Vax

You need your bow restrung? Here let me do it for you. Oh, you are cold? Take my spare cloak, please, I insist. Lest you catch your death. Vax prefers to have you near his vicinity so he can reach you should something happen. His hand brushes against yours as you pass one another. His chest pressing against your back so he can reach something on the top shelf for you. His nose runs along the column of your throat. A common phrase he said to Vex soon became one he said to you as well. Do not go far from me.

Vex

Offering her hand to help you down a rocky hillside or up the steep slope of a mountain. Instructing Trinket to keep a close eye on you, and as best boi, he does. She gives you soft forehead kisses when you're fast asleep, damn-near chokes when you crack an eye open to smirk smugly up at her. Gives you a bit of the cold shoulder after but it's only because she is so heckin' embarrassed and needs some time to cutely and stubbornly pout.

Keyleth

Did you get enough to eat? Want some more bread or stew? She doesn't mind taking the first watch if you're still tired, the group would benefit from you being well-rested. Huh? No, she definitely wasn't admiring you while you slept, that's insane.

Percy

Subtle touches. His hand at the small of your back or on your waist. He never strays far from your side nor you his. Leaning his head on your shoulder for a quick nap, feeling safe to rest his form against yours. Pressing a quick kiss to your hand when you need to part ways for a bit, it causes everyone else to groan, but he needs to do it. Just in case. No matter what, Percy needs you to know you have his entire heart.

Grog

Picking you up and spinning you around every time he sees you. Always wanting to sit by you at dinner or have his bedroll near yours. Picking you up and out of the way of danger. Carries you and Pike on his back easy-peasy! Excitedly waits for you to wake up every morning, oftentimes he's leaning over your face. You bump heads every time, but Grog still follows this ritual as long as he's awake before you. He hopes you'll do it for him next time!

Pike

Always healing your injuries no matter how minor. She hates seeing you in pain. She tries not to pick favorites when it comes to healing but if you're the closest to her when others on the team are downed, she's gonna pick you first. Pike's gotten better with going for the most-critically injured now! Loves to give big, warm hugs where you two spin each other around. The hugs linger longer when no one else is around. A heartbeat and your lips almost brush, causing her cheeks to light up a bright pink.

Scanlan

Gentle hand-holds lack his former suave flirtatiousness and instead are replaced with nervous, almost shy glances and soft reassurances. Frequent check-ins when you are injured, if there is anything he can do or get for you. Shiny pale blue puppy dog eyes making sure you are always safe. He brings you little wildflowers he collects, always writing new songs he isn't sure that he intends to sing. Buys you little tokens and jewelry that suit your taste as long as he can swing it.

Bonus:

Trinket

Gentle pokes with his cold nose and soft huffs against your cheek, this sweet bear will nuzzle his face into your tummy. Often times plops down beside you in an upright sitting position. You're his favorite after Vex. ♡

Reader plays with VM's Hair

Percy isn't quite sure how to respond when your fingers brush through his short hair, pushing it back out of his face. He tenses up for a moment, not used to something so tender. But when your fingertips drag across his scalp he relaxes, leaning back into your touch.

Vax is very happy the first time you touch his hair, twisting it around your fingers in an attempt to make it curl. The first time you braid it catches him off guard but he loves it, not taking his hair out of the braid until you want to brush it again (it's a curly mess).

Vex is a bit more hesitant at first. She likes to have her hair exactly where she puts it, so your gentle touch is almost unwelcome at first but she relents, because it's you. You gently brush her hair, humming a song your mother used to sing to you, and nobody dares disturb you. For once, Vex almost seems at peace.

Pike loved when you started to play with her hair. She loves the way your fingers drag across her scalp, almost as though you're trying to massage the tension away. She will always, always, make time for it after a mission.

Scanlan is surprisingly iffy about other people touching his hair. So when you do it for the first time, it takes a lot for him not to flinch away from you. After a while of you gently running your fingers through his hair on a morning, he settles into the new routine.

Keyleth is so happy when you start to play with her hair. She leans into your hand immediately, silently giving permission for you to do what you pleased. You twist it round your fingers, braid parts of it, brush it through, twist sections up into buns. It's a fun way for you to relax together.

I am so sorry to everyone following me for other fandoms right now, My brain is full of tlovm content and it is all I am writing -Finn

Percy

Percy also struggles with falling asleep alone due to frequent nightmares, so this arrangement suits you both.

He sleeps with his arms wrapped around your waist to keep you close to his chest. It lets him know that you're both safe.

If there are any other things that tend to help with the pain, he'll try to add them to the nightly routine. He enjoys having a specific routine before getting to bed, and adding steps that make it easier for you to get to sleep makes sense.

If you wake up in the middle of the night, he's a fairly light sleeper and will likely wake up as well. He doesn't complain though, only does his best to help you fall asleep again.

He is too stubborn to wake you up when nightmares wake him though. He's a hypocrite about it.

