september snapshots // currently playing: Cincin - Hindia

i kind of dropped off the face of the earth after last fall semester... needless to say, spring semester was rough for me and i just withdrew from everything for a while. anyways, i am back now !! my classes started a month ago and so far i have been handling everything surprisingly well ? but with midterms coming up, i am definitely starting to feel the stress. also, i am in my third year now and the reality of that is starting to hit me as everyone around me is now talking about jobs and grad school. i am an obsessive planner and the fact that i'm not sure what i want to do right after college is adding to my stress, but at least i still have all year to figure it out. i can't say i'll be posting any more regularly now, but i'll at least try. i hope september has been a good month and that October will treat you well !!

The experience as an exchange student

My life in Spain was magnificent and amazing. So, I’m gonna blog about my experience as an asian girl spending valuable life in Spain.

Firstly, how I been there? I had gotten the scholarship as an exchanged student flying abroad. As I’ve been majoring in the faculty of humanities and social sciences in Spanish program. Then, I participated representative election for Spanish course in Spain and I got it. Afterward, I prepared any documents for applying Visa which was notorious in the one of hardest approved visa. Finally, my visa was approved, and I bought Emirates’s flight ticket that is so expensive.

I set my goal and prayed with myself with thankfulness, best of luck, God, my parents always supported me, and universe’s power. At the end of dream I could achieve my goal, my child’s dreams going to Europe. My new life would be begin from that on

I spent about five months in Logroño, La Rioja, Spain where I had memorable memories. I was as a student at there going to university everyday and got level B1 certificate of Spanish. I was so proud of myself.

My life in Spain was awesome because I had tried on many things I’ve never done before like hiking, walking around ten kilometers per day, cooking some meals, learning new languages like Chinese, having multicultural parties, playing ice-skate, making the new friends from others countries, spending my life like a native, etc.

After I finished a Spanish course, I traveled around no more less than of seven countries in the south of Europe such as Paris, Belgium, Austria, Republic Czech, Italy, Greece, Hungary, and Spain. That was sound crazy, but it could be possible. That was the amazing memories I would never forget.

Pink certainly gets my attention

I love how my notes look like a ladurée dessert!

This is my last exam and I have to give it my all. This course has been challenging to say the least but I learnt a lot and I took a liking to a subject I thought I would hate.

My study tips:

Set a timer of 1 hour tops for maximum productivity.

Make a small summary on each paragraph or chapter that you read on the margins of the book (make it look very cute as an extra)

Make sure your space is well illuminated and appealing to your eye (doesn’t have to be expensive, a little can go a long way!)

Talk to other people! Make sure you communicate with colleagues and professors, getting someone else’s perspective can be very valuable.

Try and explain the subject to someone with absolutely no idea of it! If they understood it then so do you

early september // currently playing: NIKI - Keeping Tabs

the semester has definitely been off to a start. i feel like i have been doing nothing except reading: readings for psych, readings for french, readings for work. it's enjoyable, but i have been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately, especially since i don't really have much time to read (or do much of anything to be honest) for fun. hopefully i feel more on top of things as the semester progresses!

currently reading: The Secret History - Donna Tartt

recently finished: La Jalousie - Alain Robbe-Grillet (it was for class, i am still confused)
