cTommy kept the compass in a chest he was too scared of his last connection to cTubbo being broken. Tommy tried to burn the compass he TRIED and he COULDNT he could not make himself let go of it he could not make himself let go of Tubbo even though he so badly wanted to hate him he couldn't. He HALLUCINATED that Tubbo was coming to see him Tommy missed Tubbo so bad and was being so badly abused that he conjured an image of him and it brought Tommy absolutely no comfort. Ghostbur who is the remnants of the person besides Tubbo who knew Tommy best was well aware that Tubbo means everything to him. He played Tubbos favorite music disc and said "music is like a person but they're not here." He was staring at a photo of himself with Tubbo when he decided not to end it and came down from the tower safely

“This is fucking shit,” Tommy announces, “let’s go home.”

Dream looks up, dismayed. He’s been following a crab along the beach in fascination for twenty minutes: in that time, Tommy had built a sandcastle— fuck that, a sand kingdom, only to lose it all when the tide had crashed over it.

“Tommy,” Dream says, “we just got here.”

“This isn’t even a real beach.” Tommy scowls at the pebbly, lumpy beach. The pebbly, lumpy beach scowls back. “It’s all stone-y, man. It’s stoned. Like a stoner. This beach does drugs, Dream. And I’m an impressionable young man. What would my mother say?”

“I don’t know. Let me ask her when I see her tonight.”

There’s a starfish stuck to Dream’s leg. Tommy wonders if it even knows what’s happening when he shoves at Dream, making the older man stumble with a protest. Does the starfish even know it’s stuck to the most insufferable person Tommy know? Does it understand that it’s picked a side of evil? “You’re a sick man,” Tommy tells him, “and I’m cold. Let’s go back. Look, we can grab fish on the way, and then head home.”

Dream straightens from gently detaching the starfish from his leg, brows furrowing. “You’re so weird,” he says, “why don’t you like the beach?”

Tommy pauses.

Is that what it is?

Is it the beach making his muscles ache? The fresh sea air turning his stomach, burdened thick with memories that slosh in his mind nauseatingly, memories he can’t quite grab onto? Is that why he feels building dread when he stares out at the endless ocean, dread that he’s stuck out here, dread that he won’t ever get home again?

Does he hate the beach? Is that why the sand sticking to his legs makes him lurch like a child learning how to walk, and why the cold breeze feels cruel against his cheeks? Is it just hate? Dislike? Why does he feel like there’s something bad about this place?

“Hey.” Dream is in front of him, face fallen. “Tommy?”

“Don’t.” The word leeches from his throat before he can stop it. He sounds pathetic. “Give me a fuckin’ minute, man.”

And his friend does. He stops and waits, sits beside Tommy when his legs give out, and doesn’t ask any questions. Tommy’s chest heaves up and down with the bitter stench of abandonment, and the waves lap at his heels in mean mimicry.

…Abandonment..?

“You good?” Again, it’s Dream that breaks the silence that’s beginning to tower around them. “Hey. What was that?”

Tommy swallows, feeling small.

“I told you,” he mutters, “I hate the beach.”

…Had he always?

Dream pauses for a moment, and then gets to his feet. He turns, offering the other a hand up.

“Let’s go home,” he offers.

And Tommy takes it with a twisted smile, and leaves behind the beach and memories of a worse life.

Again, can’t remember who’s it was. But there was a post about Exile and Twitch Prime religion. In the original stream where c!Prime boys were building the church, one of the rules they put in place was that you couldn’t give you armor or equipment up to anyone(paraphrasing), so technically, c!Dream made c!Tommy commit some kind of blasphemy and how it was such a way to break someone down.

“I’ll make you unholy, then make you holy again.”

And, once again, I was never ever the same.

also as a cinniter i am vindicated and done well by the discussion of exile.

For the first time in nearly 2 years we have confirmation of what we've literally been saying. That c!Dream canonically hit and hurt and abused c!Tommy in exile, and destroyed his stuff. He even emphasizes the "see how my goals were basic" because he did not have any more goals as he said as his "hope faded day by day". And that the tower was intended to be him killing himself. And we have another character, c!Wilbur, believe him despite his initial doubts (ie did you deserve it?) and then imagine literally killing c!Dream for what he's done.

It's important to see this, i think.

Whumptober2022- Surrender

It’s not fair that Tommy has to practically drag himself through the mud, Ghostbur notes, hovering slightly beside where Tommy was now mired down almost to his knees.

“You know it would really help me out if you would…” Tommy muttered, before pausing. “Wait, no. You’re a ghost. Dream!” The teen called out, wiping his muddy hands on his shirt.

