position and smiled. Shadow and Griffon pressed their bodies against me. I ruffled through his feathers and scratched Shadows head. They had both closed their eyes and had a small smile on their faces.
“Don’t overwhelm her with your seeking of affection”, V spoke.
“You’re just jealous that you don’t get cuddles”, Griffon answered and I could have sworn that I saw a slight blush creep onto Vs cheeks.
“I don’t mind these two tackling me after a long day”, I said in Vs direction.
Shadow seemed as if she wanted to thank me for being so gentle with her when she licked a line across my cheek leaving one side of my face wet.
“Oh… Shadow”, I laughed and wiped the panther’s saliva from my face.
“I love you too”, I whispered and pressed a small kiss to her head.
“What about me? HUH?”, Griffon complained and received a kiss on his head too.
He then turned towards V.
“Now he’s really jealous”, he cackled and flew back to his place on top of the jukebox.
Shadow jumped down from the couch and curled into a ball next to the kitchen counter. It didn’t take long until both familiar were fast asleep. V stood up from his position, grabbed his cane from the table and walked over to the couch.
“May I take the seat next to you?”, he asked politely.
“You may”
He sat down and leaned his cane against the side of the couch. After that he took out his book and began to read. I sat back and watched him. I was always fascinated about the way that he could get lost in his book for hours reading over the same pages again and again. It was silent until he caught me staring at his beautiful face.
“Do I have something on my face?”, he asked confused.
“No…uhm…it’s just…I like to watch you read…even if it sounds weird”, I confessed stuttering and felt the heat rush into my cheeks.
V turned his gaze back to his book.
“Would you mind reading to me?”, I asked.
“You want me to read to you?”, he looked confused and waited patiently for my answer.
“Yes”
His eyes sparkled for a moment before his gaze turned back onto his book. He began to skip through the pages until he found what he was searching for.
“Love and harmony combine, And round our souls entwine While thy branches mix with mine, And our roots together join. Joys upon our branches sit, Chirping loud and singing sweet; Like gentle streams beneath our feet Innocence and virtue meet. Thou the golden fruit dost bear, I am clad in flowers fair; Thy sweet boughs perfume the air, And the turtle buildeth there. There she sits and feeds her young, Sweet I hear her mournful song; And thy lovely leaves among, There is love, I hear his tongue. There his charming nest doth lay, There he sleeps the night away; There he sports along the day, And doth among our branches play. “
~William Blake
His voice sounded wonderful as he read those words that seemed to mean a lot to him. I was hypnotized by the way the words flowed out of his mouth as if he was born to read them. His plump pink lips were mesmerising and almost made me forget where we were. I didn’t even notice that he had stopped talking until V moved his hand in front of my face.
“Are you alright?”, he asked, concern coating his voice.
“Yes I am. Your reading was just…really beautiful”, I confessed smiling shyly.
“Thank you”, V mumbled quietly turning his face away from me.
He put his book away and silence fell over us again.
“You know…they all really love you”, he began to talk.
“And I feel like I should apologise to you. I didn’t show my manners properly when we had our first encounter and I apologise for that. I guess you could say that I was jealous. When I first met them, they didn’t trust me like they did with you and they never showed that kind of love to me. I think that memory haunted me again and that’s why I never properly treated you like a part of the crew. I’m really sorry for that. I hope you can forgive me one day for my mistake.”
I moved forward on the couch so that I was able to look at V. His face was turned away from me, but I could still see a small trail of tears rolling down his cheeks. Without hesitation I took his gloved hand in mine and softly squeezed it. He turned towards me and looked at my hand.
“Don’t cry. It wasn’t your fault. There is no need to apologise.”
“But I…”
“No buts. Don’t let those tears ruin your beautiful face”
I reached out to brush away his tears and send him a reassuring smile.
“Come here”
I opened my arms wide for a big hug and pulled him towards me. He awkwardly put his arms around my body, handling me like I was made of porcelain and would break any moment.
“I’m not made of sugar”, I joked whispering and hugged him tighter.
“I don’t want to hurt you”, he mumbled against my shoulder.
“I can handle a strong hug quite well. So don’t worry. There’s no way you could break me”, I assured him.
He then tightened the grip around my waist and nuzzled his head against my neck. I felt something dripping on my neck and knew that V had started to cry again.
“V…it’s ok. There’s no need for you to cry.”, I tried to comfort him and softly stroked his head.
