wanderlust legacy challenge part one

hi guys welcome to a new legacy challenge! i’ve had the itch to make a new one since coming back to simblr, so here goes.

you need all packs to be able to play this legacy challenge fully

the premise of this legacy challenge is: each generation has it’s own world. you are only allowed in the world of the generation you are currently playing, or the worlds of generations past. for a “hard mode”, only allow yourself to play in the current generations world. this means, no leaving the world for dates, days out, events, parties ect.

tips: at the start of each legacy challenge, you have full rein to do whatever you would like to the world you’re moving into. add new community lots and townies. make the world you’re playing in fun and exciting. include as many types of community lots you can. once the generation begins, you are not allowed to edit your world any further. (apart from editing sims if they grow up ugly for example lol)

note, your sims are allowed to interact with townies from different worlds, but they are NOT allowed to marry them, or go over to their house. you MUST marry a sim from your generation’s world.

rules, or not so much rules: you are allowed to play this legacy challenge as loosely or as strictly as you’d like. preferably you will use no money cheats, job or skill cheats, but honestly play the way you enjoy the game! use any sort of mods you like to enhance your own enjoyment. this legacy challenge is here for fun after all.

you can play this legacy challenge on any age length! just no pausing aging. normal aging is recommended, short aging is definitely for hard mode, but i personally enjoy long aging so it’s totally up to you. you can also have as many or as few pets as you’d like unless specified otherwise.

without further adieu, lets begin!

generation one: willow creek

this is it, your first ever place away from home!! you’re excited, but nervous. your legacy starts here and now. you’ve felt like you needed a new start for a while, and finally earned enough money from busking in the streets to find a rundown home. it’s a fixer-upper, but you see lots of potential! hopefully this will be your new base for the future years. you can see your music career taking off here. maybe even starting a band? and what about the future? is this place good for children? you wonder if this is the right move. but it’s too late to turn back now...

age: young adult (hard mode: start as a teen)

traits: ambitious, perfectionist, loner (hard mode: add “perfectionist” when YA)

aspiration: musical genius

likes/dislikes: likes guitar and singing (hard mode: no likes/dislikes)

rules:

- max guitar, singing and one other instrument skill (hard mode: max all instruments) - reach at least level 6 of the parenting skill - be the leader of a band (club) and meet at least once a week to practice - marry someone from willow creek - complete your aspiration, musical genius - have 3 children, but one is an “accident” with a member of your band (hard mode: have this child while being married; you cannot marry this band member) note: the “accidental” child is your gen 2 heir - reach level 10 of the entertainer career (musician branch) - busk regularly to earn Simoleans until level 5 of your career - your spouse must have a negative relationship with the child that is not theirs - when your gen 2 heir becomes a teen, your relationship with your spouse falls apart, and you divorce - maintain high relationships with each member of your band (including the parent of your child) - have at least “good friend” relationship with each of your children (hard mode: max out all relationship bars with your children) - have a music room in your home

generation two: oasis springs

your childhood was slightly confusing and difficult. you were often referred to as an “accident” by your step-parent. they very obviously hated you, but luckily you had a really good relationship with both of your real parents. just like them, you love and appreciate music, but you saw how stressful life as a musician could be. so you found a hobby in science and video games! you got lost in the world of outerspace, and dreamed one day of meeting a real life alien. you heard that alien abductions were happening in oasis springs, so on your 18th birthday, you left home and moved to the desert, hoping to one day meet an alien in the flesh...

traits: squeamish, geek, music lover

aspiration: computer whiz

rules:

- max the logic and rocket science skills

- complete your aspiration, computer whiz - reach at least level 5 in the video gaming, handiness and programming skill - reach at least level 5 in an instrument of your choice (hard mode: max the skill) - keep a positive relationship with your parents and siblings - have a negative relationship with your step-parent - work in the scientist career until you visit sixam - once you have visited sixam, you have the choice of: continuing in the scientist career until level 10, or swapping to the astronaut career and reaching at least level 7 (either branch) (hard mode: reach level 10 in both careers) - fully create a rocket and visit space at least 5 times - complete the space rocks collection and the geode collection - if your sim is male, attempt to become pregnant via alien abduction (you may use cheats for this if it feels like its never going to happen) - you must marry an alien (important: this alien MUST live in oasis springs, so i recommend pre creating them and placing them as a townie who is living amongst other sims) - have as many children as you like note: the gen 3 heir must be an alien

generation three: newcrest

note: with newcrest being a vacant world, this is the most creative you can get with designing your generations world! feel free to get creative. i can’t wait to see what style of newcrest you create

being an alien is hard. everyone looks at you funny, and that makes you sad. you’re just like everyone else, and wish they would stop teasing you. you spend most of your childhood in disguise, as you hate being picked on for being different. you’ve learnt to cover up your self consciousness by making self deprecating jokes. and it seems like you’re actually pretty funny! once you realize you’re actually good at being comedic, you start to become more confident in your real self, and go through a stage of self acceptance. you feel bad for your past self, as you learn to love who you truly are. you’re beautiful because you’re different! you move to newcrest to leave the bullies behind, and start a new chapter of your life where you don’t have to hide yourself or be self conscious anymore! you’re going to be an inspiration and encourager for people who are different like you.

traits: goofball, childish, self assured (must be gained in this order)

aspiration: joke star

rules:

