Also I have a lot of thoughts about the dichotomy of Mother Mary and Mary Magdalene.

At any given time, a Christian woman is supposed to be either a virgin or a mother. Those are the only acceptable states that a woman can be in. If you're not a virgin the expectation is that you are either a mother or trying to become one.

The Virgin Mary is both of these things. She manages to be both virgin and mother, the two holy states of womanhood.

Mary Magdalene is neither.

So is it any surprise that one Mary is on a pedestal almost as a minor deity while the other is forgotten, spat upon, or cautiously disregarded at best?

And what does it say about Jesus that he chose a woman as his closest female companion, a woman who was neither virgin nor mother? Kinda makes me think he didn't feel like women were worthless unless they were in one of those states. And until the day I die it will disgust me that you blatantly ignore the significance of his choice because you cannot stand the notion that Jesus didn't hate women like you do.