“I’m very glad you accepted my apology and forgave me. I thought you might still hate me.”
“I never hated you, V. Yes, I was confused that you were avoiding me and acted like I wasn’t there. I must admit that it did hurt me a bit but that doesn’t mean that I hated you. How could I ever hate a person with such a wonderful personality as yours?”
V lifted his head from my shoulder so he could look at me. One last tear rolled down his cheek and dropped onto my shirt.
“There is no need in complementing me just so I feel better”, he said and retreated his arms from around my waist.
I looked at him confused of what he just said. Was he thinking so little of himself that he thought I was lying? The look on his face made me feel like I’ve said something wrong. V looked so sad just like a child who lost his favourite toy.
“Is that what you think of me? That I’m complimenting you just so you feel better?”, I asked him more harsh than I planned to.
He flinched and I saw his body beginning to tremble. Why couldn’t I just keep my mouth shut for a second.
“No…I…You can’t be serious, right? There’s no way you would say such things about me, right?”
He looked at me with an expression that almost looked like fear. As if he was begging me to answer his questions just the way he needed to hear it.
“That you are beautiful? That I get goose bumps every time I hear you read from your book? How cute you sometimes look when your cuddling on the couch with shadow? Why can’t I say such things about you?”
“Because they are not true”, V mumbled and let his head hang low so that his hair was hiding his face.
“They are. V… look at me, please”
I stood up from the couch and crouched down in front of him. I put my hands on his knees and looked up at him. His eyes where focused on my hands.
“All of the things I said are true. I didn’t know you thought this little of yourself and I’m sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable. I just want you to know that I meant everything I said. Every single word.”
As I finished talking, I felt V shift in front of me and pull me up onto the couch and into another hug. I felt the heat rushing into my cheeks as I realized in which position we were in right now. I was literally straddling him. He nuzzled his head against my neck and held me as tight as he could.
“Thank you”, he whispered.
“You’re welcome.”, I said and moved so that I could look at him.
“Is this position uncomfortable for you?”, he asked raising one brow.
“No…it’s just…a bit intimate…not that I would mind…ah what am I saying?”
V chuckled while my cheeks turned a dark red. My heart couldn’t handle the sound of his giggling. Overwhelmed by his cuteness I cupped his face with my hands and softly pressed a kiss to his forehead. His laughing stopped and a blush creeped onto his cheeks. I smiled satisfied with Vs rosy cheeks I caused and looked into his widened eyes.
“You just looked too cute. I had to kiss you”, I explained and saw his breath hitch.
“I’ve never been kissed before”, he mumbled quietly almost impossible to understand.
My heart stopped for a second after I realized what he just said. How was it possible that no one ever kissed this gorgeous man? How where people able to not fall for his charm instantly? I put my hands on his shoulders and softly caressed them with my thumbs.
“How? I mean look at you. All the women must be blind to not fall for such beauty instantly”, I said and smiled at him.
“Can you kiss me again?”, he asked shyly while his cheeks turned an even darker shade of pink.
“Where do you want me to kiss you? Here?”, I asked back and touched his cheek with my finger.
He nodded and closed his eyes. I cupped his face again and placed a quick kiss on his cheek.
“Here?”
I touched his other cheek and he nodded again. I kissed his other cheek and looked at him again. He started to touch the places on his face where he wanted me to kiss him. I continued to kiss him starting by his forehead going over to his brows, from the corner of his eyes to his jawline. With one hand on his neck I was able to feel his heartbeat fasten. The closer I came to his lips the more I saw his hand shake as he touched his face. He put his finger to the corner of his mouth. I smiled and softly kissed the corner of his mouth making sure I didn’t touch his lips. I did the same on the other side of his mouth. I sat back again and looked deep into his eyes.
“Here?”, I asked one last time and placed my finger on his lips.
He swallowed hard and gasped. Instead of nodding V just opened his mouth a bit and closed his eyes again. I withdrew my hand from his face and wrapped my arms around his neck. I leaned in so that our noses were touching and hovered with my lips over his.
“We don’t have to if you-“
I was stopped by Vs lips on mine. His lips were just as soft as they looked. He pulled me closer to him and placed one of his hands on the back of my head to intensify the kiss. My heart was about to jump out of my chest. The longer the kiss lasted the more I realized how long I’ve waited for this. I craved Vs attention and searched for any moment of affection. And now here I was. Sitting on his lap and kissing him like there was no tomorrow.