- max the comedy and charisma skill - complete your aspiration, joke star - reach at least level 5 in the mischief, writing and photography skill - you must be your alien self for the majority of your YA+ time (mods allowed/encouraged!) - use your alien abilities as often as you can, especially “probe” as you find this very hilarious - reach level 10 of the social media career (internet personality branch) - reach at least 20,000 simstagram/social bunny (?) followers - adopt a cat or dog, and make them a simstagram with at least 5,000 followers - perform comedy routines and write comedy books in order to earn simoleans on the side - marry your best friend (from newcrest ofc) - have 4 children, 2 of which must be twins (cheat allowed) - prank your spouse and children regularly - must throw a big party for every holiday, event and birthday - complete the space prints collection - you must breed your cat/dog and the gen 4 heir must take their kitten/puppy with them!

generation four: magnolia promenade

your parents always taught you to be yourself and to do what you love. you are very confident in your creative ability and always dreamed of running your own store, selling things you create. your teachers even once called you a “young van gogh”. this was the best thing you ever heard, and now you vow to never let that teacher down! you’re determined to make your family proud by becoming a brilliant business owner and earning millions selling your art! mainly for your pride but, you can’t lie, the money is an added bonus.

traits: self absorbed, creative, art lover

aspiration: fabulously wealthy & painter extraordinaire

rules:

- you must max the creativity skill as a child - if you go out to dinner as a child, you must draw on placements - max the painting skill, plus 2 other crafting skills (flower arranging, fabrication, knitting or cross stitching) - reach at least level 5 charisma and baking skills - make at least 50,000 simoleans selling on plopsy (i’d keep track of this on a notepad or something) - reach level 10 of the painter career - once completing this ^ open your own store selling art - paint every type of emotional painting at least once - paint at least 10 masterpieces - complete both aspirations, fabulously wealthy & painter extraordinaire (in any order) - be companions with the pet you brought from your family home - marry someone who is also creative, must live in magnolia promenade - ^ have your first date, and get married in an art gallery lot - your spouse enjoys fishing, and must complete the fish collection (only they are allowed to travel to different worlds to complete this, not your heir or your children) - have 5 children, all are creative apart from 1, this will be your gen 5 heir - go on at least 2 family holidays to granite falls - have an art studio room in your home

generation five: windenburg

you were surrounded by beautiful art as you were growing up. both of your parents were extremely creative, as were your siblings. you always felt overshadowed by them, as your parents valued art above any other skill. you loved your childhood but always felt a bit like the black sheep. you made art in your own way, through cooking. your parents sometimes baked with you on weekends, and you became fascinated with food. now it’s your turn to make your own masterpieces, and become the best chef that windenburg has ever seen!!

traits: foodie, gloomy, snob

aspiration: master chef

rules:

- max cooking, baking and gourmet cooking skills - try to garden, gather and fish your own ingredients when you can - reach at least level 5 gardening, fishing and handiness - own all types cooking items in your home (oven, outdoor grill, cupcake machine, pit, ect.) - never eat a quick meal or cook in a microwave - your spouse must reach level 10 gardening - throw at least 5 dinner party or weenie roasts (hard mode: earn gold on all of them) - join the garden gnomes and upper crusts - complete the gardening collection - complete any “odd jobs” that require cooking meals - reach level 10 of the food critic career - write at least 3 cookbooks - create a grand meal for every holiday - cook together with your family at least once a week - complete the aspiration master chef - never cook the same meal twice in a row - fully upgrade your oven - have 2 children

traits: dance machine, commitment issues, party animal

aspiration: serial romantic and soul mate

rules:

- max dancing, mixology and bowling skills - reach at least level 5 in charisma, singing and dj mixing skills - complete the aspiration serial romantic as a young adult - never stay in a relationship longer than 1 season - have at least 3 children from 3 different sims as a young adult - be in the criminal career for your young adulthood, must reach level 5 at least - attend or throw a party at least twice every week - you are never allowed to say no to going to a party or bar (unless they are not in your accessible worlds) - once you reach adulthood, marry your best friend and have two more children - once you reach adulthood, reach level 10 in the mixology career - complete the soulmate aspiration as an adult+ - complete the snow globe and city posters collections - never become better than “friends” with your children - have a negative relationship with all prior lovers - your spouse must have a maxed out relationship with all of your children, even their step-children - your spouse must reach level 10 parenting skill

your childhood was confusing. receiving no love from one parent but endless amounts of love from the other gave you whiplash. it definitely did not give you a good perception on how relationships should work. you withdrew into your own fantasy world of vampires. you loved reading books about them, watching films about them, and you even started to dress like them! you were definitely the weird, quiet kid in school, and only had a few friends who were also obsessed with the supernatural. after hours of research, you finally found some solid evidence that vampires do indeed exist. and now you’re about to find out for real...

traits: bookworm, hot headed, romantic

aspiration: master vampire

- never speak to your parents or vampire siblings ever again - max the veterinarian, parenting and animal training skill - reach at least level 5 wellness and fitness - adopt a stray dog and become companions - max friendship level with mayor whiskers - teach your companion pet all tricks - do not get enter into any relationship or get married (you don’t trust anyone) - adopt 3 children of baby or toddler age - own your own vet clinic and work there - breed your pets at least once to sell their kittens/puppies - always have at least 1 cat and 1 dog in the household - finish the feather and frog collections - max friendships with all of your children - go to the park with your children and pets at least once a week

you grew up by the seaside, in a little cottage with your single parent and two siblings. things were quiet, and you were wrapped up in bubble wrap by your paranoid parent. they were always worried that something bad would happen to you, but you just didn’t understand! you wanted something bigger and louder. lets go live our life to the fullest!!!

