I will stand my ground that while Rauru and Sonia are the first king and queen of Hyrule, it's solely because the Hyrule kingdom has risen and fallen multiple times throughout its history. Just as any kingdom can rise and fall, Hyrule does too. Rauru and Sonia are the first king and queen of their iteration of Hyrule Kingdom, after what could've been millennia without a "kingdom" at all.
We are told in botw that we are so far ahead in the timeline that the previous heroes and their journeys have all but faded into myth and are largely now unknown. The only hero that is still known/talked about is the one from 10k years ago, and we still know close to nothing about them. And that wasn't even facing Ganon Ganon, that was just against the first iteration of calamity ganon. Which shows that Zelda travelled back in time even further to the time of the imprisoning war. And if it took 10k years for Ganon to recharge for botw's time, then I'm gonna assume it took 10k years to charge for the first calamity. Essentially Zelda went back 20.000 years, that's HOW FAR BACK their iteration of Hyrule was formed. So no wonder next to nothing is known of the previous heroes (sorry LU chain but Wild hasn't even heard of you all... he'd be so confused that there's MULTIPLE and not one of them is the one from 10k years ago).

Side note, the mental image of TotK Link and Zelda drunk from overdoing it is hylian highly amusing. Zelda is rambling about frogs or something else to anyone who will humor her. Link's stoic filter is completely gone and he's probably already said something embarrassing. They are flirting publicly. Sidon dragging them away from their zonai contraption so they don't drive themselves off a cliff. Riju is laughing so hard at the scene she might bust something. Tulin and Yunobo are bewildered. Purah is making a mental note to chastise them for it later. Impa is smiling.

From This Life to the Next
Tumblr media
Ancient words tell me we were destined to meet.
For eternity, our souls are bound; yet this life feels as though it is the only world.
I know not what fate I have set for myself, but the sacrifice must be made.
It is my mission for your tears to fade.
Recalling something you once said to me, I promise we shall meet again.
In another life, our hands shall touch.
If battle awaits, even still, I will accept it.
Just as you protect them all, I will fight for you.
This is one of my contributions to @zelinkcommunity's Zelink Week 2023! Day Six: In Another Life
I did something a bit different for today! I figured every memory that for the prompt was a little too spoiler-y, so I did whatever this is instead. Remember to check out all the other great work posted for today!
{ For this week, I have been posting a little peek at art/writing for memories in Call of the Forgotten, a TotK rewrite I am working on (there will obviously be direct and indirect spoilers for TotK). They follow the Ancient Hero and Princess during the time of the First Great Calamity. If you haven't given them a look yet, I recommend doing so! }
Art Information: (Check out my art blog @nocturnalfandomartist!)
Thank you for reading! Check out the first concept doodles of the First Calamity here! Obviously, this is all very incomplete; but most is planned out thoroughly! If you have questions, just ask!

Totk where everything is the same but link is the sage of spirit and a descendant of mineru.
Rauru being confused when the spirit ring is already active when link wakes up despite not being able to summon anything.
Meanwhile in the past, mineru just starts laughing hysterically for no reason and everyone is confused.
Link and mineru have time-travel psychic zoom calls and gossip about things. Mineru using the information link gives her to fuck with the others.
Chaos gremlin + wine aunt = pure fuckery.
Link gets a spirit form and can sorta interact with the tear visions, but only mineru and Zelda can see him.
Link having dragon horns, a tail, and markings in his spirit form.
Rauru’s arm permanently fusing to link, even appearing in his spirit form.
That’s the good shit