“EW GROSS”
V and I backed away from each other and looked at Griffon who still sat on the jukebox. Damn how long had he been awake.
“God finally. The tension around you two was awful. But please can you do that when you’re alone? I don’t need to see you two eat each other’s faces”, Griffon cackled and then laughed.
“You’re just jealous”, V said which made me giggle thinking of the conversation we had before when I cuddled with Griffon and Shadow.
He smiled at me and kissed my cheek. Griffon rolled his eyes.
“Definitely not.”
Just after Griffon finished his sentence the door to the van opened and Nico came walking in with Trish and Lady behind her. As she saw me still sitting on Vs lap she grinned.
“Yes. Nero owes me 20 bucks. That fucker thought you two wouldn’t like each other”, Nico said and crossed her arms. “Well it looks like they like each other very much”, Trish teased and smiled at us.
“Come on, really? Did everyone know but us?”, I asked looking at V and he shrugged.
“Sorry to pop your bubble, but yes. Everyone knew. Come on. You two were literally undressing each other with your sneaking looks.”, Lady said which made V and I blush.
“Ok enough talking about us. How was your search for material?”
“It was amazing. I’ll be able to make a ton of new Devil Breaker’s for Nero. How was your hunt in the city V?”
“It was exhausting but my part should be completely cleared now. Red Grave should be safe for now if Nero and Dante were able to clear their parts completely.”
“Great. Speaking of the devil. There they are”
The door opened again and Nero and Dante walked in. Nico smiled at Nero and held out her hand.
“You owe me 20 bucks”
Nero looked at her confused and then looked to the couch were V and I were sitting, now next to each other but V was holding my hand.
“GOD DAMMIT”
We began to laugh and Nero gave Nico her money.
“You shouldn’t bet on something so obvious next time”, she teased him.
“Oh whatever. Congrats guys”, Nero smiled at us.
“Thanks”, V said, put his arm around me and kissed my cheek again.
“Please get a room”, Griffon cackled and flew out the still open door.
We all began to laugh again. This day took a turn but I couldn’t be happier.

Time’s Mirror Episode 4 - A Web Series by Steven Embers
Chapter 4
So I lied to you. Well, half-lied. That was, in fact, my first encounter with my mystery girl that I mentioned earlier; I did, in fact, fall in love with her and revel in her glorious features, or whatever, but it wasn’t at first sight. I was a zombie, and I knew why I had become a zombie – I was a broken shell of a person and in no way was a likely-just-as-broken-teenage girl going to help me with that. I like to think I was smart enough to know that trying to fall in love was exactly the wrong way to go about solving my problems.
Anyways, I wanted tell the story that way because it makes for a better memory, and also because I genuinely couldn’t wait to talk about her. In reality, I don’t remember why I stopped in the hallway. I don’t remember being astounded by her appearance and I only remember feeling confused as to the reason why a girl who I didn’t know wanted to kiss me. There was a lot of eye contact, and she did have really beautiful eyes, but the important thing was that I woke up from my moody reflection after that.
           Back to the story.
I wasn’t planning on calling the girl even though the piece of paper she stuffed into my hand after stealing my lips had ten, neatly drawn digits on it. I figured she was probably crazy and I wasn’t going to get anything more than the tease if I went looking, so I took it as a sign that I was supposed to lighten up and I moved on with the rest of my day.
Instead of pretending to count the number of tiles on the floor, I responded to a passing “Hello” after my next period class, which, incidentally, I had ended up being twenty minutes late to – I got off with a soft scolding from the teacher because my friends had seen how dead I looked and figured I was probably spilling my guts into a toilet for that missing time.
Being depressed all day made me a little tired, and by the end of the day I was really just looking forward to a nap on the bus ride home. But as I finished packing books into my locker, I saw her again out of the corner of my eye. Brown hair, green eyes, her mouth moving as she talked to someone next to her; but she was looking right at me. She was talking to multiple someones, actually. Popular someones. I didn’t recall seeing her before that day, but if she was new to school she was adjusting very well.
As soon as I accepted her gaze, I couldn’t stop myself from looking at her. She was like a cobra, sending out a hypnotic siren’s charm with nothing but her eyes, and even from across the hall it was enough to make my heart skip out of rhythm. I am going to miss my bus, I thought to myself. She lifted her index finger to point at me, flipped her hand around, and then curled her finger into a fist, beckoning me to follow.
