established bucktommy where they've been together for like five years and Buck gets to enjoy Tommy going all salt and pepper in his curls (Also the joy of living long enough to go grey when both of them have lived dangerous lives)
i have a thing for buck having a thing for tommy's hair. like. god. he thinks his boyfriend is beautiful all the time anyway, but when he starts to go grey at the temples? when he starts to visibly age? buck feels himself fall in love all over again every single time he looks at him. and one day, tommy calls him on it. they're at a restaurant and tommy can feel his eyes on him. and at first it's cute but after like fifteen minutes of this (evan hasn't even looked at his menu to order) tommy is just like exasperated and he's like "what is it evan" and buck doesn't say anything at first. but then he's like. "you know i... when we started this —" gesturing between them to encapsulate their entire relationship, he's like — "i didn't really... know what life had in store. you know? we got together but either one of us could have died the next day or the day after that but we haven't. we're five years in and i can see every day of that in your face, in your hair, and it..." and he shrugs because he's running out of words but tommy puts down the menu because he's embarrassingly close to crying already because he thinks he knows what evan's saying anyway and he's not used to this much intimacy even half a decade later. so he clears his throat and he's like "are you calling me old?" and it's supposed to be a joke but. it falls kinda flat. and buck kinda nods his head in a sorta gesture and he's like "older, yeah. i just... when i started falling in love with you, when i realized i was falling in love with you, i planned to love you for the rest of my life, rest of our lives. that could have ended at any time. i'm just really glad we've had five years. and counting." and tommy is quiet for a long moment but then of course he HAS to kiss him because if he doesn't he'll do something crazy and stupid like sob or have a panic attack anyway yeah that's what i think about that

It's been about a decade since Alfonso Alto came to destroy Postres de Alegría by opening his own business, Alto's Bakery. He stole their customers by using his family name and wealth, which Noemí could compete with as an immigrant with barely any money to her name.
Noemí and her mom, Ynez, had a dream to open up their own bakery. When Ynez passed away, Noemí was left on her own to make that dream a reality. She moved to a different continent and started doing bake sales at the front of her new house. It was nothing fancy, but it was a start. Noemí set money aside whenever she could.
She didn't think she would open her own bakery for a long time.. until her best friend, Irene, and her husband, Teodor, came to her with the partnership opportunity of a lifetime. It was either now or possibly never. Noemí was hesitant at first, but she eventually accepted. She had her bakery and it was all thanks to Irene and Teodor!
Nothing could have prepared them when Teodor's ex-business partner, Alfonso, came after him yet again... He already did it once when he stole his resort plans back in Isla Paradiso. Yeah, everything happened a long time ago and the Alegrías are somewhat okay financially now. However, rage builds up inside Dulce whenever she passes by Alto's Bakery and sees a long line of people outside. Maybe Alfonso's customers don't know or simply don't care about what he did, but Dulce has to do something about it.
And by the looks of it, Alfonso doesn't have anyone by his side anymore. Nick and Vita Alto passed from old age. Holly Alto wanted nothing to do with her family, so she changed her name and moved away to live a humble life. Bert Alto is in hospice care and doesn't have any heirs. Alfonso's daughter, Ashley, also wants nothing to do with his weird business practices; instead, she married into another rich family. Alfonso's alone. He's done.
Why hasn't he retired yet and let go of that damn bakery? Does he still want to take every single cent away from Teodor Medina until his last breath? Who knows? Dulce says it ends with her.

Hemlo! Here are some sparkles and hearts for all the delicious posts and answers!! ✨️💕❤️💖✨️✨️✨️💕❤️💖✨️✨️💕❤️💖✨️✨️💕❤️💖✨️✨️💕❤️💖✨️✨️💕❤️💖✨️✨️💕❤️💖✨️✨️💕❤️💖✨️ ✨️
I also have ✨️Questions✨️! In Tim being Bruce's Father Figure AU/headcanon, how do you think Tim's 16th birthday will play out? Will Bruce even plan it? And if he does, will this AU's Alfred go with it? How differently do you think Tim will go about tackling Bruce's lesson on paranoia? And how do you think he'll discipline Bruce after all is said and done? (I am sorry for the many questions 😅😅😅)
The sparkles are really cute. Also, don't know if it was on purpose, but urban dictionary says "hemlo" is how dog's pov says hi???
