Sosok gadis yg tidak berwajah Asia juga tidak berwajah Eropa, menggunakan turban seorang diri, sambil berkerja di toko peralatan seni, semua ini sering mengantarkan kepada diskusi-diskusi menarik dengan pelanggan di toko. . Cerita hari ini ditengah-tengah kesibukan merapikan barang di toko, saya menyapa ramah bapak-bapak berusia 60 tahun yang terdiam memperhatikan cat-cat lukis. Untuk memulai percakapan sy lanjut bertanya, sugan we ada yg bisa saya bantu carikan barang yg dia cari. Beliau mulai bercerita kegemarannya melukis semenjak beliau pensiun. . . Lanjut bercerita, bapak ini tiba-tiba bertanya "so what is your name?" Ini lah pertanyaan yg mengantarkan kami ke bahasan menarik selanjutnya. Seputar ajaran Nasrani yg dia ikuti, cerita-cerita biblikal, scientific proof in scriptures, Qur'an, Islam, the state of today's society, dan bahasan lainnya seputar ketuhanan dan bahasan religi. Berat kan? Tapi asik. . . Saya tersenyum ketika ditanya nama saya. Mungkin sosok saya ini sebagai wanita berturban, karyawan satu-satunya, ditengah panasnya Summer di Glasgow, berbahasa inggris dengan sedikit logat Scottish membuat bpk ini penasaran. Dilanjut dengan pertanyaan yg ke-2 and where are you from? . . Saya jawab my name is Zahrah and I'm from Indonesia. Beliau tersenyum dan bercerita nama putrinya (yg terdengar sama) Sarah, diambil dari cerita istri nabi Ibrahim, Sarah dalam bibel. Yang bhs Arabnya Hajar (Hagar). Beliau lanjut bercerita mengenai agama, budaya, kesamaan yg ditemukan antara Torah, Injil dan Qur'an. Menarik kan? Sebenarnya ini bahasan yg ga hanya sekali semenjak pengalaman mulai studi di UK. I may have flashed the Morrisons’ delivery driver. Waiting to see if the Police arrive 😬 Last night I booked an additional shopping delivery with Morrisons for an 8am-10am slot. They message you when they are on their way. 7:45 - I jump in the shower 7:48 - the doorbell rings. After a few door knocks and a few “Hang on!” I answer the door in nowt but me towel. I’m dripping everywhere. (Yeah, that’s how excited shopping deliveries get me 😑). Normally I would have been a bit narked at this ......... Am i a huge eater…?

hey people, it’s a great morning in japan! The temperature is so high and sunny these days, it is even HOT!;( and today isn’t the exception. I have to go out for study, finishing up my english essays and world history questions. I had a pre-exam for college a couple days ago, and my world history SUCKED:(((( I did not really focus on it, so maybe this is why:/ But the more serious problem is that my world history teacher did not give us handout which he always do after the pre-exam, and he never talk to me about it… this is seriously scary dude! and rn, i am eating. yes, a bento box my mama made, and also noodle. whooooa!<3

Today, the first day of classes, when we were given a fifteen minute break, the girl that had been sitting behind me got up, stood right in front of me, and said "I'm sorry. You are flawless. Just...." and she gestured, without words, to my hair, then the rest of me..."perfect".... 

I smiled and said thanks, not quite sure how to feel about it...but honestly, she made my day.
