dawg im so sick of weirdos on the internet defending really problematic shit and saying "it's fiction" cause like, while i do get where they're coming from, shutting down an argument with it sucks. sure, fiction can be used to explore problematic things, its just that i have an overall issue with how these people expect it to be consumed without any thought at all??
it also doesnt even address the nuance when it comes to this kinda shit (which is why i dont like the pro/anti labels bc wtf do those labels even fucking mean. i hate it)
#i dont wanna go full rant on the post so ill put the rest of my thoughts here#basically i dont care about what you consume in fiction. but i also want you to be critical of whatever youre consuming#for example i recently watched a vid about isekai harems and ppl were talkin about how it was escapist fantasy for lonely men in japan#but it just makes me feel a bit icked out bc i feel like this kinda media CAN affect how men view women#the same applies to shit like. rape fantasy and stuff#im not sayin that EVERY person who enjoys this would do this irl#but its problematic anime like this that makes me lowkey worried about how men view women yknow??#and the same applies to loli/shota stuff#these guys act like bc theyre fiction it doesnt reflect on their actions irl and i do agree to an extent#but i feel like it only applies to some select individuals#some of them can draw a hard line with fiction when it comes to this shit. but there are others who look at problematic anime and go#'oh well bc the guy in this anime does this it MUST be ok!!'#obvs tho im not sayin problematic shit shouldnt be in media. a lot of ppl also lack media literacy#and that shit annoys me too#overpolicing of what people should enjoy is annoying#ive rambled a lot but my conclusion is this: if you enjoy smth problematic just keep in mind if it affects the way you think towards others#also goes without saying but keep your space away from minors as well#and if someone expresses they dont like the thing you like then just respect that???#skypeaks

THE REST OF THE DIRTY HEADCANONS (INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW)
Dirty A-Z headcanon game
[ILU! Let's see what my Loki thinks and if any of this changes in the future XD]
A - Alone time (how do they get off when they’re all by themselves? do they watch porn, is it all in their imagination, do they jerk off, do they use toys?)
// When you're a master illusionist, you're absolutely going to craft illusions to enact whatever you're fantasising about at the time, which has also meant for some horrendously embarrassing teen situations when your brother won't leave you the fuck alone and barred doors mean shit all when he's determined. Obviously the same applies in reverse the amount of times Loki has projected in on Thor at the worst moments. Sometimes on purpose when he's with a woman. Anyway, this is about Loki. Usually illusions. If he's tired or lazy, touching him or herself without that is an option. He also enjoys using his magic to enhance sensation or to stimulate an immediate orgasm if he's frustrated and wants it over with quickly. Asgard doesn't really have recorded porn in the Midgardian form, so he makes do with his illusions, although there are many enchanted scrolls and books in circulation that fulfil similar purposes. Yes, he watched some of Tony Stark's sex tapes.
B - Bondage (do they like it? do they not? do they prefer to be the one being tied or the one doing the tying?)
// Both. Definitely both. He enjoys having his partners tied up and at his mercy, but he also revels in feeling like he's dangerous enough to need restraining. He likes to be a brat about it. There are situations where he feels secretly turned on when it is done against his will but it depends how powerless he feels and who he is with whether that powerlessness will be enjoyed. With someone he is frightened of, he does not like it at all. Loki is a complicated thing when it comes to his power balance and his kink needs. He can surprise himself and others what he will or won't enjoy in the moment.
C - Answered previously
D - Dominance (do they prefer to dominate, or be dominated? do they have experience as a Dom? Do they have a Dom that they trust already? What kind of things do they enjoy as/with their Dominant partner?)
// I think this is entirely partner dependent. Loki thrives in switchy relationships. If he's with someone who is one or the other, he prefers sub males and dom females. He can lean a little more toward dominant at times because he likes control and to show his partner what he can do for them and to tease them. However, if he either trusts someone or has the hots enough for someone that he'll allow them to dominate him, he loves to get bossed about as a brat and made to behave. He has more experience being a dom and by default hasn't really allowed others to dominate him out of fear and distrust. Unofficially speaking he would allow the following people to dominate him (though this list isn't conclusive): Strange, Thor (in Thorki verses), Tony (if he's fancying a change from bottom), Sylvie, Sif. There is a limit to his being dominated. He doesn't like to feel like a pet, though a monster is a different matter. He doesn't like to play servant or be degraded or humiliated unless there is a specific circumstance that turns him on. Mostly he prefers to be told off in a way that makes him feel cheeky and clever; he likes to be threatened; manhandled and/or restrained.
E - Extra info (any other fetishes? feet? leather? role playing? blood? fantasies that they might want to experience not on this list?)
// Oh, man. I've likely missed something but here's some stuff for now. Loki would be thrilled to role-play with a partner. He loves playing pretend and I think getting to do this in a sexual setting would probably keep him from so much of his acting out that he does elsewhere to everyone's cost. He is also able to shape shift into other people and species, which adds a whole other level to it. He is also into rape fantasy to a point, the romanticised Disneyfied kind where he or his partner would play-act as villain to the 'you fiend how dare you' counterpart. He likes elements of knife-play, but typically just the threatening aspect. He's not really into hurting his partners or being hurt or bled (though I'm exploring that a little in alternate threads) and the only time he likes blood to be involved in sex is if they're screwing in the blood of their slain enemies. He has a little bit of a thing for tentacles and monsters if he considers them handsome/beautiful enough (*cough* Strange Supreme) and he's very into Stark's armours. My Lokes might not have as many kinks as some others, not as much as I'd imagine his mythical origin to have, but he's pro the existence of most kinks. In his MCU form, he's generally too refined to find enjoyment in body substances. I recommend suggesting various kinks that aren't listed on this quiz and seeing what he says about them.
F - Food play (do they like using food in the bedroom? are there any foods they prefer to use during sex or foreplay? any they’d like to try?)
// I wouldn't say he's overly fussed about it but he would enjoy feeding a partner fruit or drizzling them in honey. Otherwise it would depend on the food. He's seen enough (and been one of) warriors at banquet tables not to often think about putting the two together unless he's in a very rare mood.
G - Answered previously
H - Humiliation (does degradation and insults get them hot? do they get off on humiliating someone else? what kind of humiliation is good for them?)
// This is a complex one. Instinctively, Loki emphatically does not enjoy humiliation. He is prideful and insecure. He does not enjoy being treated like he is worthless or being ridiculed. However, there are blurred lines when it comes to certain relationships that involve a lot of banter. Strangefrost, for example, thrives on them insulting one another and revelling in each other's misfortune, but it has its limits. Sexual humiliation, particularly, is unlikely to make for a happy Loki. He is more tolerant of what I suppose you might call situational humiliation i.e. things go wrong for him and right for his opponent, he has bad luck, or gets temporarily outwitted. Anything that makes him feel treated like he's truly inferior or takes away his agency runs the risk of him leaving a sexual encounter or, worse, attacking his intended partner. When it comes to being the one doing the humiliating, Loki adores playing tricks on people and feeling cleverer than they are, so he does enjoy that aspect of teasing another, but usually only to the point of riling them up to fight back. He could entertain the idea of being cruel to someone if they asked him to, but it would venture into role-play territory for him to enjoy it. I could see him liking playing around with it as his dominant side, much like when he was throwing Tony around in the Avengers XD Back to the sexual side of things, anything related to bathroom usage is a no-go. Even if he treated someone like an animal, he'd want things clean.
I - Answered previously
J - Jelly (what kind of lube are they using? is it flavored? have they tasted it? do they prefer to use something other than real lube during sex?)
// On Asgard, they have various different oils that serve as lubricant. They're a fairly sex positive culture when you've not got some princely expectation of you (which does very little to change that anyway). For anal sex, Loki keeps oils about his person to conjure up with magic when needed. For vaginal, his or her magic increases stimulation to help naturally prepare either a female partner or her own parts. Midgard, among other planets, though, has a lot more variety of options to have fun with and Loki approves. He's fascinated by varying flavours and sensations. Once he knows of them, he can mimic them with his illusions rather than needing to purchase anything but base lube. Sex with other species can end up not requiring lube e.g. tentacled beings who have their own natural secretions.
K and L - Answered previously
M - Masochism (do they like pain? scratching? biting? being bossed around? spoken down to? choked?)
// Despite his fairly high pain tolerance, Loki does not enjoy pain. He can put up with it for a while if his mischief suffices to be amusing enough to him to be worth it. He can sort of enjoy it if he's engaging in rough sex or a foreplay fight; he likes the act of provoking people for a reaction, but the end goal isn't to get hurt. With scratching or biting he prefers it in play rather than making a mark. He will allow it more from human partners who likely won't damage him anyway. He does, however, very much like getting bossed around by certain partners, so long as he can be a brat about it all. Being talked down to is touchy for him and liable to make him angry; I'd say situation dependent. As for choked, haha, no. The only people he would allow to squeeze his throat are his brother (Thorki or otherwise) or regular human partners without extreme trust. Too much pressure will freak out a post Infinity War Loki. Other Lokis just don't find it a turn-on.
N - Not yet (orgasm delay? orgasm denial? do they tell their partner not to touch themselves for a certain amount of time or under certain circumstances? do they delay or deny other things like bathroom usage or food? do they need to beg first? do they like being denied / delayed?)
// Loki definitely enjoys the tease of orgasm delay whether for himself or for his partner. He likes to get people to an utterly desperate point and to use magic to keep them from going too soon, testing them to see if they will beg. He's a little bit more impatient to reach his own end, but having things drawn out is all part of the game. Denial is not something that he enjoys at all. It will make him angry. He might deny a partner if he's being a shithead or he's feeling vengeful. Denying partners touch would be something he would have fun with, though he would like it less for himself, I think. Needs like food or bathroom breaks he has no interest in denying. They aren't the same as carnal desire. Though, in darker verses, I could see him liking the control aspect of withholding food or water until a captive begged.
O - Answered previously
P - Photography (are cameras allowed in the bedroom? do they send nudes? do they ask for nudes? would they ever record themselves having sex / being caught up in a sexual act?)
// This doesn't particularly interest Loki though he would enjoy putting on a show for a partner's attention. I wrote a frostiron fic on the subject once that covers a little of his feelings on it. He wouldn't send nudes in his male form, though in female form she would send suggestive pictures or ones of her in lingerie. He wouldn't say no to having tasteful nudes sent to him, but trusting a god of mischief with such things is your funeral. He'd be open to experimenting with recording something, but when he can recreate a memory with illusions he's not going to go out of his way for it.
Q - Quiet please (what’s the volume like in the bedroom? are they quiet? do they scream? do they like a loud partner? do they prefer if their partner is more soft spoken?)
// Situation dependent. Loki is capable of keeping himself quiet when necessary, though he likes to at least make soft ragged breaths. Typically he will make a medium amount of noise with snarls, gasps, and grunts. If the going is rough, he'll yell. In female form, she can be much noisier. Loud moans, cries, keens, shrieks, the works. He doesn't mind what volume his partner lets out, although he does enjoy the powerful feeling of managing to get loud noises out of a partner. As long as they're not just lying there like a doll making no noise, he'll have fun.
R - Routine (do they have a routine when it comes to picking up one night stands? do they have scheduled sex with their partner? are things spontaneous or planned ahead of time?)
// No routine, only chaos. Or so he likes to think. There may well be a pattern to the way he'd go about finding casual sex, even if he'd want to deny it in his mind to keep himself from feeling boring. Scheduled sex would depend on if his partner needed that, and he would spice it up with some aspects of surprise when it was his turn, or request it of his partner. Spontaneity is his preference.
S - Sleepy sex (do they give oral to wake their partner up? do they like receiving oral to wake up? do they like fucking their partner awake? being fucked awake? how about being fucked to sleep at night? do they have lazy morning sex?)
// If a partner is comfortable with it, Loki would probably enjoy touching or fucking them awake. If he's feeling cheeky or generous he might give oral, but only if he's in a comfortable enough relationship, sharing a bed. He likes being touched or sucked awake, but fucked awake would need some particular trust and would be partner dependent. Fucked to sleep he would enjoy, though the energy that would require might well break the bed. He'd absolutely go for lazy morning sex, though he wouldn't remain lazy for too long. Despite not being particularly a morning person, his Asgardian stamina (and his ingrained anxiety) would rouse him fairly quickly.
T - Top or bottom (self explanatory…)
// Loki's a switch. Prefers to top in his male form unless he trusts/loves someone enough or is too riled up to care.
U - Underwear (what kind of underwear do they put on in the morning, if any at all… do they own any sexy underwear or lingerie?)
// In male form, he doesn't wear any. Female form she likes to wear a variety of the sexiest of lingeries.
V - Voyeurism (do they like to watch, or are they more hands on? are they more of an exhibitionist?)
// Whilst there is some pleasure in watching others have fun if they're putting on a show for him, Loki prefers to be involved. He likes attention and to feel wanted and he needs reassurance about that, without it being obviously stated. He doesn't want people to think he's needy. When Loki is drunk there is a much larger chance of him showing exhibitionist tendencies as he gets overexcited and misbehaviour outwins propriety. Sober, he's more likely to remain clothed, but that doesn't mean he won't put on a show. What voyeurism he does enjoy, however, is when he secretly catches people cheating on someone else or witnesses participants he hasn't expected. Free porn with a side order of blackmail is far sweeter.
W - Water (pool sex? bath / shower sex? are they into watersports at all?)
// Yes to sex in water. It's a bit awkward but fun for a laugh and he's pretty good with balance and protecting his partners from harm. Watersports, no. He's pro people enjoying it as it's his in his remit to encourage being filthy but it's not personally for his MCU incarnation. For anyone unfamiliar with the term, it's the sexual kind of watersports rather than what Mobius is into.
X - X-dressing (do they crossdress as a part of teasing / foreplay? does crossdressing turn them on? turn their partner on? do they prefer to do it or watch their partner crossdress instead? do they use other costumes? cat ears, tails, etc?)