She turned around after that and started walking away. She was wearing a white overcoat that flared at her mid-thigh and twisted fluidly behind her as she walked. She carried an air of nobility around her, something about her perfect posture that screamed ‘runway model.’ The people who had been talking to her looked over at me and then back at her, watching her leave with confused expressions on their faces.
The entire chain of events felt extremely pretentious, but there was something so primal about the way she executed it that put an image in my head of me getting ravaged in the back of her car. The shroud of mystery surrounding her, alone, was enough to make me follow.
I followed her out to the parking lot, twenty paces behind her the entire time. I was starting to feel wary, but I didn’t want to be the idiot who prays for adventure, gets hit over the head and beaten sideways with it, and then doesn’t go chasing after it. Then I started a debate in my mind whether following a stranger home was the right thing to do. I began to picture a scenario where she would take me back to her cave for her children to eat, or try to sell me into slavery, or suck me into another dimension where I would have to fight my way through evil wizards to find my way back home, but that made me feel almost just as idiotic.
I attributed my disregard for simple stranger-danger safety to my mother’s talk of chasing life with a stick of dynamite; I didn’t want to disappoint her.
My mystery girl stepped into a bright crimson, luxury sedan and waited for me to walk the twenty paces to the driver’s side window. I could make out her face through the tinted glass. She was still just staring at me, but her stare seemed less intense now. She held one hand on the steering wheel and waited patiently for me to do something.
“Hi,” I said, not really sure what to say, but trying to avoid getting into her car without at least knowing her name.
She cocked her head, but kept her eyes locked on mine. Then she nodded at the passenger seat to signal for me to get in. I heard the click of the door being unlocked.
I went around to the other side of the car and opened the passenger side door. The car smelled like her, and I could see the color in her face. She was really pretty .
“Hi,” I repeated, still not stepping into the car. She rolled her eyes, playfully, trying to assure me that she wasn’t trying to kidnap me, and motioned again with her head to get me to close the door. I got in the car against my better judgment.
I buckled my seat belt and she turned the ignition, still completely silent.
“Do you have a name?” I asked, after an uncomfortable moment.
She raised an eyebrow at me like I was stupid.
“Okay, yeah.” I nodded to acknowledge my stupidity and tried again. “Do you want to tell me your name?”
She shook her head silently and backed the car out of the parking space.
I kept trying. “Do you want to tell me anything?” I asked.
           She shook her head.
           “Are you mute?” I asked.
           She shook her head.
“You know they say that playing hard to get just makes you come off as a tease, right?”
           She winked at me.
Conversation was going nowhere fast. We joined the queue of cars that were trying to turn onto the main road. I had the time between our position and the stop sign to roll out of the car and call a friend for a ride if I really started to feel uncomfortable. Until then, I tried to force an expression out of her that I could actually read.
“Well I guess you would say ‘Who says that?’ and then I would say ‘No one really, I just read it online,’ and you say ‘You believe everything you read online?’ and I say ‘Not everything, just the stuff that comes from .net domain names and reputable sources like they teach us in English class.’ and you say ‘Well did you get that from one of those?’ and I say ‘No.’ and, hey, I’m just trying to have a conversation, you feel free to jump in anytime.”
She smiled and it was the first time I saw the white of her teeth. I smiled, too, feeling moderately accomplished that I had broken off a bit of the shell of her armor.
“So,” I continued as we pulled up to the stop sign, “I really like that color—”
“Oh my god, you’re ruining it.” She finally interrupted. Her voice was deeper than I expected, but it was pure and rich.
“She speaks,” I said. “But what am I ruining?”
“You know. Bring a guy home without saying a word. I was on a roll.”
“Is that a thing?” I asked.
“I’m about to make it a thing.”
“So we’re definitely going to your home, right? Not an abandoned warehouse?”
“I could always live in an abandoned warehouse, you never know.” She smiled again. “Actually, I’m surprised that you even got in the car with me. Isn’t there a thing about strangers and cars?”
“I—” I stopped midsentence. I was almost about to start flirting with her, but I still wasn’t completely convinced that she wasn’t a lunatic. “I have a thing with adventure.” I finished. “Can’t say no.” And I quickly realized that now I sounded like a lunatic.
She looked at me curiously for a long moment and I thought we might crash into the car in front of us since she wasn’t focusing on the road, but when she turned back ahead we were still cruising safely.