traits: high maintenance, materialistic, overachiever

aspirations: mansion barren and world famous celebrity

rules:

- you must finish this generation living in a celebrity home - max the charisma and acting skill - reach at least level 7 in the comedy skill - reach at least level 5 in the fitness skill - reach level 10 in the acting career - meet your spouse via a blind date - woohoo in a money vault at least once - max your celebrity level - always complete money and item based whims - complete your mansion barren and world famous celebrity aspirations - go travelling to selvadorada at least 3 times - complete the omiscan treasures collection - have a cinema room in your house - have at least 4 children, and spoil them all - have a maid/butler - have at least 100,000 followers on your social media page - get a gold rating in all of these parties: house party, black and white bash, incognito costume party, dance party, charity benefit party, fan meet and greet - go on a date at least once a week with your spouse - have at least one “pure breed” pet

your childhood was loud, rash and honestly too much for your liking. constantly in the limelight made it hard to be yourself! your parents wanted the best for you, but didn’t understand that maybe you didn’t want to be famous and rich. you appreciate the smaller things in life. you were always devastated seeing those in need, homelessness, war, criminal activity, all while you lived in a mansion on top of a hill with more money than you ever needed! you’ve decided to give up everything and follow your heart to a small town named strangerville. you’ve read about some weird things going on here. maybe you can help...

note: i know the strangerville storyline is hated by some, so you can completely skip it by using cheats or mods if you wish*

traits: good, family-oriented, loves the outdoors

aspiration: big happy family

rules:

- you must start with only 10,000 simoleans. donate the rest to chairty - you must start in the little trailer lot and move out once you have enough money/need more space - complete the strangerville story line* - max the parenting and programming skill - reach at least level 5 in fishing, cooking and charisma skills - reach level 10 in the detective career then at least level 5 in the military career - marry a colleague very early into your YA life - start a family very early into your YA life - have 5 children and max out your friendship level with all of them - be best friends with your spouse - have a positive relationship with everyone in town (at least one person from each household) - finish the fossil collection - volunteer with your family at least once a week - every time you get above 40,000 simoleans, you must donate it to charity (unless you are saving for a larger house) - never fullfill money or object related whims - reject all party invites - only throw small parties for birthdays or weddings - if you want a pet, you must adopt them or find a stray in brindleton bay - buy off plopsy as much as possible in order to support small businesses - have a penpal

WARNINGS: brief mention of alcohol and drinking but nothing other that i think??

A/N: THIS IS PART 1 OF A SERIES. Endgame hasn’t been decided yet but this will be at least a 2 or 3 part series so if you have any preference for who reader should end up with then send me an ask and i’ll consider it! suggestions are accepted <3

You met your first love when you were 10 years old. Your understanding of love was limited to the love you felt for your parents and your family. It would only be years later that you realised just how deep your feelings for your first love had gone, even from the beginning.

You met your first love on the first day of school that year. New to the area, you were shy and could barely make eye contact with anyone. The kids in the area had gone to school together since kindergarten and were already friends with each other. You were the outsider that they had stared at curiously, whispering in the hallways about who the new girl was as you had walked to your first class that day.

You had sat down way in the back, hoping that no one would notice you. With your eyes glued firmly to your desk, you failed to notice the boy who approached you.

“Hi, you’re the new girl aren’t you?”

Even as a kid Jake shined brighter than anyone else. You had struggled to make eye contact with the friendly boy but he persisted in trying to talk to you.

“My name’s Sim Jaeyun but everyone calls me Jake. What’s your name?”

You mumbled your name, looking at your desk instead of him. You expected him to leave but he surprised you by taking the empty seat next to you instead.

Jake was extremely persistent.

He would talk to you about anything and everything, would help you during lessons when he saw you struggling and he would even let you use his notes to study. Jake never forced you to talk and at first you didn’t. You listened as he ranted about his day and the soccer practice that had gone horribly. You listened to him talk about his dog and how much he loved her.

You listened and slowly you began to open up as well. You remembered that he had smiled widely the first time you had opened up to him and it made you think that Jake had a very nice smile. You found yourself looking forward to going to school, rushing through the gates to see Jake once more. You began to notice the way he played with his hair when he was nervous, the way he fiddled with his thumbs when he was impatient and you noticed how he would maintain eye contact when he spoke to you - as if you were the only person in his world at that time. But you were only 10 and couldn’t understand why you liked Jake so much

Jake was popular in the way that genuinely nice guys were. Everyone liked him and even the ones that didn’t really know him, knew of him. They knew him as the smart kid who always got top scores in class, the one who was friendly with everyone, even the shy girl who sat at the back of the class. They knew him as the kid who was always ready to offer a smile to anyone and would drop his own plans to help someone he barely knew. Everyone liked him but Jake only ever sat next to you.

Even as the years and seasons passed by and you both entered high school, Jake never went away. He was an ever present constant in your life and you told yourself that that’s why you felt your body warm up whenever he would smile at you. You told yourself that your heart ached to see him at all times because he was your best friend and there was no other reason for it; there couldn’t be.

“Do you ever think about how different things would be if I never talked to you that time?” He asked you one evening, while you were both lying side by side on your bed.

