It's here! The beginning of the fancomic that I've been making for a few months now. I started planning this thing almost a year ago, and I am so excited to finally be sharing it. I'll make a proper dedicated side-blog for it later. Next couple pages drop in a week :)
Edit: Updated Navigation tools. Also, there is a side-blog now @heretherebeturtles-comic
The @tmntaucompetition is no place for a tiny tot to be left alone, especially with all these rowdy teens running amok. My heart just broke when I saw little Kid Leo crying, @angelpuns and @red-rover-au, and I knew Replica Leo's would too. Problem is they're probably going to be searching for a while cuz Replica Leo is looking for other unsupervised children. Oops.
This is in response to these couple of threads I've seen going around: COMIC 1 - COMIC 2 - COMIC 3 - COMIC 4 - COMIC 5
A thoughtful gift that both of them can enjoy! Even if it can be a little awkward sometimes when the people you live have such different personalities, it makes it all the sweeter when you find ways to connect with them.
We don’t get to see a lot of Raph and Donnie interacting, so I wanted to draw a comic of them! It’s a shame we never got the detective noir episode with them, it would have been so fun
I feel like I've complained about Tim's email situation in Gotham Knights before (edit: I have), but the truth of it is just so funny.
He's signed up for so many podcasts, video game streamers, and random news alerts; it's just a constant barrage of data going straight into his constantly whirring brain. Hell, he even floats the idea of the Batfamily having their own podcast as a way to correct misinformation about them (which Jason shoots down instantly), and it's made me realize something.
Timothy Drake would be a YouTuber.
In this universe specifically, Timothy Jackson Drake, the heir to Drake Industries and the foster son of the late Bruce Wayne would be a YouTuber.
Think about it. It'd be the perfect cover. Who would ever suspect that some 16-year-old nepo baby with a YouTube channel could ever be Red Robin? You'd have to be mad. I mean, look at him.
Red Robin just dropped out of literal thin air and garotted someone four times his size, and you expect anyone to believe that's the same kid who does 24-hour Minecraft charity streams and occasionally drops 6-hour video essays (his last one was on Lex Luthor's illegal bit mining operation on the moon)?
The first faces Donnie sees in days, when that wretched helmet finally comes off, belong to his brothers. But before the relief can really take hold, he registers the words playing through the speakers…..
“—just too much trouble to come for you. You understand, right Donnie? You got yourself captured. You can get yourself out.”
“I have to say, the quiet has been nice! Much easier to relax without you around.”
“Who knows, maybe you’ll fit in better with the Purple Dragons! They can get more use out of you than we ever could!”
i dont know how else to put this but to approach books (or any media, really) solely for the sake of relatability is genuinely incredibly heartbreaking......to have such little (or such unwilling) imaginative scope that you cannot stretch yourself, even marginally, in a different direction to what you’ve known or are used to knowing when the very POINT of stories is to transport you somewhere else, into someone else, so you can do just that........when fran lebowiz said a book “is supposed to be a door!” and george saunders said good prose “is like empathy training wheels” they were right!!! they were so so so SO absolutely entirely right!!!!!
How many sleep deprived teenage turtle mutants does it take to remove a lug nut?
(Edit: Oh yeah! This one was inspired by one of the sketches I was commissioned to draw! Big thank you to those who bought a commission; it really helped me out! Those sketches will probably get posted next week)
