Not Dream and Not Want or else she #will fall to the infection. I guess you could make the argument that being a demigod grants her immunity but that's less interesting to me #The fight to remember her life and herself through the years of stasis while also shutting every emotion down. I think what we see of her i #the game—esp her emotion towards the end—is the cracks in her armor that she deliberately doesn't fix because she knows one way or another #all of this will end. the burden is off her shoulders

I think it would be an improving experience for the writers who think surprising their audiences or leaving them sad and unsatisfied is the pinnacle of artistic achievement and have not noticed that the easiest way to bring that about is in fact to be bad at your job and the fans who think it should be illegal to write an ensemble or fail to clearly signpost the endgame couples or whether there's a happy ending to spend some time together, creatively speaking. Hand in unloveable hand.

I'd be improved by watching #my mood specifically #I know dunking on the former is too easy in a post got world but they have plagued me for so long #i do understand how frustrating it can be to feel like the reader-writer contract is being broken #but I also feel very strongly that you've gotta give writers room to change their minds and explore the story as it goes #especially in collaborative serialized story telling where they really aren't going to have a full sense of how everything is landing until #fairly late in the process #and like. I'm not here to tell anyone how to enjoy a story #but I also think that if some of these people experienced the epic highs and lows of not knowing exactly where a story is going from #the beginning they would enjoy it #like at their best genre expectations function like the structure of a sonnet and part of the trick is bringing that form to life and #working within that structure #but breaking the rules can be so much fun! as can throwing them out the window #and also often they are not at their best and just turn everything to boring cardboard #my personal vendetta against romance as a genre aside I love fantasy I will defend it to the end but so much of it is not as good as it #could be for this reason and that makes me sad

you're not being 'intellectually' honest about my what i said. why did you not post it in full? it feels like you're unwilling to actually engage with what i'm saying in an effort to 'win' and are trying to obsfucate that to your followers. i can't think of another reason you wouldn't post my ask and instead argue against a point i didn't make. i'm not trying to win an argument against you - i'm trying to have an honest dialogue with you about something that really worries me and i'm not sure why you're being so shifty about it.

it is not a personal opinion that youtube suffered significant negative press due to the 'alt-right pipeline', their connection to violent events, and their lazy attitude towards restricting that. it is not a personal opinion that they significantly changed their content moderation due to this.

it is not a personal opinion that twitch had been a platform that failed to protect it's minority creators, faced backlash because of that, and took (very small) steps to rectify that, including directly asking queer and bipoc community members to assist in setting community standards that twitch agreed to enforce.

those are facts that you can verify, not personal opinions.

as i said, none of these platforms are moral. that wasn't the argument i presented and you know that. i said that kick lacks even the (immoral) stopgaps that youtube and twitch have - their dependence on advertisers and hence wider societal 'morals'.

again, it's completely disingenuous to say that there's no difference between other platforms and the one that allowed their number one bestest boy to say that all trans people should be killed.

to be completely honest, i'm really disappointed in your inability to even engage with what i'm saying and instead try to present and argue against statements i didn't present. it's cowardly. you can say 'no more kick talk' all you want but it's clear that you're not able to engage in honest discussions about it.