You thought about his question for a minute before replying. “I’d be alone and you’d probably have another best friend.” You told him and he turned towards you with an uncharacteristically serious look on his face.

“I can never have another best friend. It’s you or no one else Y/N.”

You felt your heart race at his words but you disguised it by hitting his shoulder.

“Hey! What was that for?” He complained loudly.

“You were being too cheesy.” You looked away to hide the growing blush on your face.

You experienced your first heartbreak before you even realised that you were in love and hearts could break.

“Y/N,” Jake had bounced up to you in class one day. “I think I’m in love.”

Your stomach churned and you didn’t understand why.

“With who?” You asked and you didn’t know why you wanted to know so badly.

“Minji from third period,” He sighed dreamily, lost in thought. “She asked to borrow my notebook today and I think my brain short circuited.”

“Oh,” You gulped. “That’s nice.”

You tried your best to hide your disappointment, plastering a smile on your face while your heart sank. Jake didn’t seem to notice the look on your face.

“She’s so pretty Y/N. I don’t think I've ever felt this way about anyone else before.”

You felt your stomach flip again as you listened to him talk. It was an ache you couldn't quite explain, a realisation that perhaps your feelings for him ran deeper than you had ever acknowledged. Jake smiled as he talked about his new crush and you found a name for the feeling in the pit of your stomach.

You were in love with Jake but he wasn’t in love with you.

“Which do you think Minji would like more?” Jake pulled up two shirts, one black and one white.

“The black one.” You answered after giving it a split second look.

Jake looked at the black one closely and seemed to decide you were right, throwing the white shirt on his bed beside you.

“I’m so nervous Y/N,” He ran a hand through his hair and you felt your heart skip a beat when you saw the simple action.

Focus Y/N.

You forced yourself to look supportive. “It’ll be fine, Ikeu. She asked you out so I’m sure she likes you.”

“Thanks Y/N. You’re such a good friend for coming over to help me get ready.” He smiled gratefully at you and you felt your heart break a little bit more. Lately you hated it when Jake called you his friend.

“It’s no problem.” You lied through your teeth.

That night when Jake called you to tell you that Minji had kissed him on the date, you had forced a congratulations before ending the call abruptly.

You spent the whole night sobbing onto your pillow and wondering why you had to fall for the one person who you couldn’t have.

Jake and Minji started dating the summer you turned 18. Slowly, your best friend started spending less and less time with you and more time with his new girlfriend. You told him it was fine when he had to skip your study date to go help Minji with something. You told him you didn’t mind when he forgot to pick you up to walk to school together, the way you both had done every year for so many years. Each time, you reassured him with a smile, telling him it was alright and that you understood. Deep down, however, the ache of loneliness crept in.

It was a delicate balance between being supportive of your friend's happiness and grappling with the void left behind. The pang of abandonment was a bitter pill to swallow, yet you convinced yourself that this was what friendship meant—being there through both the highs and lows, even if it meant sacrificing your own happiness. If friendship was all you’d ever have then you’d be the best friend he ever had.

“I’m sorry Y/N,” He apologized after he cancelled another one of your plans together. “Minji wants me there and I don’t want to tell her no. I promise I’ll make it up to you.”

“It’s alright.” You lied again - something that had become second nature to you lately. Secretly you wondered if Minji was calling him on purpose to cancel your plans together every time. You had a feeling that she didn’t like you too much, something that was solidfied by the way she would ignore your presence whenever you were near. Jake, however, was oblivious to it all.

“You’re such a good friend Y/N. Thank you for being so understanding.”

A good friend.

It felt like an arrow through your heart.

“I’ll always be your friend.” The word tasted horrible in your mouth but you said it because you knew it would make Jake happy. And it did - he smiled at you so brightly and for a minute you were okay because Jake was smiling at you and everything was alright whenever he smiled.

But the reality was quite different. As the day passed you found the distance between you two growing bigger and bigger. Jake and Minji grew closer and you and him grew apart. Perhaps there was no longer any room in his heart for you and you wondered if you had just been a placeholder until someone new came along. It pained you to entertain such thoughts, but they were difficult to ignore. You became an outsider, relegated to the sidelines, masking your true feelings behind a facade of understanding and support.

Jake had long stopped sitting next to you in class, his seat next to yours now empty. Instead, he opted to sit next to Minji. Your interactions went from being glued to the hip to a polite smile in the hallways when you saw each other. The promise of always being friends had fallen empty and you watched as your best friend slowly became a stranger.

And before you were even 19, your first love was over.

You met Heeseung in your first year of college. He was everything you deemed unattainable—tall, gorgeous, and popular—a stark contrast to your own self-perception. You had faded away into the background just like before when your friendship with Jake had ended. You noticed Heeseung, of course. How could you not? As your new friend Wonyoung liked to say, Heeseung was a greek god among men. You didn’t expect him to notice you so it took you by surprise when he approached you one day in the Starbucks on campus.

“Y/N right?” He asked and you found yourself at a loss for words, shocked that he even knew your name. You nodded on autopilot and he gave you a coffee with your name on it.

“The barista was going to call out your name but I told him I would hand it to you. I thought it would be a good excuse to talk to you.”

The words slipped out before you could filter them: "Why would you want to talk to me?"

Heeseung smiled shyly. “Because I think you’re pretty.”

The whole interaction threw you off balance and when he made his way out the door with a coffee and your number written on his hand you were left feeling as if you were stuck in a dream.

For once, Jake was not on your mind.

