It’s storming out, but Iskall knows how to handle himself in snow. It’s his thing, in fact. In his name and everything. As long as he gets back to his cozy starter base in the next, say, fifteen minutes, he’ll be perfectly fine and curling up with carrot-ginger soup to wait out the blizzard.

The problem being, of course, that he’s lost.

He knows his starter base is around here somewhere, although being that he’s been down in the cave base recently he’s not as quick on the mountain navigation as he’d been start-of-season. He’ll be fine, though. As long as he stays moving, keeps struggling against the driving wind, watches his steps. Remembers where he’s going. Figures out where he’s going.

As long as he doesn’t let his eyes slip closed.

It’s dark out. He’s going numb. He’ll be fine though. As long as he... As long as…

As long as…

It’s bright out. That’s nice, if a little glaring. He must have made it through the blizzard, hypothermia derps and all, if he’s waking up to snowmelt rather than to a jolting respawn in his bed, little trickles of water like the snowbanks are sweating falling off to the rocks below. Oh, wow, he’d been close to the edge there. And properly snowed over. He’ll have to check in on the integrity of his electronics once he digs himself the rest of the way out of here…

His hands go through the snowbank. Right through, as he tries to lever himself out, with no sensation but a little whoosh of cold.

He doesn’t look down. Instead, he tries again, feels that distant little frigid feeling, hits something solid. His arm sinks in, spoon into soup, and then he can feel his arm again. Stiff. Frostbitten. Solid.

He looks up at the pale sun. Something glitches horribly, black and pink, in the electronics of his left eye.

ren leans over bdubs' shoulder, occasionally casting worried glances across the room.

"bdubs," he says quietly, "you may want to put the pointer away. i know you've worked really hard on this powerpoint, and it's a great plotline idea, but uh..."

bdubs follows ren's gaze to where-

oh, goodness.

xisuma is leaning on the table, tail swishing back and forth, eyes locked on the little red dot on the screen. cleo and joe are on either side of him, trying their best to stop him from launching himself across the table at it.

"yeah, yeah, i will," bdubs says, trying just as hard not to laugh. "i will. that's funny, though."

he turns it off and xisuma whirls toward him, blinking for a moment.

"did i miss something?" he asks.

bdubs cracks up at that, and then cleo and joe start laughing, and nothing gets done for the rest of the meeting.

I use Sakura Pigma Microns for my lineart. They work well with watercolors because you only need to give them a few minutes to dry and then they're totally insoluble!

Pronouns in Te Reo Māori

This is a five part video series that introduces and explains the pronouns in Te Reo Māori.

Part one are the singular pronouns au, ahau, koe, and ia:

Au, ahau: I, me NOTE: au and ahau are interchangeable, except that in cases where we would write a au, the a is omitted if ahau is used, for example, Kei te titiro ia ki a au. Kei te titiro ia ki ahau. He's looking at me.

Koe: you

Ia: he, she, (singular) they NOTE: ia is a gender neutral singular third person pronoun.

Part two is the inclusive we, tāua and tātou:

Tāua: us two (including the listener)

Tātou: us all (three or more people, including the listener)

Part three is the exclusive we, māua and mātou:

Māua: us two (excluding the listener)

Mātou: us all (three or more people, excluding the listener)

Part four is the plural you, kōrua and koutou:

Kōrua: you two

Koutou: you all (three or more people)

Part five is the plural they, rāua and rātou:

Rāua: those two

Rātou: all of them (three or more people)

If i were to hypothetically be drawing a comic of take only what you can carry. Hypothetically. How would scar pick up grian 👉👈 like what kind of carry

If one were to, hypothetically speaking, be on the hunt for what I was picturing in my head when I wrote "take only what you can carry", then I would hypothetically answer that it is a nearly but not quite a fireman's carry.

Behold: the closest stock image of the pose I could find.

In my head, Scar's shoulder is pressing into Grian's stomach, and Grian is slightly bent over the shoulder but not entirely (and not nearly enough to be a fireman's carry). Scar has one hand supporting Grian's hip and another higher on his back, at around the middle/just under his shoulder blades. Grian is clutching Scar's shoulders and probably looking down at him in shock.

Grian's legs are not being held, and technically he could very easily kick and flail his way free. He does not.