“So what is your name?” I asked after a moment of silence. “I’m only asking because I don’t think we should be strangers.”
“A name does not an acquaintance make,” she said, introspectively, but when she spoke again she sounded more cheerful. “But, tell you what. I’ll tell you my name if you can follow a few rules, okay?”
I blinked a couple times. “I’m confused. Why can’t you just tell me your name?”
“I’m in a curious position. It requires me to have a little guile.”
I thought for a moment. “I don’t know what that word means, but you’re like a spy?”
           “No.” She sounded moderately intrigued.
“The daughter of a foreign national looking for a hook up?”
           “No.” She shook her head.
“Okay, you’re going to have to help me out, because—Wait.” I snapped my fingers, “I got it. You’re my wife from the future and you traveled back in time after my tragic and untimely death to spend a few more years with me. Of course technology has advanced so far that you can have the looks of when you were sixteen, but I have to tell you that I’m just not ready for that kind of commitment right now.”
She was quick to react. “I hear the time-continuum is pretty unforgiving to travelers trying to interfere with the past, so it’s probably not that.”
           “Probably, you say.”
           “Definitely,” she corrected.
“Okay.” I leaned back, feeling comfortable enough to let down my guard. “Well it would explain the kissing as the first thing you decided to do.”
She looked at me. “You didn’t like the kissing?”
“I don’t know. It just felt kind of—dead.”
“Huh. Well it tends to feel like that when you’re kissing a corpse,” she remarked.
“Ah, well we know I, at least, can stay in character,” I said, pompously.
           “I’m sorry, what?”
“Oh come on. You were playing that silent, crazy chick and you knew the mystery was exactly what I wanted. But here you are all chatty, telling me you’re from the future, whereas, I didn’t break my zombie man even while you were forcing yourself on me.”
“Isn’t that a little iro—Wait. What?” She was almost laughing. “Who are you?”
“I’m not so sure myself,” I said, plainly. “Seeing as you chose me, why don’t you tell me?”
“I’m not quite sure who I chose, either, now.”
“Well, it is a little late, but we could start with introductions.”
“Fine,” she relented. “But you first. We’ve got to teach you some manners.”
“Man-ners,” I repeated, emphasizing each syllable deliberately. “I’m sorry, I was raised by wolves so English is not my first language.”
“Well that does explain a lot.” She smirked, but then went silent, signaling that I should stop playing around and make a decision.
I wasn’t bound to her. Not yet at least. The car was reaching the intersection where I could tell her to turn right and leave me safely at my house. We were heading out of town where she could beat me over the head with a shovel and drink my blood and no one would be the wiser.
I wasn’t bound to her. And yet she completely owned me. It was exciting sitting in a car knowing nothing about the person that I was sitting next to, except that she wanted me to go through a checklist before she could tell me her name.
I was a lamb, offering itself to the lion with two words. “Bailey Prince.”
She looked at me, putting my name to my face, and then looked back ahead. “Lacey,” she responded. The name rolled off her tongue, sounding like a whisper amidst the whipping howl of wind and the static buzz of tires on the road. It was elegant and sounded almost foreign in the dull winter of Nowhere, Colorado.
           “Lacey Valentine.”
Lacey Valentine was right. Knowing a person’s name doesn’t change anything about your perception of them. She was right about herself, at least, because she continued to give cryptic answers when I asked her personal questions. She was very good at playing me like the puppet I was.
“So, where are we going?” asked I.
           “To find adventure,” said she.
And so on. We were about two miles out of town when I realized where she was taking me. There was a secluded neighborhood right on the outskirts of our little town called Paradise Gardens. I heard the community was commissioned by a misguided business man who had a hook for a hand and owned a pet seal; my dad sometimes called these kinds of rumors “frozen bananas.” I don’t know why.
It was a rich neighborhood filled with rich people who didn’t want to be seen or heard. The neighborhood had its own police, lawn care service, and even a fancy wall, complete with a gatekeeper to keep out any unwanted guests. ‘Unwanted guests’ included ninety percent of everybody who came knocking. Several, minor celebrities had summer homes in Paradise Gardens and it was a pretty popular sanctuary for people seeking refuge from the eye of the public.
It was a tradition during prom to try to sneak in through Paradise’s defenses, and go pool hopping or watch the sunrise with your date. But the neighborhood police had recently started working with local law enforcement in order to issue more significant fines for trespassing. This made me wonder what we were doing here, seeing as no one that I knew of lived in Paradise and we were still a couple months away from prom when kids were still willing to foot the bill for a little thrill.