Post-totk headcanons!
heavy spoilers ahead
ZELDA.
this woman spent millenia as a dragon she is going to have goddamn antlers.
so yeah, she keeps small antlers. they glow. big golden eyelashes too, eyes keep a strange glow to them
she's generally more eldritch.
I think she tends to have more memory issues after coming back. nothing too bad, but she struggles a bit sometimes.
Now Link- he does not just get back his arm. Amputate that man.
yeah so he loses his right arm from a bit above the elbow once Rauru disappears for good and takes his arm and magic back.
He gets phantom pains and all, sometimes he reaches for ultrahand and is just like. ah yeah
he takes it pretty well honestly. Purah and Zelda figure out how to make him a prosthesis and he wears it most of the time, but doesn't like it that much - he just would hate to get caught by surprise by monsters or the Yiga and fumble w/ his left arm.
Zelda and Link are always together after totk happens, but like. even more always together. And it's not just Link protecting Zelda anymore, she's protecting him too.
I think she gains a sort of very faint healing power from her time as the light dragon, so she tries to find ways to always be touching Link so he doesn't get too hurt
Mainly because he has the habit to just. not say when he's hurt, or when something's wrong.
The sages ask a lot about their ancestors, and Zelda loves to tell them and Link everything about her time in the past. She warns that she may not remember everything well, but they don't really care.
more than 100 years after the calamity started, some of the champions are starting to get forgotten - mainly, Revali and Urbosa. Daruk literally has his face carved in a moutain and the Zora live so long that most of them still remember Mipha, but Revali and Urbosa are really becoming more legend than anything. Link and Zelda make sure people remember them.
After everything starts to calm down, Link is forbidden from coming into Gerudo Town again, unless there's something happening and he has to come and protect the city, so Zelda visits often and tells him all about how everyone's doing. Riju sometimes comes out of the town and goes on walks with Zelda and Link.
Link spends a lot of time in Rito Village, telling the kids about Revali and how annoying he was- but mostly about how strong and skilled as an archer he was. He doesn't want Revali to be forgotten.
Sidon is so stressed lmao, Link visits him often. He brings gifts for him and Yona and spends time with them and everyone at the Domain. Sidon is very thankful for his friend.
Link hangs out a lot around Mipha's statue, just letting her watch over him. it's one of the rare places he feels safe enough to put his sword down and just relax.
Tulin is SUCH an excitable little bird child. He loves hanging out with Link. They're siblings I'm deciding right NOW
Link shows Zelda his dream house in Akkala and she just loses it. Link. Link you put my paintings around? Link you out our favorite flowers here? Link you got a bigger bed for the both of us? Link our horses are here? Link I'm Going To Marry You
They move here and make the house in Hateno a safe house for everyone in the village and every traveler that might come. They place travel gates near both houses so they can still go to the school.
They get married because I said so-
Back in the King's time the wedding would've been really big and public and annoying, but Zelda isn't having it. She does make a public announcement that they are getting married, but the actual wedding is a small thing (lol small).
They get married under Satori Mountain's cherry blossoms, and invite the sages, Yona, Purah, Impa, Paya, a lot of the kiddos they met in their adventures, etc. they wear flower crowns too. Link cries. Zelda cries. Everyone cries.
Link doesn't really become King because the second Zelda goes yeah you're kinda legally King now he just goes EW. NOPE.
So Link stays the Queen's knight, they're just yknow. wed.
Hyrule is rebuilt! Nothing bad happens again! because I cannot have these babies hurting again
I think Zelda learns how to fight cuz like. Come on this girl is definitely going to want to explore the Depths and Link is not going to let her go in there without a sword.
She's going to love Froxes. like so much. They're Frogs Link!!!! They Are Frogs
She finds she's most comfortable with a bow and gets a strong golden bow made for her (not the bow of light but something similar, way less powerful) and a shield cuz like goddess pls use shields people
edit after finding the dusk bow and that one person in the notes said she should get the dusk bow she gets the dusk bow
omg they build cities in the sky. They make big ass stairs.
anyways pls add on if u got headcanons for post totk.

TOTK Rauru HC's

Here's some headcanons I thought about this goat handsome man at 2am while chatting with him in Character AI sjhdajkshdkjahd. Him and Revali have in a grip it's incredible.
You bet he loves getting his ears pet by you.
Your scratches are the BEST thing in existence for him.
Though his sweet point is behind his ears just where his skull and ears joint, RIGHT THERE and he'll melt.
His ears are really sensitive okay.
Starts purring when petting his ears but will only allow it to people he feels comfortable with, in this case, only you. <3
Chin scratches please!
His ears move depending his mood.
For real this man is definetely more a cat than a zonai.
When flustered, the tip of his ears will flush in a pink shade.
Gets even more flushed when you notice his flushed ears.
Alright I'll stop with his ears I know I talk a lot about them BUT I JUST CAN'T HELP HOW THIS MAN MAKES ME FEEL- NLNDFOUAUHLCNALSA
An adorable big man, zonai....goat? ksjdsk
He genuinely gets interested about people you speak so fondly about, can be a family member, a friend, a colleague. If you love them, he loves them as well. ^^
Would like to meet them.
HE IS THE CEO OF GENTLE GESTURES FR I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW SOFT AND CARING THIS MAN IS.
LOVES to caress your hair and touch your cheeks. You're just to precious to him.
Despite him having everything a king could possible have, he thinks you're the most beautiful and amazing thing in the whole kingdom og Hyrule
His priority is to make you feel comfortable and at ease with him.
Puts his arm around your shoulders ALOT. (Man's too tall, he can't reach your waist without crunching all his back, so for both yours and his comfort he choose your shoulders.)
Teases you and loves to make you a flustered mess in private.
A FLIRT in private of course.
He finds your flustered state adorable.
If you get to know him he's really playful.
His favorite nickname for you is "my dear" <3