Vax

Vax loves sharing a bed with you but he can be awful to sleep with. He's all long limbs and he spreads out in his sleep to take up the entire bed. He also runs cold and piles on blankets.

He will do his best for you though, even if it's difficult to keep everything under control in his sleep.

The most effective strategy is usually tangling his legs with yours and falling asleep looking at you. He's more curled up, and he falls asleep smiling.

He is good with his hands, it's part of his class. So this man gives master-class massages. If that is able to ease your pain, take advantage of it. If it doesn't? Still take advantage of it.

You can't love one twin without being close to the other. Don't be surprised when Vex falls asleep in the same room after Vex does something stupid in a fight.

Vex

Vexhalia is a big cuddler. It doesn't matter how cool and composed she is during the day, at night she is used to having someone to cling to and If you're in the bed with her, you will not escape it.

She tends to either lay on your chest or have you lay on hers. It means you guys are about as close as can be and she can play with your hair as you fall asleep.

If you leave too much extra space on the bed, Trinket will take it as an invitation. Vex is bad at discouraging this. Trinket does function like a space heater though, so he's very helpful on cold nights.

On bad nights, when you can't get to sleep even with her there, she will stay up with you and chat as she holds you. Even if she can't help with the pain, she isn't going to leave you to deal with it alone.

Vex really enjoys having a stupidly large bed because she is used to people pushing their way in. After a particularly harrowing adventure, you may find Vax and Trinket both there. It's just part of sleeping in her room.

Vox Machina + Valentine’s Day

Percy De Rolo

Finds the whole holiday rather frivolous.

A whole day just to coo and moon eye at each other? Seems completely wasted.

But, he is a man of tradition. And traditions must be followed.

The obvious choice is jewelry. Something clean and elegant.

Or, if he was getting more in tune with the spirit of the whole thing, a music box. Hand crafted of his own design to play your song.

Vex

Incredibly flirty any other day of the week, so be prepared for it to be ten-fold.

Her mission in life for the day is to tease, taunt, and tempt her lover all day with her wiles.

Of which there are many.

The entire day would be like foreplay. Culminating in an almost violent passion of love making; followed by many other more gentle bouts.

Her gift would be an ornate arrow that she had carved out of one of her bolts, as a symbol of the cupid’s arrow that had struck her heart for you.

Scanlan

Never was a day more made for Scanlan.

Aside from being hopelessly addicted to ‘love’, Valentine’s day is a bard’s bread & butter.

A lot of coin to be made sing sweet songs to love struck couples.

He’d invite you to the inn he was playing at and dedicate a special song to you. One he wrote of course.

The rest of the evening is yours, where he’ll be at your mercy, for all the toe curling fun the two of you can cook up.

Vax

Genuinely forgets about the holiday. But he’s so suave that he plays it off like he hasn’t.

He forgot because he’s terrible with dates & holidays. Not that he doesn’t love you.

Vax thinks about you all the time, so one day out of the year didn’t even register to him.

Rattles off some silver-tongued lie about a surprise he had in store for you. One he is clearly making up as he goes along.

It works out in the end as he led you on some far fetched journey to the top of hill or tower, where he presents you with some night blooming flower he had snatched long the way (like he planned it).

Keyleth

Oh….our poor little turtle duck….

Extremely confident in the planning phase, but looses her nerve as the day comes around and she has to ask you to be her Valentine.

Wastes most of the day running away, or darting around corners, or babbling on as she can’t get her words out.

Eventually, she does. In true Keyleth earnestness.

Gives you a potted plant she grew on her own, and enchanted to always thrive & bloom. Like her feelings for you.

Pike

Happy to just be around you. No matter what day it is.

Pike loves her friends but they can be….a bit much. So a day with just the two of you would be wonderful.

Would like to, for once, do tourist-y things around the town your staying at. She never gets the chance.

Take a break to make a small offering to the Everlight for her loving comfort and her continued protection of you.

Makes a small cake for the two of you to share while you’re out. Grog was the official taste tester.

Grog

Has zero idea what Valentine’s day is.

He doesn’t get it. Doesn’t get what it’s about. Doesn’t get why this is a holiday.

Aren’t you supposed to tell someone you love them all the time? Are you supposed to be around them all the time too if you love ‘em?

Tries to play along, but is really a disaster at stuff like this.

Gives you a big bear hug and takes you out drinking. If your going to celebrate there’s no better way to do it than with ale!

Nobody really quite KNOWS what you are, but they know you're part.

Referencing to the title, Percy has said he thinks your part titan, but due to advancements, there is no way to know for sure.

Because of that, Vox Machina had become known for having a "Temper Titan."

It's kind of embarrassing, at first when you heard of it, but you are pretty terrifying when you're mad.

Much like King and other titans, when you stomp or yell, the ground shakes and often things that should be strong enough to be stable such as a boulder, break.

Vox Machina also calls you this… but.. at least they accept you?

Anger issues goes crazy as a titan. you're real sensitive, but you can often end up sad instead of angry when they try to wind you up mid-battle.