The last time you had seen the boy you called your first love was at your highschool graduation. He had sat with Minji at his side as was usual for him by then. Wherever Minji went, Jake followed. That was also the last day that you had talked to him.

“Congrats, Y/N.” Jake had approached you while you were alone.

You had smiled at him, congratulating him back. “Valedictorian huh? I always knew it would be you.” You told him and his eyes shone with something that looked to you like sadness. But that couldn’t be it right?

“Y/N I’m really sorry for how horrible of a friend I was at the end. I-“

“Ikeu!” You felt your stomach churn at the familiar nickname, the name that you had given him.

Minji bounced up to you and suddenly you wanted to run away, as far away from the situation as possible.

“It’s okay Jake. I think you have other priorities now.” You nodded towards Minji before leaving.

You forced Jake out of your mind and out of your life. You shoved him in a box both literally and metaphorically, with all reminders of him collected and gathering dust under your bed. Your first love had become your first heartbreak and you didn’t want to delve on it any longer. You didn’t want to think about Jake any longer.

Maybe that was the reason that had pushed you to say yes to Heeseung when he asked you out on a date, a few days later.

The day of your date with Heeseung arrived, and you found yourself nervously adjusting your outfit in front of the mirror. You had chosen something that made you feel confident and comfortable, hoping to make a good impression.

The first word you heard when you opened the door for Heeseung was “Wow.”

He stood at your door with a bouquet of flowers and an awed look on his face. “You’re so gorgeous.”

And you felt a familiar surge of butterflies in your stomach, something that you had never felt for anyone other than Jake.

The evening unfolded effortlessly. Heeseung paid attention to you like no one ever had, hanging onto every word you spoke as if it was gospel. He made you feel special, wanted. In turn, he shared his own thoughts and experiences. The more you talked, the more you realized how much you had in common proving your first impression of him wrong.

“Can I hold your hand?” He asked you as you walked through a park. He ran his hands through his hair and immediately you were transported and there was Jake in front of you. But just as fast, the glimpse of him was gone and you gave him your hand, not because he reminded you of Jake but because you genuinely liked him.

As the night drew to a close, Heeseung walked you back to your dormitory. Standing under the soft glow of the streetlights, there was a sense of anticipation hanging in the air. Heeseung looked at you earnestly, his eyes filled with genuine interest.

“Y/N, I had an amazing time tonight," he said, his voice gentle yet filled with sincerity. "I'd love to see you again if you're up for it."

A smile crept across your face as you realized that, in this moment, you had a choice. You could continue to let the past define you, or you could embrace the uncertainty of this new connection that had the potential to bring you joy and happiness.

You took a deep breath, feeling the weight of your decision lifting from your shoulders. With a newfound courage, you replied, "Heeseung, I had a wonderful time too. I'd love to see you again."

It was a leap of faith that turned out to be one of the best decisions you made. Heeseung treated you like you were a princess and for once, you felt like you were first place in someone’s life.

Jake’s presence in your life was all but gone when he came crashing back in.

“Let me know when you want to leave, okay?”

You couldn’t help the smile that tugged at your lips when you heard the familiar words. It was something that Heeseung told you whenever you went out, to let you know that you could always find him when you wanted to go and he would leave without any questions asked.

“I’ll let you know.” You promised as you entered the house.

You didn’t know who’s house it was or who was even hosting the party. You could barely recognize some of the faces in the house, most already clearly drunk from the way they were swaying on their feet.

It was Heeseung’s idea to come here but you didn’t mind. You trusted Heeseung and when it came to him, you were willing to try new thing and new scenes. His hand remained on your waist as he guided you through the house.

The air smelled of alcohol and smoke. As you moved through the crowded house, the noise of conversations and music enveloped you. It was a chaotic scene, filled with flickering lights and the pulsating beat of the music. You could feel the energy in the air, a unique blend of excitement and recklessness that could only be conjured when you put together a bunch of drunk college kids.

"Heeseung!" A voice called out from within the throngs of people, piercing through the ambient noise of the party. Heeseung's attention shifted as he turned to locate the source of the voice. You followed his gaze and noticed a figure pushing through the crowd, making their way toward you.

When the guy got closer, your heart dropped to your stomach.

Jake stood before you, a shocked look on his face at the sight of you.

“Y/N?”

Heeseung glanced back and forth between you two, a surprised look on his face. “Do you two know each other?”

You feigned a smile, moving closer to Heeseung. “Yeah we went to school together.” It was so much more than that but you didn’t want to tell Heeseung the extent of your relationship with Jake.

Jake’s eyes flickered from Heeseung to you before finally dropping to his arm wrapped around your waist. A flicker of understanding appeared on his face and you shuffled on your feet under the weight of his gaze.

“That’s great! I don’t have to introduce you two then,” Heeseung beamed, completely oblivious to the tense air hanging over them. “Jake’s my roommate. And Jake this is my girlfriend, the one I was telling you about. It’s so crazy that you know each other already. Small world and whatever it is they say I guess.”

Heeseung had no idea.

As Heeseung introduced you as his girlfriend, you felt a mix of emotions swirling inside you. The weight of the unspoken truth weighed heavily on your shoulders, and guilt gnawed at the edges of your conscience.

Smiling, you turned to Jake, mustering as much warmth as you could. "It's nice to see you again, Jake," you said, trying to sound genuine. “Really is crazy how you two are roommates huh?”

“Crazy.” He mumbled.