Dream, already several yards ahead of them, turned around. Not even his mask could hide the grumpiness on his face.

I bet he doesn’t like the mud either. Ghostbur thought, watching as Dream sighed heavily and stomped back towards the struggling teenager.

“Tommy, we have been moving at a snail’s pace all afternoon. The sun is going to set soon, and unless you want mobs eating you alive, I’d suggest you-”

“I’m stuck.”

An awkward silence followed, long enough for Ghostbur to feel a giant sneeze coming. He tucked his head into his ghostly elbow in preparation as his nose seized up, but no sneeze came and the feeling annoyingly faded.

“You are such an idiot.” Dream scoffed, although he did move closer to Tommy, extending a hand outward.

“M’ not an idiot. The mud’s really thick. And cold.” Tommy grumbled. Experimentally, Ghostbur stuck a see-through finger into the mud, disappointed when he felt nothing. Then again, he should have expected that. He was a ghost after all.

Tommy was exhausted the rest of the way, occasionally he would fall and Ghostbur would float over, cheering him on while Tommy would groan and push himself up again.

It was either that, or get nudged in the chest by Dream. Hard.

Dream SMP High School Drama AU POG?!?!?!

Background idea:

Dream Team are like,,,, the student council for a high school in Utah (yes, Utah), and basically, Tommy comes and causes havoc, Dream steals his discs, and suspends him for causing a bit too much trouble, and there's a full blown school war when Tommy gets outta fuckin' suspension (school wars = multiple food fights + fucking tryna kill eachother at dances + rap battle shit)

Tommy then wins the war via winning a game of uno and trading his tamagotchi for the discs with Dream, Wilbur wanted to monopolize selling literal water bottles here (Drug empire shit), L'manberg arc is basically trying to overthrow the dteam student council, the final control room was Eret starting off a food fight, the Tommy and Dream duel was them fighting with Pokémon cards.

After Tommy lost and gave the discs to dteam, they decided to make L'manberg the new student council, which made Wilbur president and everything was well and dandy until election arc comes.

Election arc was just fuckin everyone running for student council president, Quackity and Schlatt still did the merging votes thing and they won, but Schlatt was overall a worse president than Wilbur.

Festival happened, but Tubbo was basically just beaten up by Techno (dw the nurse did everything, also Techno didn't get suspended or some shit).

Pogtopia was basically Pogtopia, Wilbur goes insane over just a couple school drama (Tommy tries to tell him it was just petty school drama), but yeah, a final school war goes on and Techno summoning wither skulls was just them fighting shit in Minecraft.

Wilbur prepared ACTUAL FUCKING explosives (yes, he is basically J.D here), Phil appears, he pushes the button anyways, and the entire cafeteria was just imploded (dw no one was hurt).

Wilbur actually voluntarily gets suspended from school grounds indefinetly, this spreads all over the news and gets named the "POGTOPIA INCIDENT OF 2020"

Wilbur, George, Techno, Phil, Callahan, and Alyssa all graduate school.

Season 2 timeeeeee

Afterwards, everyone then makes Tubbo school president, making New L'manberg, Ghostbur = Wilbur sending letters from college, since he graduated in season 1.

The entire exile incident was Tommy tearing George's notebook + stealing some of George's stuff + committing a bit of arson with Ranboo (he just transferred here) and Tubbo suspends Tommy indefinetly and Dream is assigned to keep an eye on him.

While Tommy was in exile, Technoblade's execution was the butcher army beating him up, Techno scars Quackity, yadayadayada. (ALSO ALL THIS HAPPENED IN TECHNO'S APARTMENT)

In "exile", Dream hits Tommy with the manipulation a bit TOO hard and Tommy attempts suuui... ummmmm unaliving himself... yeah, unaliving himself, turns out, he survives the entire fucking thing.

Doomsday happened, and ACTUAL explosives were rigged again (yes, everyone is still under 21, so it's fuckin' illegal), and both the cafeteria and school hall were blown up, no one was hurt still, and everyone involved with Doomsday were college students except for Dream, so, no one got suspended or got detention.

The disc confrontation was basically everyone in the school hall tryna suspend Dream from school grounds so uhhhh, that worked I guess...

Dream, Sapnap, Bad, Skeppy, Ant, Punz, H, Quackity, and Foolish all graduate school.