(Also, I love questions and asks so much. I sometimes take a bit to respond [cause I work nights, so my sleep schedule is whenever I can when I don't work], but I genuinely love all of them).
As far as Tim's 16th birthday, fuck. Alright. I guess this AU/hc can get some more angst. It's been too light and funny lately. Why not?
Okay.
~~~
Tim stares at the object that started it all. It's perched innocently on his desk, but the teen wants nothing more than to shatter it into dusty remains.
Bruce, his son that he willing took responsibility of, his son of three years, thought it was fit to cause Tim to have a mental breakdown. Bruce isn't aware of the true nature of their relationship. Bruce thought it was fit to cause rampant paranoia in a child.
Where had Tim gone wrong?
He thought Bruce was getting better.
Were the sticker charts, the car rides for sleep, the persistent checking for injuries, and the forced self care the wrong moves? Was Tim too harsh? Too soft? Where had Tim failed his son so that he thought this was an acceptable and appropriate set of actions? Why did Bruce do this to him?
He doesn't know.
And Alfred. He thought the two of them were on the same page when it came to parenting Bruce. Were the many discussions over tea, the late night baking, the aid around the house, and the chats during gardening for naught? They were supposed to rely on one another, inform the other when Bruce was going too far, and stop the man. Tim had so many fucking conversations with Alfred on permissive parenting and being a bystander. He thought they were in agreeance.
Not only did Alfred fall back to old and wrongful ways, but he was now an active participation in Bruce's emotional abuse and manipulation. Can Tim even trust Alfred to protect Bruce's kids from Bruce? Was Tim just special?
He doesn't know if it is worse for Alfred to target Tim specifically or for the older man to allow such actions against all of Bruce's children. Both thoughts are unbearable.
The man had the audacity to joke about Tim being of age after this clusterfuck, as if Tim hadn't been an adult in a child's body parenting an adult nearly three times his age. As if Tim hadn't aged a decade in the last three years. As if Tim hadn't done enough.
Gods, Tim is tired. He doesn't think reddit can help him out of this either.
Tim brushes a finger against the offending object as his face screws up in overwhelming grief, frustration, and betrayal. The smooth edges of the cube are cold, and his face feels hot.
He won't cry.
Bruce is a bastard, a man-child who criticized Tim for believing in time travel (as if they both hadn't seen it happen before).
It's infuriating and heartbreaking, but it's not the end. Tim can still fix this. He'll be more vigilant this time as he screws the errant pieces of Bruce's morality and judgment back together. He'll study more parenting books, attend more psychology online courses, and find a therapist he can ask parenting questions to anonymously. There's still more Tim can do.
He can still save his son from himself.
There's still time.
Tim pockets the reminder of his failures towards his son as he goes to Bruce.
He won't ask Bruce to apologize.
He can't.
It's Tim's fault, after all.
Genuinely curious as to if you asked permission to use Rachel’s characters and she said yes or if you just decided Lore Olympus is popular enough to make a fan comic of and are hoping you don’t receive a cease and desist? Can anyone create a remake comic of original content and just change what you don’t like about it and it’s considered legal if you say the characters belong to the original creator? There is plenty of disappointing media out there that could be remade. I understand you cannot use their characters for profit so is just posting it ok?
Yes, anyone can, because it's called fanfiction lmao Obviously in my case the term "fan" is being used loosely here as at this point it's more like "foe"fiction LMAO but the same principles apply. Unless I try to claim LO is my own creation or make a profit off Rekindled, I should be in the clear. If legal action was taken against me then it would set a precedent against all forms of fanfiction, rewrite, redraw, etc. content around LO which are all essentially doing the same thing Rekindled is doing. I think people tend to view Rekindled as somewhat of an "exception" that's vulnerable to legal action because it's an actual weekly comic put into practice in the same playing field as LO (though they're on massively different bases obviously LOL), but there's not much more separating it from the LO redraw accounts or even the genuine fan accounts that have learned how to draw in Rachel's style (and use it to make their own LO self-inserts and whatnot). I had the time and resources and experience to do what I do through Rekindled, but every redraw, rewrite, fanfiction, etc. account are making the exact same statement I am, whether intentionally or not - "I do/don't like the canon, but/so here's what I think it would be like if it went like this".
