Back again!

Hello everyone! I took a small break to really rest on the holidays.

The break is officially over! I am so excited for the begging of my semester, I started off real strong and I hope to keep it up.

In case there’s someone out there who didn’t immediately started their academic regime: Don’t worry! You can start at any time, it’s never too late and time is just a construct. You can start on a Thursday as long as you start!

This is your reminder to just start, you’ll feel so much better. Be kind to yourself on the process. 🤍

Not related to studyblr!

This Christmas I didn’t really want anything but for my sisters to get what they asked for. They did! It was so beautiful and heart warming, I cried in front of all of my family when my sisters were opening their presents.

Since I am the oldest sister my gifts came last an I have to confess my heart ached receiving all these beautiful presents. I truly couldn’t believe they were for me.

I come from a very humble family and I would be the first member with a formal degree, which is why I study my ass off. These presents were from extended family and I won’t ever forget how they gave me props for all my dedication. I’ll study even harder and give it my 110%.

I know this is not related but I wanted to share this, I’ve never received such nice things in my life 🤍

Happy Tuesday everyone! Tis the season ❄️ I love a good snow around Christmas time. This is my last real week of class before Christmas break, good luck to everyone taking finals and exams!

reading picture books to toddlers in a public library

having that one piece of poetry that makes you want to fall in love

writing love letters to your long distance lover and collecting them all in a box under your bed instead of actually sending it to them

writing bad poetry for the person you have a crush on and stuffing it anonymously in their locker

craving your initials into the bark of a well aged tree because you want to leave your mark on the world

This one came out a bit fairy-like

I intended to do another winter spread lol. I was going to make a very big spread about things I should focus on about myself to improve. I realized a big part of my opportunities for improvement is the fact that I can really expand my social circle, and that got me thinking about my relationships with people.

So I decided to grow as a part of a community as well, and be very mindful of others and grow and heal in the company of like-minded people

As a person very kept to herself this is going to be a challenge but all the ways I am going to change and grow really excite me!

My semester is over!

So this is actually making me a bit nostalgic, but I’ll have more time for my independent studies (the more fun ones) and some colorful spreads.

I am actually going to start focusing more on socializing and making friends with similar interests. Wish me luck!

Pink certainly gets my attention

I love how my notes look like a ladurée dessert!

This is my last exam and I have to give it my all. This course has been challenging to say the least but I learnt a lot and I took a liking to a subject I thought I would hate.

My study tips:

Set a timer of 1 hour tops for maximum productivity.

Make a small summary on each paragraph or chapter that you read on the margins of the book (make it look very cute as an extra)

Make sure your space is well illuminated and appealing to your eye (doesn’t have to be expensive, a little can go a long way!)

Talk to other people! Make sure you communicate with colleagues and professors, getting someone else’s perspective can be very valuable.

Try and explain the subject to someone with absolutely no idea of it! If they understood it then so do you

I am still alive!

Bad news though, the big C got me after all this time. I feel very frustrated and angry about catching this nasty bug because I was being very careful but because of an incident, things ended up like this.

Anyways I feel fine! I am a bit intimidated by the days I am going to have to be completely secluded but I already planned out a bunch of cool activities.

My hiatus was a bit long but I am ready to get back on track! Lots of journaling and studying to do

This class is so tough and so fun!

I joined a study group and our first session was super helpful, I contributed tons so it was very rewarding.

Also, tennis is going great! I am not a prodigy but it’s super fun and I intend to go as much as possible, I have lots of tennis outfits planned.

Exams are just around the corner so I am actually looking forward to stay up late studying, I can already taste the midnight snacks!

I am working on studying for longer chunks of time, I’ve always been a daydreamer so it’s hard to concentrate for long :(
