great perhaps (peter parker x reader): full oneshot coming this weekend!!

a/n: 1) this full oneshot is currently at 8,085 words and isn’t done or fully edited so that’s why i’m doing a teaser lmao, 2) this is based off looking for alaska so it’ll loosely follow the premise of it but it’s not exactly the same, 3) i don’t have a taglist so any & all posts will be tagged ‘oneshot: great perhaps’!! 4) endgame never happened in this lmao

The summer night air felt nice against Peter’s skin. It wasn’t too hot, like it was earlier. But it wasn’t too cold, like Peter knew it would get as summer transitioned into fall. Looking up to the sky, Peter smiled when he wasn’t able to see a few constellations and stars against the navy blue with a hint of pink and yellow sky. “Peter?” A voice called. “That you?” Peter turned around, seeing y/n “Hey.” He smiled. “Mind if I join you?” She asked, Peter shaking his head. “Not at all.” This time it was her turn to smile, her eyes sparkling under the minimal light from the building they were in front of and the moonlight. “So how do you know so many people already?” “Orientation.” She responded as the pair walked. “We all met at orientation and clicked right away.” “That’s really nice.” Peter replied honestly, y/n nodding in agreement. “So what else is there to know about you, Peter?” y/n asked. “I dunno. Not much really.” Peter shrugged. “Are you single or taken?” Peter felt his face heat up at the question. “Single. Why?” He answered, making her shrug. “‘M curious.” She told him, glancing at him. “Ever kissed anyone?” Peter shook his head. “Hm. I thought you would’ve by now, you’re cute.” She said, grinning when he blushed. “You know, it’s okay to struggle sometimes.” Peter’s eyes widened. “How did you-” “I saw you going to the counseling center with your mom.” She cut him off, making him nod. “I may go sometimes. I wanted to check it out. You were just there at the same time.” “My aunt.” She looked at him questioningly. “I was with my aunt. Both of my parents died when I was younger.” He told her, answering the question she didn’t ask but Peter knew she would ask. “My dad died when I was young. ‘S just me and my mom.” She said. “I’m sorry. It sucks.” Peter spoke, making her nod enthusiastically in agreement. “The stars look so pretty at night.” She hummed, looking at the night sky decorated with the stars. “You like space, Peter?” “Not really.” He winced. “The stars do look nice, though.” “They do.” She sighed. “I love astronomy. I think it’s so interesting and space is so beautiful.” “I’m more of a chem person.” Peter answered simply, earning a ‘valid’ in response. “Well. I better get going. Classes tomorrow.” She grunted, pulling herself off the grass, Peter following her movements. “Well, it was nice talking to you.” Peter said. “Yup. I wanna do it again sometime.” She told him, grinning when he blushed again. “Do you mind if I kiss you?” She asked, taking Peter by surprise. “What? Is-isn’t your relationship status complica-” Peter was cut off by her lips on his cheek in a kiss that was over almost as quickly as it started. “I’m a complicated girl.” She winked. “See you tomorrow!” She called as she walked back to her dorm. As Peter walked back to his, his mind was reeling with what happened. He wondered why she wanted to kiss him, even if it was only on the cheek and why her relationship status was complicated. He wondered why she said she was complicated. Peter wanted those answers but coming from his own experience, he hated when people asked about personal things he didn’t want to talk about. His mind wandered to the interest he picked up after he returned: quotes. More specifically, last words. He loved regular quotes, ones that inspired him each and every day but since he became dwelling on his own last words, his focus shifted to last words. He became replaying his last words ‘I’m sorry,’ over and over again in the soul stone, wondering if anyone besides Tony knew his last words and if they made an impact on anyone. His favorite that he found was by Richard Feynman. He said “I’d hate to die twice. It’s so boring.” Peter hoped he wouldn’t die again for a long time or lose someone close to him. For Peter, death was more than boring. Death was emptiness; it was a void that was never filled no matter how much Peter yelled, screamed or cried in the soul stone. He hoped nobody would ever feel that way. It never occurred to him that someone might be feeling that way while they were alive.