Heeseung turned towards you. “I’m going to go get a drink, ok? I’ll be back soon I promise.” He gave you a peck on the cheek before leaving and you felt like you would burn up from the way Jake looked at you.

You wished that you had been able to at get in at least one drink before Jake had showed up. You were way too sober for this situation.

"I didn't expect to see you here," Jake finally broke the silence, his voice laced with a mix of curiosity and sadness. "How have you been?"

You took a moment to gather your thoughts, the conflicting emotions swirling within you. "I've been... okay," you replied, your voice barely above a whisper. "Life has been... complicated."

Jake nodded, a hint of understanding in his eyes. "Complicated... that's one way to put it."

“Where’s Minji?” You hoped that you were able to mask the bitterness in your tone.

“We broke up. Right after graduation actually. She was cheating on me with Jay. You know him right? He was captain of the soccer team.”

You felt a pang of sympathy for your once best friend. “I do. I’m sorry you had to go through that.” Your words were sincere. Whatever had happened between you two, you had never wanted anything bad to befall him.

Jake nodded, his gaze shifting away for a moment before returning to meet yours. "Yeah, it was a tough time. But I've been trying to move on and focus on other things."

Silence settled between you for a moment, the weight of unspoken memories and unresolved feelings hanging in the air. The past had a way of resurfacing at unexpected moments, forcing you to confront the choices and consequences that led you to where you were now.

"Y/N, I have to ask," Jake began, his voice tentative. "What happened between us? I mean, we were... close. And then everything changed."

You laughed and this time you were sure he heard how bitter you sounded. “No Jake. You changed. You started dating Minji and I became your second choice. I was always there for you. I tried to be a good friend to you, the best friend. But you abandoned me as soon as you got someone else.”

Jake's expression shifted, a mix of regret and realization crossing his features. "Y/N, I messed up. I made a mistake by taking our friendship for granted, and I'm truly sorry for that. I never intended to hurt you or make you feel like a second choice."

Your voice wavered with a combination of hurt and anger. "It's not just about being a second choice, Jake. It's about how you treated our friendship when things got complicated. You distanced yourself, and I felt abandoned and replaced. It hurt."

Jake's gaze dropped, his shoulders slumping with the weight of his own remorse. "I can't change what happened, but I want you to know that I regret the way things turned out. Losing our friendship was a terrible loss for me."

The rawness of the emotions between you was palpable. Memories of shared laughter and moments of happiness flooded your mind, conflicting with the reality of the present. But when you saw Heeseung approaching you, your reality came crashing back.

“It’s a little too late for that Jake.”

Heeseung's cheerful demeanor faltered for a moment as he sensed the tension in the air. He glanced between you and Jake, his brow furrowing in confusion. "Is everything okay?"

You took a deep breath, trying to compose yourself. "Yeah, everything's fine," you replied, forcing a smile. "Jake and I were just catching up, that's all."

Heeseung looked unconvinced, his eyes lingering on both of you before he finally nodded. "Alright, if you say so." He turned to Jake. “We should all hang out together sometime, man. I’m sure you and Y/N have a lot to catch up on.”

Jake nodded, his gaze fixed on the floor. "Yeah, maybe."

Heeseung's attention shifted back to you, concern etched on his face. "Y/N, are you sure everything's okay?"

You nodded, avoiding his gaze. "I'm just a little overwhelmed by the crowd and the noise. Maybe we should find a quieter place."

Heeseung's expression softened, and he gently took your hand. "Of course, let's go outside and get some fresh air."

As you walked away from Jake, a whirlwind of emotions and conflicting thoughts consumed your mind. Guilt gnawed at your conscience, but so did the longing for things to go back to how it was with Jake. You found yourself caught between the familiarity and comfort of your relationship with Heeseung and the unresolved feelings you had for Jake.

Outside, you and Heeseung found a quiet spot away from the clamor of the party. The cool night air washed over you, providing a momentary respite from the chaotic atmosphere.

Heeseung wrapped his arm around your shoulders, concern evident in his eyes. "Tell me what's really going on, Y/N. I can sense that something's bothering you."

You looked into Heeseung's eyes, your heart aching at the thought of hurting him. But the words that formed on your lips were not the whole truth. You couldn't bear the idea of losing him, not yet.

"It's nothing, Heeseung," you said, forcing a smile. "I guess seeing Jake just brought back some memories from highschool, but I'm happy now, and that's what matters. I don't want to dwell on the past."

Heeseung's brows furrowed, his grip tightening slightly. "Y/N, I want you to know that you can always be honest with me. I'm here for you, through thick and thin."

You nodded, fighting back the urge to spill the truth. "I know, Heeseung. And I appreciate that. But right now, I just need some time to process everything. I promise it's not anything serious."

Heeseung studied your face, searching for any signs of deception. After a moment, he sighed and pulled you into a gentle embrace. "Okay, Y/N. Take all the time you need. Just know that I'm here for you, no matter what."

Tears stung the back of your eyes as you held onto Heeseung, grateful for his understanding and support. In that moment, you made a silent promise to yourself that you would find a way to resolve your feelings, to make a decision that would bring clarity and honesty to your relationships.

Deep down, you knew that the path ahead would be challenging and filled with difficult choices. But for now, you chose to hide the truth, hoping that time would bring at least some lucidity and guidance, and praying that your heart would find its way back to where it truly belonged.

“Heeseung?”

“Hmm?”

“I’d like to leave now.”

