FINALLY SOMEONE ASKS THE REAL QUESTIONS AROUND HERE! Been waitin for this one, have a timeline goin on my phone and everything OKAY SO!-

Creek finds them about 1 month after the first movie (a bit after World Tour starts. keep in mind the Putt Putts were isolated completely so they have no knowledge of the rockpocolypse n all that). Instead of the usual canon ending, Creek actually leads the Bergens to Pop Village as usual and ends up escaping in the chaos of the capturing of Trolls, running into the forest and essentially leaving them all for dead

2. So to answer ur second question with the first, its because Creek HIMSELF believes them to be dead! He assumes he saved only himself by leading Chef to Pop Village, and ends up telling Viva just that, fudging the story a bit to make him look sympathetic and the "only survivor of a tragic capture"

2.5 (To follow that up, he essentially tells Viva he and his village were captured by Bergens (true), but that he was the only one who managed to escape by the skin of his teeth and has been alone ever since. he paints himself as a victim entirely to avoid being denied entry to the village)

3. Here's the thing with the Putt Putts. In my mind, i've always hc'd that everyone HOPED the other Trolls were alive but...that was just hope. Everyone actually BEING alive was a pipe dream in their minds after the cave in. They believe the cave in extended to the entirety of the tunnel, not just their end, so they believe the entire Pop Tribe that were ahead of them are dead. Clay has a sobering realization he was right all along, and Viva is stone cold anger.

Learning her people were still out there, still being hunted, and eaten, it lights a fire in her heart.

This is the spark that begins the Putt Putt's aim for an all out war. So at least for this AU, the Putt Putts always believed the other Trolls were dead from the start.

4. While yes his brothers did leave, Clay had no idea WHERE they left. The only brother he has doubts on if he's dead is John Dory, seeing as he left for the mountains, and even then no one's a perfect survivalist. Who knows if he made it?

In my mind (and canon for this specific AU), the leaving order went JD immediately, then Spruce a few days later, Clay a couple weeks after that, and finally Floyd leaving Baby Branch with Grandma. Having it happen so immediately in the movie doesnt really sit right with me for this situation? So I wanted it spaced out

Clay has no idea where Floyd went. Hes got no clue hes on a "solo career". So he assumes he stayed with Branch and that they're both gone. Along with the unknown place of Spruce and the potential of what the mountains did to JD...

There are five planted flowers behind the Admin Building. One for each of his brothers, and one for his grandmother who he assumes died in the tunnels as well.

5. Honestly? And ur gonna laugh but aside from my general love of dramatic AUs and the idea of Clay being an arsonist making me laugh one night, I got tipped over the edge...CAUSE I FOUND THIS ANIMATIC-

the actual animatic (while being incredible amazing tasty spectacular) didnt inspire me, the SONG did. the idea of Viva singing the first half while her Putt Putts charge into Bergentown-

"I've been so gracious! And yet you hurt the people of mine!

That's right, the Trolls that you made die...were mine."

(with a lil tweaking to make it fit)

While Clay's under the city rigging things up cornered by Poppy and Branch trying to make him stop this and just-

"You are the worst kind of good, 'cause you're not even great." (aimed at Poppy)

"The Queen, who reeks of false righteous, that's who I HATE!"

"Because you fight to save lives, but can't kill, and won't keep us all safe.

I mean, you totally could've avoided all this, had you just ended them...

But no."

"You are far too nice! Mercy has a price!"

LIKE THERES A VIBE HERE (obviously this isn't what'll happen im still ironing out details but this was my inspo :) That and Persona 5 Tactica that game's all about revolution)

I would say, keep in mind, this scenario would take place after finding out that yes the other Trolls are still alive, but now Viva and the Putt Putts are committed to completing with they started for those they lost to Trollstice's before them. They WANT revenge. Why should they have to play nice? Why should THEY forgive the consumption of their people? That kinda vibe :)

AND WHATEVER ELSE U WANNA ASK IS TOTALLY FINE! Send questions as u think of em! :D This AU isn't entirely complete quite yet, so these asks help me really nail down what details I want or at least see things written out and get some good feedback! :D

Day 5: Rabbit, Reclaim

AGJGDFJF FINALLY IT'S DAY 5 SO I CAN POST THIS

For some reason everytime i draw him he looks so young because i'm accidentally overcorrecting since i'm used to drawing older characters. So unfortunately he looks way younger than i meant him to lol, whoops.

But wait there's more- AHAHAHA

While I did initially plan this for GGY week I eventually got the idea to use this as an excuse to draw other GGY designs, soo..

(Not sure why tumblr formatted it that way with 1 of them big but it doesn't matter lol)

I've been wanting to do this for a while, I put the tags of each person next to their design but ofc I'm still gonna tag them in the post itself so you can see their art for yourself if you haven't already. But I enjoyed each of these in their own ways so if you don't mind I think I'm gonna type a bit of text next to them..

@chipistrate This was one of the first I drew out of these, the design was pretty fun to draw but sorry if I messed up a few details, it was a bit difficult lol. The mask and goggles are really fun to draw and they make for a cool design, along with all the glowing blue. (and yes, I tried to subtly include the heelies lol)

@lunzi0 This was the first fursuit one I did lol. I adore the little stars in the design, they personalize it so well and make it really unique. I wanna try this design again since I feel like the other ones show my improvement a bit better, but I hope you can appreciate the effort I put in on my first attempt <3

@carouselrabbit This one was really fun to draw, I absolutely love the eye shape/lashes, it stands out and I always love drawing eyes with a bit of eyeliner lol, the daycare theme legwarmers is a cool nod to the balloon boy arcade machine being connected to them, and was just a fun addition in general lol, I like the style of legwarmers what can I say, fnaf changed my fashion sense a bit. also the subtle paraells to freddy's design is a nice way to connect a bit to gregory himself.