1/2 Hey! Its your science buddy! I know its been forever (literal years lmao), but wanted to say hi and check in :) I just wanted to say ur post about getting better helped me a lot. I had really bad depression when I checked in last, and wasn't in a great place mentally. You kinda inspired me to try to be healthier and kinder to myself. I am actually doing really well now. Once my depression was under control, I decided that I actually really liked science, so I changed majors and schools

2/2. I graduate this year and am getting my bachelors degree as a nurse! So I actually ended up in science/health. I even made the honors program at my school. I lhave friends in my manor that I hang out with socially too (before I was super isolated and lonely). My energy is better so I started running again, and im hoping to do a 5k/10k later this year. I just feel really happy and my self esteem (while not perfect) is a ton better. Thanks for being so public with ur journey. Its def worth it!

Ohmygod i cannot tell you how happy i am to read this. It means so much to hear from you, and with this positive development as well.

Once you start dealing with your depression it will set of a good chain of events as you are forced to evaluate what works and doesn’t work in your life. When you do this, you regain energy. The thing you said about being social also resonates with me. If you are an introvert, like me, its especially easy to just assume that you WANT to be alone, always. But engaging with the people in your class and around you is honestly so important! And once you regain a small bit of energy you are equipped to do that. Physical activity is also seriously so helpful, and while its not my favourite thing to do i try to do it for my mental health if nothing else.

I’m so proud of you for making the honours program and finding a field you are passionate about. You are going to make an EXCELLENT nurse! And like, maybe you wouldn’t have figured that out if you hadn’t taken a chance and gone out of your regular field to try a science class! Me taking that astronomy class proved that its not a field for me, but I tried it and now I know! I think that’s just the nature of early adulthood to find what you want to do and what makes you happy. You have to keep trying things and eventually you’ll stumble upon something.

SO inspiring to hear that you are doing well and i’m beyond happy if I could have any part in that. Congrats in advance to your degree! as a matter of fact, i got my bachelors degree TODAY (!!) in international relations (a field that I really love)!

To anyone reading this who is struggling, me and anon are both excellent examples that things can, and will, get better. Mentally and/or academically!

Why you two work well!!

So for one thing I think you guys would work well because based on the fact that you have that thirst of knowledge and you’re an INTP makes it a pretty nice-ish pairing with Oikawa? Okay this is whack but hear me out lol, despite the fact that most INTP’s are very shy and they’re not one to put themselves out there for a relationship, I think you’d probably have something intriguing enough for someone like Oikawa, who spends most of his time with volleyball, to seek you out. When you guys are dating, I think there will come a mutual understanding that Oikawa loves volleyball but you’re able to be communicative with him aboutyour needs and wants out of a relationship. It also says on the INTP page LOL, that those crazy romantic gestures are unimportant for those with the INTP personality type, so it works out that Oikawa may not always have the time for that anyway. Of course, you’d still have some extravagent date nights every now and then but I think it just works with how busy Oikawa is but you’re also understanding and would want to support him. Plus even you have your own goals and ya know, you both support each other.

how you two get together

but i like to think that mayhaps you were in the library trying to find some booksto read

for this time particularly, you wanted to look into astronomy

ah but there’s these other two guys there too

one who’s trying to talk about finding books on alien sightings

and the other who keeps calling him “shittykawa”

this happens for a while

the three of you guys just are always in the same area

there was never really an excuse for either of them to talk to you

but you did find one of the attractive (oikawa)

however you did realize that that was the pretty boy heartthrob of Aoba Johsai

even if you didn’t go to his school

so you definitely didn’t want to get caught up with the likes of him. who wants to get their heart broken anyway?