We pulled onto the road leading to the gate. I could see the tops of buildings peeking over the walls and a giant spire rose up towards the middle of the Gardens, apparently some kind of water tower and lookout perch. The words PARADISE GARDENS were carved into the stone that created an arch above the gated entrance. The car slowed as we pulled up towards the watchman’s box.
“We’re going to Paradise?” I asked.
“Don’t worry,” she assured me. “It’s much less appealing on the inside.”
“I’m more concerned about what we’re doing here.”
“I live here,” she said. “I told you I was bringing you home.”
“Who are you?” I marveled aloud.
“Don’t waste your curiosity,” she cautioned. “You’re going to have a lot more questions in just a bit, I’m sure.”
Before I could respond we pulled up to the booth and the watchman peered out. For some reason the booth was situated on the passenger’s side. Lacey rolled down my window and a serious-looking man, sitting level with me, stared into my eyes and down my soul. I glanced over at Lacey and she was smiling. She waved over to the watchman who stopped glaring at me.
“Hey, Jerry,” she greeted him while peering over me.
“Miss Valentine.” Jerry replied with a slight nod.
“The snow comes tomorrow evening,” He talked to her across me. “Make sure to get your essentials before then.” He pressed a couple buttons in front of him and the gate swiveled open.
“No smoking in the Observatory,” he warned me. His voice was deep and commanding. I smiled nervously at him.
“Thanks, Jerry,” Lacey called. She rolled up my window and we pulled in through the gates.
I had never seen such a change in atmosphere like the one crossing the border into Paradise Gardens. The outside world was a barren wasteland compared to the three-mile radius of the giant, circular compound. Everything seemed brighter, even though there were pale clouds covering the sky. Street lamps shone at short intervals down the road and they illuminated the colors of the new world.
What impressed me most was that there seemed to be no sign of winter anywhere. The trees were still full with broad leaves and the grass was still green. I assumed the turf was artificial unless they had planted super-grass that could still be green when it was ten degrees below freezing, but I had no idea how the leafy trees were still full. It was like the founders had paid the sun to work overtime on their little plot of heaven. I could almost hear birds chirping a springtime song, it was so painfully perfect.
We drove about two-hundred feet and then the road branched three ways. The roads on the right and left looped lazily around the inner edge of the circle and led to the main plots of land where the first ring of houses was positioned close to the wall. The road straight ahead ran towards another ring of houses. Both rings centered around the giant spire that I assumed was the Observatory that Jerry mentioned.
There weren’t actually that many houses in Paradise. The plots of real estate were pretty big so the houses were spread out, giving a fairly private bubble around each home. I guess it discouraged interaction with neighbors. Each house was uniquely constructed, and they were very meticulously designed. I saw one with a veranda with walls of glass and a thatched roof, standing on stilts like it was pretending to be a beach house, and one that looked like a princess castle in every shade of pink, with a community-sized pool area in the backyard.
We turned right at the first fork and continued past more luxurious homes until we were towards the back of the complex. We came to a house that towered three stories and looked like a castle made of stone. It had two towers that arose from the front corners and stretched ten feet above the roof, each of the towers served as a perch for one of the two giant statues that looked like the disembodied horse’s head and the castle pillar from a chess set.
Lacey slowed to turn into the driveway that looped in a half-circle around a small mound in front of the house and she parked in the middle of the drive behind a black SUV. Apparently, people didn’t need park in the garage since they didn’t have to worry about their windshields freezing over, because Paradise was suspended in a perfect, alternate dimension.
Lacey looked at me before she nodded and I heard the door unlock to let me know we had reached our destination. Getting out of the car, I looked up towards the chess castle, and wondered what kind of person would want to live in something so blatantly tacky. It was bigger now that I was up close and I was feeling a bit exhausted already, but I was sure that the fun hadn’t even started. Lacey came around the front of the car and waved for me to follow her up towards the house.
We walked up to the front door, or rather, a set of wooden double doors that looked unbelievable heavy. The doors towered about ten feet off the porch, and metal knockers, shaped like lion heads, were positioned halfway up the door at about chest height. Lacey took one of the rings that hung out of one of the lion’s mouths and she looked at me.
“Welcome home,” she said. Then she pushed inwards, forcing the door slowly open.
TO BE CONTINUED!