// It's not a particular kink of Loki's because he can literally transform his sex and shape. That said, I could see how some Lokis would love to do it as a big fuck-you to Asgardian masculinity culture. Unfortunately, this version of Loki is very caught up in that culture so he likes to feel masculine (in an elegant way) when he's male and feminine when he's female, or somewhere in between depending on the shape he takes. Whether he's turned on by a partner crossdressing would depend on the partner and whether he feels the garments suit them. Personally I don't think Hiddleston's build suits dresses for example but you'd have to put him in a dress that suited him and change my mind :P In female form she'd absolutely rock menswear. Now I really want to see what Loki looks like in full drag >.>
Y - Yes, Master (what kinds of names are used during sex? do they like being called master / mistress, daddy, etc…? what names do they call their partner?)
// Some of this will be partner dependent. Loki generally responds well to princely, kingly, or godly titles. Either during role-play or in darker threads he might like 'master'. He does not like being called daddy and he would never call someone else daddy except possibly in female form for either Strange or SIM if they wanted it, but it is not a kink of Loki's. He isn't really one for giving names either, though you may hear the occasional darling, dear (usually ironically), or 'sweet [insert name]'. He's more likely to give descriptions or call someone a precious mortal (if applicable) while he teases them. He could enjoy calling someone 'slave' in role-play. I recommend (carefully) calling him things and seeing how he responds, and only by people he's attracted to. Don't call him kitten, though, unless you're prepared to see a knife.
Z - Zones (what are their erogenous zones? what spots on their body should be touched, bitten, kissed, when someone wants to get them in the mood?)
// I think I covered this in the kissing answer. His neck is definitely the main one. Followed by his waist, if you're lucky enough to see it exposed. Squeezing his arse works, too, but probably best done if you're in bed with him and not just passing or you'll be in for a world of trouble that day. For good or ill.

I'm a Chinese, nationally and racially. Racial projection seems to be a common practice in western fandom, doesn't it? I find it a bit... weird to witness the drama ignited upon shipping individuals with different races, or the tendency to separate characters into different "colors" even though the world setting doesn't divide races like that. Such practice isn't a thing here. Mind explaining a bit on this phenomenon?
--
Sure, I can try. But of course, fish aren’t very good at explaining the water they swim in.
Americans aren’t good at detecting our own Americanness, and a lot of what you’re seeing is very much culturally American rather than Western in general. (In much of Europe, “race” is a concept used by racists, or so I’m told, unlike in the US where it’s seen more neutrally.) Majority group members (i.e. me, a white girl) aren’t usually the savviest about minority issues, but I’ll give it a shot.
The big picture is that most US race stuff boils down to our attempts to justify and maintain slavery and that dynamic being applied, awkwardly, to everyone else too, even years after we abolished slavery.
There’s a concept called the “one drop rule” where a person is “black” if they have even one drop of black blood.
We used to outlaw “interracial” marriage until quite recently. (That meant marriage between black people and white people with Asians and Hispanic people and others wedged in awkwardly.) Here’s the Wikipedia article on this, which contains the following map showing when we legalized interracial marriage. The red states are 1967.
Tumblr media
That’s within living memory for a ton of people! Yellow is 1948 to 1967. This is just not very long ago at all. (Hell, we only fully banned slavery in 1865, which is also just not that long ago when it comes to human culture.)
Why did we have this bananas-crazy set of laws and this idiotic notion that one remote ancestor defines who you are? It boils down to slavery requiring a constant reaffirming that black people are all the same (and subhuman) while white people are all this completely separate category. The minute you start intermarrying, all of that breaks down. This was particularly important in our history because our system of slavery involved the kids of slaves being slaves and nobody really buying their way out. Globally, historically, there are other systems of slavery where there was more mobility or where enslaved people were debtors with a similar background to owners, and thus the people in power were less threatened by ambiguity in identity.
Post-slavery, this shit hung around because it was in the interests of the people in power to maintain a similar status quo where black people are fundamentally Other.
A lot of our obsession with who counts as what is simply a legacy of our racist past that produced our racist present.
--
The other big factor in American concepts of identity is that we see ourselves as a nation of immigrants (ignoring our indigenous peoples, as usual). A lot of people’s families arrived here relatively recently, and we often don’t have good records of exactly where they were from, even aside from enslaved people who obviously wouldn’t have those records. Plenty of people still identify with a general nationality (”Italian-American” and such), but the nuance the family might once have had (specific region of Italy, specific hometown) is often lost. Yeah, I know every place has immigrants, and lots of people don’t have good records, but the US is one of those countries where families have on average moved around a lot more and a lot more recently than some, and it affects our concepts of identity. I think some of the willingness to buy into the idea of “races” rather than “ethnicities” has to do with this flattening of identity.
New immigrant groups were often seen as Other and lesser, but over time, the ones who could manage it got added to our concept of “whiteness”, which gave them access to those same social and economic privileges.
Skin color is a big part of this. In a system that is founded on there being two categories, white owners and black slaves, skin color is obviously going to be about that rather than being more of a class marker like it is in a lot of the world.
But it’s not all about skin color since we have plenty of Europeans with somewhat darker skin who are seen as generically white here, while very pale Asians are not. I’m not super familiar with all of the history of anti-Asian racism in the US, but I think this persistent Otherness probably boils down to Western powers trying to justify colonial activities in Asia plus a bunch of religious bullshit about predominantly Christian nations vs. ones that are predominantly Buddhist or some other religion.
In fact, a lot of racist archetypes in English can be traced back to England’s earliest colonial efforts in Ireland. Justifying colonizing Those People because they’re subhuman and/or ignorant and in need of paternalistic rulers or religious conversion is at the bottom of a lot of racist notions. Ironic that we now see Irish people as clearly “white”.
--
There are a lot of racist porn tropes and racist cultural baggage here around the idea of black people being animalistic. Racist white people think black men want to rape/steal white women from white men. Black women get seen as hypersexual and aggressive. If this sounds like white people projecting in order to justify murder and rape... well, it is.
Similar tropes get applied to a lot of groups, often including Hispanic and Middle Eastern people, though East Asians come in more for creepy fantasies about endlessly submissive and promiscuous women. This nonsense already existed, but it was certainly not helped by WWII servicemen from here and their experiences in Asia. Again, it’s a projection to justify shitty behavior as what the party with less power was “asking for”.
In porn and even romance novels, this tends to turn up as a white character the audience is supposed to identify with paired with an exotic, mysterious Other or an animalistic sexy rapist Other.
A lot of fandoms are based on US media, so all of our racist bullshit does apply to the casting and writing of those, whether or not the fic is by Americans or replicating our racist porn tropes.
(Obviously, things get pretty hilarious and infuriating once Americans get into c-dramas and try to apply the exact same ideas unchanged to mainstream media about the majority group made by a huge and powerful country.)
--
Politically, within the US, white people have had most of the power most of the time. We also make up a big chunk of the population. (This is starting to change in some areas, which has assholes scared shitless.) This means that other groups tend to band together to accomplish shared political goals. They’re minorities here, so they get lumped together.
A lot of Americans become used to seeing the world in terms of “white people” who are powerful oppressors and “people of color” who are oppressed minorities. They’re trying to be progressive and help people with less power, and that’s good, but it obviously becomes awkward when it’s over-applied to looking at, say, China.
--
Now... fandom...
I find that fandom, in general, has a bad habit of holding things to double standards: queer things must be Good Representation™ even when they’re not being produced for that purpose. Same for ethnic minorities or any other minority. US-influenced parts of fandom (which includes a lot of English-speaking fandom) tend to not be very good at accepting that things are just fantasy. This has gotten worse in recent years.
As fandom has gotten more mainstream here, general media criticism about better representation (both in terms of number of characters and in terms of how they’re portrayed) has turned into fanfic criticism (not enough fics about ship X, too many about ship Y, problematic tropes that should not be applied to ship X, etc.). I find this extremely misguided considering the smaller reach of fandom but, more importantly, the lack of barriers to entry. If you think my AO3 fic sucks, you can make an account and post other fic that will be just as findable. You don’t need money or industry connections or to pass any particular hurdle to get your work out there too.
People also (understandably) tend to be hypersensitive to anything that looks like a racist porn trope. My feeling is that many of these are general porn tropes and people are reaching. There are specific tropes where black guys are given a huge dick as part of showing that they’re animalistic and hypersexual, but big dicks are really common in porn in general. The latter doesn’t automatically mean you’re doing the former unless there are other elements present. A/B/O or dubcon doesn’t mean it’s this racist trope either, not unless certain cliched elements are present. OTOH, it’s not hard for a/b/o tropes to feel close to “animalistic guy is rapey”, so I can see why it often bothers people.
A huge, huge, huge proportion of wank is “all rape fantasies are bad” crap too, which muddies the waters. I think a lot of people use “it’s racist” as an easy way to force others to agree with their incorrect claims that dubcon, noncon, a/b/o, etc. are fundamentally bad. Many fans, especially white fans, feel like they don’t know enough to refute claims of racism, so they cave to such arguments even when they’re transparently disingenuous.
--
Not everyone here thinks this way. I know plenty of people offline, particularly a lot of nonwhite people, who think fandom discourse is idiotic and that the people “protecting” people or characters of color are far more racist than the people writing “bad” fic or shipping the wrong thing.
But in general, I’d say that the stuff above is why a lot of us see the world as white people in power vs. everyone else as oppressed victims, interracial relationships as fraught, and porn about them as suspect. Basically, it’s people trying to be more progressive and aware but sometimes causing more harm than good when those attempts go awry.

How would you react if someone close to you found out you enjoy Diabolik Lovers and then accused you of glorifying Laito’s actions by drawing fan art of him? I don’t think it is shameful to enjoy fiction with themes of abuse as long as one can differentiate between fiction and reality and right and wrong, but I was just wondering if you think it is worth ending a whole friendship because of this dispute. My friends think I am someone who supports sexual assault through this series and it hurts.
Coming back from the dead to answer this question
Oh goodness, first of all, I’m very sorry anon. I’ve been in that exact situation with a friend when I first got into DL six years ago. They’re not my friend anymore due to some other things that happened in early high school on top of that, but trust me, it’s something that I’m familiar with too.
I was also ashamed of myself as well for some time. But, after when I was first sexually assaulted, I still didn’t mind Dialovers, and in fact, it was a coping mechanism for me (probably the healthiest I could find at that moment too). Although, Laito’s HDB route definitely hit very very hard because it is his darkest route in the series. But you can still watch something and be like “oh god this is a terrible situation” but know it’s still fictional, and since Laito’s HDB route is a well written one, you can appreciate it from an artistic stance. Art and media shouldn’t be limited to drawing the positives. Sure does it glorify nonconsensual situations??? Maybe a little but it does show Yui’s deterioration and trauma. Which is why I don’t think it glorifies it too much in HDB, considering what Yui’s thoughts are can be very real.
(Also not saying all sexual assault survivors will have the same opinion of this anime, I don’t speak for all survivors. But there’s your perspective from one :))
Regardless, the fanservice of DL, at its core, is a ravishment fantasy franchise. Sure people are here for the lore too (I know I am), but they can also be for the fanservice. I am unsure how old you are, anon, but considering this petty argument is occurring between a friend and you, it sounds like some high school/late middle school drama to me. I preface this considering I’m gonna be arguing something from the 18+ scale too. If you’re not 18+ this doesn’t rly apply to you (since no minors should be practicing kink) but there is something called CNC, or “consensual non-consensual.” Also known as “rape roleplay.” It’s a kink that can be used in BDSM, and is enacted by consenting adults. Is it nonconsensual? No way! However, in order to practice this, you need a lot of communication and trust, and it’s something that you shouldn’t start out with of course. Also, see Netflix’ “Sex Explained” and I think the first episode is on sexual fantasies. Many women have ravishment fantasies, but that doesn’t mean they want it ACTUALLY to happen to them!! With those types of fantasies it’s just in a D/s (Dom/sub) power play situation, which again, is performed by two (or more) consenting adults.
When it comes to that argument as well, it’s kind of like saying “if you watch and like slasher horror, you support serial killers” which,,,, is far from truth. Murder and rape are both terrible things. We’re just more used to seeing glorified violence on mainstream media rather than rape in general. There’s a whole slasher fandom! With people who love the lore and people who love the characters! It’s pretty similar to this fandom given the circumstances. But there’s people who have crushes on real life serial killers, and that’s just,,,, that’s a huge issue (abs very gross), and very different. Since one’s fantasy, and one’s in real life with real life actions that have affected legitimate families that exist. Even going from the slasher serial killer, it’s like “if you like Deadpool, do you support his actions?” (Which yes he’s an antihero but he does pretty illegal things) which no!!! It’s fun to explore dark and illegal exposition in a fictional world! It’s an escape! It’s looking at a story and still having empathy and sympathy for the characters.
So no!!! Liking DL is not supporting rape!! That’s legitimately such a stretch, and if you want to get technical with this, it’s a type of fallacy called the “slippery slope” fallacy. I believe it’s a combo of others too, but it’s making a claim and having the conclusion be way out of left field. I believe it falls under poor deductive reasoning (but it may be unsound inductive reasoning, it’s been a while since I’ve had to use those skills oops). For an anime specific example, let’s just say you know someone who has a crush on Yuno Gasai from Future Diary. Many people do. Many people love her character. Yuno’s a very flawed, traumatized character just like the ones in DL. But people love her! But you’re not supporting her incredibly unethical actions and murder by liking them!
