remember during vox machina days when they would have ashley skype in for the sessions and the feed would lag and freeze and crash and even when it was working it was just her tiny blurry face on a laptop screen on the table trying her absolute best to be engaged and present for the story despite the distance. and now she gets to be there :’) everyday :’) with her friends :’’’’’’’’)

I have this lil brain worm that tells me a scenario which makes me sad. Imagine Lear or Nona joining the Astral Express crew when they come to Eris, just so they could perhaps find N Darling somewhere in the universe.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA it hurts...
i'm having difficulty making up my mind on lear and nona's fates. the two possibilities i've considered the most are:
a. them tagging along with the astral express crew as you mentioned,
b. them choosing to stay behind on eris to take care of the planet n darling's given so much for.
thematically, b would make more sense, but. they would be happier on the astral express 😭😭 the process of exploring other worlds and the hope they might encounter n darling would uplift their spirits in a way staring on eris couldn't. especially for lear. nona, while angry and frustrated, can at least remember a time where n darling wasn't in her life. it hurts, but grief wouldn't immobilize her. lear, on the other hand, doesn't know what life without n darling is. he'd withdrawal within himself and never fully be the same.
having the astral express family around would be a lot better for him in the long-term. it's what n darling would want too, actually. blade would undoubtedly find out about this and keep the information to himself. dan heng and lear in the same place.......................... it makes his mara writhe just thinking about it.
okay well now i'm starting to prefer option a, who cares about themes anyway .

There's a prolonged hug as they met in the middle of the hall, eyes closed as he was finally engulfed in Laxus' warmth again. They were both more than capable wizards but there was no way in hell and heaven that he would be able to not worry about all the perils their profession brought along with it when they were away for a long time, on separate jobs, or one of them waiting for the other at home. Not when he loved him that much. And he didn't care how long the embrace lasted, for all he cared he'd stand here forever like this or make out with his husband right here and now with everybody watching. He didn't care. They were both safe, that's all that matters.
It was a shared desire; finally returning after one of these jobs.
The man that actually prefered to not show any weakness or emotion at all faltered – his strong arms got limp, slightly trembling by the sight, feel and – that smell... of this specific man.
It was a craving that lingered for way too long.
But now it was time. Time to embrace it, not letting go anytime soon. Finally – his grip gained more strenght, on again.
Laxus leaned over –"... I missed you... Freed..." the name had a slight specific undertone for a moment. The slayer kissed his man's forehead. Gently. Lovingly. Caring.

I need to gush about this series it's so good I have never gone from not knowing what something is to being hyperfixated so incredibly fast.
So Bocchi the Rock right? Yesterday I had no clue this series even existed. By the end of yesterday I had seen a few clips and heard a few people talking before watching one episode of it. Today I binged the other ten episodes and I am OBSESSED. This show had me rolling on the ground with laughter while simultaneously getting me invested in a story that normally I wouldn't find myself enjoying that much. So I'll just start from the beginning I guess this is a slice of life comedy show about social anxiety. I don't think I have to say much on that we all get it but the way it's portrayed here is just beyond words good. The presentation of this show is out of this world. It follows Hitori Gotoh a socially inept girl with a passion for playing guitar. She wants to start a band and get popular but just can't get herself out there. One day she brings her guitar into school hoping to get some attention to little success. However she is noticed by Nijika Ijichi who is just starting the Kessoku band and had her guitarist flake out on her five hours before a concert. Desoerate she drags Hitori along with her to join her band. It's a huge step for Hitori that she is not at all ready for and various shenanigans ensue from there. I could go on but this show is fantastic and I want people to watch it. I personally love how the show ties its drama and comedy together seamlessly. Whenever Hitori is stressed out about something the show goes wild changing up the animation style completely to represent her sudden panic attack which both puts you in her frame of mind and gets you to laugh.
My personal favorite is this one where the animation just rapidly devolves into simple 3d models for all of 4ish seconds while Hitori is hurled through a wall to represent her fear of an upcoming performance. It's something that I think a lot of people can relate to having to present to a ton of people is nerve wracking while also just being incredibly fun to watch and there's a different style change every single time this happens I never know what to expect next and it always catches me off guard and makes me laugh! The show also has an actual plot going for it it isn't all just jokes with no substance these characters develop throughout and they do it quickly enough for a character's growth in the season to be clear. It doesn't take Hitori 20 episodes to overcome every issue she faces. She's just honest and works on herself bit by bit with things coming full circle from the start to the end. It's the small details that really bring everything together here. Little things that keep popping up as the show goes on that develop Hitori and her relationship with her bandmates.
Also the opening song is super good I've been listening to it on repeat for literally like 6 hours.