@puhpandas I can't remember if I talked about this design last time I drew it but, overall I'm really happy with how this came out, it's such an indicator of improvement since I started drawing this and I'm glad I was able to draw it better than last time lol. All the patchwork and similarities to Vanny's suit work really well, and the rabbit you chose to base it off of was a good fit, the colors make it a bit more difficult to shade for but i like detail lol, hope you like it too :)

@dykevanny I knew I wanted to do this since I started but I wasn't sure if I'd have time, and I'm glad I did! I hope you don't mind I combined aspects from the first design I saw and the second one you replied to my ask with, I liked the big purple sleeves lol. (I just realized after doing all the shading I forgot to include the oil splatter on his jacket, sorry!) It was definitely a bit difficult due to the head shape being so different but.. fluffy. i love drawing fluff. And the glowing swirl on the goggles, the shape of the ears, I love a lot about this design. :D

I have a hard time with writing compliments but I wanted to get some of those thoughts out, some of the things I like about these designs apply to multiple lol. I adore every one of these designs but I find it hard to put into words what I enjoy about them, hope the original creators are happy with these. <3

I also kept the ggys without as much lighting effects on a separate file, I felt like I should add them since they're a bit brighter lol, makes them look different.

Okay now that I've gotten all that- Sorry this post is so long! I didn't think it'd end up taking up so much space lol. Buut.. working on this drawing and thinking about it and potential context behind it gave me an au idea for it, but I'll put it under the cut since I understand most people probably won't care and just wanna see the drawings lol.

Idk if I'm confident enough to write for it but I'll give a bit of a summary.. I'll keep it under the cut for people who aren't interested and just wanna see the art though lol.

After the main events of SB and Ruin, now that the mimic's been set free, Cassie's taken control of by what's left of Vanny, using her as a new host. But with Cassie being the only human left alive down there, after being reawakened, Dr. Rabbit has nowhere left to go but back to his old host.

Vanessa, Freddy, and Gregory hadn't gone back to the Pizzaplex after ruin, but they were trying to figure out a plan to get Cassie back safely. One night after Freddy and Gregory disappear, Vanessa leaves to go find them. As dangerous as the pizzaplex is, it's her best guess for where they might've gone. She doesn't want to think about what could've happened to them, in denial for the worst case scenario. She tries to keep herself calm by telling herself they probably just left to go back for Cassie, maybe they didn't want her stopping them.. but deep down she knows it can't be that simple. She knows something's off, even if she's not ready to admit it.

When returning to the pizzaplex, she brought along her own V.A.N.N.I. mask, though unlike the one Cassie used, it was clear of the mimic's influence. After all, she was going to need some way to travel through potential blocked routes.

By the time she found Gregory, she'd still been wearing the mask, seeing him down the end of a dark hallway. He looked confused, afraid, his mind was a wreck of conflicting emotions. She started rushing towards him, happy to see him okay, until he finally spoke.

"You need to get out of here."

She stepped back, taking off the mask, only to be faced with the worst case scenario.

It was a wreck, covered in stains and tears, but it was still recognizable. He was wearing that old suit again.

As he waved, she could see Freddy's claws peeking out from the doorway, as the two stepped closer towards her.

So, she did what he told her to do, and started running. She could hear a faint voice coming from the mask, and put it back on before finding somewhere she could hide.

It was his voice again, telling her which way to go.

I guess that was the dramatic way to summarize the main idea behind it, lol. Basically Gregory and Dr. Rabbit work the way Sun and Moon work in Ruin, whichever one is in control in the real world, the other is left behind in the AR world. Or at least that's my interpretation of how they worked, considering Sun was always in mask-on scenes and moon was mask-off. I'm not too sure where the plot might go from there, and maybe I'll consider writing for it, I dunno. I've never wrote fanfic before because I get deadly afraid of writing them out of character lol, but maybe?? I have ideas for scenes and premise and stuff but I don't know if I have the confidence to write it.

But anyway! That was just more of a fun side-idea I came up with while working on this, if you read this far thanks, hope you enjoyed :)

Since everyone is making their own little version of the characters I thought I would join the fun for my Fallen crown Au! These were supposed to be quick little sketches just to get some ideas down but they still took me the whole day:'D will probably change as I draw them but I wanted at least something down on for the time being and I do like how most turned out!

Single versions plus some info and ramblings about each under cut for those interested:

My lamb was mainly based on both, yes the actual player character but also the vibes of my own plathrough which were very "oh god who let this child be in charge?-" while I'll still mostly just call them Lamb I figured they should still have a proper name so I went with my friends @/tamaruaart suggestion as it suits them rather nicely! And most note worthy detail is honestly just the fact that they carry something from each bishops realm on their person now, I like to think they treat those items like little trophies:>

Narinder is probably my weakest I feel like, he definitely needs something to give him some extra "ompf!". I basically made his undertaker fit a sorta reverse or at least loosely inspired by his white robes in game. I imagine he is very boney or a straight up skeleton underneath so he covers it all up beneath heavy fabrics, but because I lack subtly I still covered him in bones regardless-

And yea I kept the veil cause 1. It's a look and 2. It coviently covers up his now sewn shut third eye.

There wasn't much reason behind making him an undertaker, I simply thought it suited him, when your the former god of death you aren't exactly squeamish around corpses. Lastly the dark blues are there to contrast the other followers warm tones, as they kinda seen him as an outcast which is just fine for narinder he isnt exactly thrilled to be here.

