hello everybody! my name is diana, and this is a new studyblr! this is a sideblog, and i follow from @arteimys

here’s the deal on me: - diana - 18 - freshman in college - attending a community college (CC) - studying business - she/her - grayace as hell some of my goals: - transfer to a top UC (california) school - go to law school - work in entertainment law

some of my interests: - i love studying languages! i’ve dabbled in japanese, korean, and hebrew, but i’m most fluent in french outside of english. - i love films, specifically sci-fi films! some of my faves are arrival, interstellar, thor ragnarok, and captain america. - i also really love overwatch! i’ve even been trying to get into it competitively, but apart from that, the lore is so cool. if anyone wants to learn more about CC’s, i’d love to make a post on it! so often it’s expected that we go straight into an ivy fresh out of high school, and quite frankly that’s not the vast majority of people’s realities - CC’s are a fantastic opportunity and i’m so passionate about them! so, yeah, hit me up if you want to learn more! some folks who inspired me to start my own studyblr, in no particular order: @studylustre @rhubarbstudies @eintsein @studyquill @obsidianstudy that’s all for now, thanks for reading! ✨

Hello hello! My goodness, I started this blog just a few weeks ago and I’m almost at 250 followers already, I didn’t think to check that number earlier at all! But thank you to you wonderful babes out there for following me, I really hope we can be friends in the future and start talking about studying and coffee and tea and books all day long!

✨2017 in Review✨

hey everyone! after a long while of only periodic reblogs and silent pauses, I’m coming back! again!!! you all deserve better than what I’ve been giving you, and I definitely do have content-worthy stuff from the past few months, so I’m starting with my year in review.

there were lots of ups and downs, some more private than others, some more devastating, but in the end, I like where I am. I’m a third of the way through my first year of college and I’m taking next year off; I’ve sparked my love of writing again, this time in full, and I hope to do much more of it. ah maybe I should do a goals for 2018 post as well hmm.... but anyway, this year was a wild ride in so many ways, and I really hope next year brings better things!

IN 2017 I...

started writing again!! I’ve gotten great headway on developing the setting of my main work, and I’ve made so many more OCs than I ever planned, plus now I have more people to encourage me than I honestly ever dreamed of

graduated high school!!

made a surprising amount of friends, both new friendships on many levels, and rekindling a few old ones

realized a lot about the kind of people I like, and what I don’t like

kissed someone, and subsequently realized it’s Not the thing for me

joined a few clubs!

took more pictures of places I’ve been, around my dorm, the snow around the pond, the sunset, small and quiet moments of my life

really got my studyblr going!! it’s hard to believe that it’s all been within the year that I’ve gained over 3.5k followers, and I really hope that next year I work to earn even more

got ripped away from home and faced the consequences, but I’ve taken steps toward recovery or at least coping and I’m hoping to take many many more

studied less than I would’ve liked, but that is my own fault and no one else’s

didn’t explore my surroundings very much, but I did look into methods for doing so

found a job that suited and challenged me, and worked hard at it

saved enough money to buy a much better phone! no more bad pictures and struggling with unsupported apps!

got to hug my best friend!! and watch her fall in love and i’m so happy for her!!!

got sucked deeply into kpop and i don’t think i’ll ever be able to leave, and subsequently am now able to recognize over 120 boy kpop idols and what are you saying i do have a life

came up with methods to make sure that I’m okay, to avoid disconnecting whenever possible

started listening to podcasts

came up with bujo spreads that fit my needs at the time, and developed new ones accordingly

got to give christmas presents!!! good ones!!

discovered that i naturally write prose poetry, and was given the means to get into the world of writing

had great professors!! someone remind me to talk all about my queer literature class and professor guess because oh my god best class ever

probably did a lot more that i’m just forgetting!

WHAT I LEARNED

i need to study more!! and push myself to study because otherwise, i won’t.

i can make friends!!

i am very capable of writing storylines that rip people’s emotional hearts out

sometimes you can’t take care of things and keep them alive, but it’s alright to let your plant die because you did your best

be aware of what other people might be going through, and rant or vent or don’t accordingly

how to avoid feeling disconnected after going somewhere new

sometimes you will go to a club and not feel like you fit in; that’s alright, it happens, you can choose to not go again

reach out!!! don’t let yourself wallow in your hurt or bad feelings, reach out even to strangers if you know they would care

i really like shopping for myself

WHAT I HOPE FOR IN 2018

some peace!! the world is slowly going to shit and i just want to exist peacefully

to write more than i ever have before, and enjoy what i write

find a good place to live

find a fitting job that i can enjoy at least in part

see my family again within the year

get a dog??? maybe??

keep up with my studyblr!

intentionally study more and set achievable academic goals

draw more! even just a little doodle every weekend

learn a bit more korean and restart turkish

find a name that feels good

forgive myself if i don’t reach these goals, because things change and not reaching something set at one specific moment is not the end of the world

and hey! if you’d like to drop some of your own goals for next year, what you learned this year, exciting things you did, etc. etc. in my inbox, i’d be so glad to hear about them!!

-21.10.17- Ok, I’m done saying I’ll get back to posting regularly. Chances are, I won’t. I’ll do my best but honestly??? I’m coming to the end of the year and it’s taking every bit of strength I have left to just hand in the assignments and get through exams.