Scanlan often tries to make fun of you during a battle but instead he just tugs on your strings and makes you cry.

A little upsetting when it happens, and you end up not talking to Scanlan for a while.

He was MEANNN man.

Of course, your cries are just as powerful if not more powerful than your stomps and yells.

he likes to pretend you couldn't drag him with and without magic

Sadly, when you do have a temper, Keyleth can feel it through her plants.

Its a downside, so when you're going nuts, Keyleth is down and coping with the fact the ground and plants are in pain.

its also a battle field issue a lot.. thankfully Scanlan's bard magic can always lift them up, but, it makes them a big, chunky target.

You being a little kid they don't want to be up too long without you.

Percy is especially careful about this.

Vex and Vax on the other hand could not care LESS.

swim or drown in their little world.

Keyleth scolds them about their carelessness for you, but when it comes down to it, they are the first ones to dive in and save you.

Vax especially.

They both see you as a younger sibling.

They try to keep your temper under control, but it doesn't work out sometimes, and you guys end up having to run away while in public

Vax buys you literally anything you want and its crazy..

its not even because he doesn't want you to be mad, its because he wants you to have what he didn't in his childhood, but Vex has a different view, and still wants you to grow up and be a responsible person.

she often likes to take you out to nature just because

her connection to it makes her feel you have one too because they all think(know) you're a titan.

its really nice because you'll literally just lay there and you'll feel vines and grass growing around you comfortingly

Note(s): This is really interesting. Especially since Bhaal isn't in the CR pantheon so I'm going to make it like Bhaal is some lesser known God for this universe.

Also it wasn't specified if anon was asking for only LoVM stuff so there are some references to the first Campaign (and some events prior to the campaign)

Keyleth

Will have a million questions for you because she's never heard of Bhaal. And the more you answer, the more she completely understands why you left.

Keyleth knows you must have a lot of guilt and baggage from your past. She'll take your hands in hers and tell you that she loves you and that you're safe with her.

Might ask about some of your murders either out of curiosity or if you want to just talk about it. She'll tell you about all the children she's accidentally killed and the old people that sometimes-accidentally got killed. Might need a mutual cry session.

Pike

Pauses a bit when you mentioned you used to follow Bhaal. Her religion skills kick in and she stares at you wide eyed. I mean, Bhaal?! Sure, he's not as well-known as other Betrayer Gods, but damn that's a shock.

Is glad that you don't follow him now. If you did then that'd change things. But you haven't hurt her or any of her friends. And she kind of has a committed relationship with you so I guess you're stuck with her still!

Seriously, S/O, if you're feeling guilty or if you're scared of how things will be now that she knows then don't. She loves you and yeah, your past is filled with blood, but let her fill your future with love instead.

Vex

Doesn't really know who Bhaal is. Maybe she's heard the name during her travels. But you'll have to explain to her a bit. I mean, the guy must be a shithead if you left him.

Definitely thinks he's a shithead once you've told her. But honestly, it doesn't change anything once you've laid out your past to her. Sure, she might tease you a bit now and then like, "Good thing we need to kill some bad guys, you should be used to it!" things like that.

I mean, she was kind of friends with a Paladin of Tiamat so the fact you used to be loyal to a murder god just goes on the list of morally questionable shit she's had to deal with.

Vex

Vex always knew that the lights were not all on upstairs, and she knew it would bite the entirety of Vox Machina in the ass.

The first night she really realised how extreme your lack of common sense is, has you pitted against two half-orcs with some ties to some big thing in Wildemount (you didn’t quite catch whatever it was they said), two against one and with both your opponents skilled and highly trained fighters the outcome was plainly inevitable.

So now here you sit, slumped over a chair, Vex rubbing your back soothingly her deft hands easing your breathing as you recover from being winded, a fierce punch to your stomach having completely squished the air from your lungs and was that pain in your side a broken rib?

That's the first time Vex really notices. But now she knows how your mind works or perhaps doesn't work, she just sits and waits for you to fuck up enough to call to her for help or to fall onto the stool next to hers.

After ANOTHER repeat of your shenanigans, she ends up recruiting Vax to aid her in carrying your exhausted and very passed out body up the stairs of the parties tavern of choice and getting you situated on a bed.

Vex opts for the windowsill. She always does when this happens. Letting you take the bed to hopefully help in the recovery process and lessen the effects of tomorrow’s guaranteed hangover.

Sleep doesn't come easy as Vex jolts up at every unconscious groan that escapes your lips as you turn in your sleep and pain popping up due to the movement. You dumbass, of course you wouldn’t win. Complete dim-wit, her dim-wit.

Keyleth

Looking on at the mess that you had managed to create in the kitchen of Greyskull Keep was exactly when her suspicions were confirmed. Suspicions may not be the right way to describe it, despite how much has flown over her head in the past Keyleth was nearly certain that you were as reckless as… well something that was big and reckless and maybe just a little bit idiotic.

And the penny finally dropped in her mind.

