For her, this is LITERALLY a life or death situation. She ended up at the shelter after her owners dumped her to die. She recently began peeing outside of the litter box and the vet diagnosed her not only with a UTI but also severe liver failure. Flash has been hospitalized. She is receiving lots of fluids, medications and force feeding (she is too sick to eat on her own right now). The doctor feels like she has a good prognosis if we are aggressive with her treatment and keep her hospitalized. It’s possible it could take up to a week to stabilize her. We are currently almost $3000 in debt for her treatment. Hospitalizations are EXTREMELY expensive but Flash is worth it!!🙏 Flash is only 5 and has a long life ahead of her. When we visit her, she looks into our eyes begging for help. She purrs when we pet her and she has a very strong will to live. This SWEET older gentleman is calm and quiet, and loves being pet. He will lean into your hand, purring for chin scratches and to have his head stroked. Romeo came in to the shelter on DEC 8th, as a stray in desperate need of extra TLC! Romeo seemed relieved for human kindness and attention, allowing staff to clean him from head to toe while he enjoyed a meal. He has a healthy appetite, but is much too skinny- just 6 lbs- and is receiving extra feedings and care in our ‘kitty hospital.’ What 12 year old Romeo really needs is a home to regain his health ASAP.
