She's not a big eater, likes the unique stuff the best. Her favorite is lizard, she's more inclined toward desert prey ;D

🎵- what kind of music would your character listen to? do you have any playlists for them?

She'd probably listen to hip hop and pop. She does have a playlist I need to update but I'll share it eventually ~ for context the first song in there was On The Loose - Niall Horan lmao

🤍- what does perfect happiness look like to your character?

I don't think she knows the answer to that question actually. She'd probably tell you it's what she has, having her friends and flirt buddies and others there whenever she wants to see them... but I wouldn't say she's super happy, even if she doesn't acknowledge that. Perfect happiness for her would probably be allowing herself to let someone actually get to know her, dropping some walls, and addressing some issues she avoids lol. Learning how to properly love someone would do wonders for her, too, and let someone really love her (in any form, not just romantic). Maybe something with her family and origins would be nice to figure out for her happiness, namely with Ivy

Confident babyyyy, he doesn't brag or think he's the hottest stuff by any means but he definitely isn't insecure about his appearance! He's too busy trying to seem cool anyway, he already looks cool

HHhhhMmM Sagittarius? Independent, emotionally intelligent, but adventurous, playful, and seeking out knowledge seems fitting!

Shadowdash:

🏉 - is your character athletic? do they train in their spare time or go for long walks?

She goes for runs pretty frequently! Loves to run ~ so yeah I'd say she's moderately athletic? Might spar on occasion too but that's not as fun

👔 - what would your character look like as a human? what sense of style would they have?

Very pale with long, straight dark hair. Slender and narrow, but strong legs. Probably wears whatever her mom buys her lmao, but her own style I'm not sure! Definitely sweaters and non-revealing clothing - probably likes turtlenecks and/or scarves and monotone colors

Breeze:

🐱 - how does your character feel about kits? do they want any? do they have any? are they a good parent?

Not on the forefront of her immediate desires for sure lmao, she could be convinced given a lot of time but the idea is weird to her. She can't picture herself as a mom. Definitely not interested in carrying kits. But she'd probably be the best parent out of all my CotS characters, actually - loving, a good listener, but objective when needed

☀️ - what are your character’s goals and what would they do to achieve them?

Right now? Making friends and working on changing her reputation/image, and upholding the one she's been building. Controlling her emotions and being a calmer, more healthy cat overall :) and making some cats happy too ~

Beetlepaw– 🤍 - what does perfect happiness look like to your character?

Perfect happiness is being able to turn invisible whenever she wants, so she can choose when and how others see her. It's cats listening to her when she says something's wrong, and her being strong enough to keep everyone safe, so she doesn't have to worry about anyone else failing. It's a shaded, secret den filled with all the things they love, their mushroom garden and their bone collection. It's a sweet voice, warm fur, and familiar hazel eyes that have always meant safety.

Hawthornberry– 🏅- what is your character’s reputation within their clan? what about the other clans? is your character popular?

I don't know if popular is the right word, but Hawthornberry is very beloved in CanyonClan! She's been a monarch for more than half of her life, so pretty much anyone under the age of 50 moons in CanyonClan was at least partially raised by her! In many cases, her reputation is either as a calm and levelheaded older cat to look to for advice, or straight up just as "mom." She's a pillar of support for the other monarchs (be them new parents or other perma-monarchs) as much as she's a caretaker and nurturer for the kits. She hasn't really been to the borders much since the war, though, so her reputations with the other Clans kind of depends on how old they are. Older cats might remember her better as a rambunctious young warrior, but if they met on the battlefield, they might know her as a fierce and efficient field medic of sorts. And of course some folks in the other Clans know her from her and her daughter's efforts during the murder investigations! Not well-known among the other Clans, but being a homebody means she's there for her own Clan quite a lot.

Rose Light– ♈️ - what zodiac sign would your character be? (and, if you wanna get crazy, what would their birth chart be like?)

According to the timeline, Rosie would be either a Virgo or a Libra and like. oh my god does she fit Libra. 100000% Libra

Hopfeather– 🥩 - what’s your character’s diet like? what are their favorite and least favorite foods?

Hop's diet is pretty typical for a TideClan cat! Lots of aquatic and semi-aquatic critters – fish, amphibians, small mammals that do alright with water, etc. Her favorite prey is bluegill, she thinks they're delicious! As for least favorite..... recent experiences may have sworn her off of turtles for a while.

Merry River– 🧸 - does your character have a specific object that soothes them?

Not really! Merry's an experience over items kinda guy! Maybe it might serve him better if he had a little more sensitivity and sentimentality about objects, but he prefers actions and experiences in most cases. If he needs to calm down he'll usually try to throw himself into doing something productive. Unclear if it truly relaxes him or just tires him out enough to sleep a little better.