[Spoilers only for tutorial]
I’ve been thinking for MONTHS that Link’s arm was a removable prosthetic [and drew so]  so I’m not backing off now 😎. Also Link is trans, hope that helps.
Also, arm headcanons below:
I decided Rauru’s arm is bigger than Link’s and he has to deal with the imbalance.
Link is grateful but actually hates the thing. He didn’t get to see his injury, feel the lack of forearm. He thinks he’d be way less clumsy without this foreign tool glued to his body.
Link blames himself for everything. His mind repeats on a loop that split second where he extended his arm "like a fool” and the red cloud of malice immediately destroyed it. Thinks he was “too happy and relaxed” after the calamity and that made him not alert.
Give me a 🔁 if you 💟 what I do!

Erm more headcanons (btw these are all totk headcanons👍)
Sonia loves brushing Rauru’s hair
Sonia is omnisexual
Rauru and Sonia tease Zelda about Link a lot
Zelda has so much trauma. So much.
Ganondorf sleeps like a log.
Ganondorf unlike popular belief isn’t a momma’s boy.
Link eats anything. He would eat dirt if he felt so inclined.
Link has sleep paralysis.

Dear Revali...
Dearest Revali...
Revali,
This letter idea feels... childish and futile. Apart of me can't help but wonder if you would feel the same. After my memories returned and I was able to understand the timeline of events... I found myself more lost than one perhaps should. I lived and so many died-- you died. I can't change these events and pondering on what I may have been able to do differently only brings more heartache.
Zelda hopes that writing these unsent letters may help me regulate and grow, these were the words she shared with me. Now that there is no threat looming over Hyrule, the Calamity is defeated and you and the other champions are forever gone I feel as though I have nothing. This is not to discredit the princess as she does her best to keep us busy with the rebuilding of Hyrule. She does not put expectations of my help but it is easier to be around someone who knows the loss I feel-- who knew you.
It is difficult not to feel the breeze and wonder if you're in it. If you can even see me now... hunched over this paper that becomes more and more full of my writing that I wonder if you had even had the opportunity to obtain a glimpse of. The sky tonight resembles one of your favorites... it must be the reason why I mustered up the courage to finally start writing to you. I can't tell if it helps or hurts knowing you will never see this. This does not stop me from imagining what you may say. The jests you may toss my way as the curve of your beak upturns in what I always saw as your smile...
Do you miss me as much as I miss you? I wonder this and I wonder it often.
It is late and I fear I may spill too much at once... until next time, Revali.

