As you might have noticed, this blog hasn't mentioned anything about the war in occupied Palestine yet.

The only reason for this is that I've been busy in real life and I'm going through quite some mental health issues at the moment. Which you might have noticed in the lack of posts as of recently. Which arguably isn't an excuse but here we go:

As much as this is a vampire smut blog, which I don't treat as my personal blog, I can't remain silent about this genocide that is unfolding in occupied Palestine.

I stand with Palestine and the Palestinian people.

In the past month the fascist Israeli government has killed 10000+ Palestinians, of which 4000 were children.

Some might argue that it's complicated, but there is nothing complicated about the situation.

On one side you have people who have been oppressed for over 75 years, half of which are children.

On the other side you have one of the largest military forces on earth backed with billions by the largest military force on earth, which for the record is an imperialist country.

Israel is an apartheid settler's state, waging a genocide on the people of Palestine, it's as simple as that.

It takes a lot of mental gymnastics to get around those facts.

This all does not mean that I condone what Hamas has done, the killing of innocents is always something to condemn. Which is exactly why the west needs to stop helping Israel kill thousands of innocents for the sake of imperialism.

As an antifascist who opposes apartheid, genocide, imperialism, racism and antisemitism something needs to be clear:

Standing with Palestine is not antisemitism, criticizing Israel is not antisemitism. Equating the opposition to zionism with antisemitism is antisemitism in itself.

Don't let anyone tell you anything different.

I want to wish any followers a Happy Chanukah even as my heart aches so much right now.

It's been a very rough school semester to be Jewish and to be Muslim on my campus right now. The spread of ignorance has been so bad that I've had to leave spaces because I actually felt like if someone looked at me and recognized I was Ashkenazi, they might seek to harm me. This is indeed a difficult time where all Jewish hearts are not united, because there is strife being sown in this world by Jewish hands.

Please remember that many Jewish people are weeping at the injustices alongside our Muslim brothers and sisters. In a time of suffering, let us lift one another up and speak out against injustice and cruelty.

I'm only going to say this once because I'm not mentally healthy enough to get into arguments over whether or not I should be alive online.

I am Jewish and not a Zionist. The Israel Gov is committing genocide. Hamas is a terrorist group that's ideals are not reflective of all Palestinians.

The wish of one people to have a homeland can in no way take away the right for another group of people to live peacefully in theirs.

In the perfect world the Jewish people would be safe everywhere AND we cannot steal from another group to get that.

Hey guys, this is a serious topic on my silly PB blog but because of how my blog is branded it's something I need to talk about.

Starbucks has been lobbying on the side of Israel to kill Palestinians which is something I do not support and have been boycotting Starbucks. With my blog and brand literally being called Solbucks, I've been debating changing the name to something else to stand as far away from Starbucks as possible.

I am mostly wondering if any of you think the name needs to be changed, and if so do you guys have any suggestions?

While we whitness the Palestinian Genocide and while human lives always come first, I want to tell you all to remember to archive and document EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING YOU CAN ABOUT THIS GENOCIDE.

This is a major historical event and we need to be documenting and saving as much information as we can about this time period we are living in. We need to make sure to be clipping newspapers, archiving links and printing out those lists of names of those who have died…EVERYTHING. Yes printing as in PHYSICAL COPIES TOO! You never know what’s going to happen to the internet, so be sure to be saving things in a physical way too.

Why is archiving all this so important? To make sure none of what’s happening in Palestine and what’s been happening there for the last 70+ years can never happen anywhere else again. To make sure people in the future know the crimes Israel has committed and remembers those lost to their acts.

So, please keep going to protests, boycotting what you can and anything else that gets us closer to a free Palestine, but also don’t forget to archive what you can when you can.

It's not like I've ever seen anyone here have any filter for what political messages they reblog, people just see someone talk about a situation in a way that makes them feel like they know who the villain is and press reblog, without question or applying any prior knowledge to their interpretation, especially if it's something that doesn't affect them personally, and especially if it goes against what they think most people believe so they can stick it to the man and feel like they know better. It's not something new and I usually don't hold it against anyone, I'm definitely guilty of it myself, but man does it feel more pervasive than ever now that every 5th post is taking a very confident stance on a war they only know from news and social media, all saying the same thing, enraged that anyone would ever claim otherwise. And it never hit so close to home for me, it was always someone else's problem for me too, someone I didn't know, but this time I got to spend a day wondering if a loved one was still alive, this time I get to be careful in public so I don't get killed for someone else's crimes.

Can we just all (myself included) think a little more, do a little more research before we decide what nuance does or does not exist? I promise you that you're not obligated to post about everything, you're not obligated to have an opinion on everything, and I promise you are going to be wrong sometimes.
