The sentient rocks' opinions of their Guardians:
Sol Emeralds: This is Blaze! She is descended from many of our previous Guardians, and has a firm grasp on duty. We love her.
Chaos Emeralds: This is Sonic! We found him on the side of a road eating a chili dog and yelling at this egg creature. We love him.
Master Emerald: This is Knuckles, who honestly deserves better than the life his ancestors gave him. I consider him my son in many ways. I love him.
Time Stones: This is Silver. We saw him throw a car at a god once. We love him.

This is an art of Sonic the Hedgehog and Amy Rose celebrating the game Sonic CD's 30th anniversary, along with the seven Time Stones. 💎 So... Happy 30th anniversary, Sonic CD! 🥳 And enjoy! 🙂

Remember in Sonic Frontiers DLC 3, Sonic had to meet the pilots of the Titans (in case, their spirits) in order to gain control over the Cyber energy?
Okay, now imagine if Silver ever had to do something similar, but with the Time Stones.
Until where I thought, there would be seven guardians for the Time Stones, not 1 per stone, but rather the 7 working together to guard the full set... And they are all well alive, they usually don't reveal themselves, but this time they wanted to talk to Silver, every of them, one by one...
Maybe their existence could explain why Sonic was able to get all of them even though Eggman had been there before, but that's an extra detail that's also totally unecessary
The thing is, while the first guardians are beings Silver didn't know, from the 4th or 5th they start to be familiar faces, his friends, like Amy & Tails for example, what itself is shocking for the hedgehog "What? How? When? Why?" he wonders. Are they the future selves of the heroes he befriended? Are they alternate versions? He considers... I would prefer they do not clarify
Then the most shocking: The 7th guardian is nobody else than himself.
And the longest talk he had with one of these guardians starts...

Now I want a if Madara was in Sonic
Madara with all the chaos emeralds (or super emeralds), the time stones, the master emerald, the world rings, sol emeralds, and phantom ruby and wisps. And it would work really well in his favor thanks to emeralds being able to change thoughts in power. Sharingan + that crap is wrap to any.

There's three canon sets of Miracle Gem sets of 7. There's only one canon Master Emerald and Chao/Gem set guardian deity. But it got me thinking what if the other sets did have their own Master Emerald/controller and Chao guardian deities? I also noticed that these gem sets are in each separate world.

Random facts about my Au pt.2
Mobius is divided into 7 kingdoms. They are divided into zones that are governed by the dukes.
Each kingdom has their own time stone and those are connected to one of the 7 moons around the planet .
Also each royal family of each kingdom gets powers from the respective time stone.
The kingdoms are:
Verdena - kingdom of electricity (green) - the Hedgehog dynasty
Aqualis - kingdom of water (blue) - the Aqueste dynasty
Girrispia - kingdom of light (yellow) - the Acorn dynasty
Violia - kingdom of darkness (purple) - the "Blackarms" dynasty
Rubris - kingdom of fire (red) - the Sol dynasty
Ciana - kingdom of air (cyan) - the Aria dynasty
Terracia - kingdom of earth (orange) - the Peacock dynasty
(some names might change)
_______________________________
So, here is the second part to random facts about this AU. This time some geography (i guess) and little things about the kingdoms. Hope you like them!
(I'm working hard on the answer to another question, don't worry)

If things like the Time Stones or Phantom Ruby induced a transformation for Sonic, what do you think they would do to him, physically or mentally? (Also am I supposed to capitalize those?)
Time Stone Sonic would gain the ability to travel back in to the past, and only into the past, which sounds like a limitation, but it would lead to that great scene from Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey where the main villain seems to have the upper hand and they just go
"Well, wait. We could just remind ourselves in the future to go back in time and set a trap in the past, so that we have a cage rigged up to drop on the villain right... now!"
And the moment they say that, the cage drops.
Maybe it would also give him the ability to see the future, but since Sonic never plans ahead and just "goes where the wind takes him" he never uses it to see the future (or his future is always too unpredictable for it to be a clear picture).
Collecting all the Phantom Rubies would give Sonic Dr. Strange's multiverse powers.

Sonic could summon infinite alternate dimension versions of himself; a literal army.
But, again, I'm not entirely sure he'd want to use them? His carefree attitude wouldn't make it very logical for him to play with forces like that.

When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you'll be breaking the speed limit, Sonic! Time travel doesn't justify that!

What if the Paradox Prism from Sonic Prime is like the Master Emerald for the Time Stones?
ANON YOUR MIND OMG
This tracks pretty well too! The Time Stones allow someone to travel through time and change things and then see that good future from what we see in Sonic CD, while the Paradox Prism is said to be able to manipulate space and send people to alternate dimensions- the latter we see when it gets shattered. And shattering it apparently destroys the main dimension if Shadow is to be believed (which I'm not sure I do- at the very least it has to be reversible) so it's clear there's something going on here. Time manipulation and dimensional manipulation like the Paradox Prism is capable of probably isn't that far apart, especially considering the fact that the main alternate versions of the characters we see in each world's personalities could easily come about from one minor change in their backstories. (Like it is all but flat out stated that Nine is who Tails would have been had Sonic not appeared, Thorn could be an Amy that wound up spending time with nature and not other people, and Dread could be a Knuckles that never had any sort of responsibility.) (Could also be applied to some of the other alternates- it's really easy to see Rusty as an Amy that never got saved by Sonic during Sonic CD- but unfortunately most of them aren't given enough focus for us to know for sure.)
Basically what I'm trying to say that yeah, it makes a lot of sense that they'd be connected in some way because they both involve manipulating time and space.
About the only thing I can think of against it is the fact that shattering the Master Emerald doesn't seem to have any immediate bad effects, but considering how every single time Knuckles tries to find it and restore it as fast as possible maybe it'd take more time for it to affect things. (Like, both Adventure games take place over a couple days max for example.)
By the way, sorry to bring up my Guardians au if you don't care, but this makes all those memes of Silver coming back to scream at Sonic for fucking with the timeline even funnier x)

Knuckles, totally not serious: I wonder what does the Time Stones taste like...
Silver, laying and staring the ceiling: They taste like magical gemstones that will turn you into a baby if you dare to lick one of them.
Sonic, without looking up from his book: Or into a very old man.

something. about. the horror of being sent on an impossible (death) quest and obligations and hospitality politics. the trauma of not having a home, and then the trauma of being in a house that becomes actively hostile to you, one that would swallow you whole and spit out your bones if you step out of line. all of this is conditional, your existence continues to be something men want gone.
it's about going back as far as I can with the perseus narrative because there's always a version of a myth that exists behind the one that survives. the missing pieces are clearly defined, but the oldest recorded version of it isn't there! and there's probably something older before that!! but it's doomed to forever be an unfilled space, clearly defined by an outline of something that was there and continues to be there in it's absence.
and love. it's also about love. even when you had nothing, you had love.
on the opposite side of the spectrum, this is Not About Ovid Or Roman-Renaissance Reception, Depictions And Discourses On The Perseus Narrative.
edit: to add to the above, while it's not about Ovid, because I'm specifically trying to peel things back to the oldest version of this story, Ovid is fine. alterations on the Perseus myth that give more attention Medusa predate Ovid by several centuries. this comic is also not about those, either! there are many versions of this story from the ancient world. there is not one singular True or Better version, they're all saying something.