Botw/Totk headcanon: Sheikah NPCs beyond Kakariko
after impa being the Last of Her Kind for nearly 20 years, we were kind of spoiled with the era of wilds sheikah. still, kakariko is known for it's older population and botw makes a point to let us know paya isn't used to seeing people her age. this post is about asking 'where are they?' and filling in the gaps. being a peaceful farming village it makes sense the younger gens would want to leave as soon as they can for some adventure.
sheikah typically have hair on the grey-to-white scale (granté proves this isn't a requirement), and unlike the past games they have a greater diversity in eye colour. below is a list of hylian npcs that look too young to have greying hair that i hc are either from kakariko, or have some sheikah ancestry.
Tumblr media
from left to right: lecia, letty, mina, her brother mils by proxy, teli, juney, and baumar. i'll go into more detail about each under the cut, comparing them from the 2 games alongside some more headcanons. some of them i haven't found in totk yet, so i'll edit when i do.
pic on the left side is them in botw, totk on the right.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mina is a treasure hunter looking for loot with her brother by the exchange ruins outside the great plateau. the siblings also show up in the dlc. they're trying to steal a sheikah heirloom back from the yiga hideout, though they don't know it's purpose - they just wanna sell it. in totk she walks on the path between lakeside stable and lurelin. she says that even treasure hunters deserve some fun once in a while, so we can assume she's takin' it easy. Mils, meanwhile...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...joined the zonai survey team, and moans about what tough work it is. he walks through pagos woods to the zonai ruins. he joined in the hopes it would lead him to treasure, but he hasn't had his lucky break yet. most hylians travel from stable to inn and can be assumed not to have a proper home due to the lasting effects of the calamity. this is my bias but i like to think he's talking about kakariko when he mentions home. let him grow some pumpkins and wrangle cuccos. he wishes to live a quiet life.
i find it sweet him and mina are both in faron. maybe they decided to split up and cover more ground? with mina off sunbathing and sipping mimosas in lurelin, mils got the short end of the stick again.
Tumblr media
Baumar:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
'i hope you die': lazy, cliché, unrealistic. 'i hope your favourite botw npc gets mushroomed and bowlcutted': it's scary, it's possible, it's happening to me right now. such was the fate of our poor resident shield-surfer bro from botw. known for many hit quotes such as 'let's go bamboo! yahoo!', 'shield surfing is like, totally radical, dude', and my favourite:
Tumblr media
in botw he rides his horse on the path between serenne and snowfield stable. in totk he's part of the fashion tour-group that run around hateno village. maybe he went to hebra to show his 'wicked' surfing moves to selmie and she said 'kid, if i let you out on the slopes you'll die. sorry'. his world was completely shattered beneath him like a broken shield, so he turned to cravats and puffy short shorts to cope.
his name is similar to the hills of baumer above deya village ruins. maybe he's a descendent of the few survivors. i wonder what his ancestors are thinking now, watching what he does with the gift of life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Teli walks between fort hateno and hateno village. He sells ancient guardian parts and even mentions he trades them with Robbie. he has a high opinion of himself and tells you he's known across hyrule for his 'roguish good looks.' in totk he's one of the men in the 'Gourmets gone missing' Penn quest that gave himself food-poisoning by riverside stable. after which he scares away some cuccos and makes you wrangle them for a sidequest. just L after L for this dashing rogue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Juney, now famous for her rupee grinding sand seal minigame, i instantly recognised as the epic divorce woman from rito village. her attitude is just as surly as ever but they gave her a soft side. i like that every minigame location could not be further from hateno. you'll find that school someday queen.
she was a newly wed mad at her husband, jogo, for choosing a cold place for their honeymoon. he begs you to give him flint to cook some baked apples for her to save their already failing marriage.
Tumblr media
in totk they're not together, jogo inhabits a cabin in tabantha village ruins with another woman. he didn't give her enough baked apples.
Tumblr media
Letty walks along the path between lakeside stable and lurelin. she gives you cooking tips and that's pretty much it. i'm pretty sure i've met her as a yiga disguise more often than i've seen the real her. if anyone has found her in totk, please let me know.
Tumblr media
Lecia is a new character in totk. she's with the research team and plays a part in the foothill stable Penn quest. she kind of looks like a grown up Koko. maybe a distant relative? but maybe she's not sheikah. maybe the sight of all those pasty naked man nips traumatised her so bad she got marie-antoinette syndrome from the shock. i haven't seen her since.
thank you if you read to the end. to clarify i'm working on some fic stuff and that entails finding npcs across the overworld to give some more lore. it's a sheikah focused fic so i needed some characters other than the kakariko residents. it's also just fun fleshing out random npcs to make the world feel more lived in. again, i'm missing some details like what mina does before you save lurelin, so i'll edit this post in the future.