Even if you know that this is a fictional universe, if you knowthat the characters are flawed but still like their characters, that doesn’t mean you’d support their actions irl. If they’re an interesting villain like legitimately all the characters (except Yui) in the first game are (the diaboys become both the villain??? And the hero??? It’s blurred in the later games but that’s what I love about DL), but you can appreciate their characters and flaws, that’s not supporting their actions at all. It’s a goddamn fictional universe and if you know not to do that and you know the repercussions of it irl then your friends should know you well enough that you have a good head on your shoulders!!! Shit makes me wicked mad, but it’s nothing to lose a friendship over unless if they’re being very toxic (that ex friend I was talking about earlier was a very toxic person and that’s also part of the reason why I’m not her friend anymore but it wasn’t DL related). Sure you can disagree with liking DL, but you still have to respect them. I’m linking a video from Markiplier made four years ago with a powerful message.
I’m very sorry you’re going through this. It’s completely normal, healthy, and inconsequential to be exploring a dark fictional world but not its contents in real life. Your friends shouldn’t be treating you like that. It’s hypocritical of them in my opinion, assuming that they also watch stuff with violence and illegal/unethical acts in them—I don’t know a single person who doesn’t, considering there’s even kids cartoon violence. Best of luck you you though, I hope I was able to help.

Hey, could you explain what being a feminist means? I’ve heard all these terms before, and there’s this huge stigma around it. So do you think there’s a way you could clarify at least what your beliefs are, and what you believe it to be? I’m simply trying to study stuff and see what it’s become or is. Thank you.
Sorry I wrote so much i just wanted to make it comprehensive:
General definition of feminist is someone who believes in the socio-economic equality of the sexes. In the beginning this was a straightforward ideology to follow. Women needed to be equal to men. It’s only fair, there’s no reason not to be. But sharing power is not something the ruling majority particularly enjoys so there’s been some bumps in the road. Decades and decades of bumps.
The feminists of the past started this push a long time ago with one message: “we want to be taken seriously, we are humans too and we need rights that benefit us and protect us from you[men]” and they were right. Sex based crimes against women were happening at an alarming rate. So much so that it had become part of some cultures and traditions, meaning it would be defended and men would be protected while women basically died, physically and socially. Women lived in fear and helplessness, being sold a dream of subservience promoted by religion and ego in exchange for protection from men. What about the women that still, despite the odds, wanted to choose a different path? Well, they were brave enough to step out of line and others followed. They exist throughout history, inspiring other women will their bravery and confidence, proving that it was possible to have the power and authority that men had. Now imagine giving every woman that access to power? They’d have everything right? Well feminism didn’t start like that (it was racially exclusive actually) but fortunately the ideologies spread out through cities, across oceans and into continents where women wanted, no, NEEDED such power; the power to change their destinies that had been set upon them by another mere human being.
So feminism is like a sisterhood, where we’re only related by a common goal to protect each other while trying to defeat our common enemy. Here’s where the simplistic ideology begins to mutate based on strategy and cultural progression.
Feminism is a sisterhood, but not a monolith. There’s been different waves (eras) of feminism where each sisterhood used different tactics to achieve their goals for equality. Its like making a new checklist after the old one gets checked off. However there’s been one item that still needs a lot of work before ticking off and that’s dismantling gender roles. Gender roles are the root cause of every.single.thing. Toxic masculinity, performative femininity. Gender roles were created to control humans and keep them in their place. For a feminist to push her way into male dominated spaces, she must first acknowledge that gender roles have been constructed to work against her and break through it. So take note, everything is the way it is because of gender roles.
In this era, the sisterhood has been split into two major groups, two warring tribes if you will: libfems and radfems.
Liberal Feminists accept everyone. They use the tactic of assimilation, where they water down feminist ideologies to make it inclusive for everyone. They follow the lead of oppressed minorities who reclaimed slurs and instead reclaim methods tused to oppress women that past waves of feminists fought to dismantle. Remember what I said about gender roles? These women are bringing it back and think they’re reclaiming it. How do you reclaim something that hasn’t been dismantled yet?The only power they’re concerned with is the feeling of superiority that comes from thinking bowing down to the patriarchy is their idea. Their feminism tackles issues like rape, victim blaming and misogyny, things that affect them personally, while taking on the burden of other marginalised groups as their own, pushing their own goals to the backseat while feeling a self-righteous high. Basically, they’re activists who have lost the plot but would keep pushing blindly than admit it. The second group was born from libfems that wanted more than a feel good pat on the back from the patriarchy for not being too interfering.
Radical feminists are still following the original objective of their predecessors. They still have their eyes open to sex-based oppression and are aware there’s still a lot of work to be done. They don’t put the opposite sex’s needs above their own or let other group’s ideologies influence theirs and because of this, other groups as well as libfems have dubbed them as enemies to progress. Ironic isn’t it? The group that still fights for sexual equality has been silenced by none other than their own. Of course hatred for this group of feminists didn’t come out of nowhere. Radfems and their female-only values are presumed to hurt trans women, as trans women are biologically male and don’t have the same sex based experiences as biological women. Trans activists took these as transphobic fighting words and ostracised radfems, silencing them and their ideologies, claiming that everything they fought for was an attack against the trans community. Conservative americans also share some radfem values, basically the one on keeping the movement focused on female only issues, and because the right is notoriously bigoted (ironic because conservatives are the ones who uphold the gender roles feminists fight against so a conservative feminist is paradoxical) this is enough to tell people that radfems can’t be trusted. That they’re all racist, transphobic white supremacists. Because all groups that share similar ideologies are bad. The public, not wanting to be on the Unpopular Opinion side of history, shifted away and further pushed radfems into the background while libfems and their blind acceptance values were hailed as the patron saints of feminism.
So what feminism was and what it is now are vastly different. It started as a movement in different countries with different goals, then it graduated and took on more serious topics. It was like a game where every level gets tougher to prepare you for that last boss, the one who holds all the power you need to physically change your reality.
Today in the year 2021, young girls are being told that it’s feminist to enjoy selling their bodies for money. That it’s the same as working in a mine (a common comparative statement). That it’s feminist to look as womanly as the gender roles men created dictate. That it’s feminist to watch porn and be happy your romantic partner watches it to; this means you’re sexually liberated. Grown women go to Tiktok full of minors in the style of pimps to show off stacks of money they’ve made from pleasing men. They say “i did it because i wanted to and so should you”. Minors are all over twitter trying to lure men with financial dominatrix tags. They can’t wait till they become legal to start selling their nude bodies to men. They were told it would make them feel powerful. People who are skeptical are shamed into silence, because the popular crowd is always in control and no one wants to be the odd one out.
Now compare that to women who spend time researching horrifying news of sexual violence still happening today. Women still having to sell themselves to survive in 2021 is a clear indicator that we’re still not taken seriously. Sex buying, pimping and displaying women as commodities is the reason little girls are being stolen off the streets and shipped off to a disgusting dreg who think he’s owed sexual satisfaction.
Radfems want to end child sex trafficking, sex slavery, wedding night virginity checks, honour killings, femicide, sewing up little girls vaginas to avoid them exploring their sexuality before their wedding night and bring attention to way more hardcore shit being run by top dogs who are cooperating with the old powers that influence the governments.
Whose side do you think the media will be on? Whose side is worth not risking ruffling feathers?
Feminism has become many things now. You can choose the one that reminds you of the cruelty of man or the one that creates a comfortable fantasy of false empowerment while women’s violence continues. Both get stigmatised anyway.
If it wasn’t obvious already, I’m a radical feminist.
I’m an autistic radfem living in a backwards country where the lgbt community can’t thrive so there’s no pride parades, no trans movement, nothing that can be publicised anyway. I can’t create a fantasy where everything works because nothing works. Women are dying around me everyday for being female, my best friend is trapped with an abusive father who hates her for being a female firstborn (something babies get killed for), I’m not worthy of basic respect without a husband, a poor woman from a muslim state gets death threats from her fellow muslims for wearing a backless top while a rich married one gets praised and women can’t apply for anything important without a man’s permission.
Now why on earth would i want to pamper the gender that made and uphold those laws? The battle here is still greatly a battle of the sexes. Despite this stale level of progress, our movement, like many others have allies. Male allies are great, allies are great, we need them to push buttons yes but also remember they can never fully understand what we feel. All they can do is try their best to help and in return we give them acknowledgement and support; so no we’re not supposed to be misandrists or transphobes. We just hate anyone who uplifts what we and our ancestors have been fighting to destroy.
That’s all

Writing Advice: Phrases/idioms and language barriers:
There are a ton of different idioms/sayings/phrases all around the world which people use all the time, but sometimes you should consider if a certain idiom really should be used, depending on what time-period, environmental/cultural settings etc you're using.
For example, describing something as spartan. Most of the time that's fine, but if it's in a fantasy world where Sparta never existed, would they really phrase it that way? Or in a story with medieval settings, would they really describe a kiss as a washing machine? (I've come across a case like that once, yes. No I will not tell you where it was. It was a story which tried to turn rape into romance and I hate that shit.) Or if your character haven't learned the language properly they might mistranslate one of their own sayings. In Sweden e.g. we don't say "close but no cigar", we say "close doesn't shoot a hare". In the right setting the reader will still understand the meaning, but it helps showing differences. This also works with characters which are from the same country but different areas, as some words/phrases might be unique for respective area (when I was younger I went to a school which was about 500km from where I grew up, it happened more than once my classmates had to ask wtf I just said). This also applies to different age-groups, professions and social status.
Do your characters speak different languages? If they aren't fluid they will have accents (not always needed to be written, and if you do so use it sparingly) and they will probably mix up words and grammar every now and then (I've probably done that a few times in this profile without noticing). If they don't know much of the language, there will likely be a lot of gestures and mumbling/humming as well. Don't they know anything from the other language? The things they will learn first (if they don't have a dictionary) will be stuff you can point at. And it will take time to learn it.
Another important thing to consider when you have characters with different linguistic backgrounds is body language. An English-speaking person would cross their fingers when wishing someone luck, while in Sweden we would hold our thumbs instead, because crossing your fingers means you're lying.
Do they speak sign language? That will also differ from area to area, so if two characters are from neighboring countries with similar languages (e.g. Sweden and Norway) they might understand 70-90% of what the other is saying. Different continents? Probably close to nothing.

I’ve been doing a lot of reading recently; between the @bannedtogetherbingo2020 kerfluffle and the BLM protests
(one thing that I’ve been doing recently that seems to annoy the living SHIT out of my fellow White People is correcting “riots” to “protests.”
“Were you near the riots --” “I did not attend the protests, but I did donate to the medical fund for the man who was injured by removal of the statue on High Street.”
This seems to drive people absolutely batshit, and I will continue to do it. These are not riots and if they have similar characteristics with riots it’s because cops are treating everyone not even like criminals, but like hostile enemy forces.)
Mostly what I’ve been reading about is the difficulty that POC fans have in getting their voices heard in fandom. That the history of fandom is primarily the history of White Fandom.
(this is long, so there’s more under the cut - I also tell stories A LOT so brace for personal experience asides)
I’ve been thinking about comments I’ve seen by black and brown fans about trying to get away from racist stories on A03. And trying to figure out if there’s a way to give people what they want -- a way to tag posts/topics/writers/ships on a permanent block list. I know I’ve spoken with several fans who have extensive filter scripts when they go looking for a new read and that shit is EXHAUSTING and doesn’t work necessarily on mobile devices.
I, for instance, have QUITE A LOT of stuff blacklisted on tumblr because I find P*nnyW*se the Creepy Teeth Demon to be horrific and I do not want him on my screen. And the movie’s name is IT for fuck’s sake. I can’t blacklist the word “It” and still expect to see any content at all. So, thinking about how much trouble I had keeping PWCTD off my screen gives me some sympathy to how hard it’s got to be to filter out something that people aren’t even tagging!
I mean, honestly, most of the time that people tag a fic TW: racist, they already KNOW the character is acting in a racist manner and they’re condemning it. When people don’t realize the character is racist, or a word, or a trope is racist (mystical black character, for instance) they don’t tag it as racist because they either don’t know, are unconscious of their own bias, of they don’t care that it’s racist.
In the same manner, Person A who’s writing fic they know is dub-con will tag it, and Person B who thinks stalking someone and climbing in their window at night is romantic will NOT tag the same scenes as dub-con.
Which doesn’t make it any less jarring when I suddenly run into a fic that I would absolutely count as noncon/dubcon that’s not tagged for it. The intentions of the author don’t matter TO ME at that moment, what matters to me is that I’m trying to breathe while the romantic interest on my eReader is saying “aw, that’s so sweet.”
So, there’s multiple questions that come up for me -- I’m not a computer person, so while the A03 code is available for use, I wouldn’t know what to do with it if I tried.
Is there a way to tag something from the outside? An overlay or side program (like an Xkit for A03) that would allow people to permanently blacklist certain tags or authors, tropes, etc? I know there are some hosting sites (unfortunately with ads) that basically funnel stuff from A03 to a reader. There was a big kerfluffle about it at the beginning of the year because OMG, someone is making money off my fanfic! protip, no, they weren’t. they were making money off someone else’s desire for a custom skin. The material itself was never leaving A03, it wasn’t stored anywhere else. A03 does not currently have a phone app and they don’t plan to have a phone app.
So, would it be possible for someone to write a phone-app that did a custom filter for the material. Blacklists are certainly possible, right?
Because here’s the thing; a lot of people who are racist don’t know that they are. Or they don’t care that they are. I have personally had a couple of hard conversations about racism (I’m not even going to call it “unconscious racism” because I am a grown-ass adult capable of reading, so if I act in a racist manner, I’m going to fucking own it. And apologize for it. And try to do better.) in my own work -- whitewashing a character at one point, using a quote from a black woman as a title for a story about Wanda. I’m still not entirely convinced that a Jewish/Romani woman is “white” in any sort of traditional sense. That said, I’m not a POC and I’m going to listen to the person who’s upset because of my usage and not my own feeling of “I don’t really think Wanda counts as white.” This may be partially because WANDA is whitewashed as shit in the MCU and a lot of people in the fandom do not read comics.