Specklestone– ❄️ - what is your character’s favorite season? what about their least favorite season?

I don't know if Speckle has a favorite or least favorite! I think leafbare is probably her least favorite by default simply because providing for the Clan is hardest in the cold season. Leafbare and leaf-fall don't have good connotations in her mind because of the war stuff, but she otherwise doesn't have very many strong personal feelings about them. I don't know if she has a favorite season either – she just likes it when it's warm enough to warrant a swim.

Thank you so much for sending this emoji in particular, now I get to go on a rant about Whisperpaw and her complicated family that live in my head rent free

🥛 [MILK] What is your OC's relationship with their biological parents like? What about their relationship with any non-biological parental figures?

Tl;dr not good, at least with her bio parents. Whisperpaw and her littermates are treated very differently depending on the parent they're dealing with

For instance: Wavestar dotes on them, imparting wisdom as he tries to raise Whisperpaw and her siblings in his image to one day become ideal candidates for leadership. Wavestar is stricter with his other kits, but with Whisperpaw he's softer because he understands she's sensitive. She's his special little girl. But not in a good way. Out of all three kits, Wavestar has the least faith in Whisperpaw. And Whisperpaw knows it too. She sees it in the way he looks at her; eyes always brimming with pity. Wavestar makes Sandybreeze only put her on easy patrols, and sets her up to face off against weaker apprentices in training. Whisperpaw is given more elder duties than most apprentices, and while she's grateful to not be on the frontlines of battle, Whisperpaw wishes her father would be as willing to send her out as any Oceanclan apprentice. It's the principle of it, you see. Whisperpaw doesn't want to be treated as different, but Wavestar acts as if she's made of fragile ice.

Beckycreek, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of Wavestar. She's distant from all three of her eldest kits, but especially to Whisperpaw. Why is Whisperpaw singled out, you may ask? Well for starters, she's always acted stranger than her siblings. Speaking about dreary things or asking depressing topics from a very young age. As a kit she'd talk when nobody was there to be spoken to. That startled Beckycreek. It's part of the reason for Whisperpaw's name, in fact. Beckycreek has always been very put off to Whisperpaw.

It doesn't help that out of the littermates, Whisperpaw is the least reluctant to allow their mother to distance herself from them. No matter what, Whisperpaw has always tried to gain her mother's favor. She just wants to get along with her. But Beckycreek isn't up for that. She's cold and blunt with Whisperpaw, and makes a show of coddling her other kits to emphasizes just how much Beckycreek doesn't want to be bothered by Whisperpaw.

But part of Beckycreek's treatment of Whisperpaw isn't her fault (technically none of it is, as it's never the child's fault for their abusive parent's unjustified hatred of them). Beckycreek is detatched from her first litter because of Wavestar. I forget if I've posted about it before (ik I have the info in my drafts at least), but Beckycreek was at one point very in love with Wavestar, and happy to be the mother of his kits. She fell for him not long after she joined Oceanclan, and Wavestar was smitten with her from the very start. Once Beckycreek had her litter, however, whispers and gossip began to spread through the clan. Cats were wondering which of the kits would grow to become leader. Some questioned why Wavestar chose a kittypet to bare his heirs. Others speculated it was because he wanted to show a truce between clan cats and outsiders; he wanted to show Oceanclan was proud of how mixed it was. All Beckycreek heard was that she was used as a pawn in Wavestar's game. She was never really loved, she was only there to provide Wavestar a successor. Even if that wasn't the truth, that's what Beckycreek came to believe, and it's the reason why she's now with a different cat and completely over her first litter. Beckycreek has never properly explained this to them though, so they've always been left wondering why their mother stopped loving them. But Especially Whisperpaw.

As for non biological parental figures, Whisperpaw has a couple of cats. Her stepdad Scallopfall is nice enough to her, and treats her better than both bio parents combined. While neither sees each other as honorary kin, they have respect for each other. Whisperpaw is especially grateful to him for the great attention he gives to her little half siblings, who she has a hard time trusting Beckycreek to care for, from personal experience (but again Beckycreek tends to make a show of just how much she cares about them compared to Whisperpaw and her littermates).

The greatest parental figures Whisperpaw has though, are Curlear and Bluesky. She admires the wise cracking medicine cat and his lazy ex-kittypet apprentice. She sees them as her smelly old uncle and stoner cousin. But the cool kind. The kind a kid would beg their parents to go visit every weekend. Whisperpaw trusts these two cats more than any other in the clan. They don't treat her as different, as fragile or as a burden. They talk to her like a normal cat, and acknowledge her capabilities unlike many others in the clan. They challenge her to be the best cat she can be, and Whisperpaw is eternally grateful for their presence in Oceanclan.