On Forbidden Ground
Tumblr media
This is my contribution to @zelinkcommunity's Zelink Week 2023! Day Two: Forbidden
Look below the break to read! Be sure to check out everyone else's work, as well! They did great!
{ For this week, I will be posting a little peek at art/writing for memories in Call of the Forgotten, a TotK rewrite I am working on (there will obviously be direct and indirect spoilers for TotK). These memories will be posted out of order and are subject to change. They follow the Ancient Hero and Princess during the time of the First Great Calamity. }
Memory ?? – On Forbidden Ground
( Word Count – 1,625 )
A young woman approaches the edge of a forest of ruin. She travels along the Dracozu River, even the ripples of the water carrying her reflection with trepidation. Higher cliffs hang not far above her head, looming over the thin slits of land she has to travel upon. It occurs to her that she would have benefited from bringing along a boat, but it's far too late to turn back now. She braved this accursed wood on a whim; chasing a hope for her people.
You are chosen, Impa had told her, As a child of Light and Time– one born from the bloodline of Hylia herself– you are perhaps the only one worthy of bearing the complete Triforce upon her hand. Awaken it, and perhaps this Calamity you foresee shall fall before it even begins.
This land– the land of Faron– has been one forbidden to set foot in since she was young. However, legend properly written down by the late Queen Sonia states that a magical spring within it is hidden beyond the walls of a temple; one built to resemble a spring of the earth in ancient myth. Although later taken over by an outcast clan of barbarians, the lands holding the site were once the home of King Rauru's own ancestors; and hers. It was a place of ceremony, dedicated to the guardian dragons they worshiped. She hopes, if anywhere, she will have the best luck starting from here. Passing through this place, seeing the old statues overturned and overwhelmed by overgrowth, carries a sort of bitterness; yet this bitterness is nothing she is not already familiar with. This shell of a place is the same as the life she once knew: an empty realm of memories one simply cannot grasp. The emptiness remains, but the resentment it brings alongside it is unmatched. Creatures that once lurked in the night followed the order of the demon responsible for this hollow state. She once hid from them, in fear that The Demon King would discover the heir of his mortal enemy and try to bring her to the same fate as her mother. At that time, she was young… She never could have accounted for the people that had no option to run.
The princess becomes distant from the world she travels amidst; something that has become the norm when her thoughts dwell in a time now lost. It leaves her unaware. This moment of staring off soon twists into folly as, by the time she snaps back into reality, her attention is caught by the sound of swift movement through the tall grass. The young woman is quick to turn her head back towards the source. In unison, a golden aura emits from her body and stops a weapon mid-air. It was mere inches from striking the back of her head… it surely would have knocked her unconscious. She squints, perplexed by the weapon's structure. Suspended before her is a bat with blades fastened into the wood. Resembling a weapon of which a monster would have carried during the Imprisoning War, the club has a peculiar green substance securing the individual parts. As if she has forgotten the obvious threat of whatever threw the weapon, she slowly brings a hand towards it to inspect what has been done to upgrade such a primitive weapon this way. It is almost… familiar. The instant she attempts to investigate where she recognizes the substance from, however, she feels a heavy force drive into her back.
Zelda is sent down to the earth, managing to catch herself just before she can collide with it at full-force. Instinct kicking in, she immediately turns herself to be sure her attacker cannot catch her off guard again whilst she tries to stand. This reveals their now-visible silhouette to be close; they are close enough to easily kick the princess's stomach and pin her down with their weight. She grunts as she finally is forced down. Zelda lifts her right hand to focus a surge of light energy towards the figure, but finds herself pausing at the sight of a paralleled action from her attacker. A green energy comes from their own aimed arm, streams of its power leaking out into the air around them. It now illuminates their form in the shade of the canopy. Although their flowing red hair strikes her as odd, it is their face that particularly stands out. Unlike any Hylian, they have an almost animalistic appearance. And upon their forehead: a tear-shaped stone emits the faintest light of its own.
Almost breathless, she mutters the baffling realization aloud, "You're…– You're a Zonai."