That further said, I made the changes as requested and apologized for it in the work/notes. And felt very uncomfortable when some of my white friends said “I’m sorry you had to deal with that.” I’m not sorry I had to deal with it. I wish I hadn’t DONE it, but I am glad that people felt comfortable enough with me to call my on my bullshit and I was able to make corrections and amends.
Still-- All of this boils down to: People are not going to, in good faith, tag their own fic as “don’t read this, I am racist.”
Everything that gets done on A03 -- which is an Archive -- is voluntary by the author. A03′s policies are pretty much “tag to warn” or “tag that you’re NOT tagging to warn.” The only action A03 takes for inappropriate tagging is to ask the author to update the Warning to match, or choose not to warn. If there’s no compliance, A03 will assign the fic “choose not to warn.” But that’s the extend of their policies.
We all know this history; no censorship. Censorship is a slope that leads to fanwork disappearing. Because here’s another fact: it doesn’t matter what the intention is of censoring a story; that censorship is going to be applied badly.
So, if A03 was going to ban racist fic, how long do you think it would take before the reporting system was flooded? Even legit reports of racism are going to take a while to read through, judge, contact the author, wait for possibly updates or retractions, and then removal.
A03′s staff are volunteers, and I understand there aren’t very many of them. There are six MILLION works on A03. No one could hope to read them all with a careful enough eye to catch all instances of harmful texts.
And we all know what’s going to happen: it’s easier to delete all stories that get complaints, rather than read them.
So, Fan A gets Fan C’s fic taken down for racial stereotyping and Fan C tells all of her friends, who go on a crusade to report every single one of Fan Q’s fics in retaliation (not because Fan Q did anything “wrong” but because they happened to post a blog about racial stereotyping in fandom) And we’re right back to strikethru.
Yet, censorship is one of those things that makes me very, very nervous. Do I think a white boy who writes a self-insert rape fantasy novella about violating and murdering Zoe Quinn should be allowed a platform? No, I don’t. (And neither did Amazon, who took it down fairly quickly once it was brought to their attention. But that’s only one case, where there are probably thousands of books that are personal attacks and are left merrily alone.)
There are a lot of books on the banned book list. If people thought they could get away with it, those books would be unpublished, unpersoned, black bagged.
We all know that the rules get applied badly, by the people with the biggest mouths and the loudest complaints. So banning content on A03 does not seem to be the solution.
(Personal story time again, just skip this if you want.)
I came into fandom backward; I was a traditionally published erotica / romance writer first and moved into fandom after the collapse of several small publishing houses for various scandals that I won’t bore you with but you can look here if you want more information.
Several years ago, I was in an anthology that i was Very Proud of, and I really like the editor I worked with, wanted to work with her again. She sent me a premise for submission that left me cold. Which is to say, she wanted to publish cuckolding stories.
[x] <-- warning, that link is REALLY harsh and filled with some real WTF moments, from someone who’s pointing out the racism inherent in the system.
Especially when you consider the Mandingo aspects of the fantasy, it’s easy to see why just the existence of it is repulsive.
I declined the invitation to participate because I was deeply uncomfortable with the subject matter.
I’m not saying that to get praise for my behavior.
Because when the subject came up again about two or three years ago in some fandom discourse, I sided with my friends who were defending “no censorship, no matter what.”
(End of personal aside.)
Despite my personal feelings about the issue (ew, this is icky and racist and horrible and I would never write it) I still believe that I don’t have the right to say what someone else can write, read, or enjoy.
I’m trying to find the path between “this sort of reading material is harmful and I don’t think it should have a platform,” “this should be heavily tagged to avoid upsetting people,” and “there are people who feel that way about gay, non-christian stories as well.” And what’s more, I’m trying to find it in a way that doesn’t stifle authors’ voices.
Even with my idea of an overlay, that’s putting the burden on the people most affected-- someone would have to rate stories as “racist” or “not racist” (and even then, it’s seldom that clear cut. Microaggressions abound.) and the people best capable of doing that would be readers of color. Which hardly seems productive. Or fair.
“Don’t like; don’t read” is often the calling card of fandom writers. I’ve said it myself. That’s what the fucking back button is for. But when I say it, I mean “I don’t want to hear your wank about Tony Stark in my inbox” not “I don’t want to be called out for racism when I wrote a story.”
https://ggmadeit.com/blog/why-i-cant-just-knit-the-story-of-a-black-knitter-during-civil-unrest/ -- I’m including this link because this piece really made me think. I can’t ever put down being a woman. I can’t read or watch horribly misogynistic work without being upset, and I have trouble sitting in the room with my male friends who insist on watching it and want to say “it’s only a movie.”
Being black is part of someone’s life. It can’t be erased just because it’s not convenient. Just because it interrupts your good time. It shouldn’t be put aside because “it’s just a story.”
As fans, we have to do better.
We all know what it’s like to be pushed out, to be made second best, to be asked when we’re going to get a real hobby, when are you going to grow up, why did you spend money on that merch? So we need to reach further.
I don’t have answers. And even if I did, I’m not the one who needs to give them. What I need to do is listen to the people who have answers and HELP THEM get what they need.
We need to do better. We need to BE better.

THE MEGA RP PLOTTING SHEET / MEME.
First and foremost, recall that no one is perfect, we all had witnessed some plotting once which did not went too well, be it because of us or our partner. So here have this, which may help for future plotting. It’s a lot! Yes, but perhaps give your partners some insight? Anyway BOLD what fully applies, italicize if only somewhat.
MUN NAME: Kaiman     AGE: 27       CONTACT: IM, ask, discord
CHARACTER(S): Meninas McAllon, Orihime Inoue, Retsu Unohana, Mashiro Kuna, Tier Harribel, Charlotte Chuuhlhourne
CURRENT FANDOM(S): That I write in? It’s gonna be Bleach, OVW (super selectively im just here for one person), ASOIAF (barely- literally when the mood strikes and that one is private also). I have a lot of current interests in general though.
BLEACH FANDOM(S) YOU HAVE AN AU FOR: While I don’t have anything fully established... I’ve been working with an ASOIAF au (for Harribel & Unohana specifically, though I’m considering it with other characters too), A Dorohedoro AU (for Unohana and Orihime), as well as a Persona AU (more specifically 2&3) for Orihime. I’ve also got a number of post-canon AUs or continuities for all my characters as well!
MY LANGUAGE(S): English, super basic Spanish, barest ASL, fairly good French
THEMES I’M INTERESTED IN FOR RP: FANTASY / SCIENCE FICTION / HORROR / WESTERN / ROMANCE / THRILLER / MYSTERY / DYSTOPIA / ADVENTURE / MODERN / EROTIC / CRIME / MYTHOLOGY / CLASSIC / HISTORY / RENAISSANCE / MEDIEVAL / ANCIENT / WAR / FAMILY / POLITICS / RELIGION / SCHOOL / ADULTHOOD / CHILDHOOD / APOCALYPTIC / GODS / SPORT / MUSIC / SCIENCE / FIGHTS / ANGST / SMUT / DRAMA
PREFERRED THREAD LENGTH: ONE-LINER / 1 PARA / 2 PARA / 3+ / NOVELLA (2para is a sweet spot but it really doesn’t matter to me)
ASKS CAN BE SEND BY: MUTUALS / NON-MUTUALS / PERSONALS / ANONS.
CAN ASKS BE CONTINUED?:   YES / NO    ONLY BY MUTUALS?:  YES / NO
PREFERRED THREAD TYPE: CRACK / CASUAL NOTHING TOO DEEP / SERIOUS / DEEP AS HECK.
IS REALISM / RESEARCH IMPORTANT FOR YOU IN CERTAIN THEMES?:   YES / NO.
ARE YOU ATM OPEN FOR NEW PLOTS?:  YES / NO / DEPENDS.
DO YOU HANDLE YOUR DRAFT / ASK - COUNT WELL?:  YES / NO / SOMEWHAT. (i let them build up too often but some of yall are too quick to reply jkglfjdgsd)
HOW LONG DO YOU USUALLY TAKE TO REPLY?: 24H / 1 WEEK / 2 WEEKS / 3+ / MONTHS / YEARS / DEPENDS ON MOOD AND INSPIRATION, AND IF I’M BUSY
I’M OKAY WITH INTERACTING: ORIGINAL CHARACTERS / A RELATIVE OF MY CHARACTER (AN OC) / DUPLICATES / MY FANDOM / CROSSOVERS / MULTI-MUSES / SELF-INSERTS / PEOPLE WITH NO AU VERSE FOR MY FANDOM / CANON-DIVERGENT PORTRAYALS / AU-VERSIONS (italicized are okay, but under really specific circumstances)
DO YOU POST MORE IC OR OOC?: IC / OOC.
ARE YOU SELECTIVE WITH FOLLOWING OTHERS?: YES / NO / DEPENDS
BEST WAYS TO APPROACH YOU FOR RP/PLOTTING:  I’m pretty anal about plotting in that I often refuse to RP unless it’s been plotted or I liked a starter call. And in the case of the latter, I’ll still hop into DMs to plot further depending on where the thread takes us. That said, the best way to reach me is through IMs or Discord (available on request). The only time I turn down plots is if I feel like it would put my character in an OOC situation, and I especially dislike my character being one-sidedly used as a tool to further another character’s development without anything being reciprocated (this happens often especially wrt my healer characters)
WHAT EXPECTATIONS DO YOU HOLD TOWARDS YOUR PLOTTING PARTNER: Communication is really important to me, especially with regards to comfort regarding certain plot elements, and approaching other in-character situations that might have multiple different solutions. I think it’s important that both characters involved get the same amount of development out of writing a thread, and I really hate the idea of being imbalanced as far as that goes (more on that below). That said, I’m always perfectly down to spitball plot ideas and tweak/refine other concepts because I really do enjoy plotting, it’s just super important to me that things are communicated clearly. I get extremely distressed and frustrated IRL if people just kinda throw stuff at me, and it often kills my muse.
WHEN YOU NOTICE THE PLOTTING IS RATHER ONE-SIDED, WHAT DO YOU DO?: I make an active effort to come up with plots that are engaging and beneficial fairly equally to both parties. I mentioned this above, but especially in the case of writing my healer characters, I have a huge disdain for characters being used as tools to further development while getting nothing substantial in return. That said, I try to be very aware of this in terms of a potential writing partner being on the receiving end. IMO it feels like shit, but I definitely don’t want to make someone else feel that way either. That said, so long as stuff is plotted out clearly and me and the writer are both okay with it, then it’s fine. COMMUNICATION IS KEY, BASICALLY.
HOW DO YOU USUALLY PLOT WITH OTHERS, DO YOU GIVE INPUT OR LEAVE MOST WORK TOWARDS YOUR PARTNER?:  I kinda just like to throw spaghetti at the wall and whatever sticks, I’m down to fly with. I have a lot of ideas, but again, I like to give my partners the option of doing whatever they’re comfortable with, and h aving equal contribution opportunities.
WHEN A PARTNER DROPS THE THREAD, DO YOU WISH TO KNOW?:   YES / NO / DEPENDS.
- AND WHY?: Everyone has their own circumstances, I really don’t mind. If it’s one I’ve been especially looking forward to, I might be bummed, but it’s no skin off my nose really.
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY LEAD YOU TO DROP A THREAD?: I don’t typically drop threads or abandon them during their writing. The only thing that would make me do so is offensive content, or huge plot elements being introduced that makes my character ooc and wasn’t previously discussed during plotting.
WILL YOU TELL YOUR PARTNER?:   YES / NO / DEPENDS.
IS COMMUNICATION IN THE RPC IMPORTANT TO YOU? YES / NO.
-AND WHY?: I already feel like I need to take a lot of extra steps to understand others and be understood, and that isn’t something often reciprocated. In my experience, just honest communication is the quickest solution to issues that crop up during writing. For those who HAVE actually had me reach out to them in this way, I really do try to be polite and respectful while being straightforward so the situation can be resolved without any hurt feelings.
ARE YOU OKAY WITH ABSOLUTE HONESTY, EVEN IF IT MAY MEANS HEARING SOMETHING NEGATIVE ABOUT YOU AND/OR PORTRAYAL?: As long as it’s constructive, and not merely negativity, I welcome it. After all, I can’t fix a huge flaw in my writing without having an alternative solution. I’m open to accepting feedback and critique, especially wrt Meninas since my portrayal is quite a large departure from popular fanon perception (from those who choose to pay attention to her, lol), but I also thrive on suggested remedies and solutions to issues in my writing.
DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HANDLE SUCH SITUATION IN A MATURE WAY? YES / NO.
WHY DO YOU RP AGAIN, IS THERE A GOAL?: I like to tell stories, and I like to tell narratives that take root in emotional expression and how those feelings can act as a vehicle to the storytelling. I want to move people through feeling, because it can be a powerful experience. I use a lot of inspiration from themes in my other favorite series, as well as inspiration from my own personal experiences as well. I tend to pick characters who have one or two traits in common with myself, whether those be negative or positive. I’m very excited to share all the things I have planned for Meninas, as she’s certainly my most ambitious project to date.
WISHLIST, BE IT PLOTS OR SCENARIOS:  For Meninas specifically, I want to interact with Squad 11 and Squad 9 during the CFYOW verse I have planned. Hisagi specifically would be interesting because of the clash of ideals, in addition to being the only other living person to be able to relate to the horror of being under Pepe’s thrall. I’d also like to steal Ikkaku’s bankai, and have more fight scenes. Lastly, Meninas doesn’t do much of anything in CFYOW, so more interactions with Mayuri and Squad 12 would be cool.
THEMES I WON’T EVER RP / EXPLORE: I don’t mind briefly referencing darker themes in my writing, especially wrt my own personal experiences, but I want to be very clear that I refuse to write at length or romanticize these themes. I refuse to write anything involving rape, homophobia, transphobia, racism, pedophilia, etc, with this in mind.
