Most magical races don’t have a concept of gender identity.

I think it’s an interesting a fun thought experiment with how we talk about certain topics now with gender.

Elves look pretty androgynous already. Most humans can barely tell if a elf is male or female. However, in elven culture maybe they have a gender neutral term for child elves or choose a gender neutral name for them. Thus, as the elf grows older they can decide for themselves what they want to be called. Either male, female, neither or both it does not matter to others, it only matters to the elf themselves.

Dwarves all are born with hair. Females have long beautiful beards just like the men. They are all hardy and strong all beings of the forge. As long as you can wield a hammer you can be whatever you want to be called. Dwarves thus, really don’t care if someone calls them a male or female. If they want to make that distinction they can. Though those who identify as female get a kick out of being called male by those who do not know Dwarven culture. (Or basically that everyone gets a rockin beard.)

Orcs are the same. They are born fighters. They do not care about gender. They care more about honing their skills and strength. Beings of pure might. Even the masculine presenting orcs puff up their chest in pride at the feminine presenting orcs who can beat them in combat. They care not of discrimination within the ranks. Those who are powerful should be shown by the name they choose. The name that makes them what they feel like inside. Wither it be male, female, non-binary or all. It does not matter who you are.