but one of those times you’re at the library, there’s a book that the two of you happen to go for at the same time (you notice his other friend isn’t there)

you simply offer it to him and say that you’ll read something else

but he shakes his head and with that award winning smile of his he just says “let’s read it together.” he kinda trying to be a flirt lmaaaooo

the two of you introduce yourself to each other

and once you’re both done with the book and you have to head home he walks with you to the train station

it sorta becomes tradition

and it’s how you get to know him beyond his uh pretty boy heartthrob personality that people talk about

of course you were wary at first

but when he started nerding out about volleyball and aliens being real

yeah, no, he’s a bit of a loser

you guys get really close after that and it’s because of how you’re supportive of his volleyball endeavors (not so much for his “aliens are real endeavors”) and yet still caring, that you kinda stand out

you met iwaizumi because of him and it’s also because of iwaizumi that you found out oikawa pushes himself too hard

so you do an accumulation of small things to remind oikwaa to take care of himself

that he can’t become the best if he doesn’t

you become one of the special people in his life, and he doesn’t have a lot of special people either

but then he’s like shit

you’re a different kind of special

so he spends a little bit more time with you because, as he says it, “it’s either i hang out with you, or i overwork myself practicing. and i don’t want to hang out with iwa-chan cus he’s just mean”

i mean it makes sense though and maybe you want to think it’s cus he likes you but you don’t want to bet on that. don’t want your heart broke

but it’s on one of the nights that you guys are hanging out, doing something simple maybe just hanging in his room and he’s watching some volleyball games while you’re practicing some sketches in your sketchbook

he becomes ever so slightly more vulnerable with you

talks about his plans for the future after high school

and to his surprise you’re supportive

even if it means he might be leaving the country

and he impulsively confesses

which kinda surprises you but it works well

but you easily reciprocate said feelings and even when the relationship becomes long distance, it works because you both want it to.

For BNHA: I ship you with midoriya izuku! and I know I know it’s kinda funny to me too that it’s like oikawa in one and then midoriya in the other BUT I THINK IT WORKS.

why you two work well!!

Deku’s always one to learn about the people around him, ways he can implement how other heroes fight to how he can fight. Deku’s just extremely smart and has to be extremely creative in order to fight using methods from heroes with starkly different quirks from himself. I feel like the two of you would end up talking about what the two of you learned, learning more things from each other, and be able to bounce back and forth. Though, since you are on the more shyer side and Midoriya’s kinda awkward I think once you guys get past that level of awkwardness and you btoh realize how much you have in common you guys become fast friends!

how you got together

so you’re probably in the support department in the same class as Mei Hatsume, 1-H

Although Mei is the one Midoriya had gone to for outfit changes, you were always there and had given more tips as well

Actually, when Midoriya goes back to thank Hatsume for a particularly helpful change on his uniform, Hatsume tells him to thank you instead!

he’s awkward about it but it kinda cute tho ya know

i also think midoriya ends up rambling about other ideas he has for his outfit

you’re sure to give him your two cents but then it ends up being sorta the two of you rambling and bouncing ideas back and forth!

it’s really cute

Hatsume ships it so she does what she can to make sure Midoriya goes to you for uniform repairs/changes from now on

you somettimes eat lunch with him! which means you meet other 1A students

All the 1A girls LOVE you because finally more GIRLS

anYWAY i think it’s one of those relationships that go from friends to lovers sorta thing

but midoriya gets so flustered when you guys do ease into it

you’re gonna have to be straightforward with him

he definitely causes you a lot of stress and worries

Technically this blog has been active since before I made this post but I’ve been waiting ‘till I get back from vacation to start it

• I’m very interested in film and animation, and I’m hoping to start a tv production club at my school next year!!

Tl;Dr: Basically an about me and the foundation of my blog.