WHAT TYPE OF STARTERS DO YOU PREFER / DISLIKE, CAN’T WORK WITH?: Unless previously discussed, I struggle with starters that have a character pushing mine away. If the situation is super OOC for my character to be in, or frankly too mundane. In Meninas’ case, most domestic stuff is a snoozefest for me (but I LOVE this for other characters).
WHAT TYPE OF CHARACTERS CATCH YOUR INTEREST THE MOST?:  *saoirse ronan voice* Women. UHHH but no, for real... I like fleshing out female characters quite a bit. Personality types are varied, but I like characters who have some level of nuance to their emotional expression whether it’s an internal or external struggle. I like powerful women too, and the exploration of “strength” as a theme (esp at the intersection of the theme of “femininity” and its expressions) whether this is external strength or internal fortitude. I think I play a wide variety of characters who have vastly different thoughts, beliefs, and forms of expression, but I try to find something in common with who I portray to act as a touch stone. I also like characters who have themes of “justice” and nuanced morality.
WHAT TYPE OF CHARACTERS CATCH YOUR INTEREST THE LEAST?: 99% of male characters. And I also hate tsunderes gjklsdjfd
WHAT ARE YOUR STRONG ASPECTS AS RP PARTNER?: I really like my writing style especially wrt using emotion to set a cinematic scene and overall tone. I think I’m really strong with conveying emotion, especially with things that are often unspoken. I try to communicate with partners clearly and establish rapports. I love writing headcanons and have a TON of plot ideas as well.
WHAT ARE YOUR WEAK ASPECTS AS RP PARTNER?: Oh I’m the slowest replier on the planet and I’m apparently intimidating lol
DO YOU RP SMUT?:  YES / NO / DEPENDS.
DO YOU PREFER TO GO INTO DETAIL?: YES / NO / DEPENDS (i prefer to go into detail about sensations, rather than the actual acts as it comes off stifled and weirdly technical)
ARE YOU OKAY WITH BLACK CURTAIN?: YES / NO
- WHEN DO YOU RP SMUT? MORE OUT OF FUN OR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT?: Honestly I just do what Meninas tells me.
- ANYTHING YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO RP THERE?: Kink stuff is weird territory for me, absolutely gotta be discussed in private and comfort levels clearly established.
ARE SHIPS IMPORTANT TO YOU?: YES / NO. Relationships in general rule, and while I do have a romantic ship that plays a large part in Meninas’ plot, the romance comes secondary to the plot itself. I really enjoy writing and developing romances, but more than that I like establishing connections. I love the relationships I’ve got planned with Giselle, Candice, Liltotto, and Bambietta because there are going to be a LOT of drastically different things that inform my portrayal of Meninas coming from these relationships (both positive and negative, but ultimately places of growth).
WOULD YOU SAY YOUR BLOG IS SHIP-FOCUSED?: YES / NO. Like I said, plot comes first. And especially in the case of Meninas, she has a lot of self exploration and reflection to do before she can engage in a healthy relationship or address any feelings of romance. I do place a large focus on the formation of her relationships and how they shape the way she relates to other people and grows as a person, but I am extremely sensitive to making sure I’m not writing a female character who’s entire development is dependent on a romance with a male character- perish the thought lol.
DO YOU USE READ MORE?:  YES / NO / SOMETIMES WHEN I WRITE LONG STUFF.
ARE YOU:  MULTI-SHIP / SINGLE-SHIP / DUAL-SHIP  —  MULTIVERSE / Singleverse.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO EXPLORE THE MOST IN YOUR SHIPS?: For Meninas, it’s a matter of her acknowledging, understanding, and accepting that she can be worth more than how useful she is to others. She had a series of traumatizing and character defining experiences regarding love, romance, and personal worth that strongly shaped the way she perceives her relationships to others and her emotional expression. Trust is another huge factor for me, Meninas needs to be around someone she believes in. Strength is another aspect. She likes someone who challenges her, keeps her on her toes, and is sturdy like physically. Because she’ll break you. THAT SAID- Meninas tends to be open wrt her body, but closed off when it comes to her heart. Hate to see it, love to write it.
ARE YOU OKAY WITH PRE-ESTABLISHED RELATIONSHIPS?: YES / NO. As long as the premise makes sense. I like relationships to have some matter of significance and planning, especially because of how I’ve written the way Meninas picks and chooses who to get close to in Silbern depending on what suits her interests. Genuine friendship is a weird thing for Meninas, as most of her relationships are formed out of convenience. If you aren’t useful to Meninas’ schemeing, then she has no interest in dealing with you beyond platitudes and keeping up appearances and will interact with you as such.
► SECTION ABOUT YOUR MUSE.
- WHAT COULD POSSIBLY MAKE YOUR MUSE INTERESTING TOWARDS OTHERS, WHY SHOULD THEY RP WITH THIS PARTICULAR CHARACTER OF YOURS NOW, WHAT POSSIBLE PLOTS DO THEY OFFER?: WE LOVE DUPLICITOUS WOMEN! No, but at the core of my Meninas characterization, the sentiment is “Everything is not as it appears” even down to the relationships she has with others. Meninas’ entire personality is constructed as a survival tactic from an early age (in addition to being a way to make herself more useful as a tool to others, and thus seen as having more worth in general), and as a result, she hasn’t really allowed herself to live life as a fully realized person. Her plots generally offer silent rebellion, playing a role in regards to her self presentation, chaotic mean girl level bullshit, and cool fights/training. Also you get to interact with a big buff lady. That said about her personality, it depends on the verse. CFYOW Meninas will be more unhinged, while post-CFYOW Meninas will be more honest and rowdy.
- WITH WHAT TYPE OF MUSES DO YOU USUALLY STRUGGLE TO RP WITH?:  Muses who are standoffish or disengage right at the start. Meninas doesn’t interact with people without a certain purpose, so if they aren’t interested, she’s not going to be either.
- WHAT DO THEY DESIRE, IS THEIR GOAL?:  Revenge, strength, redefining what “power” means in terms of how the world works. She wants to see the Shinigami dead for their role in her parents deaths, and feels the same about Yhwach.
- WHAT CATCHES THEIR INTEREST FIRST WHEN MEETING SOMEONE NEW?:  Ability, potential threat, perceived strength, where loyalty lies; how potentially useful you can be to her.
- WHAT DO THEY VALUE IN A PERSON?:  Strength both in a physical sense, but also in belief and convictions. Honesty, and understanding the flaws of the world they live in.
- WHAT THEMES DO THEY LIKE TALKING ABOUT?:  Fighting, beauty, freedom, abolishing Quincy classism based on blood purity, music, fashion, blacksmithing.
- WHICH THEMES BORE THEM?: Blind loyalty to Yhwach, talking about the horrors of war as if it doesn’t concern them, Bambietta, Quincy supremacy,
- DID THEY EVER WENT THROUGH SOMETHING TRAUMATIC?:  Her parents were killed in the first Quincy war and she was left abandoned and grew up literally fighting for her life and living on the streets. She often likens fighting pits to the bowels of Hell (and I often play with the ironic theme of crawling out of hell to appear as an angel or something divine). She is consumed by a quest for revenge, and strongly believes her ends will justify the means taken to fulfill her ideal. As a direct result of these experiences, her emotional health and maturity is severely affected, and she doesn’t view herself as a person worthy or capable of feeling as much as a tool who, in the right hands, can be utilized to bring about the revenge she craves.
- WHAT COULD LEAD TO AN INSTANT KILL?:  (1) Men who feel non-consensually entitled to her body. That said, she’s done a fairly excellent job at maintaining control and an unassuming threatening nature despite the widely known understanding of her Schrift ability and how it augments. (2) Someone touching her Quincy cross, as it’s her most precious and private item. (3) Anyone who dares get in the way of her plans that can’t be manipulated in some other useful aspect.
- IS THERE SOMEONE /-THING THEY HATE?:  Meninas hates Yhwach, and the Shinigami most predominately, but she also harbors disgust for Hollows as an instinct. That said, her young life was spent detached from Quincy culture (in addition to being a Gemischt and the inherent isolation that comes with that status), so despite her early induction into the Wandenreich ranks, Meninas does not harbor the same Quincy nationalism and loyalty that others of her race do. They’re a means to an end, and just happen to help her become stronger.
IS YOUR MUSE EASY TO APPROACH?: YES / NO. - Best ways to approach them?: She comes off as easy to approach, but if you want genuine Meninas I’m sorry the number you’re trying to reach has been disconnected. Goodbye!
SOMETHING YOU MAY STILL WANT TO POINT OUT ABOUT YOUR MUSE?: Everything I’ve written about her is based in headcanon! I’ve got both a lengthy biography as well as headcanons gathered in the sidebar links on my blog.
CONGRATS!!! You managed it, now tag your mutuals! ♥

Summary- Nori, Dwalin and Thorin come up with a plan of attack for the next day at school.
Hey all, here’s the newest from my mind, please keep in mind that I do have dyslexia and I really do try to fix all spelling mistakes but some will always slip through. If you spot some please let me know and I will do my best to correct it. Thank you.
Nori walked back into the kitchen as Thorin hung up with his father. “I found Dwalin.” He announced dropping into a seat.
“Oh? Where was the pansy hiding?” Thorin chuckled. He had been a bit surprised when his friend had run off but looking back over the day as he had talked to his dad, he was also a bit surprised by a few things he had done.
“He was upstairs assaulting my brother.” Nori sighed.
“What?” Thorin half laughed half yelped.
“I hardly think that counts as assault.” Dwalin said as he walked in pulling off his wet shirt.
“If it’s not assault, then why are you stripping?” Thorin asked.
“What does one have to do with the other? And my shirt got wet from the shower you weirdo.” Dwalin flung his wet shirt in Thorin’s face as he sat down beside Nori. “So, what are you telling Dori?”
“No idea.” Nori leaned back in his chair. “Leave me in charge, because that’s a great plan Dori. In just under three days Ori can get the crap beat out of him and possibly raped by my best friend. Great plan Dori, great plan!” Dwalin punched Nori hard in the shoulder.
“Asshole, you could tell him the truth.” Dwalin grumbled playfully.
“Are you insane, he would be back here within the hour!” Thorin cut across the table. Nori just raised his eyebrows and pointed at Thorin in a ‘that’ gesture. Dwalin waved them off and continued.
“No, when does the conference end?”
“Tomorrow at like five.” Nori eyed Dwalin suspiciously.
“Right, so Bilbo and Ori aren’t seriously injured no broken bones or anything. Black and blue, sure and a little shaken but that’s it, they’re fine.” Thorin and Nori nodded. “Besides you come home beat to shit all the damn time. So we patch them up, they go to school tomorrow, they come home and he’ll be back at what seven, he can look at them then.”
“hmm, that could work.” Nori started.
“Wait, what about school tomorrow?” Thorin added. “They have classes with Fili and Kili.”
“Shit!” Nori growled.
“Are they actually stupid enough to start something in class?” Dwalin asked.
“I can certainly hope not, but there are times when they aren’t actually in class.” Thorin countered.
“We will walk them around. Ori and Bilbo won’t enter or exit a classroom without at least one of us.” Dwalin smirked triumphant.
“What about lunch?” Thorin asked with a deadpan stare.
“It’s a free period anyway and we always go pester them why would tomorrow be any different.” Nori smirked he was very much liking this plan any reason to stalk his little brother was a good thing.
“Since when is Biology a free period?” Thorin asked while Dwalin cocked an eyebrow at Nori.
“Since tomorrow.” Nori huffed. “Alright so that’s the plan. We all in agreement on this?”
“Yeah,” Thorin nodded. So Nori looked to Dwalin who just looked right back at him.
“No, I am not going to agree to my own plan.” Dwalin said flatly.
“Well that is just ridiculous; you need to have more faith in yourself man.” Nori shook his head and the three friends laughed.
Bilbo found Ori sitting on his bed in a loose sleep shirt and flannel pants. “Are you all right?” Bilbo asked sitting next to Ori.
“Yeah… he asked me to be his boyfriend.”
“See and you were too scared to say anything all this time.” Bilbo smirked.
Ori’s lips twitched into a quick nervous smile. “I didn’t agree to or anything.”
“What!? Why not?”
“Nori came in and kind of kill the conversation just as it was starting, then Dwalin followed after him laughing. And now I don’t know. I mean what if he was just joking or something or he wanted to get a little revenge of his own and Nori just kind of got in the way.”
“No,” Bilbo put a hand on Ori’s arm. “I think it was sincere. After you stormed away from Nori,” Ori’s shoulders sank. “which was fine don’t worry about it. Even Thorin told him off about it a little and it came out that Dwalin had liked you for over a year,” Bilbo leaned closer to Ori conspiratorially, “and Nori knew about it.” Ori shot a quick glance at Bilbo. “then Nori and Thorin where poking fun at Dwalin for not saying anything to you. Finally, I asked him if he had said anything to you yet, you know just to be sure, because if he had and you had been acting this way, I was going to have to punch you.”
“Good to know who my friends are.” Ori drawled.
“I am your friend; I want you to be happy. So yes, I think when he asked you to be his boyfriend, he was sincere, and you should definitely do it.” The two boys chuckled, Ori nodding that he would.
Ori looked over at Bilbo and was hit with a sudden wave of guilt. “AAh, I’m sorry Bilbo.”
“What? You’re confusing me now.”
“I’m sorry” Ori turned to Bilbo. “I’m sorry I ran out of the room before, for leaving you there alone. I shouldn’t have, panic just kind of set in and I bolted without thinking. I’m sorry.”
Bilbo smiled and looked down at the rug. “I can’t say I really blame you or that I’m really all that upset by it. I mean I probably would have done that same thing if I had thought of it and it turned out alright.” Bilbo glanced up at Ori. “I mean sure physically I feel like crap, but now you’re dating Dwalin and Thorin kissed me, so all in all the day was a pretty good one.”
“Thorin kissed you!” Ori’s eyes lit up with excitement as he smiled at his friend.