The Zonai's blue eyes widen slightly as they gaze upon her, their right hand leaving the surface of their left arm as the glow slowly dims. She keeps an eye on every movement they make, but they do not seem intent on attacking again. The figure brings their hand to their face, their fingers spread out across it, before… removing this face entirely. In a short flash of light, she finds the Zonai has disappeared. It has been reduced to a carved face in the hands of a new person: a shorter Hylian with a mass of long red hair falling to his sides. He shares the same blue eyes, which continue to stare at the princess for a moment or two in thought. Still alarmed, regardless, Zelda hurriedly scoots back from the figure before returning the gesture with locked eyes.
"You're… like me." His eyes trail to her left arm as he mumbles his words. Zelda looks down to it as well, recalling the clash both lines of her ancestors have over her appearance. It shows even in her ears, which are large and aligned with her hair. With this shared understanding out of the way, the young man suddenly offers a hand to her to help her up. This is certainly an unexpected shift, but the princess would rather accept it over the fight that was seconds away from breaking out. Although hesitant, she slowly places her hand in his own. Less than a second follows before he pulls her up into a stand, then finding he has to now look up to the girl instead. "...you aren't a monster, then."
"Did you… think I was?" Zelda tilts her head, her long ears angling downward slightly. The boy simply shrugs. Perhaps he did, but perhaps he just didn't take the time to properly look at her. It has been years since he's really seen a monster. "...The Imprisoning War has been over for… for over a decade. There haven't been monsters since. How long have you…–?" The boy simply turns around, suddenly beginning to lead her off. "Hey–! What are you doing?"
He glances back for a second, blankly staring again. The young man subtly points ahead of him, but realizes this is not a sufficient answer for the princess. It takes him a while before he eventually decides to give a verbal answer, "...You're going to the head of the river."
Zelda seems slightly surprised that he knows this, but she supposes he must have noticed her following the river. She nods. For him to have attacked her like that initially… Did he aim to protect it? If he is the only one left in these woods, he must have. Such a thought leaves the returning bitterness in her chest. She pities this boy, understanding quickly that both have been barred away– forbidden by fate to have the peaceful lives that they were owed as youth. Deciding they have this common ground, she speaks, "My name is Princess Zelda of Hyrule, daughter of King Rauru and Queen Sonia."
"..." The boy peers back, looking incredibly disturbed by the length of that title. It's clear he tries to brush it off, although he knows his own name is rather bland in comparison, "...Link."
"Link… That does sound familiar…" The princess thinks aloud, finding her gaze wandering back down to his arm. Within the mysterious Zonai form he took, his arms glistened with an eerily recognisable power. It looked similar to her own, but far more decorated. It… reminds her of someone.
As Link leads Zelda over ruin– unintentionally nearly tripping her a time or two– he pulls her along until they reach a split in the river. The Dracozu ends in a pond that jaggedly takes two routes, presenting itself like a set of open jaws. The girl's initial thought is that this is what Link meant by the "head," yet her mind easily changes upon seeing the Great Dragon Head statue casting a shadow upon them both.
"This must be it. The Spring of Courage." Taking a step towards it, the princess focuses on the statue visible within the dragon's mouth. It sits, overlooking the spring, as countless durians oddly float around it upon the water's surface. The statue of Hylia wears a mask of its own: one that imitates the dragon-like face of the figures outside. She decides not to question this fact, for now, simply entering the forsaken yet sacred ground. Link's footsteps are more than audible following behind, which is rather expected. "Link–" The girl turns her head back to the peculiar stranger, "Thank you." Zelda is about to say more, but her words come to a sudden halt. Although their encounter was certainly strange enough, she could have sworn that the eyes of his mask… moved. This is the final detail it takes for her to redirect the course of her words. The princess takes a deep breath, then makes her decision: "There is something I must do here, but… Link, once I am done, may I speak to you for a while longer?"
Thank you for reading! Check out the first concept doodles of them here! Obviously, this is all very incomplete; but most is planned out thoroughly! If you have questions, just ask!