I'll put Leshy and Heket together as they were sorta designed as a set.Since they are both youngest among the bishops I sorta latched onto the headcanon that they get along pretty well and just stick together after getting into the cult so they just share a lot of their duties. So I gave them some matching elements like the puffy shorts but also stuff that contrasts like Leshy having looser clothing and Hekets being more tight. Or Heket getting working gloves with a little belt to hold tools plus a hat for the sun, meanwhile Leshy will happily dig through the dirt bare clawed in the sun for hours-

I debated on giving Heket an apron but honestly I think she would only wear one while cooking or tending the farm plots there is no reason for her to wear it casually, the gloves though stay for I reason I utterly love because its PETTY-

Literally the only reason she keeps them on almost constantly is because when the lamb asks she can be like "ew, I'm not touching you with my bare hands." Yes, my humour is broken moving on-

I also gave Leshy a cane just so he actually has something to feel around with when he is areas he isn't too familiar with so he isn't running into crap- on that note, Heket can speak a bit but not exactly loud or for a very long time without seriously hurting her throat, once I properly learn it I definitely wanna draw her using sign language.

Lastly bodies, Leshy was based off a previous drawing I made of him in bishop form, I simply made it less monsterous but he is in charge of chaos so he had to remain a creature- Heket is more straight forward, she is a frog and she is large and in charge.

There was one reason why I made Shamura a tailor and that was the mental image of them sewing the bishops clothes when they were younger and dressing them up all cute.

I went for more pink colors mainly because I thought it better suited the purple and would make their red eyes pop! Honestly I really love their colors they remind me of a Berry! I've drawn shamura before but honestly the only things that stuck were the colors,face and then also the hand markings I did tweak their eyes a bit I wanted something more stern feeling.

For clothing I kept everything nice and loose, while they are the tailor I also love the idea that in their spare time they either teach the youths in the cult or are like the champion of the fighting pit because war is also their domain and they can be- so I wanted them dressed pretty comfy to deal with whatever may come! But still keep everything pretty mature and mildly fancy maybe in the future I'll do some fancy gold and silver embroidery to the pants because of that.

As for body type I wanted them to be pretty thin but unlike Narinder who is twink material under his cloak they have a bit more bulk on top to show that they can choose violence if they so wish-

I adore me some pathetic but still serving men, honestly except for the cross on his belt I completely ignored the fact I made him a medic- If he needs to treat something gross he can throw something over to protect his clothes but just like Heket there is no reason for him to wear that while not working.

Otherwise my main goal was simply to make Kalamar look pretty and fancy. I debated on either short or long bottoms until I realized I'd have to figure out his tentacle situation, then realized I don't hate myself THAT MUCH so bro got put into a floor length gown, work smarter not harder kids.

If I have an excuse to give a character a shawl I will take it so fast.

His body type I mainly wanted to flesh out the roster so I tried making him very squishy and huggable looking, I debated on thinner so he looked more dangly and stretchy but that made him kinda to similar to Narinders build for my liking.

Another year Another summary of Art! An Entire Year of Submas lets gooooooooooo!!!! This year I feel like I really pushed myself when it comes to illustrations and I feel like I've learned a lot! But at the same time I feel a little tired, next year I think I wanna relax and experiment a bit more, I gotta learn to loosen up! Might get more art out if I do :p

I also feel the Submas grip ever so lightly relaxing (unless they decide to do Unova remakes haha XD), so I might introduce some of my numerous ocs in 2024! I'll probably start with the conductor oc ;]

Lunch Break

hoho! This one is the sort of AU thing in which the only thing that changes is that I give Emmet a Victini friend (not a part of his team, I dubbed them the "victory duo" because Emmet likes winning and Victini is the Victory Pokemon), I planned out a few wordless comics regarding the idea, they were all very lighthearted slice of life kind of stuff, usually Victini causing some mischief and the brothers having to deal with it

and here's the thumbnails for this piece! I played around with various angles but decided to keep it simple and choose a straight on angle. It was originally a snack break and Emmet sharing a granola bar with Victini, but as I was planning it, submas unexpectedly showed up in the Pokemon Anime where they were serving ekiben, after learning about it it quickly turned into a lunch break! (how fun when new information lines up with an art piece you are working on hoho! ^ ^) After studying what foods Ekiben usually have in them (there was quite a variety!) I took what I learned and try to make the food look like the gear station logo :D

In the background there are children drawings because in the battle subway one of the trainer classes you can face off against are preschoolers, and I thought at least one of them would share their drawings with the subway bosses (and of course why wouldn't they hang it up?), there is also a trophy in which you can get in the players room if you beat the subway bosses on the super trains (one day, battling competitively is not my forte), I did my best to make Emmet's office feel lived in by adding a little bit of clutter (like adding a note) but overall very organized

(hey hey that joltik mug looks familiar in the corner there, its the same one Rei is holding in the christmas drawing)

Bonus Emmet and Victini Drawings

aw come on dude, not on the trains!

ah this one, it gave me quite a bit of frustration! This piece I used to challenge myself on perspective, and challenge me it did! The version you see now is I believe the 6th iteration of this drawing! The reason for restarting so many times is because I originally wanted it to be in 3 point perspective, but I couldn't get it to look right so its now in 2 point... Haha Some valuable lessons learned there!

This illustration was inspired by the history of New York Subway Trains and Graffiti! I read about it when I got to visit the New York Transit Museum and found it super interesting!! Then I went I gotta do something with this! Since Unova is based in New York after all!

I got so many subway surfer comments, they don’t know I forgot subway surfers existed while making this and that I am a huge nerd lmao

I had a lot of fun designing the graffiti on the train (yes it says among us) stylizing the fictional letters was so fun! I studied some graffiti to see how they do it, I could've pushed the graffiti style more but then it would be illegible! I also mixed in elements of Grafaiai graffiti, and trainer that is running away is the artist trainer class in SCVL because they are graffiti artists! And the train that got graffitied is the Wifi Train, due to BW (and the DS) servers being shut down, I doubt that train gets used much anymore, which makes it a perfect target!