“Yeah.” Bilbo smiled at the thought of it. “Just after you left. I think the first time was just to get me to shut up, but after that…”
“The first time? How many times did he kiss you?”
“I don’t know, at least three or four.” Bilbo blushed as Ori fell back onto his bed with a sigh. “What? Don’t tell me he hasn’t.”
“No, he has but you know just the once.”
“Oh.” Bilbo fell back next to his friend. “Well you’re dating now so that’ll change.” Bilbo shrugged. “Do you have a better shirt I can wear?” Bilbo plucked at the way too large one he currently had on with a dejected sigh. Ori glanced at Bilbo sideways and realized he had one of Dori’s sleep shirts on, so he rolled off his bed groaning as he applied pressure to his bruise.
“Yeah I think so.”
“Oh it’s got to be close to two fifty by now.” Nori said as he pushed the stir-fry around the pan.
“Really? How long have they been writing them?” Thorin asked stretching himself across the table top.
“Well, I found them maybe a year ago and he already had a good stash. And I caught Bilbo bringing more over six or seven months ago.”
“They know you know about them? And they still hide them?” Dwalin chuckled.
“No, just Bilbo knows, well as far as I know.” Nori shrugged splashing some soy sauce into the stir-fry.
“Two fifty, what can they possibly write about two hundred and fifty times.” Thorin shook his head.
“Well they have all sorts of sub categories.” Nori tossed some of the vegetables into the pan. “There’s just you and Bilbo, just Ori and Dwalin, There are master slave scenarios.” Dwalin stood and walked over to the fridge to grab a soda. “Fantasy stuff, Syfy stuff, me and Ori, there’s Dori, me and Ori and Dori, Bilbo, Me and Ori,”
“Alright, stop, stop.” Dwalin put a hand over Nori’s mouth. Nori pulled away smirking.
“That’s not even the weirdest stuff but I’ll admit I have a hard time reading those.”
“You actually read them?” Thorin looked up at Nori confused.
“Oh, yeah. They’re pretty good, your boy’s got talent.”
“My boy?” Thorin rolled the words around in his mouth.
“Yeah, I only read what Bilbo has written, Bilbo’s got everything Ori writes.” Nori sprinkled some seasoning over the stir-fry.
“So where are they?” Dwalin asked sitting back down at the table. “Beside this one” Dwalin reached into his back pocket and dropped the story onto the table.
Nori raised an eye brow at the offending story of the day and smirked. “Why do you want to know?”
“Just curious as to what’s expected of me.” Dwalin rebuked.
“He’s afraid he’ll be a disappointment.” Thorin laughed, Dwalin smacked him across the back of the head. “See, I’m right.”
“I think you’ll be a slight change to what he was thinking.”
“Why?”
“He gives Bilbo back the stories he doesn’t like.” Nori huffed. “Apparently the most common complaint is that they don’t seem like they could really happen. But of the few that Bilbo has given me to read they seem pretty spot, on to me.”
“So you’ve also read the impossible ones?” Dwalin raised his eyebrows skeptically.
“Yep. The regular ones are kept in Binders marked ‘Algebra’ and ‘Argumentative Writing’. Well those are the best categories anyway, in his room.”
“Algebra?” Thorin laughed.
“Would you look there?” Dwalin smirked.
“It’s not a bad hiding spot but if anyone ever did just pick it up, it’s clearly not algebra.” Nori shrugged.
“No, but still.” Thorin answered Dwalin.
“Has Dori called yet?” Ori asked walking into the room with Bilbo. Thorin sat up as Dwalin dropped his feet off the tables edge.
“No not yet.” Nori answered. Ori’s cheeks tinted pink as he noticed Dwalin wasn’t wearing a shirt anymore; Dwalin saw the slight color change and smiled at Ori who then quickly turned back to his brother.
“So what are we going to tell him?”
“Don’t worry about it, I got it figured out.” Ori gave Nori an exasperated ‘Really’ look. “What? Sorry I ruined your and Dwalin’s little moment.” Nori flipped the contents of the pan.
“Whatever, just as long as it doesn’t have me being attacked by ravenous wolves again.” Ori grumbled turning toward the living room. “I’m going to watch some T.V.”
“Yeah, fine, you ass.” Ori ignored Nori’s remark as he walked into the living room and clicked on the T.V.
“Ravenous wolves?” Bilbo said cocking his head to the left.
“It was funny.” Nori shrugged, pulling down some plates.
“Somehow I doubt that.” Bilbo turned and walked into the living room.
“Explain.” Dwalin said coolly with a matching glare.
“Last time Dori was at one of these things, he called to say he was heading back and I told him that Ori had been attacked by wolves.” Nori shrugged with a smirk. “I swear he teleported back here, frantic.” The phone begins to ring, so Nori turns down the stove heat. “Only to find a perfectly fine Ori sitting in his room doing homework.” Nori flips the stir-fry and walks toward the handset. “Dori wouldn’t let go of him the entire time he was yelling at me.” Nori smirked answering the phone. “Hey Dori.”
Thorin smirked at the tale but stopped as he turned to Dwalin and watched him roll his eyes. “It’s kinda funny.” Thorin said standing.
“It’s stupid.” Dwalin grumbles walking into the living room.
“It’s what he does best.” Thorin chuckles, walking over to Bilbo, who is laying on the loveseat. “Scoot.” Thorin waves his hand at Bilbo who reluctantly shuffles to one side of the loveseat. Thorin drops down and pulls Bilbo over to rest against his shoulder.  Dwalin lifts Ori’s legs and drops down onto the sofa before replacing them across his lap. Ori shifted slightly to curl his legs under himself but Dwalin held them where they were. The four sat in a nervous, companionable silence flipping through the channels until they settled on the horror movie channel. Some made for TV movie was playing and they all laughed at the terrible acting and effects.
Nori finally joined them and hour later with two cups of water in hand and a pill bottle under his arm. He handed Ori and Bilbo each a glass and then shook out two pills for each of them.  “Doctor’s orders.” Nori said walking back into the kitchen, Ori and Bilbo downed the pills without protest. Nori reappeared with plates of stir-fry for everyone and stretched himself out on the floor to catch the end of the movie while he ate.
Half way through the next movie Ori and Bilbo where nodding off. “Dwalin, think you can get him to bed?” Nori asked getting up. Dwalin just nodded ignoring the innuendo. “Good, I’ll take Bilbo and handsy over there for the night.”
Thorin stopped his hand from sliding any farther up Bilbo’s thigh. “For the night?”
“Yep, Dori says we got to watch them through the night, now let’s go handsy.”
“What? Why doesn’t Dwalin need a chaperon? He’s got your baby brother.”
“Cause Dwalin hasn’t been stupid enough to grope Ori for the past half hour in front of me. And I highly doubt he’ll do anything when he knows I could burst through the door at any moment.”
Dwalin looked over at Thorin smugly. “Idiot.” He then gently tugged on Ori’s arms to try and get him off the sofa.  Nori cleared the plates while Dwalin and Thorin began moving Ori and Bilbo about.
“Come on Ori, up ya get.” Dwalin managed to get Ori sitting but just barely.
“No, let me sleep here.” Ori mumbled falling back toward the cushions. Dwalin carefully wrapped his arms around Ori’s torso and began to lift.
“Nope, you’ll be sore enough in the morning already.” Dwalin said soothing but firm.
Ori grumbled but let himself be manhandled, offering absolutely no assistance in the endeavor. Dwalin sighed and glanced over at Nori and Thorin, they weren’t faring any better than he was and there were two of them. Dwalin almost wished he had Bilbo, Bilbo’s small stature and body build made him someone Dwalin could easily throw over his shoulder. Whereas Ori was only a head taller than Bilbo but with a slightly sturdier body build it didn’t seem like much but was just enough to make it difficult and uncomfortable. What with the difficulty Thorin and Nori where having just with Bilbo, Dwalin didn’t think they would ever get Ori up the stairs. Turning back to Ori he tugged the younger boy up to standing and this time Ori just fell against his chest instead of back onto the sofa. With careful, slow steps Dwalin began leading Ori to the stairs.
Thorin was grumbling at Nori who had finally just settled Bilbo on to his back piggy back style. “Well you could have but you didn’t, you just stood there bitching about it.” Nori half whispered over his shoulder at Thorin as he passed Dwalin.
“It was my idea.” Thorin growled quietly.
“Well good for you.” Nori spat out sarcastically.
Dwalin just rolled his eyes as he decided that they had all been friends for too long. They were starting to sound like an old married couple.

P-P-P-Play that shit: ptv analysis - Part 2
Hi what’s up everyone and welcome to this week’s pew news. This is a continuation of my last post where I pretty much summed up Pierce The Veil’s career from the beginning to present and gave an overview of their rise and downfall. You can check it out here, but if you already know about everything or have read it already then feel free to ignore it. In any case, I was originally gonna make these two posts as one but ran out of room bc who the hell would read that much text in a blog post (me) so here you go - part two of this fucking conspiracy theory because I didn’t even get to share any of my thoughts in the last one. (I also forgot to put headers with each new topic smh apologies to the English language)
Edit: it’s been fucking eons since I wrote the last one/started writing this one like legit I even changed my user. The reason why this has been put off for so long will be explained later but yh smh
Gigantic obligatory disclaimer: Everything that I will discuss whether it be in this post or my last, or any future posts that relate to this subject IS NOT going to touch on the subject of the “sexual relations with a minor” incident in itself. I will not go into detail about my own views on this specific matter as there is literally no way to win because whatever I say could be taken out of context by literally anyone. That being said, I do not condone pedophilia, I do not condone sexual harassment or rape, and I do not undermine the importance of consent. I respect the laws of different states, as I know they vary with time and place, and I understand that everyone has their own opinions and I do not wish to impose my own onto others.
In regards to this, however, I do have to acknowledge that I, first and foremost, do not think that Mike Fuentes is innocent, and I strongly believe that how the band handled this situation was just plain terrible, but I do also have to acknowledge the fact that this situation is to stay between the accuser and the victim, as well as their respective legal teams and that I should not go nosedive headfirst into anything like this when it does not directly affect or require my judgement as a necessity, lest I face any legalities or blacklash as a result. Furthermore, everything that I will be talking about are conspiracies only and I do not in any way assume or imply that any of this is true.
In other words, I don’t mean to offend anyone but if you end up getting offended then that’s on you, not me. Let’s begin.
Introduction
The points that I am trying to highlight in this essay post is, in simple words, that Pierce The Veil’s... well, everything, comes off as kind of a conspiracy, almost, to me. I have had these thoughts for a long-ish time, and so this post is basically me finally making a post that covers all things that I have been thinking of in the past. Unlike my previous post, this one is a lot less fact-based and a lot more opinionated, so if you’re not into that, then that’s fair. Otherwise, I will be discussing the following things (in this order): the topic of kellic, Misadventures, and the accusation + response.
When Life Gives You Lemons, You Ship Them Together And Call It Lemonade
I refer to my last post and assume that everyone understands how “kellic” came to be and what it means. To summarise to the bare minimum best of my abilities, it’s the ship name of Vic Fuentes and Kellin Quinn, aka what people call it when someone wants or is keen on the idea of these two frontmen having an affair with each other in a (typically) fictional setting. It happens all the time, especially in this day and age where you can easily just find someone with the same obsession as you with a click of a button. That’s why King For A Day, and inadvertently Collide With The Sky, became such a huge success. It appealed to the right demographic of teenagers and tweens who were ecstatic at the prospect of shipping, and went on to achieve even more impressive feats following that. How you ask? Well, by going on a tour around the world of course. Together. Playing shows every night that ends with one of them literally carrying the other off the stage. Gotta give the people what they want, hey?
I have a strong belief that the key to success is through beating the system at its own game. In this case, the game is simple - get fans, get money. Unfortunately, as we all know, getting fame isn’t as easy as simply earning it through grit and determination. To achieve fame, one must find a way to do something at the right time in the right way so that people will notice. If one person does, and your fire doesn’t die out right away, then you’ve got yourself a forest fire. Then later on, all you gotta do is keep this forrest fire going, but assuming that there isn’t someone standing on the other side with the whole fire department’s resources in tow, then the only thing stopping this fire is itself, because with all things in life, fire dies out, and fame stops accumulating after a while if nothing is done about it. Humans need entertainment. If something starts to fail to pique their interests, then they move on. That’s why YouTubers are required to change up their content every now and again in order to try and relight that spark they once had, and even then there’s a good chance that they won’t.
I was originally going to write another blog essay about this whole YouTube analogy thing but quickly realised that for one, I don’t have time bc I’m getting my ass fucked by university on a daily basis; and that for another, there’s most likely a billion other videos or essays about this topic as is, so I’ll just link one or two of them here. I haven’t watched them all yet or I don’t remember much of them, but all they do is pretty much summarise up stuff like how YouTubers become successful and their downfalls and all that, and even though they kinda focus on a specific person or group of people, I feel like it could be generalised.
Even without the YouTube metaphor, we know shipping works. It is evident in multiple works across various media that giving the fans what they want is often what gives these people their continued success, such as Dan Howell and Phil Lester, who have all but stopped trying to create their own individual branding (save for their separate merch stores that are probably there just to get more people to buy their overpriced clothing), and who at this point have become such an overused example that I actually hesitated writing that. Why do you think movies and shows and cartoons mostly have a romantic subplot? Romance is an essential trope in literature and easily one of the most popular genre out there for various reasons. According to a Bustle article written in 2016, romance often gives the readers a sense of hope or gives them a way to live out their fantasies in the easiest way possible, and while this may not apply to everyone, (personally I’m not a romance fan much at all but I can appreciate good literature), it’s hard to deny the phrase “sex sells”.