There is definitely plenty of media out there that could be remade, and a lot of them are by the fanfiction writers out there who are filling that niche within their respective fandoms. LO is the one I want to do because it's the one that interests me and compels me the most to rewrite.
Not to mention, it's already a bold statement in and of itself to say that I'm "using Rachel's characters", a statement that likely wouldn't hold up in court LMAO Her "characters" are literally just stylized self-insert versions of public domain figures. She did not write The Hymn to Demeter. She did not create Hades, or Persephone, or Hecate, or any of the other characters she writes about. She does not own an entire religion or its deities. The only thing that she really "owns" is the licensing rights to the name "Lore Olympus", and while the style of LO is very unique and identifiable, you can't trademark/copyright a style because that uproots the entire foundation of what art is (ironically no one has had an original idea SINCE the Greeks, we all just learn and adapt our styles based on other artists that we get inspired by and learn from).
Shit, there are series completely unrelated to LO that get harassed or otherwise warned that they could cross into "legal territory" with LO just because they're Greek myth comics. Punderworld, Theia Mania, H x P Ficlets, all of these are comics that also tackle the H x P myth, and while they aren't attempting to do the same thing as Rekindled (as they exist on their own terms) it's really disappointing when I see people talk about these comics purely through the scope of Lore Olympus as if LO invented Greek myth. If WT/Rachel tried to pull rank over the story's "characters", they'd be picking a fight with every other Greek myth comic, book, movie, etc. and they oughta know that's not a fight they're gonna win lol
So everything beyond LO's branding is, in and of itself, fanfiction. Rekindled is just another level deeper by being fanfiction of a fanfiction. As long as I'm not profiting off Lore Olympus' namesake or distributing my work with the misconception that I created LO, it's legally fine. Morally, I'm sure it doesn't exactly make me a saint to do it, it definitely took a lot of hubris for me to say "yeah I don't like how you wrote your story enough that I felt the need to rewrite it completely" and I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking doing so is icky. There are certain lines I won't cross - I don't use the general LO hashtags because my content is very critical and my work isn't really for the fans, I don't encourage anyone to "show Rachel" what I do here because none of what I do here is obligated to be seen by her (and I know it wouldn't be in her best interest to see it anyways, she's literally said that she doesn't like criticism so why tf would I wanna show her a comic that exists to criticize her work lol), and I'm not planning on posting it to Webtoons because that's Rachel's territory. I don't want to overstep both in the legal sense and in the moral one. I think it's more than enough for me to just post my stuff here for the people who are seeking it, and not profit off it or directly affiliate it with LO/Rachel beyond crediting.
All that said, in a moral and legal sense, what I'm doing is literally the basis of fanfiction, and I wouldn't be going to such lengths and spending this much time every week putting out episodes every week if I never cared about LO and how it made us all feel, even if some of us don't love it as much as we used to.
Let's talk about Taylor
I think that it's time to admit that no one AND I MEAN NO ONE is doing it like Taylor Swift right now.
Sis owns half of her albums: Fearless (Taylor's Version), Red (Taylor's Version), and Speak Now (Taylor's Version).
Speak Now (Taylor's Version) became Spotify's most streamed album in a single day in 2023 so far and the most streamed country album in a single day in Spotify history.
Sis broke her own record (yeah, HER OWN RECORD) for biggest streaming day by any artist on Spotify this year alone. The second was her other album, Midnights.
She occupies 19 of the 20 spots inside the Top 20 of U.S Spotify with Speak Now (Taylors's Version)
Speak Now (Taylor's Version) broke the record for most #1's on iTunes by any album in history.
On Friday, October 21st, 2022, Midnights became the most streamed album in a single day in Spotify history.
And her Eras Tour? Sis broke a Ticketmaster record with more than 2.4 millions tickets sold. The most by an artist in a single day. And that was just in pre-sales alone.
The Eras Tour has officially been recognized as the top grossing tour of the first half of 2023.
The eras tour is a three hour extravaganza that looks back on her 10 studio albums, hence why it's called The Eras Tour.
Sis broke the record for the highest crowd capacity at the Nissan Stadium, surpassing any other artist that have preformed there. The crows composed of over 70,000 concertgoers and the Nashville Airport reported that approximately 180,000 people came to town for the weekend of shows.
Basically,
Blondie is breaking records left and right, and she's not done. Taylor has yet to re-record Taylor Swift (2006), Reputation (2017) and 1989 (2014).