Derailed!

hohoho! This was a fun one! I'm not sure how many of you guys read my tags, but in there I did state that this piece was based off the fact that model trains are powered by electrifying the rail it runs on (very low watts mind you) and the fact that Joltik eats electricity, but thats not the only inspiration, it was also inspired by those videos of cats laying on the layout and derailing the train!

Theres quite a variety of thumbnails for this idea (including a comic!), and the idea was there in 2022, but this year I decided to fully commit to it! I started rendering the top right one and almost finished it, but it felt really boring to me, so I switched it up and made some thumbnails in a new perspective and viola! thats what ended up being finished!

The train that is being derailed are Sanriku Railway Type 36s, based off a model train I have in my collection! (While sharing this fact on the original post Haiku Bot detected it as a Haiku?! and this art went out of my target audience, that certainly was a day (⊙□⊙;))

Also I straight up put a picture of Thomas the Tank Engine in the background, I'm not sure if people noticed cuz its quite blurry, the fact that nobody said anything means I probably would’ve gotten away with it before sharing this fact, so hehe :3c

Unexplained Melancholy

eyy! this one! It started out wholly different

It was originally me dropping Warden Ingo in various natural landscapes around Hisui as I didn't feel like drawing anymore linear perspective (ah, but heres the thing, all environments require a little bit of perspective lol), and it was just going to be Warden Ingo hanging out in a lush forest, specifically by the train rock that was shown in his concept art! but after sitting on it, I realized I could do something more with it! by making it a snowy environment I could make callbacks to Emmet's coat being white! hence the "SNOWY!!!" being scribbled there, that was added like weeks afterwards, Then I realized I could push it even more by making the whole environment about Emmet's colors! So the new thumbnail is in color because thats whats its about!

The moon smile thing was stumbled on by complete accident, while working on it it felt empty there and I added Emmet's smile to fill the space before going "moon!!!"

The piece is also a sort of a parallel to last years piece “I am Emmet, I wish for Ingo and I to be a two-car train once more” composition wise, sort of, I tried to at least 👍

Black Tower and Whitetree Hollow

Ah! I was quite proud of this one! Black City and White Forest are some of my favorite places in Unova mainly because the parallels are so very cool!

As the thumbnails suggest it was all going to be in complete black and white, as I was working on it though I could not help but add some values in there so yup! I quite like both compositions but the perspective won me out, plus that one focuses more on the characters than the other one (as much as I love backgrounds, it really is supposed to be about Emmet and Ingo U_U)

Being places of duality and having a battle challenge in there, it really fit them!

Emmet drops the hottest single of all time 🔥🔥🔥

Not really much to say about this one since it was very much done on a whim, but

its not the first time I drew Emmet with his hat backwards, I did this little doodle around the same time I did the train graffiti piece, been wanting to do something with this silly idea, and when I heard that audio, I went :o

Following Some Rumors of a Time Machine

the finale! I decided to choose Area Zero because its a very cool place! I am inspired by cool places! and I decided to give it my all for this one!

The thumbnail I made was more for jotting down the idea, and the landscape was going to be more eyelevel? Later I decided to make it so you were looking down into the crater and you get to see the fog blocking the crystal caverns, to show that Emmet was going deeper into Area Zero and the Deepest part is his destination (the time machine, not the underdepths, I didn't know about that yet haha!) I was always going to make Emmet encounter a Slither Wing, with it being based off Volcarona, a gen 5 pokemon :]

Thanks for everything (also I suck with words so just try to follow this ok?)

uh so, as I said I suck with words. Infact, most of the time I communicate better through drawings, kin characters, qoutes, and music. But I relize those could be interpreted in any way so I'm going to try to put this into words.

if you wanna just skip the backstory and get straight to the thanks then go below the cut off!

For a long time I've been told I'm not trying hard enough. That I "don't apply myself" that I "just don't try to connect with others" and that most importantly, "Nothing is wrong with me cognitively, I'm just to lazy to try to succeed."

I have since been diagnosed with a number things, some more notable ones being autism and ADHD.

I always felt like those things never ment anything since for awhile I didn't get accommodations. Instead I just had more reasons people didn't want to be around me.

I discovered this fandom the year before tspud released so stuff related to this game was few and far between. But this game was always a safe space for me. A safe space I got shamed out of liking because it was too silly and childish, or in the words of my parents "all you do in this game is die over and over!" And "What's the point if it just makes fun of you for playing the game?"

This was what I had though in a time where I didn't have much else. I was being bullied, I was getting sexually harassed, and then my best friend left me for not being cool enough for her. Tbh I hated myself because all I would get in response was the same thing, that I "just don't try to connect with others." That "everyone was really nice, you just have to give them a chance."

I was alone, and no one was listening when I would talk about how I was struggling. The most I got was the guy who sexually harassed me got suspended for 1 DAY.

Fun fact, I once reached out to one of the devs of tsp, and they mocked my username and sent me a gif telling me that "I'm a nerd, leave me alone." So you could imagine how hard it was for me to reach out to artists I admire...

But I did, and now I literally cannot go a day without checking Tumblr at least once. Not only that but I feel validated by you guys. I feel inspired to start doing things I haven't done in a long time!

been meaning to tell you how much I genuinely love your takes, designs, and overall everything relating to the LMK series,JTTW and other related topics and shows. I'll be honest as much as I love the goofiness and silliness of the fandom, as much as I love reading the ship stuff. it's nice to also look at and indulge in content that sticks more to the original lore and focuses less on romantic relationships. not many people especially in the fandom do that so it's very grounding for me if that makes sense the shipping is fun but I have other interests, I wanna see different takes for the same character ya know? broaden my understanding of them, their thoughts, and their actions. I want a diverse list of hcs that may apply universally or be dependent on whatever personal AU is playing on repeat in my skull while I pace around my room maladaptive daydreaming with a fitting Spotify playlist.