Given that, you’d think that any company with half a brain would learn to exploit it, but for some reason this wasn’t the case in Pierce The Veil’s management, and no matter how I look at it, I can’t really see the reason why. It’s not like the band members are uncomfortable with the ship - Jaime Preciado has been seen kissing Vic Fuentes on stage (not on the lips guys chill) (I had forgotten how fucking difficult it takes to find this one specific clip so here’s a couple different fuenciado pictures instead to make up for it smfh), and Vic Fuentes has mentioned kellic in a live stream once jokingly - and Kellin Quinn is notoriously known for being completely okay with it (so long as he doesn’t have to look at it), so just what is the reason?
This Ain’t A Hiatus, It’s A Goddamned Arms Race
I’d be lying if I didn’t miss all the memes that all stemmed from the Pierce The Veil boys not being able to release an album when they’d promised, before postponing said album yet again and disappearing off of the face of the earth digitally for another year or two, giving them a total of four years as their unofficial, unannounced hiatus. For this, I have several questions.
We all know Vic Fuentes loves taking his sweet ass time releasing music - he’s admitted to remaking his first album a second time before releasing it, as stated an interview a couple years back - but you can’t honestly tell me their management just let them get away with it. Sure, through this time they’ve been pushing out new merch to no end, but something tells me that this giant gap they’ve wedged between the new album and Collide With The Sky isn’t gonna be good publicity, despite all the memes that’ve sprouted from it. There’s been fans who stopped taking interest in this band because of it, as well as fans who have just gotten fed up with having to wait so long. They scrapped a whole completed album in the process of creating Misadventures too, and while it’s not uncommon for bands to throw away near-completed ideas at whim, it’s also not unlikely for there to be some external factors or reasoning behind why they did it. Could it be that the album they threw away stayed too close to their roots and management or some other person told the band to start again, so that they can create something more appealing to this day and age? Or could it be something else that is hard to see at face-value?
You’ll Never Get Ahold Of Me Now
Finally, I’m gonna address the overdue elephant in the room. If you want to read the full thing, here it is because I’m tired of having to reiterate what happened. Mike Fuentes received a sexual allegation by some girl(s) and the band released a shitty statement that has since gotten deleted - that’s the general gist of it.
Like I said, it’s been literal months (or weeks idk my perception of time is severely fucked) since I actually started making this post so literally no one cares anymore, but regardless of what past me has promised or written down, I’m not going to be discussing the allegation in itself, but rather what and/or how the band and their subsequent management has handled it, in that they handled it so bad that I honestly can’t believe they did it like that.
Edit: I wasn’t gonna bother finding another copy of the statement bc no one’s gonna give a shit but then I’d be doing some baseless shit and I honestly can’t stand people who half ass these things, despite my growing urge to do the same thing, so here’s the statement.
For starters, who the hell waits one whole month before releasing a statement? From what I can remember, their excuse was allegedly that pretty much management forbade them to talk or make a statement about it earlier for... reasons? (Just realised I don’t actually have the source for this so idk take it with a grain of salt I guess because I was sure I had read this somewhere but I can’t back it up.)
That’s not even the worst part, either. The statement itself gave zero closure to literally everything. Yes, they acknowledged the allegation, but that’s just about as far as they went. The whole point of a statement is to clear things up, whether the accuser was right or wrong, and what steps will be taken from there, whether an apology is to be issued or not. No shit you know about the incident, who in the fandom wouldn’t? Instead pointing out the straight up obvious, what they should’ve done was 1) not waited an entire fucking month before talking about it, most likely hoping the whole thing to blow over by then and 2) actually talked about the incident in their statement instead of tiptoeing around the subject like some sort of time bomb ready to go off. There is no right or wrong answer, because literally all they had to do was tell the truth - as in write down a statement from Mike (not the whole fucking band mind you) about his take on the whole thing or get him to say what had happened from his point of view. Then resolve it privately with your legal team and whatnot if they really feel the need. Hell, all he needed to do was apologise. Whether something like that classifies as assault or rape or whatever is up to you but the fact of the matter is that she’s underaged at that point in time. Even if she was fully aware of the risks and whatnot and gave legitimate consent, under the eyes of the law and pretty much 80% of the people reacting to this incident, it will be deemed illegal and inappropriate behaviour. All these people had to do was literally just be open and honest about it regardless of whatever the hell happened, because this is all happening on a public platform where everyone can see/read it to their hearts’ content. Viewers can’t judge or make a decision to support or not support you if you don’t tell them your side of the story, so for the love of god, why the hell didn’t they?
The statement was filled with bullshit about how they love the fans and all that shit, and honestly my thoughts can be accurately summed up in this video right here. So much backlash could have potentially been avoided had they just told it as it is, because now all we have is a vague ass response that gives no closure and tell us nothing as to whether Mike actually did it or not, because in the statement he manage to spout some bullshit about how he’s “never intentionally manipulated or abused anyone in [his] life” and that he’s just a ball of empathy which at first glance could suggest he at least thinks he’s innocent, but then they go on to say how Mike’s taking a temporary leave from the band for, you guessed it, absolutely no reason. At least, no reason that they’ve given us (what else is new) (I’m becoming more petty as the night drags on it’s literally 1am). Honestly, .@piercetheveil, please tell me why the honest to god fuck did you have him leave just after suggesting that he might be innocent? I know the world isn’t black and white but when you’re making a stance and defending yourself or admitting to something, it really is - black and white that is. Either you’re innocent or believe that you’re innocent and stand your ground by not leaving the band, or you admit that you are guilty, in which case your leaving of the band would actually feel justified, because now it’s like you’re gonna come back as well, so what does that even mean? Mike isn’t gone indefinitely, he hasn’t pleaded guilty or innocent, and now the band is telling us they love us? Fuck out of here with that bullshit.
Yes, I support the band’s decision to pull out of the All Time Low tour and to not have Mike out there in case fans feel threatened or unsafe or whatnot, but if you’re pleading innocent, then honestly the whole band should’ve just said “hey we’re gonna go on hiatus for a while until our legal team’s finished with taking care of everything”, and not just said hey guys we’re gonna kick him out because he may or may not have done something that we’re not gonna tell you because we’re shady fuckers like that. I know they are on hiatus right now, but at the “start”, they only said that Mike would be withdrawing temporarily or whatever so it’s kind of like, okay? Sure? It’s a right mess I assure you. Honestly, throughout this whole incident, it was this statement part that made me really fed up with this band. My interest in them had died down significantly from since I hit fifteen all those three years ago, and right now when I dug up an old iPod shuffle to bring with me to university to save my phone battery throughout the day, I can honestly say that I won’t be adding any Pierce The Veil songs onto it anytime soon unless I get peer pressured to. Personally, I feel like that’s kind of the mentality of a lot of had-been Pierce The Veil fans, too.
That’s Great And All But What’s Your Point?
Pierce The Veil’s management sucks ass.
There’s no easy, lawsuit-prone way for me to say it but, and this is just a conspiracy theory I swear to god if I get the fucking ASIS kicking down my door in the middle of the night you better read the fucking disclaimer, there’s obviously some shady shit going on in there no matter what way you slice it. Either they’re sabotaging Pierce The Veil’s success or whether it’s all some big confusion or misunderstanding, or if they’re just plain dumb, we can all agree that this whole thing - the kellic fan service, album making, allegations and subsequent statements - should’ve and could’ve been handled a hell of a lot more gracefully and professionally. Believe it or not, waiting until things blow over is frankly just childish and solves literally nothing, so either they can pull their act together quickly with this next “special secret” album to redeem what little quality/dignity they have left, or they can just fade away into irrelevancy and become a band that no one cares about anymore.
History repeats itself. This band is quickly becoming just another Leafyishere, and as ominous as that sounds, it’s honestly not unlikely at this point. I am intrigued as to where they go from here, because if they manage to breakthrough again, then I would be very surprised given their current situation. I want to know how they choose to handle this - whether it’ll be the same or not, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Thank you so much if you read through this honestly like I am beyond happy that this is fucking over because I have a bunch of non-band related post essays I’ve been meaning to post but this one’s been nagging at the back of my mind for the past few months or however long it’s been. I’ve clocked in at around past 3k words for this one, and none of this is edited because I’m honestly so done with this you don’t understand. Like I said before, this took ages because I was gonna make another post talking about other shit that relates to this before realising that there’s way too many people that’ve addressed the whole YouTube thing so me doing it would literally be pointless, and even though no one really reads this shit, as big of a nerd as I am, I do enjoy writing bullshit because maybe then I’ll stop ranting to my friends and family about topics they don’t care about.
Regardless, that’s it for this two parter thing, and until next time or whatever.

Keep worrying I’m dying because I’ve finally gotten used to the idea that I whole-heartedly want to live and now I’m terrified that something is going to snatch that away from me.
Keep worrying that something bad will happen to my girlfriend too for the same reasons. Wouldn’t want to be alive without her.
On Tuesday I’m meeting with a therapist at a rape crisis centre to begin proceedings to file a sensitive claim with ACC - i.e. apply for compensation for the abuse I suffered as a child. Terrified that having to talk about this stuff will make me unwell again, guilty that I’m taking up an appointment that could be better used by someone in actual crisis (though therapist used to work there and assures me that I’m not wasting anyone’s time and that they in fact get their funding through their contract with ACC), feel like an impostor because I always think that it wasn’t really that bad and anyway I’m well now so what’s the big deal, but also worried that they’ll also minimise what I went through and make me feel incredibly invalidated and ashamed and send me on a different but no less destructive downward spiral, too scared to hope that something might actually come of it and I’ll get a payout and be able to put money aside to pay for me to do my Masters in Clin Psych in Australia. Just generally terrified but at least my amazing girlfriend had been through the process herself and will be there with me.
Been putting off emailing my soon-to-be Honours supervisor because I’m scared and nervous and very intimidated by him because he is very cool and very smart and I’m worried that I am neither of those things and that I am in fact an impostor and he will see through me straight away and tell me I shouldn’t be in the Honours programme. Also that his area of research is self-injury in adolescents, which is why I asked him to supervise me because I want to work in adolescent mental health, and I’m worried he’s going to take one look at my arms and decide that I’m too fragile or weak-minded to work on self-injury research but I’m sure he won’t because he’s very nice.
Terrified myself into thinking that I should get bariatric surgery because my BMI is fucking 38 and I haven’t lost a gram of weight since I started eating way better and gave up soda and started taking my metformin regularly again and I hate the skin I’m in so much at the moment and cringe every time I catch a glimpse of my reflection anywhere and i just don’t know how to fix this because I eat better and less than many skinny people I know and I hate the way I look so much but it’s also so exhausting to hate myself this much. So instead I smoked some weed and then made some cookies. Baked and baked, if you will.
It’s 1:38am and I never stay up this late these days and I’m trying to get myself to go to bed but I’m in one of those ADHD things where I get Stuck (need to come up with a proper name for it) and have been for the last hour and a half.
I’m watching the latest season of Doctor Who and really enjoying it. I also just finished the most recent season of Travelers and holy shit that show is fantastic. I want to catch up on Wynonna Earp and Westworld and Grey’s Anatomy (shutup it’s my guilty pleasure) before summer is over because god knows I won’t have time to do so when uni starts up again but I also already feel like I’m wasting what little summer we have that I’m not working or the weather isn’t shitty - I haven’t been swimming or to the beach ONCE this summer and it is criminal. Hopefully will be going on Wednesday with M and C but also the weather might suck still.
Also have read quite a bit which has been lovely - Stephen Hawking’s last book, a neuroscience book that was really for laypeople but I still enjoyed it, a Wally Lamb novel, and Wundersmith which is the second part of a fantastic new children’s fantasy series that is tipped to be the next Harry Potter but which I secretly think is better (or at least it makes me feel the way Harry Potter made me feel as a kid, before the disillusionment with JKR and the franchise over the past few years, and that’s pretty magical in itself). Hope I can keep up recreational reading again once the semester commences but I’m not good at doing that when I’m studying and this year is going to be by far my busiest and most challenging.
I think that’s it.
Guess it’s time to go to bed?

Survey #158
nsfw warning, there’s quite a lot of sexual questions in this one.