She has often tried and failed to hold you back from a fight after someone (usually some pretentious elven dickbag) bad-mouths her in the street, resulting in a fight that can only be described as completely avoidable.

Keyleth supports as much of your weight as she can when you get knocked out, attempting to get you out of the fray as quickly as possible, but she can barely drag the two of you behind a crate in a side alley.

You can almost always count on coming back to consciousness while Keyleth is doing her best to stop the swelling on your eye and trying to make sure your not bleeding internally.

She is so goddamn concerned for you, please stop scaring her like this.

Pike

At this point Pike accepts that anytime you head out for a day of merrymaking (aka getting fucking black-out drunk in a tavern or two) she’s gonna be exhausted and have no spells left before you even get to sundown.

When you go unconscious, which is only inevitable, Pike always beelines towards you regardless of what is going on around her. Ignoring or brushing off any hits she may get in the process, she tanks through to get to you as quickly as she possibly can.

Even if she gets down to her last little cure wounds you can be guaranteed that she’ll save those spells for you if she can (much to the dismay of one Scanlan Shorthalt, his grumbles and annoyed mutters of ‘those should be my spells…’

As soon as you’re stabilised and safe-ish, you’re slung over her shoulder and Pike clangs her way through the destruction and chaos of the street-turned battlefield outside the pub, pushing past and far enough away so that you’re safe. Ignoring the shouts of Percy's pained yelps as his pepperbox explodes in his goddamn hands and Minxie doing her best to swipe a giant paw across someone’s torso, Pike always tries to get you outta there if she can.

Avoiding resurrections is of utmost importance when it comes to her sweetheart.

Vox Machina Relationship Headcannons...

I did not check for grammar mistakes, sorry. Also, please do not copy my work in any way, thank you. Enjoy!

A/n: I’ve typed couple so much now it seems really funny and sounds weird now 😂.

Vax:

Are they a couple? couple

-alright, so I kid you not, people have no clue you are a thing until you blatantly tell them.

-Most people don’t even realize you are that close.

-Vex only knows about you two because Vax is her brother. Out of Vox Machina Grog is the only other one that knows you are a couple and Percy just thinks you both have feelings for each other. Scanlan can’t even tell and he knows everything when it comes to the mercenaries' romantic lives.

-You aren’t secretive in your relationship, you are both just far more reserved. Neither of you is huge into PDA and you are both very sneaky.

-it is not hard for the two of you to escape from your friends to be alone together or to flirt in front of others without them recognizing it.

-you both are always next to each other too. No matter if you were fighting, eating, or in a cart you were always at each other’s side.

-Vax absolutely adores you and you feel the same. You are both entirely supportive of one another.

-when you are drunk you both show more affection towards each other. Then again you both show more affection towards everyone. When one of you have had something to drink, that one tends to always be touching the other, whether it’s hand holding, foot nudging, or just leaning on the other.

-your relationship with Vax is revealed to the group when Scanlan and Pike find you both making out in a closet in a pub.

-Pike’s reaction was far less inappropriate than Scanlans which was somewhere along the lines of “I don’t know when this started, but I would love to join.”

-after that Pike just goes pink, scolding Scanlan. You all return to the group.

-when Scanlan reveals what he saw the other two are in shock, while Grog just says, “You didn’t know?”

-“wait, you knew?” Pike questioned.

-“yeah, wasn’t it obvious. They flirt like all the time. Did none of you notice?”

Vex:

Chill couple

-super, super chill. You guys are like the cool couple that everyone thinks is awesome.

-you are both great with nature and your perspective weapons. Vex sticks with her bow, while your weapon of choice is the chain-sickle. However, you tend to stick with knives more often than not because of the clumsy ness of your own group.

-(we’ll skip over the time your weapon wrapped around Scanlan pinning his arms to his side. His comments on that experience were not something Vex liked. Scanlan was scared shitless of your girlfriend for days)

-you both like to spend time talking and bonding while sharpening knives and creating arrowheads.

-Neither if you care for extreme pda. Most of the time you elbow and nudge each other or rest your arm on the other’s shoulders.

-you both enjoy making the other flustered in certain situations. You both never take it too far though. To get her flustered all you have to do is kiss her cheek lightly and lingering, somewhat ghostly and fairly intimately. To get you flustered she grabs your chin with her hand and carefully places her lips on yours for a few seconds.

-The entire group is very supportive of your relationship. Percy and Vax are very supportive. Sometimes Vax and Scanlan make fun of the two of you a little bit because of how close you are.

-you both also like never fight. Really, you don’t get in arguments that much and are typically always on the same page.

-as chill as you both are, Scanlan will make comments that set Vex off. You tend to hold her back and calm her down. Most of the time you just hold her hand and rub circles in her knuckles with your thumb.

-sometimes when you're feeling anxious or bored she’ll let you braid her hair.

-you guys like definitely cuddle up together before bed or when you are just chilling. Sometimes you sit between her legs. Other times you sit behind her off of the ground messing with her hair. Once more, you definitely do the arm over the shoulders. It’s great for whispering to the other.