I hope you're getting some decent downtime and your health doesn't take a nosedive again. As soon as things calm down money-wise, I hope to send something other than emotional support for your work. not expecting an answer to this I just wanted to express my thoughts and thanks for the times your posts and art made my days a little less shit this year and send positive vibes back.

I actually got a physical copy of Journey to the West from a friend of mine as a christmas gift and I’ll be rereading it during a small one-week hiatus (for the sake of my health and for the sake of my mental exhaustion, LMK is good but it sucks to have no one to talk to about it because of holidays) and I remember thinking at some point if I was being too.. edgy? Or too emotionally damaging in my content

I say this and I know JTTW has moments that are traumatizingly horrifying such as SWK crying when smoke got in his eyes and reliving trauma from the furnace he was locked into for days. But, still, the fandom is so goofy and silly and has.. some takes. And I thought people wouldn’t like my content because of how different it was.

Anyways I based his design straight up off of the policeman design in the gen 5 games for that reason, I like to think he has a past as a spy just like- well branching off to Pokéspe rn but in the manga the character Black two whatever the fuck his name is again is a kid slash teen spy police thing whatever I haven't read ts in awhile and I think that would have been Tom ! He would have been a teen spy slash policeman for the international police but like he experienced some. Things again. As seen by me keeping his scars and now as an adult I feel he is a cop in unova now... as for town slash city ? I don't fucking know yet like either castelia or nimbasa...

And I think he should have ONE partner that he's been through everything with but I can't decide whether it'd be Sawk, Machamp, or Scrafty yall can pick sishdbf I just think he needs a fighting type esp bc it's known as a hero type and police class uses fighting type

I do not know what region he'd be from being honest. The simplest would be unova, but I kind of lean towards a region from gen 4 bc of his teen design inspo being the psychic class trainers from gen 4... so either johto or sinnoh... not really sure

But anyways he used to be a psychic type trainer and extremely powerful with his psychic abilities in the sense that his emotions could destroy shit like think of Sabrina and caitlin how Sabrina has power limiters on and caitlin used to throw bitch fits when she'd lose a battle and I think that's Jake... he prolly sucked ass and was a disappointment to his parents or dad and would have meltdowns and break shit w his powers when upset #his telekinetis throws everything across the room moment

Anyways I think as an adult he'd grow to be able to control himself better at least no more psychic tantrums but still good ol being pissed off !! I think he'd switch to be a fairy type trainer and has remnants of his psychic past in his team slash design... I think he's a gym leader or maybe I could be nice and make him a frontier brain... but for now I see him as a fairy type gym leader with a clefable and mimikyu on his team and potentially hatterene grimmsnarl ?? I still have to decide on that

I like his design being more showy, I mean he was posing that one ep talkn abt model and I like to think he's canonically good looking Plus Paldean gym leaders have professions and so do unova ones etc.. I think he's a model in this world too or some kind of musician... not sure.. he just has the right to be extra... he's the most darkest fairy type trainer bc of his design.. probably implies his ace is grimmsnarl or mimikyu something of the sort...

Tomjake ? Girl they are wared up... as in I think Tom still avoids him and I'll wait to see if they kiss and make up based on what happens in dcas... but fighting type ? What's it weak against... ? Oh right. #violence

Also I think Miriam has or had an alcremie or smth or a fidough... just power... maybe Jake could gift her a fidough... I think Miriam is a powerful trainer in her own right perhaps a retired gym leader ? Gave her position to Jake ? Maybeeee...

Old Stuff of the Small Connections AU Here are some outdated drawings I did for this AU that I particularly like, some parts are still canon to the story or designs, I'll label what is canon or not. Hope you guys like it! Binni, Billy, Bat, Bear, and Badger are owned by me. PPG and RRB are owned by: Craig McCracken Clover, Mallow, Shallot and Kale are owned by: Sayuri Tatsuyama

NOTE: Badger's design is outdated on this one, the new one is on my Rowdyrocks post. The PPG and RRB actually has new designs, but I have not yet post them yet. The only canon design so far is Bear but there might be a few tweaks in the future.

NOTE: The designs are outdated and probably interactions too, the boys and girls would not be in the same room together for one sec (apart from the blues) I still love the drawing none the less. Though if they wanna celebrate Christmas with their younger sister together they probably would tolerate it ig.

NOTE: Easter drawing! I made this for fun when easter hit back then, Bunny and Bat are not there because this was either before I decide to add them in, or it was when the story was Binni came first then the purples. I changed the story now to where the purples came first than Binni. Though Bunny is referenced by the bunny that Boomer is holding. The 4 other bunnies is a reference to a manga (they also have an anime apparently) called "Happy Happy Clover". Once again, outdated designs, will post the new designs for the PPG and RRB at some point.

Lore time! Hey! I'm Squidly! I'm an Inkling! Which, if you don't somehow know what that is, I'm a cross between a humanoid being and squid! My homeland is in Inkopolis! But as I got older I decided to go on my own adventure! On my journey, I came across what looked to be a digital pen and drawing pad, But turns out...You could create a whole UNIVERSE with it! and I thought to myself..."Hmmm...I've always wanted to be a person who would look after my loved ones and friends...and I COULD make my OCs become a reality!" and so I did, I created what I called "Begalinių galimybių pasaulis" which means "World of infinite possibilities" But I just shorten it to "Pasaulis" for easiness....But...As time went on...I noticed things changing about me physically...My hair...It was lush, full, wavy...normal hair, and I could no longer transform into my squid form...I panicked, So I quickly traveled back Inkopolis, But before I noticed it....Once I got back, My body was back to the way it was...So I just assumed it was me adapting...I eventually found social media! You're all quite nice! funny, weird...kinda cringe...and sometimes just downright bone chilling...But I'll manage! I am now very much interested in this au O_O

I'm gonna assume you're referring to the CTYH swap au comic +doodles I've made (designs- especially the knights, belong to @/afrothunderxx96 !)