Where was the very first kiss you had with the last person you kissed? My back porch. Do you have a best friend?  If you don't count Sara, no. As a kid, did you ever get in trouble for drawing on the wall?  No. What are your #1 priorities in life?  My mental health. Have you ever had your mouth washed out with soap as a kid?  Been threatened with it, but no. Do you believe in a lot of conspiracies?  The only one off the top of my head that I believe may have some credence is the "our world is a simulation" theory.  It sounded ridiculous to me before I learned more about it.  If you're into this stuff, I totally recommend reading about it, it truly is interesting.  I lean more towards that it's false, but.  Possible. Being told to eat more is as offensive as being told to eat less?  Hm, not sure.  I guess it depends on the situation the person is in. Have you ever seen a ghost?  I believe so. What emotion are you most likely to hide?  Jealousy. Explain why you last ‘had to lie’.  Because I knew she'd be mad if I told her the truth, she called me out and I sincerely apologized, told her why I lied, and, as expected, was mad about it. (: Feeling guilty about anything?  Not really. Have you ever been through a phase of thinking emo guys were hot?  That phase never ended lmao. How old does someone have to be to be officially an ‘adult’ to you?  18. Anything you find gross that no one else does?  Probably... but nothing's coming to me.  Oh, actually ear gauges. ^ what about attractive?  Well I know some people hate most piercings besides ears. Have you ever dated someone that could play an instrument?  Well Girt played in high school band, but I doubt he still knows how to play. What makes you nervous?  Um everything????? Weirdest picture you’ve ever taken of yourself?  Who the hell even knows, but probably those pictures I took with Summer years back. Any bridges near where you live?  I mean, no *big* ones.  But I mean bridges are everywhere? Do you have a Gameboy?  Yeah, old as fuck. What do you do when you feel alone?  Most likely talk to Sara. Have you ever traveled by train?  No. Do you have a dirty mind?  Not especially. Ever had to have someone help you walk before?  Yes, after I fainted or when I've been very dizzy. Ever been kicked out of anywhere?  No. Do you truly HATE anyone?  Not anyone I personally know, but like rapists, abusive people, etc. Most historical/famous landmark/building you’ve been to in your country?  No clue. How long does it take you to apply your makeup?  It depends on what I'm putting on, but not too long regardless. Favorite flavor for most things?  Strawberry or chocolate, depending on what it is. Do you care what people you don’t know think about you?  Maybe a bit too much. Ever taken pictures in a photobooth? Who with?  Yeah, friends, ex-boyfriend. When was the last time your computer had to be repaired?  Now lol.  I've been using my sis's old one for months. Do you know how to knit? If so, do you do it often?  No. Have you ever flown before? If not, do you ever intend to?  Yesss, learned to love it.  If I have the window seat. How annoying are your neighbors?  The old woman to the left is super nice, according to Mom.  Don't know much about the ones to the right, other than my initial judgment is kinda negative just because of how they kept filthy yard sale shit in the front yard for literally months.  It's probably very shallow to judge over that, but like.  It doesn't make you look very good to keep couches and such sitting out in the elements with the intent for someone to actually buy that. Have you bought anyone their Christmas presents yet?  No. What are three of your favorite songs to sing?  Hmmm, not sure.  Lately I guess "This Is The House That Doubt Built" by AD2R, "High Hopes" by P!ATD, aaaand.  I should know this.  I sing in the car quite a lot lately.  OH maybe "LA Devotee" also by P!ATD, Brendon's just great to sing along with. What is your favorite ride at the fair?  Ahhh ferris wheels.  But I also love carousels my fat ass will still ride them. Would you ever marry someone who was lower class?  I usually delete purely stupid questions, but????  Honestly fuck you if that's a deciding factor???????  Work together to climb out of the lower class, the fuck?????????????? What color is your recliner?  We don't have one. Who do you write letters to the most?  I don't really write letters, but I've sent Sara a few lovey-dovey notes. Who is a singer that has given you chills?  Amy Lee. Do you get carsickness?  No. Which style of wedding dress is your favorite?  BALLGOWN. What’s a good boy’s name that starts with the same letter as yours?  The name that immediately came to mind is Bryson. Name 5 things you don’t believe in.  Horoscopes, soulmates, tarot cards/fortune telling, prayer doing absolutely anything, and the fucking outrageous anti-vaxxers.  A fucking disease that hasn't been seen in forever came back recently because of their bullshit.  Vaccinate your damn kids, for the love of god. If you had all the money you needed and didn’t have to work, what would you do to fill your time?  T R A V E L Do you ever get nervous about where your future is headed or are you just going with the flow?  Both.  Don't know which I lean more towards. Have you ever received a hickey from the last person you kissed?  No. Have you ever held hands with the same sex?  Yes. What is your mom saved as in your phone?  "mama bear." Ever made out in a pool?  Maybe very briefly??  I don't remember. Do you change your phone background a lot?  Nah. Have you ever made someone so mad that they broke something?  No. Do you tend to fall for people who don’t return your feelings? History says not usually. Who is someone you aspire to be like? Does anyone??????  Who reads these?????????  Not know??????????????????????? Do you believe in fate? No.  You make it.  What would honestly be the point of living if fate was true?  You're just walking through a story instead of writing it. Do you believe that humans are inherently good or evil? I lean more towards mostly good, judging by how we have a natural conscience. What turns you on? VERBALLY EXPRESSING YOU LOVE ME, sarcasm wars, "make me"/that kind of shit, playfighting, do not grab my hips or it's over, neck kisses, lip bites. What is your favorite type of foreplay?  Don't play with my boobs or it's also over. Do you believe in the death penalty?  For extreme offenses like rape and murder with no sign of guilt or wanting to heal, fuck yes I do.  I'm not even sure if you should give them a chance at rehabilitation. Do you use sex toys? By yourself or with a partner, or both?  No, but being with a girl now, I would. Have you ever done role-play?  Not irl/sexually because FUCKING AWKWARD, but I'm a serious forum meerkat RPer, in other words it's not a silly/playing around thing, but literally writing a story with others. Favorite sex position? If you’re a virgin, which position interests you? Uhhh no clue of the name, but probably where I'm pretty much sitting on his lap with my legs around him. Favorite dessert?  Hmmmm probably cake. What quote or mantra do you live by? Mark's "life hard, shouldn't you be too?" because it's the best inspirational innuendo I've ever heard. Where is the craziest place you’ve ever done it? Uh I guess the floor, nothing really notable. Do you judge people for what they wear or how they express themselves? It depends.  Definitely not by what they wear.  If how you're expressing yourself is harmful to others, yes, I will judge you. What was the best orgasm you’ve ever had? I've never had one.  I was right on the verge once, but panicked and stopped because I was actually kinda fearful with how extreme it felt.  And my family was home so I was worried about crying out. Do you shave or trim your pubic hair?  Trim a bit, yes, but I don't pay much mind to it. Have you ever/would you ever do anal? Nononono noooot into anything going up my ass. Biggest sexual fantasy?  Don't really have one. What’s more important- length or width?  Why?  I'd imagine length because depth, but I've only done one guy, so I wouldn't really know.  There are so many dirty questions in this one. What are you known for by your friends and family? The meerkat-obsessed, very reclusive and quiet weird one. What is a dish you are dying to try?  Nothing, really. What political affiliation do you associate yourself with?  Independent.  I'm such a mix. What is the worst experience you’ve ever had with food? Diarrhea to the point of blood AT MY GIRLFRIEND'S HOUSE FOR MY FIRST STAY after I tried a way rarer steak than I enjoy.  My stomach is seeeensitive to "different" food. Do you talk dirty during sex? Not very much, I'm shy. My relationship with my siblings: Not real impressive.  I'm not as close as I wish I was to any of them. My relationship with my parents:  Good.  Mom is everything. What I find attractive in girls:  I will find good tattoos attractive on.  Anyone.  ESPECIALLY SLEEVES. Favorite video game series?  Silent Hill. Favorite video game hero?  Spyro.  Duh.  I'm getting a small and adorable tat of him some day. Favorite video game villain?  Pyramid Head, if you consider him a "villain." Favorite video game boss?  Hmmm as far as fighting goes, most likely Avion from SotC.  Phalanx is my favorite in general, but getting on it two-three times is so tedious. Least favorite video game boss? I hate the Cenobia fight also in SotC so much.  Takes forfuckingever to get its armor off, anyone who's played that game knows the amount of flailing/losing your grip is horrendous, and if it knocks you down once you're most likely fucked. Do you like t-shirts with text on them?  Yesyesyes I'm a sucker for geeky graphic tees. Have you ever had foreign candy?  I don't believe so. What’s a candy that you absolutely can’t stand?  Twizzlers. Is there any piece of technology you want to buy?  PS4, drawing tablet, new phone. When is the last time you bled?  Now because being a woman is fun. Would you rather use hand soap or hand sanitizer?  Soap.  Feel cleaner. How many video games do you own?  Lots. Have you ever been to a casino? If so, which one(s)?  No. Have you ever visited a sex shop?  No. Have you ever had a scary encounter with a wild animal?  No. What do you normally do while waiting for your food or drink to arrive?  Talk to those with me. Describe one of your most emotional farewells.  Me and Jason's final talk. How have your tastebuds changed since you were a child?  Used to love peas.  Hated mashed potatoes.  I was crazy about Sprite, now I hate it.  I'm sure there's more. Who was the last person you cried in front of?  Mom. What was the worst mistake of your life?  Letting someone be my whole world. If you were pregnant, would your parents make you keep the baby?  Um, no????  I'm an adult???????  I would only keep it if my life wasn't endangered though.  And even then I wouldn't wanna be and the child would be put up for adoption. Have you ever donated blood?  Yes. Have you ever been to SeaWorld?  As a child, yes.  Would never go again because it's fucking animal cruelty. Do you like avocados?  asdkjfaowj no. Is your Facebook profile private?  Yes. Do you remember your locker combinations from high school?  I didn't have a locker in high school, but middle school, nope. Who were your best friends in high school?  Jason if you count s/os, Hannia, and Girt. Who was your first boyfriend or girlfriend? Aaron was the first with the title. What insects are you afraid of?  Get roaches away from me.  And beetles. Who was your first best friend (apart from a sibling)? Brianna. What was your favorite thing to do at sleepovers when you were younger? Hm, I dunno.  I guess just talk and play together. What time of day were you born?  Noon. Do you think your look better with curly hair or straight hair? Straight. Do you think you look better with bangs or without? Everyone looks better without bangs tbh. Do you think you look better with long hair or short? Short. When you look at your baby pictures, do you recognize yourself?  Not always. What is your favorite thing to do in the pool? Swim around. Cacti or seashells?  Ohhh that's hard.  I think seashells, but if you include all succulents, them. Dreamcatcher or wind chimes? Dreamcatchers. Have you ever taken a picture at the perfect moment? Hmmm maybe? What color(s) eyeshadow do you wear the most? Black is all I wear. Beyonce vs Rihanna? Probably Beyonce?  She has a better voice to me, dunno whose songs I like more. What’s your favorite horror movie? Both of the The Blair Witch Project movies. Would you say you have a high sex drive or not so much?  I'd say it's pretty average.  I've noticed leading up to my period though I'm usually a horny mess. How do you feel about swallowing pills? Doesn't bother me.  I do throw my head back if it's a larger one, though. What animal is the scariest in your opinion?  Hmmm.  Probably the most dangerous animal, surprisingly the hippo.  They charge fast and suddenly and those teeth are fatal.  Now if I saw a hippo and I was far from it, I wouldn't be too concerned because I believe if you keep your distance they're good, I wouldn't be too scared.  Fear on sight though... probably sharks?  Quick and so toothy, plus they might mistake you for prey.  I'm aware how rare shark attacks are, but I still wouldn't be out in the open with one.  Visually scary, giant squids are just a big 'ole nope. A band or an artist you liked when you were younger, but not so much anymore.  Ummm... I dunno.  Probably something pop.  Or country (I know right, surprising). What about favorite person to stalk on Instagram?  Mark, who knew. What’s the cheesiest thing you’ve ever experienced irl? Idk. Something you feared as a kid but don’t anymore? Needles.  The first time I understood I was getting my blood drawn, I deadass bolted, screaming and crying, to hug a pillar thing.  Multiple people had to help Mom to pull me away from it lmao.  Then when it actually happened, I was just asked, "... That's it?" Who was your favorite teacher in high school? Coach Collie. What are five of your favorite stores at the mall?  HotTopic, Spencer's, I would love Victoria's Secret if I wasn't a FAT FUCK, and that's... like it. What is the best gift you have ever given someone?  I'unno. What is the best gift you have ever received?  My dog. Has anyone ever spread lies about you? Jason's ex spread a rumor we had a baby.  Even though it was obvious through all of high school I was never pregnant???? Do you have an alarm system on your house?  No. Who do you tend to get in fights with the most? Mom, as far as people still in my life. Would you prefer a small, intimate wedding proposal, or a big-scale, over-the-top proposal?  The former, definitely. Do you know how to properly eat food with chopsticks? i will say re creative works depicting traumatic events,
i still care way less about that and find it less normalizing than like, the majority of mainstream culture, even when it is more graphic and brutal. even when we speak flippantly and make jokes, to me theres just a big diff knowing (and a feelable diff even when you don't know) that smthg comes from a perspective that comprehends personal and systemic things about it, and i have a lot more trust in the heart and ethics of people in this group, instead of like, where like its normal for guys to talk about seeking out drunk girls or 'jailbait' and shit like that (or need i mention 50sog, or the other tons of ways that assault and harassment are normalized--and btw 1 way they do that is by erasing the traumatic effects of what happened!)
yes it still poses the risks/threats of triggering others though
and im not saying that creeps and predators who feed on that won't still use those works for their own titillation from their own rapist-sympathizing perspective ...
there's also the case of what's considered 'normal' rape fantasy (which is also part of misogyny and rape culture when they say like rape fantasy is common, id believe that but it's not bc there's anything OK about rape it's bc there's a lot of raping and brains are weird and so is society) and it is interesting to me at what point people switch from 'thats so sad' to 'thats so immoral' without the person ever changing where theyre coming from / doing with it...
i guess im saying, there needs to be better ways to connect with people that DO NOT have authority over you (vs professionals, etc) bc come on! i don't even want to admit to not brushing my teeth in therapy. like ive always had 'those feelings' (that are apparently common in csa vvicccttghgjgv ssurvivghg innocent experiencers) and I never felt like it meant i had to be a bad person or was dangerous or out of control but i did figure out that other people might think that. sometimes i could get fixated on some body horror esque shit and draw /write about it but it wasnt on my mind nearly so often. it was cool to be like, ok these are alright people and we have this thing in common and you even can laugh about it! yes!
but making my online life centered on htp/dstp (until it felt like the only reason people even followed me or talked to me and i did not like that) only wore that trauma groove deeper and i do regret it! Mostly for selfish reasons yes bc i think it harmed me more than my participation harmed anyone else but still. I just miss before i went and hammered certain thought - feeling patterns even deeper lol
but the thing is where it says to talk to someone trusted (and this is also a thing it makes sense predators would easily take advantage bc its v isolating to not feel you can talk about such things with anyone), how many people would you really trust to talk about that? wouldn't you feel better talking to other people that you can see have this sort of thing in common with you, and a similar value set, right up front, instead of to someone that might just decide you want to do that stuff to people/think its ok/apply the same lens to irl situations and treat you like a monster?? Unfortunately, there's really no situation where exactly that kind of monster won't take advantage of this kind of isolation and vulnerability.
SO i just wish there was more of an in between! NO i don't want to go to a therapist and be healthy but NO i don't want to make myself worse or potentially contribute to harming others! I want the community aspects of it but not the rest :/