-also and lastly, you guys have like an infinite amount of inside jokes.

Pike:

Best friends couple

-best friend goals right here. Like you are so romantically and platonically meant for each other.

-people honestly can’t tell if your in a relationship or just friends until someone says it outright or you kiss or something.

-Pike is so sweet and you are too. Pike you and Grog are like the most kind group and Grog loves to get in on hug reunions when you guys haven’t seen each other in a while.

-Pike and you are both very supportive people and it’s really great for the both of you cause at times you both definitely need it.

-no doubt, having you by her side definitely helps with her faith.

-you do not keep anything from one another. Like at all. Whatever one of you knows the other knows too. There is no doubt that she knows everything about you.

-once more you are besties in love. Totally started as friends but wanted more but didn’t want to ruin your friendship. When you both told each other this you definitely laughed it all off. Life partners and partner goals definitely met.

-I cannot explain it, but while Grog is like your guys biggest supporter the close second is definitely Scanlan.

- He is like super close to you. Definitely very good friends and always pushes you and Pike together, even before you were a couple.

-you and Pike like to hold hands and lean your heads against each other.

-pda isn’t huge on your guys front other than that.

-you both definitely get super like crazy when drunk. Combo moves with her magic and singing songs while swaying together.

-Scanlan definitely likes to be held. Total small spoon in my book. After all he needs some comfort and you love being that for him.

Percy:

Inseparable couple (but in a sweet way)

-childhood friends. Went through hell together at Whitestone and both somehow got out.

- definitely spent childhood together with parents knowing you would end up together. They were planning your wedding before you were even ten.

-you both met up after your family had already escaped the town. Percy was devastated and spent days crying, you just held him and brought him food and water and tried to get him to sleep.

-you were devastated about his sister and his family when he told you what happened.

-you guys definitely just somehow ended up romantically involved naturally. After Whitestone you both became inseparable and super affectionate and protective of one another.

-let’s make this known, when he’s going to bed you go to bed with him, when he’s awake you're awake, when he’s stressed you are right beside him and vice Versa.

-you are always there for him, especially when it involves his family.

-you like to watch him make his guns. When he gets too worked up or won’t stop tinkering you take off his glasses. Most of the time afterwards you lead him to your bed. On the rare occasion you grabbed them to joke around he will tickle you for them back like you guys did when you were younger.

-he will make weapons for you and will teach you how too as well if you ask.

-if you ask he will show you hands on, standing behind you, arms in yours, guiding you through everything.

-you will name your weapons together.

-you love to play with his hair, and he loves to hug you. You both take comfort in one another.

-you both like to cuddle when you read, even if the other person isn’t reading, which is great for hugging and hair touching.

-he surprisingly is more PDA prone than others expect. Once more you are inseparable. Will kiss your temple and forehead very often, he loves it and you love it. You like to snuggle your head into his neck. He will spontaneously grab your hand and spin you into him bringing your bodies into direct contact and faces only inches apart. He is super smiley when he does this.

-you always make him smile. It melts your heart every time.

-there are some hard times where either of you has nightmares, which leads to lots of holding and consoling.

-Percy can have anger issues at times especially when it comes to revenge.

-this is the only thing you guys fight about. While you both want all of them dead you are worried of the effects this will have on Percy and how far he is willing to go and how much he is willing to give. You definitely fear that his judgement is compromised at times like these and think that he himself or others might get hurt along the way.

-he tries to stop when he finds you crying in the corner of your room worried sick about him.

-his anger gets the better of him, but when he is reminded of you he cools down like 50%. If he sees you in one of these stages he will be much more careful too.

-after one of these episodes he definitely does not let go of you. He will hold your hand no matter what. He may even hold your one hand with both of his if you guys are walking or something.

Keyleth:

Opposites attract couple

-You met in a tavern

-In fact, it was your good friend Vax that introduced you to the group of mercenaries.

-You had already known Vex since she was Vax’s sister, but the rest of the crew were strangers.

-You quickly took a liking to them. Passing your free time drinking and betting in card games was one of your favorite ways to relax.

-That first night you out drank them all and remained the only one not drunk. It was the fiery red-head that fell to the effects of the alcohol first. She was also the one you took care of the most that night.

-You helped her to bed, tucked her in, and even found yourself tucking a piece of her hair behind her cute pointy ear. You weren’t drunk, just definitely buzzed.

-She quickly realized she liked you, which is why the two of you became a couple so fast. That and Vax trusted you so she knew you were a good person.

-You were a bit slower when it came to coming to terms with your feelings. You always helped her out, complimented her, and protected her.

-When she told you about her feelings you just kissed her. It was a small rushed peck, but it explained all she needed to know. You quickly and awkwardly excused yourself.

-Over time you become more comfortable in a relationship. You like to be affectionate with her when you're alone but you find it difficult in public. Around your friends you guys will hold hands, lean into one another, and have your guys arms wrapped around either shoulders or waists.