He kissed your forehead, a soft touch of his lips that made your heart soar.

“Anything you want.”

Seeing Jake had stirred up something in you, something that you thought had died long ago. Your mind was suddenly filled with memories that you hadn’t thought about in forever, memories of a boy that you were sure you would never see again.

It was always accompanied with a rush of guilt - a silent apology for Heeseung who looked at you as if you hung the stars. The weight of your conflicting feelings laid heavy on your shoulders and you felt as if you might drown under it.

It was as if the universe was playing a cruel joke on you, conjuring Jake up from your past just as you were starting to move on. The feelings that you thought you had locked up were begging to be let out, to be felt, to be heard.

Jake being Heeseung’s roommate was another brutal twist of fate.

When Heeseung asked you to come over for a date night, you didn’t have the heart to tell him no. Or maybe you could’ve and your answer was led by a part of you that wanted to see Jake again. Either way, when you showed up at his door that night, you were a ball of nerves. You wiped your sweaty palms on your pants before you knocked on the door.

Heeseung opened the door and you felt… disappointed? No of course not, you scolded yourself. You did not want to see Jake.

Heeseung greeted you with his warm smile and pulled you into a gentle hug, oblivious to the turmoil churning within you.

"Hey, Y/N. I'm so glad you’re here. I’ve been looking forward to this" Heeseung said, his voice filled with genuine happiness.

You managed a smile, though it felt forced. "Me too, Heeseung."

As you stepped into the apartment, you couldn't help but glance around, half-expecting to catch a glimpse of Jake. The realisation that he was just a few feet away, possibly in his room, sent a shiver down your spine.

Heeseung led you into the living room, where soft music played in the background, creating an intimate ambiance. The smell of a home cooked meal wafted through the air and you noticed candles carefully placed around the room. Your heart melted - Heeseung had clearly put a lot of thought into this for you.

“I cooked for us,” Heeseung told you nervously. “I hope you like it.”

You gave him a peck on the lips, a smile on your face. “I already love it, Heeseung. Thank you.” You told him genuinely.

As you settled down on the couch, your nerves slowly began to subside, replaced by a sense of appreciation for Heeseung's thoughtfulness. The flickering candlelight created a warm and intimate atmosphere, casting a soft glow on the room.

Heeseung sat beside you, his eyes filled with affection as he reached out to hold your hand. The weight of guilt and conflicted emotions still lingered within you, but for a brief moment, you allowed yourself to be present in this beautiful setting.

Heeseung's cooking was delicious and when you told him so, his cheeks heated up. The conversation flowed naturally between you, lighthearted and comfortable momentarily distracting you from your thoughts. As you shared stories and laughter, you noticed a faint sound coming from the hallway. Your heart skipped a beat, recognizing the familiar voice.

Before you could fully comprehend what was happening, Jake appeared at the entrance of the living room, his eyes widening in surprise as he took in the scene before him.

"Hey, guys. I didn't realize you were having a date night," Jake said, his voice tinged with a mix of curiosity and awkwardness.

Heeseung turned to look at Jake, momentarily taken aback. "Oh, hey, Jake. Yeah, we were just enjoying a quiet evening together. You're back early."

Jake shrugged. “Yeah I didn’t feel like staying out too late tonight.”

“Well if you have nothing better to do then you’re welcome to join us.” Alarm bells rang in your head when you heard Heeseung’s invitation. Jake seemed to hesitate for you a second before he accepted, sitting down on the opposite end of the couch.

“Here, you can choose the movie.” Heeseung, ever the gracious friend, handed over the remote to Jake. He didn’t say anything as he flicked through the movie titles on screen before finally settling on something. Your eyes widened when you realised what movie it was.

“This one.” He chose, staring pointedly at you.

“Y/N do you mind?” Heeseung asked you.

You shook your head no. “It’s my favourite movie.” You told him.

“That’s great then!” Heeseung seemed oblivious to the way Jake looked at you as the movie started.

The first familiar scene started playing and you couldn’t help but feel wistful. Every scene, every line of dialogue reminded you of when you would watch it with Jake every weekend. The both of you had watched it so often you had memorised the lines and at some point it had become a game to see who would remember what line came next. You stole glances at him, his eyes fixed on the screen but his demeanour slightly distant.

Heeseung, engrossed in the movie, seemed oblivious to the emotional tension that lingered in the room. He occasionally leaned in to whisper a comment or share a smile with you, unaware of the conflicting emotions brewing within your heart.

Unable to handle the tension that crawled over you any longer, you excused yourself. “I have to go to the washroom.” You whispered to Heeseung before untangling yourself from him.

He pointed at the hallway. “It’s the first door on the left.”

You nodded, mustering a small smile, and made your way down the hallway. As you entered the bathroom, you took a moment to compose yourself, staring at your reflection in the mirror.

You can do this Y/N.

You took a deep breath before opening the door ready to go back to the movie. Instead, you were met with Jake waiting outside the bathroom.

“Y/N… Can we talk?”

You looked at Jake, uncertainty and apprehension swirling in your mind. The last thing you wanted was to engage in a conversation that could potentially complicate your already conflicted emotions. The thought of opening up old wounds and facing the unresolved feelings from the past was overwhelming.

“What’s there to talk about Jake?” He winced as if you had slapped him with your words.

“I want things to go back to the way it was before. I want us to be friends again.”

You almost laughed at his words. “Are you kidding me? You want us to be friends again after all that?”