I'll admit, I've been rotating this au around my head for awhile because of the several possibilities. One being Blixer being a Guardian in a garden-esque temple with lots if plants and overgrowth, a nod to his minions who were originally just flowers in the garden back when it still had its native occupants but due to migration, the artifact gave life to the flowers and they became sole worshippers who tend the temple.

When Blixer was born, he was obviously clueless. But soon became the out going guardian who parties with the garden, though he does have his personal struggles such as his own identity and self worth. He associates all of his worth with the artifact due to him being connected to it, convinced that the reason the garden loves him is because he's just an extension of the artifact.

Lycan, also a blue flower but much more of a leader and smarter compared to the rest, attempts to convince Blixer that he is worthy for being him but Blixer has a hard time believing it.

I imagine Corrupted Cube here is someone who grew up in rough conditions and had to build herself up by being strong and scary, intimidating anyone who comes near her because it's a survival mechanism. Due to her entire childhood revolving around it, she genuinely has a hard time reacting to sheer kindness in a proper manner. She assumes it's a trap qnd she lashes out. In short, being nice to her is something she's not used to.

For the Knights, there's a lot to unpack but a majority in means of design and visual characterizations are already done by Afro in her tumblr blog. She made concepts and even their Corrupted TIO form which made me kick my feet and giggle!!!! I love the design so much.

I imagine that the four knights gain the artifact but the artifact ended up remaining the four due to them combining their powers together to access its theorized abilities, leading to the artifact chaining up the four and thus creating the Unnamed One. (Oooh boss battle)

I'm unsure exactly how Cuda, Macabre, The Grey Twins, and etc (rest of the ctyh cast) would be in this AU. Not sure if I wanna pitch in onto that, really, I'd like to wait and see!

He's on very close terms with a lot of people in the neighbourhood, has loads of friends and overall; NOT popular, but just very tolerable and nice to call a friend

His obsession with the neighbour's kid was very unknown and very sudden, so even though his parents see it as just like innocent and adorable little fascination/idolization at the moment; It might start seeming weird if he were to still act like this in his adult years

Goes to a local cooking club with his friends and other locals where they would bake all kinds of sweet treats, pastries and so on; He tends to go for an hour or two after school unless he were to be sick; It's something he enjoys and thinks about opening up a bakery one day

He's very sensitive, so he will cry if someone raises their voice at him, it was only once in school but he got yelled at by a teacher for yelling too loud because of asshole older kids influencing him; Not to worry though, the kids got their fill after the teacher hears him out

Arts and crafts are his favourite, and the guy he likes also loves music; So he would enjoy working on covers and such to advertise one day. He only dreams in the meantime as the neighbour's son doesn't seem to wanna take it up as a profession yet

Very much an attention seeker and loves getting all the attention from others, especially when it's from what he's made or baked by the other adults, even better when they either hang up the things he's crafted or tried AND enjoyed the baked goods he makes; Which is to be expected because A) His baking experience is not to be underestimated, and B) He takes massive pride in the things he does and manages to accomplish

Has quite the sweet tooth, so of course him enjoy baking will be something he does quite a lot

Really You can do like whatever with my art, like everything, I don't care, I would actually enjoy seeing people get inspierd by my work, just credit it if You do is es simple as that. Thou I won't execute it, I'l just leave it up to your morality.

Inside blog stuff, tags & AU!

(it's mostly the same thing I started here: @frogcatwcbiologyrewrite but I hope that this time I'd menage to do more ;)

If u have notised that my cats are a bit off or uncanon it's 'couse I have created a AU. It's called:

'I took cats from UK to US and called it a day'AU!

(very creative title I know, maby I chane it later)

So, well as the name suggests one of the main things I have cheanged in this rewrite is the fact that unlike in canon my cats does not live in the UK but roughly in southern Oregon and northern California. (thou I have never been ther nor I have ever been to the USA, the flora and fauna info I take from the internet) the territories may be inconsistent with where i set them buuut I just really wanna them to have all thouse wild west plants, animals and the advantages of this countrys wastnes. In my opinion it would really add to the story a lot and make it better :D (at least for me)

Other main changes I made (I will add them here as I come up with new ones):

The Tribe of the Rushing Water now have FIRE! (and thanks to this ability to make some basic tools)

I have the full lore of how they get the fire as well as varius cultural aspects already created, I will post them somday propably, just need sometime to polish it and to draw it (+ more self esteem to post it XD) ps. I'm a fan of the Tribe :D

This is going to be a bit of a repost of a thread I made on Twitter. lol

Yeah, okay, so… Here's Momo 🤍

Here's an impromptu (slightly outdated) post about why I spent a long time thinking about her back when I first made her. :o)

These two were more like beta versions of what I was going for before I made my logic and emotions personifications.

They are personifications of how I tend to see my Logic and Emotions. The Yin and Yang of my mental journey of being a complicated human being that's working through what I can.

I think because of my fondness for them, my subconscious wanted to still do something with the concept as a whole. That's where this version of my logic came into frame.

It was a vent that got the ball rolling for this thought process for sure. I'm really glad for it too. :o)

I guess as time went on, I noticed that I had a better time drawing with more cutesy designs. I felt E and L (the beta versions) weren't the full grasp of how I'd see my brain people. As that thought rolled, I actually had the feeling that something was missing..

And then I had this thought.