I feel the need to make a post like this because I’m very reserved, which I’ll get into, but honestly I would genuinely enjoy making friends within the simblr community. 1.) Hi, my name is Mary and I’m new to the simblr community in regards to having an actual blog and making edits. But before I would just lurk and reblog which I still do anyway so. 2.) I don’t make cc or mods whatsoever, kudos to people who do though, I can’t for shit even though I never attempted to.. cough ANYWAY 3.) I made this blog because a friend of mine who initially introduced me to Tumblr thought my edits were good enough to make a blog. I honestly didn’t think my stuff was good enough to post, I still don’t, but I’m glad I did. I’m not being modest, I use apps from my tablet to edit because adobe photoshop is just…I’m just better with apps, so my stuff can be rough around the edges. But I’m genuinely thankful that I actually grew the areolas to do this, this community is wonderful and so inspiring and I just love it. 4.) I was introduced to the sims by my cousin when I was 8, and I remember begging my mom nonstop but she said no because it was for teens and I was only like 8 or 9. BUT, this still amazes me to this day, I was blessed to get every single sims 2 game for free through my sister because at the time she had this job where she cleaned abandoned houses of people who were evicted and just left their stuff, and most of the time she would bring the stuff home to us and so yeah! And by the time I was 11 my mom bought me ts3. 5.) A little more about me, as previously mentioned my name is Mary and I’m 17, I edit and reblog strictly mm. I’m nothing special that is all my blog is haha. I’m homeschooled and I plan on going to college for astronomy or biology (my passion lies mostly in the stars though, where my head is 24/7). I play the violin and I’m currently learning French, I have absolutely no pets but I’m the most dog crazed, reptile whatever crazed, I will pet your shit m8. My love for animals probably came from not having any as a kid if I’m honest; anyway, school resumes in August and I struggle with social anxiety, so I’m pushing myself next school year so I’ll be busy(With things like working to get into Stanford, my instrument, working on internships/jobs, I’ll have many more class and I’ll be learning French again this year, AND DRIVING AHHHH) but I won’t abandon this blog, I’ll try to be consistent. I’m fairly new but I’m not new to learning withdrawal, I get really depressed and self conscious if I’m not productive or stimulating my mind in some way; but with editing sims, especially since it’s summer is stimulating enough as is. I’ve learned quite alot and maybe when I’m more confident I’ll edit from a computer instead of my iPad. Also I have sickle cell diease and I go to the hospital at least once a month, and my pain is constantly there so be patient with me. Also everybody who plays sims knows that you play for 30 decades and then you don’t feel like playing for 5,000 years, it’s…it’s a cycle, my depression doesn’t help with this either. 6.) Gosh everyone is so talented in their own way in this community. Okay I’m done gawking, promise. 7.) I try to be wcif friendly (I didn’t even know what that meant until I looked it up a month ago lmao) but it’s hard because I already had cc in my game before starting this blog and my mod folder isn’t the most organized, my stuff is merged so. But recently I’ve been reblogging whatever I download to my game or at least I intend to put in my game. 8.) And finally, honestly I was thinking about posting something within the lines of this for awhile but I only have like 11 followers… including my sister, luv u tho.. so I didn’t want to be that guy, well girl. But honestly I love this community and I couldn’t be more blessed to be able to have a working computer to play from and screenshot and a device to edit from. That might seem stupid and trivial, but I’m trying to find where I belong, I’m an overthinker and I am quite naive and I just try to see the beauty/blessing in everything. 9.) Do I have another blog or a main blog? Cookios is my first and primary blog that I mostly sh**post on…yeah Rami is my photo……Yes I see a therapist. 10.) Why did I decide to name my simblr BeviSims? My last name is Beaver and I lack creativity, something close to BeviSims was taken and I settled for this but I forgot what form of my title was taken. 11.) My most popular post? My Rami malek edit probably, also my favorite and not JUST because that boi is finer than wine itself but because he has interesting features so it was fun to make him! Especially since I strive to diversify my sims. 12.) Will I post selfies on this blog or make a sim-self? I will most definitely make a Sims me in the near near future, eee I’m excited!! As for selfies, probably not we’ll see. THANK YOU! 😘

In the future I hope to participate in many of these creative tags, like the song tag where you make a sim based on that song. I like that, it helps especially if you’re trying to find a reason to get up and edit or if you want to but you just don’t have anything to work from. (Sorry if some of it doesn’t make sense or if there are an unbelievable amount of typos, I will go through this in the morning from the computer and organize it and proofread but I was anxious to get this out, even if nobody reads it, I’m glad I did it.)