This stream means so so much to me, the fact that c!Tommy talked about 3xile with c!Wilbur, the fact that c!Wilbur fucking understood and from this moment on fucking hates c!dream to his core, the fact that c!Wilbur cares and, most importantly, the fact that c!Tommy is now actually technically able to heal. I cannot even begin to express how fucking much this means to me. This stream is bittersweet. I can't begin to explain how much it means to me that c!Tommy is able to heal, that c!Wilbur cares and that c!Tommy talked about 3xile. I can go on and on about how good the planning was, how good the acting was, how good the plot was, but I can't put the relief into words that I felt when c!Wilbur said 'You're free'. c!Tommy means sm to me, it's unreal. He has such a fragile heart, he's such a fragile boy, but maybe just maybe, he's now finally able to heal.

with the new confirmed info: of course c!dream wanted c!tommy on his side, if his goal is to reunite the server again. if c!tommy sided with him after being broken down in exile, he’d have a better chance at actually reuniting the server — c!tommy is popular, c!dream is ruthless, and if c!tommy listened to him in a successful exile au, then the initial plan to reunite the server* might have worked after all

Some time during Exile, c!Tommy encountered a family of ducks walking by through the woods. He almost burst into tears when the duckling in the back tripped on a small twig on the ground and the family accidentally left it behind. He chose to leave it there though in case c!Dream happened to show up nearby and do something with it, besides, the family would probably notice and come back for the little thing.

They didn't, about a week later, c!Tommy found the same spot he saw the ducks and found the lil duckling dead on the forest floor, probably due to starvation.

Return of the angst asks!!

Okay so basically Silence and The Sun time!! I was having a Thought and like.... rereading the dead don't dream as you do and anyways:

SATS Tommy but he's also a shapeshifter. Dream forcing Tommy to shift to look like him, and then doing the same to look like Tommy so he can frame it as Tommy being aggressive towards Dream and threatening to kill him.

Just to sew some seeds of doubts in others when the bastard finally gets caught that Tommy's maybe not as innocent as he acts, maybe he's not really 'just' a victim.

Of course, nobody knows about the whole shapeshifting thing except maybe like Wilbur and Techno, but they're preoccupied with their own stuff, like being dead and whatever Techno does in the arctic.

Consolation: we do get bedrock bros in SATS at least.

Saying this part before I read the ask, but I just read "Silence and The Sun Time!!" and immediately went "oh god"

It'd be so much harder to get help, and that alone is something that would make things so, so much worse and more terrifying. That is a really interesting thought

I've seen a lot of posts absolutely bashing ccs on the dsmp for their character choices during lore and I just want to talk about it a little bit. This is going to get kind of long, so buckle in.

As stated above, I've seen a lot of people bashing character choices on the dsmp. Now, it's perfectly okay to say, "I don't agree with what this character did." Because that is a perfectly reasonable reaction to many of the character choices that c!dsmp characters make- they're questionable at best! However, I do think it's wrong to shunt those beliefs onto ccs and start to demand that they change their story or apologize.

During exile, I saw a lot of people get upset at Dream and act like he was genuinely logging on to ab*se Tommy every day. It was a heavy topic, and it was phenomenal acting, a fantastic story. But that's all it was. Dream is just some guy in Florida and Tommy is better than ever, they're friends. But still, people were genuinely upset by it and at Dream specifically.

I also remember a lot of people getting mad at Techno for breaking Dream out of prison or for doomsday, for the pit and Tubbo's execution. Like, not mad at c!Technoblade, but at ACTUAL cc!Technoblade, not wanting him on the dsmp anymore. Like, Techno obviously never supported real t*rrorism, it was just another piece to the story they were all telling. Still, people seemed unable to make that distinction and were genuinely mad at him over a character.

I've seen a LOT of people come at bbh for character choices recently, I think because a lot of them revolve around Tommy. The prime path, their pranks on each other, c!bbh's victim blaming. People keep trying to get cc!bad to take it back or apologize or change his character, and they get upset when he won't do that. Saying that they don't think he should even stream dsmp because they don't like his character (which is kind of funny, tbf, but still).

As a lot of ccs are bringing their stories to an end in preparation for season 2, I see posts like that cropping up again. Mad at Eret for character choices, at Sam, at Tubbo, even saying that they 'don't deserve their characters.'

The ccs on the dsmp are telling a story with their characters. You don't have to like it, or even agree, but you don't have a right to tell them how to tell that story. You have to learn to understand the distinction between what is a character and what is the cc. Dream doesn't support ab*se, nor bbh victim blaming.

All that said, I do have a bit of sympathy because that kind of behavior definitely speaks to someone being younger. I read an interesting discussion on an ff forum a while back about how a lot of this behavior tends to come from younger fans who haven't learned boundaries yet and can't quite comprehend yet that another person's art doesn't have to conform to their own beliefs. But I do think it's a boundary and a respect that a lot of people, (especially, unfortunately, in this fandom), need to learn.

It isn't your story to tell. It isn't your place to demand changes. You can ask, but you can't get upset at the repsonse. Please chill.