To add to my thoughts that Sonia and Raura are only the first queen and king of this iteration of Hyrule (since kingdoms rise and fall so Hyrule is no different), botw/totk is so far ahead that little to none is known about the previous heroes. The one that is most known is the one from 10k years ago, which is still hardly known about.
BUT we did see snippets here and there of previous heroes' eras. Like Zelda's speech, or the naming of certain areas. My little headcanon for this is that at some point (long before even Raura and Sonia become the first king and queen), something caused the three timelines crash together leaving behind a devastated and confused Hyrule. Like imagine the three timelines, which have long since become quite different from each other, suddenly being smashed together. It'd be why the land and places exist but not where they should've been based on previous eras. It'd be why nothing is really known about previous heroes outside of finding armour pieces in random places and the vague myth that there was a long history of heroes.

Idk if you still do headcanon requests, but could you do bits of the SFW Alphabet for Ganondorf (mostly Im asking about this with TOTK Ganondorf in mind, but it can be any Ganondorf because they’re all great).
Letters I had in mind are A, C, D, G, H, I, J, K, S, and L if that’s ok. If it’s too many that’s also completely fine. (Unrelated but the nsfw Ganondorf headcanons you posted are part of the inspiration I got to make my own zonai oc and then ship her w the demon king)
Totally okay! Sorry this took so long! I was also thinking of TotK!Ganondorf for this so same brain!
And did you say your own Zonai oc?! You simply must show me, I'd love to see! SFW Template taken from this post here:
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
He's a moderately affectionate person. But the catch is - only with you and in small ways. What I mean by that is he'll remember things like the kind of flower you like or your favorite color and show in different ways that he's committed to memory those pieces of information. While not against public bigger displays of affection, he reserves them more for when you're in private, not because he doesn't want to - but those kinds of gestures he feels are ones only you deserve to see and have. Smaller signs of affection may include kissing your knuckles or resting his hand on your back lightly when close to you.
C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)
He's not opposed to it! Though he may not admit it outright, he enjoys embracing you more than he lets on lol. His preferred way of holding you is by spooning, with arm draped around your waist and his legs tangled up in yours. It keeps you safe and secure in his arms.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
At some point, yes, that is the goal Ganondorf wants to strive for: a spouse to rule alongside his status as king at the Gerudo throne. I will say though, he definitely gets his fair share in of laying with others before he gets to that point. Though it is treated more as learning experiences for him so as to be able to please his partner. Ganondorf is actually not a bad cook at all. He's not particular with what he eats exactly, but the man likes his food well-seasoned, and sometimes you just have to make the food yourself to the tastes that you'd prefer. He's personally cleanly, but I honestly don't think he cleans himself, no. He does take advantage of some of the perks of being chief, you know?
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
There's a yes and no to this answer. Looking at him you wouldn't think that he's capable of a more benign demeanor, but I assure you - his upbringing has given him space for being more than just a conqueror and a warrior. Physically there is always a time and a place for when weapon wielded hands are meant to provide comfort and reassurance. Emotionally is a little tougher, while he knows there are instances where he should be, can be kinder, being the only male sets a heavy expectation on him - to be strong, to be tough, to be a provider. He knows his heart should be more open for you in that sense - but an open heart lays the ground work for weakness, and as chief he feels he can't be weak when he has a whole society to protect.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
He likes them - but they are few and far between. When Ganondorf hugs you though, it's more like a protective hold. Very safe, very secure. Still tender! But you get this feeling of security in his arms. He's largely muscular and huge in comparison to you, so when his arms come around you, they kind of literally engulf you. He can lift you into his arms during these hugs without issue too.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
Haha...so my headcanon with Ganondorf is he won't say those words outright unless it's in passion or under distress. More often than not he'll either imply it by action or through a different way of saying it. Like for example, you tell him 'I love you' and he'll say something along the lines of life, 'You give meaning to my days, my love'. Something like that - substantial enough to imply your importance in his heart - but never quite 'I love you'.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
Oooooooh I go 50/50 on this. He's not inherently a jealous person - who would be? He's a king, has the physique of a god and is an accomplished warrior - but should you laugh a little too hard with someone else or if someone else tries to pull your attentions away from Ganondorf more than is necessary, well let's just say Ganondorf is not necessarily fond of that. It honestly doesn't even take much to keep the person at a more appropriate distance from you either, the man need only give them a stern look - that often tends to be enough to shake most.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
Depends on the type of kiss! The Gerudo chief is capable of light kisses, like on your hand or your shoulder. Or more passionate kisses like your lips. His favorite sfw place to kiss you is probably your shoulder blade. It's just intimate enough to be a show of affection but also not inappropriate to do out in public. On him however, Ganondorf, when not being kissed on the lips actually likes being kissed on his forehead. There's a lot of power in one's third eye, and he considers it a high form of endearment when you place loving kisses there. Almost feels like a blessing to him, you know?
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
Stern, but sympathetic. Ganondorf can be hardass toward children that require some discipline (for their own good - like kids who are jumping off of several flights of stone steps, knowing they can hurt themselves but do it anyway for fun? Those kind of kiddos), but he is not without a heart. Children who require nurturing or guidance are not without a genuine father-figure should they find themselves in his care.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
Should you prove yourself capable, whether it be a fighter, scholar, what have you - he's protective to only the extent that you'd need him. You have a weapon's master and sorcerer on your arm, there isn't a single thing he can't use to protect you, thankfully. As for protecting him, you'll find he most likely won't need it. Though should you try to protect him - deep down he'll find it admirable. Just don't get hurt or it'll turn into a lecture on your safety.