-She likes to give you little charms and pretty rocks and gems she finds.

-You like to gift her with stolen objects you took from merchants that were rude. So far the most expensive thing you’ve stolen and gifted her was a silver necklace with a very pretty moonstone charm. It’s her favorite and she never takes it off.

- She likes to fidget with your hands when she gets anxious, especially about her family. She finds it interesting how you can so easily steal, so she likes to observe the little things. For example, she enjoys tracing the scars on your hands you have gained from your time thieving and fighting.

-You really like her hair, so she can sometimes catch you just staring at her. Sometimes when you guys are in public you even just mess with it in your fingers because you love how silky and bright it is.

-The entire crew is really happy for you guys, they like how much confidence you give Keyleth, and they like how soft you get around her.

-Vax and Vex can tell that you both make eachother better and stronger people and that you both are growing more into yourselves.

Grog:

Party couple/ adorably affectionate couple but not in an uncomfortable way

-You were quick friends that shared the same easy going attitude. You liked ale and parties and brawls. Grog liked those too.

-You both simply bask in each other’s happiness. You both feel warm and comfortable in the other's presence.

-Ale, yes please, you will both compete to see who can drink more, your drunken selves becoming instantly more charismatic making you both the life of the party.

-Only nice things to say about each other. You both never fight. Unless you are play fighting, for example food fights, sneak tackles, and other various activities.

-Piggy back rides, most definitely. Especially during drinking games and other competitions. You on Grog’s back and Scanlan on Vax’s, the four of you barreling down the street in a race to see who would be the last one standing.

-Grog would definitely like it if you made him jewelry, like necklaces or bracelets from treasure you had found or pretty stones in the forest.

-Grog would do the same for you as well, making very nice bracelets that now cover your wrists.

-You constantly fall asleep on him when you are adventuring. You sometimes snore, but he finds it cute.

-He likes to pick you up and give you massive hugs.

-You are both huge fans of hand holding.

-If someone attacks one of you, the other will beat the shit out of that person or creature.

-Pike loves you two together and is one of your biggest supporters. It makes you and Grog both very happy that she likes you together as a couple so much.

- You both constantly get into shenanigans together and crack the best jokes. There is a ton of laughter involved in your relationship.

I'm having a million things to do at work, teach prepare experiments, while also applying for jobs and prepare my practical and theoretical graduation exam.

Sometimes it can be overwhelming, some fluffy headcanons would be very appreciated. :)

i think we can all agree that Percy is pictured in the dictionary beside “overworked” and “stressed”

So I’m not sure how long it’ll take for him to catch on that you’re in a similar position

once he notices though, he’ll gently fuss at you to take more breaks or share your work with him (the hypocrisy lol)

if the work can be done by anyone other than you, Percy does not hesitate to shove it on someone else.

If you tell him that you’ll relax so long as he joins you, he’ll moan and complain but put his work to the side. He wants you happy first and foremost and honestly, his work can wait

Enjoys strolling the Whitestone gardens with you as a way to unwind. He’ll tell you the history of the gardens or point out new plants Keyleth has helped him plant

Secretly takes on some of your workload for himself. after you’ve gone to sleep, he’ll slip out of bed and tackle a problem that’s been giving you trouble, leaving you a sweet note when he’s done

Vex

Let’s you keep working…for a little while. But when she picks up on you being stressed and overworked, she’s watching you like a hawk

The minute you stop, just to take a breath or grab a snack or whatever, she’s covertly dragging you away to do something else. But like, as a favor to her

“I didn’t want to interrupt your work, darling, but can I borrow you for a moment?” said with a soft smile, her hands already pulling you away

Doesn’t actually need you for anything, Vex just wants to make sure you’re taking breaks and relaxing

Vax

If you so much as mention being slightly stressed, Vax is swooping in and pulling you away from whatever work you’re doing

He absolutely does not enjoy seeing you be anything other than happy and content so he does anything in his power to help you relax and feel better

Overworked? Helps to figure out if you could delegate to anyone else. If it’s not a necessity that you do the work, then someone else can handle it.

Stressed? Immediately offers a thousand ideas of how you can relax. Let him play with your hair and give you a scalp massage. Go flying with his wings (you don’t think that’s nearly as relaxing as he thinks it is). Just lie in bed together and chat.

Keyleth

Prone to worry and stress herself, she picks up on your troubles quickly. But she hesitated to interfere- she doesn’t want you thinking she’s trying to order you around or that she thinks you’re incapable

She’s gonna try and help you through your workload, to the best of her ability. If it’s really outside of her capabilities, she’ll resort to bring you snacks and reminding you to take breaks

When it comes down to it, she’s not afraid to put her foot down. Whatever work that needs to be done can’t be so important that you’re harming yourself along the way.

Keyleth gets you to take walks with her, maybe go swimming if that’s an option where y’all are, picnics, or even just hanging out with the rest of Vox Machina

I feel like Keyleth is very much an empath. You being stressed makes her stressed. You’re supposed to be the level headed and pulled together one!