I've always had a hard time with expressing things. I have a history of people calling me overbearing or coming off too strong when I honestly thought I was just being nice. I guess I had a gremlin energy I hadn't known about.

Enter Momo.

So, with all of that coming to mind, my brain transformed E the hypersensitive cyclops to the mischievous, overtly "passionate" Momo. As well as the serious and collected L to the super introverted and curious Lala.

Yeah, they felt cool to me. Oh, and about that dominate stance that Momo's demonstrating here...

May it be strong emotions or just because she thinks it'll spook others, she's all about the different forms and shapes she can make. The only reason she's capable of this is because her sacrificing an eye to have a mouth. Lala was against this for obvious reasons, but Momo wanted to feel the words she had instead of thinking. She wanted to scream and laugh and more physically. However, their forms were only meant to have eyes and talk telepathically. The loss of an eye started corrupting her body and well..

She turned into the character she is today. The black parts that shift and change around on her body are Lala's pieces she put into Momo to keep her together. So far, she's okay. Lala hopes it doesn't get worse and painful, but as Momo likes to say "No pain, no gain."

And that's the gist of it! lol Thank you for reading this far! I had a lot of fun with this and I wanna draw Momo and Lala more as time goes on :o) I'm still thinking about them as time goes and I want to do more, but I'll see what the future holds lol Thank you again!

The gold accessories were created by Lala to make sure she had a handle on Momo. If the accessories were to ever be badly damaged or break, Momo would wreck absolute havoc with reckless abandon. The triangle motif was cute "friendship bands" trope.

I've officially started calling this the "not a sir au" so feel free to block if you don't give a shit and don't wanna see it lmao

Might fuck around this week and redraw in the newer style with and without the giant hoodie lol

Seriously considering keeping the wings cause that and blue hair is my only out of reality indulgence (the design is otherwise pretty true to life honestly) and I just wanna curl up in the fluffy wings and nap all day ngl

That and I like the idea of reinforced personal space alongside opportunities to express with them

It was, like always, an accident.

Captain tried to scamper away--the coward--and somehow broke a floorboard, taking the shirtless guy with him. Wherein they fell down into a storage area with something that didn't agree with a sudden spark.

Completely blowing a fucking hole into the side of the ship just a bit above the waterline. In front of God and everyone.

Nikia screeched, running to the broken floor boards before turning on her heel and dashing under the deck to see the damage.

The shirtless guy was covered in soot and carrying her captain over his shoulders with a distinctly sheepish expression down the hallway. The open door to a storage room hanging open to a view of the open water.

"Holy shit are y'all alright?!?" Nikia panted, face flush as her hands shook.

Shirtless guy grimaced.

"Yeah, we're uh, we're fine, sir. Your captain is just out cold." He shifted his shoulder to bounce her Captain's prone body in demonstration.

"Well... That's good..." She mumbled, face twisting at the ominous sight of waves lapping at the edge of the hole. He looked over his shoulder and winced.

"Oh! Right. Sorry about that. I-I'll get some of the guys to patch it up until you can get to a port and dry dock. No idea how bad the damage actually is."

Nikia grimaced. He was right. There wasn't any telling right now how bad the damage was unless they could examine the hull properly. And just slapping some boards in place wasn't going to be good enough. One rough storm could break the ship for good without proper repair.

"Ah appreciate it... Weren't y'all just fighting us though?" Nikia couldn't help but ask. He laughed.

"Oh yeah! Well, offer still stands." He shrugged.

"You got the authority ta make that kinda offer?" Nikia asked. "Ah'm sure yer captain is nice and all but my boys still fired first. Ain't that rude for pirates or something?" She said, leading the way back up top.

He grinned, a wide beaming smile as he chuckled.

"Yeah, it's not like anyone got hurt... Well, until that. Besides, my crew was getting bored--"

"Ace! Uh--Sir! There you are! I was worried Namur would have to fish you out of the sea!" The man with a pompadour paused just halfway down the stairs, sunlight turning his oak brown hair gold. Nikia looked away, a bit embarrassed that his pretty smile made her feel flustered. 'Ace' was really pretty too, but the soot made him look more like trouble than 'too pretty to talk to'. Although she hadn't been looking at his face much despite this.

"Well as you can see, I'm fine! I was just telling Sir that we can patch up the hole until they can get it repaired." Ace smiled, freckles shifting under the grime in a way that made her snort while looking away. "Oyaji won't mind, right Thatch?"

'Thatch' grinned from the corner of her eye.

"Oh, he definitely won't mind at all! He's taken an interest in your crew after all." Nikia huffed.

"Their stupidity certainly is somethin' to marvel at." She grumbled, stuffing her hands in her hoodie as she stepped lightly up the stairs. "Ah, beans. Forgot the food. EH! GET YA FOOD, DUMBASSES." Nikia called out before turning on her heel and sliding past the two men to get back to the kitchen.

No point in wasting any of it. Though she didn't expect Ace and Thatch to follow just ahead of her goofy ass crew.

Out of politeness, she let them and anyone else that came down serve themselves from what she'd made. At some point the captain rolled awake and got some food while sulking under her glare.

There certainly wouldn't be any leftovers tonight.

Thatch watched as he ate a rather flavorful potato soup with diced veggies and fish--sea king from the taste of it.

Sir, the chef, ate a slightly different meal. Baked potatoes and greens. No fish in sight. Thatch wanted to ask but the young man made a point to seat himself at the counter with no chair nearby, wings curled around him like a shield from any unwanted interaction. Which was apparently any at all.

There was a soft snort at his side as the captain of this ship settled into place. He was a bit charred and bruised but otherwise in fine spirit, a fresh, unlit cigarette between his lips.

"Ah, you look like a man that wants to talk to our little Sir. Good taste--but good luck with that. He's a bit.. " the man made a sort of awkward spinning gesture with his wrists as he struggled to find the word.