🍂 - does your character have a friend group? if so, who’s all in it? how does your character feel about each of them?

I wouldn't call it a friend group but she does have friends, they aren't friends with each other though. Stoat has been her bestie since they were little and she luvs them they're her little floof and snuggle buddy, Whisper is her buddy she can be sassy with and laugh along with, and Rain is her sweet and flirty friend though that's a little more complicated lol. She has a few others too like Sun who she relates to and Gossamer who she likes to spend time with, and Splinter across the border too ~

Shadowdash:

🗣 - what does your character sound like? do they have any catchphrases? do you have a voiceclaim for them?

Her voiceclaim (currently, I tend to change my mind lmao) is Edda Hayes! She's a singer in a lot of LoL videos - very soft-spoken and quiet, but you get the sense it could crescendo if she wanted it to. She doesn't have a catchphrase but as far as manner of speaking, she tends to respond and speak slowly, but can reply quicker and more naturally the more comfortable she feels

🤍 - what does perfect happiness look like to your character?

A world where her mom and brother didn't dislike ScaleClan, and/or didn't outright voice their opinions on it. A happy, peaceful family where her brothers don't fight, her mom doesn't make her feel... disappointing even if she doesn't mean to, Nymph isn't so mean to others, and maybe... don't tell anyone, but a world in which she isn't so dependent on them all. Perfect happiness is Shadow standing proudly on her own with something meaningful to her name, with her content family there for her to fall on if needed, not lingering in the shadows of her every thought. Finding someone or a group to be happy with and feel unpressured around to be with sounds pretty good, too.

Searingdawn:

🎨 - does your character have a unique skill that sets them apart from others?

I think just... being really good at most things warrior-related. Minus stealth. She's not just naturally strong, she's exceptionally skilled in combat and strategy. Experience also plays a huge part, she's used to battles and can operate well under pressure. Other than that, she's really good at pushing people's buttons lmao she's smaht but uses it for shenanigans and not actual productive stuff most of the time

🌹 - is your character quick to fall in love or slow? do they deny their feelings or are they open and honest?

Very slow. Big denier. She doesn't deserve love because the primary cat she wanted love from didn't give it to her. She rejects the idea of romance, at least right now. Flings are fine, but only from cats that aren't in Scale - if they were from Scale that'd be weird she'd have to see them all the time ew

Starlingdive:

🏅- what is your character’s reputation within their clan? what about the other clans? is your character popular?

I think he's decently well-liked in Briar! Hasn't caused any trouble and does his job dutifully, and he's makin' friends ~ not as fitted in as he'd like though, but he's working on it. Other clans he's not super well known? But he's been a friendly lad to everyone he's met so far that isn't from Briar!

🔍 - is your character a good investigator or are they generally clueless?

I don't think Whisper ever got involved in the Official Investigations plot-wise so I have no dice rolls to back this up, but! I'd say Whisper is generally perceptive, but usually doesn't care to do anything about it. He's generally better at reading people or covertly eavesdropping on things than he is at tracking or locating clues visually or through scent. Figuring out what other people are thinking isn't that hard, but most of the time he doesn't do anything with that information except laugh at you about it, or crack jokes at your expense to his friends.

🎨 - does your character have a unique skill that sets them apart from others?

They are great at cosmetics! While they had less and less time for recreational activities in their youth with the war picking up, they've had enough practice that they're one of the more adept cats in the Clan at cosmetic applications of paint, like face and nail painting! You can always trust Whispershriek to make a thin enough palette of paint to go over your nails or to be easy to remove from your fur later, as long as you're not going to be too bothered by them taking the opportunity to draw stupid stuff on your face.

😻 - is your character insecure about their appearance or are they confident?

Oh Whisper knows they're hot shit asghgjd they're probably one of the most good-looking cats in CanyonClan just objectively, by Clan beauty standards! He doesn't tick all the boxes perfectly but he's high up there. He's never been insecure about his looks and he's not about to start anytime soon.

💥 - does your character have any habits that impact them negatively?

oh god. i mean. many. Whisper doesn't generally take things seriously – it's sort of a coping mechanism for him, but it also sometimes means ending up hurting others over matters that probably should've been handled more delicately, or pushing too far and winding up in situations that others and they themself may not be comfortable in. He tries to handle the feelings of at least his loved ones carefully, but being a jokestar doesn't always keep everyone's spirits up the way it's supposed to.