Pike

kind of goes into Mom mode tbh

pulls you away from your work, runs you a bath with fragrant salts, and washes your hair for you

is not afraid to roll her sleeves up and help you work, no matter the realm in which your work lies. Even if she’s not familiar, she’ll do anything she can to lighten your load

If you just need to step away from work and try to wind down, she’ll happily accompany you to the tavern for drinks or back to y’all’s room for some cuddling and light conversation

Grog

honestly thinks drinking and/or hitting things can solve most problems

Plucks you away from your work, carries you under his arm like a football, and takes you to the nearest tavern

He’ll put it simply: it’s unfair that you’re overworked, you need to Not do all that shit, just come and drink with him and forget it all

Grogs not the best with words, but he hopes his company is enough to soothe your stress. He does not hesitate to offer hugs or more, whatever you need.

Scanlan

has ~certain ideas~ about how he could get you to relax

but in all seriousness, Scanlan knows the importance of down time and is quick to pull you away at the first sign of stress

plays you original songs he writes, sometimes serious or sometimes goofy, whatever kind of mood he thinks will soothe you the most

Lets be honest - Vex is not used to any kind of… affection. Not only because she despises it - she just makes sure her apperance stays as withdrawn and cold, distant.

But it is only a mask, a hateful one, but made of self-protection and apathy. She never had a person to truly care about, therefore it’s a process of learning on her own mistakes for her - to discover her feelings, uncover the mystical ’love’ part by part.

And your honest, warming feelings made her contemplate about that, about her own feelings, though she was ashamed of admitting it.

Your cheerfulness, the selfless and exuberant kindness, was something she thought she truly despised. These were the core ideals that represented everything she declined from her life, like she was about to vomit every time she experienced them.

But, with the sensation of dismay, she found out that it actually, maybe, didn’t make her want to choke. Maybe it was… sweet.

Your straightforwardness with confessing your feelings and expressing ideas - the little ”Vex, that was so cool!” whenever she showed you her shadow powers or ”That was so impressive!” - were concerning her, and afterwards - flustrating her.

She asked her shadow if you were serious, or just tried to show off right before her. But it would only sigh and pulse with its emphemeral form, not giving her the desired response.

Which was very confusing, because she did not know how to articulate the mixed feelings inside of her. Vex didn’t exactly want to turn you off nor drive you away, so she let you stay by her side, awkwardly and maybe even shyly.

It was a new, complex aspect in her life, the whole ’love’ thing. But it was lovely, like warm yet not disturbing person entering her safe seclusion.

And eventually Vex decided that… maybe you were not as bad as she thought. Eventually, you were quite cool. And you could stick by, if you didn’t mind her opposing clinginess, her lack of experience in showing affection, because she was never an affectionate person, and her being mody.

So Uhh just finished my last final and am now in fact crying. So I’m going to do head cannons of my Favorite Critical Role character’s comforting a stressed SO.

🎆 Imogen 🎆

She can feel your anxiety literally, although isn’t sure what to about it, Laudna is the comforting one.

She’s very big into words of affirmation to try and calm you down and lot’s of pet names largely Darlin’ Hun or Precious.

She copies what Laudna dose to soothe her after her nightmares, fetching you water, asking if your okay and just listening.

💠Beau💠

Definitely quick to notice your stress but is a little slower to do something about it, she trust you to handle it but if you’re over stressed will step in.

Literally just scoops you up and removes you from whatever is stressing you out. There’s no fighting her.

Will probably take you out for drinks and gets you drunk enough to talk about what’s bothering you, whatever it is she’ll handle it.

🌿Fearne🌿

Probably takes a bit longer to notice your stress but once she dose will not leave you alone until she makes you smile.

Tries little pranks to cheer you up, will steal whatever item she thinks is causing you stress. Uses Mister as a paper work begone machine.

Scanlan

He loves it. He loves performing with you, he loves watching you when you perform, he loves how you restring and tune his lute when you do yours even though he is more than capable himself.

Vax

He doesn't know how this happened, but he is enamoured with you. He would usually find your sort of behaviours irritating, but with you it's endearing. Scanlan never lets him live it down, the way he watches you perform, the way he stands guard around you in battle, the way he learns to take care of your instruments.

Vex

She is irritated that you are more charming than she is. But somehow, it's not as irritating as she expected. She grows to adore your persuasive ways, the way you get more money out of jobs, lower prices, and the way you wrap yourself around her after each performance.

Pike

She loves every part of you. She loves how you light up when you sing, the way your hands deftly move up and down your instrument. She adores you. She is the first to congratulate you when a crowd falls at your feet.

Percy

He is so smug about the fact that he gets to call you his spouse. Absolutely the type to refer to you as his husband/wife/spouse and then melt over the fact that he can say that.

Similar to the last point, as you now have a title due to being married to Percy, he will find excuses to use it. It's another reminder that you chose him!