"Introverted?"

"Distant?"

"Intimidating?" Several of the crew piped up quietly with fond smiles.

The large man that had told Sir about what Thatch's crew was doing in their ship shrugged.

"He prefers smaller, familiar company. But he won't turn you away if you ask him something. He's actually quite sweet when you get to know him... Until you mess up." He grimaced.

Yeah... Thatch saw that much.

Resolute, Thatch stood up and started to make his way over only for the young man in question to swiftly finish his meal and take the dishes into the kitchen without even looking back.

Somehow, Thatch felt like Sir knew that he was coming over to talk...

Luckily, he had plenty of opportunities to talk to Sir. After all, Oyaji considered it a matter of honor to house the smaller crew and escort their damaged ship to a competent ship yard for repairs.

It was partially Ace's fault their ship was damaged.

"Gura-hahaha!" Oyaji laughed with a wide grin. "My sons won't mind a few new bunkmates while we take your ship to get repairs. Marco, my first mate, can handle the particulars." Thatch perked up and looked at Marco, subtly gesturing to Sir with a pleading smile. Marco arched a brow in confusion.

"Well, Boro, looks like I'll be bunking with you again." Sir huffed, brushing a wing across the large man's back as he laughed.

"I doubt they're that pressed for space like we were, Sir." Boro laughed.

Thatch mouthed a plea and Marco rolled his eyes.

"As a cook, I suppose you could bunk with Thatch's division." Marco declared with a smile.

"Absolutely not. I'm not a cook for starters." Sir denied. Thatch looked at him in confusion.

"But didn't you cook the food?"

Sir didn't look at Thatch as he responded, his eyes fixed on a far wall as his expression remained sort of annoyed.

"I follow a cook book. That hardly makes me a cook. At best, I reluctantly made food. And that's just cause it was getting depressing seeing them eat raw potatoes and greens cause it was the only thing they didn't burn."

There was a round of awkward and embarrassed shuffling. Boro chuckled with a sheepish grin.

"Sir is the only one that can read our last chef's handwriting so..." He shrugged.

"Look, I don't care where I sleep but if y'all are expecting me to know Jack about shit in the kitchen yer gonna be disappointed." Sir grumbled, his wings puffy and curled forward around his shoulders.

Marco gave Thatch a questioning look but he just grinned back.

He hadn't changed his mind in the least.

Hey there

I only found this blog recently and I love it, the story line and the artwork along with it, it's a shame you had to discontinue the comic because I enjoyed it.

There are not many JSAB blogs that I like I'll say, but there's been a decrease in them as the hype went away, I found this in my recommended section after I was going through some hard times myself.

After Afrothunder left the community to fix her mental health problems (she was quite the inspiration and helped me through my darkest hours at one point) there wasn't anything left here in this community a side from a couple of blogs here and there I wanted to start my own blog.

But I ran into a major downfall almost immediately, how do you get people to look at your stuff, I know there are a lot of blogs that don't get noticed and run down to nothing but how did you do it or when did people start noticing your work?

I'm not asking for the sake of followers but for other people who are scared to ask this or have a blog of their own like me.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it!

I'm still making JSaB art and I've started making a new JSaB AU centered comic (working on chapter 2 atm. 10 pages, fully colored, background + 6 characters) if that's something you wanna see (on my artblog, @zimcard-artblog ) . I haven't made some crisis-au stuff in awhile due to being busy but I'll get back to sharing more lore and other stuff like short comics and whatnot.

Also, yeah, JSaB has been up for awhile. 2 years or so? Man, back in the early days, there were so many early starting comics that were amazing. I honestly miss it back then and wished I was more active like I am right now. Ya' know, the community is still kicking- especially in different social media platforms from my knowledge. I, personally, do NOT suggest Amino. Safe yourself the trouble and back away from it.

Oh! Afrothunder is back from my knowledge but she is doing it in her own pace for the sake of her mental health, it's a genuine shame to hear how someone so talented and kind is being treated so poorly by a bunch of impatient, immature, and even heartless people over her work. This has happened to a lot of people who make popular comics online, often on their own pace, which they tend to run into a bunch of people who are very disrespectful of their personal lives. I've talked to Afrothunder Waaaaaaay back, made an ask collab once with her regarding Blixer and Cyan in this blog. We don't talk now but I like to think of her as an old friend because she was super nice and welcoming back then when we first started talking on the server, it was super neat. Wishing her the best and hope she's doing well right now <:]

> How did you do it or When did people start noticing your blog?

I think it's a matter of getting recognized enough so you can promote any projects you're working on. I started drawing fanart for JSaB the moment I finished watching the playthroughs, it eventually garnered an audience who are into the same media I was in which I gained new followers.

So, basically; get recognized. Tagging your stuff of said media you're basing your post about makes it easier for people to find it. Share some art, doodles, concepts, whatever you have and what you want to share with the people. Eventually you'll notice the numbers rising.

It usually went on like that for me until I end up having an idea- like, "Oh, I have an AU! I wanna share that AU and make a comic out of it!" And so I started sharing small concepts regarding the AU.

Sketches, doodles, designs, short comics, and explanations. It was like an early beta of the project I was working on and when it got enough people interested; That's when you kickstart the final piece that goes "Hey, I made a comic! Check it out!"

If you're doing it on tumblr, really advise to make another blog as a sort of archive for said comic because it makes it easier for people to find the comic and read back to it whenever they want to. Accessibility is key.

This actually applies for making askblogs as well or any sort of extra blog for something specific.

Then, with all of that, you go on your own pace. It's a hard start but you'll be able to go with your own flow, take your time, and remember to prioritize YOURSELF first before other things. If you receive any sort of hate or just weird messages, just delete them on the spot because you are responsible for your own inbox.