No matter how stubborn this man is with most, he folds like wet paper with you. Percy is awful at saying no to you. He is whipped and he cannot do a thing about it.

All he really wants to do is spoil you with everything he has. What is the point of money and status if not to give you the perfect life?

Cassandra does her best to strike up a friendship with you and thinks it is hilarious that you could easily convince your husband to do anything. She will try and get you to take advantage of this for silly things.

If you become close with his sister, he's done for. Family is so important to him, and you and Cassandra are the biggest parts of his. Having you two get along is all he wants.

Cass makes a comment once about wanting to become an aunt and almost kills Percy.

Vex

Vex is subtler about how incredibly happy she is, but you know the way her eyes sparkle whenever someone mentions you.

There are jokes made about you being Trinket's step-parent. Trinket has decided the correct way to react is to try and make you pet him whenever he hears it. If he isn't expecting it, he gets excited and will knock you over from the force of it. Vex loves this.

Vex'ahlia has a possessive streak and you are well aware of it. She likes having a hand on you whenever she's next to you, and it will become incredibly obvious if she starts feeling as though someone is paying a little too much attention to you. This is when she starts saying 'My spouse," every time she refers to you.

She will say the worst, most blatant, innuendo in front of the party without so much as a blush. If you get flustered, then it's all the more fun.

Vex finds a lot of joy in still being able to fluster you, no matter how long the two of you have been together.

Vax

Vax can't quite believe that you agreed to marry him. On some level, it feels like he has been living a dream since the wedding.

He's so ridiculously soft over you. Vex claims he has heart eyes whenever you aren't looking. She's right.

He has dreamed of having a simple, content life ever since he was a kid. All he really wanted was to have someone he loved and could rely on. You give him so much more than that.

His deal with the Raven Queen haunts him sometimes, when he thinks about how much time he will or won't get to have with you. He promised himself that he would give you all of the love he could for as long as he could.

Vax tries to do small things to make your days easier when he can. For him, that's what love is. Wanting to make someone's life easier, to make them happy. You'll often see small things that he'd done for you without him saying he's done them.

“They’re beautiful.” Your words rolled up in a wisp, the nip of the air carrying them inline of your eyesight that was tilted, admiring the celestial bodies that littered the abyss of the night. Though, to you, they always seemed so dim from within the city walls.

A careful gaze admired the child-like wonder that blessed your features, a perfect world created in your space and Vex’ahlia felt her feet instinctively shuffle herself closer. “They’re nothing compared to what they could be, darling.” Her words always drew so smooth like her deft fingers trailing the feathers of her arrows in contemplation.

Soft but calculating, and the way she spoke them without hesitation and so confidently, never turning from you, a deeper meaning snagged onto your heart and wouldn’t let go. Your elbows shifted on the railing, drawing your arms and the blanket around you closer, head tilting to rest upon her shoulder. “You think they have more potential?”

Your spine twitched at the feeling of a soft touch over your lower back, an unfamiliar pattern tracing through the fabric, but a warmth reached beyond your skin. "Oh, I know they do,” her form that had been molded pulled back slightly immediately earning your attention, playing into her actions as she intended to allow her palm to rest on your cheek, “they have much more than they realize. They just haven’t been given the opportunity to show how bright they can be yet.”

“I’d love to see them unhindered,” you spoke wishfully, leaning into her touch, "at their brightest."

Her eyes, however dark, still managed to drown you like an ocean. It was warm and comforting, and you’d allow yourself to sink however deep was needed to see the curl of her lips again that she offered now. “Mmh, I know a wonderful place too, away from the city, the lights. A journey to get there, but that makes it all the more worth it, you know."

It was tempting to say the least. You'd never ventured too far outside the city walls before, not when your job required you to be stationary - you had no reason too. Owning a shop never called for adventure, but having such close friends who answered that calling was extremely beneficial for both parties.

A hesitation glimmered, clear as the clothes on your back to her before you even began to speak, "Oh, Vex, I don't know … "

Her fingers gently pinched your chin before you could look away. "This could be a little adventure of our own, dear. You've always wanted one."

Turning your head, her touch lingered as you looked on at the horizon, her hand resting lightly on your bicep as you thought. She's right and you both know it, but when wasn't she?

You were sure she could smell it radiating off you the first time she stepped a toe into your shop - the admiration and envy. Surly the longing as well, but Vex deserved the world and all the beautiful things that you could never offer her. Yet here she was with you, talking of a journey as though you were children in the summer, glow flies in the air, hand in hand through the tall grass in search of ferocious dragons and glittering gold.

"Just us?" you questioned softly, flitting to her from your peripheral. You didn't have an issue if it wasn't, but you had you preference on the matter, of course.

Her smirk, ever taunting, always fluttered in your stomach. "Of course, darling, that way I'll actually be able to enjoy it. Besides," a warmth molded along your back as she moved, lean arms wrapping around your frame to pull you close, lips brushing along your ear, "my attention belongs to more important matters than babysitting a group of children."