You couldn’t help the words that came next. “And besides, I never thought of you as a friend anyways.”

The look of hurt on Jake’s face alerted you to what you had blurted out. Shit.

“What do you mean by that?” He asked, the hurt evident in his voice.

You sighed, realising how badly you messed up. But you couldn’t go back now.

“I was in love with you Jake.” Your voice was soft when you spoke. “I was in love with you since the day I first met you when we were 10. I was still in love with you when you chose Minji over me. You were never just a friend to me.”

Jake's expression softened as he processed your words, a mix of surprise and regret crossing his face. He opened his mouth to speak but seemed at a loss for words.

"I... I didn't know," he finally managed to say, his voice filled with remorse. "I never meant to hurt you, Y/N. I never realized how you felt about me."

You looked at Jake, your eyes filled with a mixture of pain and vulnerability. "I know you didn't, Jake. And it's not entirely your fault. I never had the courage to tell you how I felt, and I allowed myself to believe that being just friends was enough. But it wasn't. It tore me apart to see you with someone else, but I couldn't blame you for choosing Minji. I couldn't blame anyone but myself for not speaking up."

Jake's eyes glistened with remorse as he reached out to touch your arm gently. "Y/N, I'm so sorry. I never wanted to hurt you. If I had known, things might have been different. But I can't change the past."

You gently took his hand off of you. “I can’t ever just be friends with you Jake.”

As you turned to walk back towards the living room, Jake's voice called out behind you. "Y/N?"

You stopped but didn't turn around, waiting for him to speak.

"I never stopped caring about you. Even when we drifted apart, you were always in the back of my mind. And... I'm sorry."

Those words hung in the air, a bittersweet acknowledgment of the past. With a heavy heart, you continued your path back to the living room, where Heeseung awaited. The familiar warmth and comfort of his presence enveloped you as you sat down beside him.

Heeseung noticed the sombre look on your face and gently squeezed your hand. "Is everything okay, Y/N?"

You looked into his eyes, feeling a mix of gratitude and guilt. "Yes, Heeseung. Everything is fine."

Everything is fine. So why did it feel like your heart was torn in two?

Vavel Vacationaries: CC-Free Community Lot

When I was messing with TS3 during my yearly brief revisit of it, I tried out the resort management gameplay from Island Paradise. I always like to make a single adult sim to try out the huge amount of features TS3 has, and for resort management I went with a 1980s businesswoman.

Long story short, that sim and the pre-built resort I had her running inspired me to try to shoddily adapt that concept into TS2.

So this is a community lot, sorta designed like a tropical hotel/resort, but mostly just for aesthetics as it's not a "real" hotel (ie not zoned as one in-game, so the front desk object does nothing, it's just for decoration). There are 4 beds though, and if you do want to have a longer vacation-type experience on the lot you'd need the Sleep on Community Lots mod to have sims be able to use the beds.

Going along with my resort management inspiration, I tested out having this lot as an owned business, but it was pretty boring because sims would stand around thinking about buying a ticket from the Electrono-Ticket Machine, and once they did they would all go over to the Taste of the Tropics Food Stand and stand around thinking about buying food, and almost all of them would end up leaving the lot before they even bought any food. They literally didn't do anything else lol.

Soooo yeah that didn't work out, it was more fun to play it as a normal unowned community lot - And just pretend that it's owned by the sim I made, I guess.

You're no longer pregnant so it's time to work on that riding skill.

Chiara has completed three aspirations: LADY OF THE KNITS, EXPERT NECTAR MAKER and (thanks to the second) FABULOUSLY WEALTHY - now she's after FREELANCE BOTANIST. She doesn't need to complete the one to do with horse riding - just max the skill.

For now she's only at Level 3, but she's still good enough to master the art of riding with unattached stirrups, by the looks of things 👍

Caleb invited her to an exclusive Windenburg party, where she met not one but two potential baby daddies. As Chiara has the NON-COMMITTAL trait and I feel like Joaquin would actually want to be an involved father (in a bro kind of way) we went with Thorne Bailey. Who did not hesitate for a second before he cheated on his wife. Octavia deserves so much better.

He keeps on asking Chiara out on dates, even invited her to hang out at his place once (just man up and end the relationship like an adult if you want to be caught that bad - seriously), never did the dirty dishes but was nice to the foal at least. 2/10 - would recommend purely for the lore.

Someone who does do the dirty dishes is Caleb. While Chiara no longer needs to work (aged nectar may even be more OP than painting when it comes to simoleons), she is single parenting it and he may as well put those sleepless nights to good use. Especially once the sprog is playable.

(He also gave her a crafted guitar. Which was actually the perfect gift for her as she likes handiness and guitar playing, so for a hot minute I regretted her NON COMMITTAL trait. But he'll be around for future generations. Some premades just seem to have pull towards my Sims and I have to make a conscious decision to ignore them during my save. Yes, Lou Howell and Akira Kibo. I'm also looking at you two.)

I have a long commute, giving me two hours a day to listen to podcasts. Here is my documentation of all the audio dramas I’ve consumed plus a little blurb. I just wanted to organize them in a list and also (selfishly) get recommendations if anyone would be so kind. Or maybe you’ll see something that’ll interest you. Enjoy!

Podcasts I’m Caught Up With

The Penumbra Podcast: I’ve made an animatic for this one. I’m down bad. This is the one that sucked me into this podcast world.

Malevolent: Arthur dating sim when??? Everyone wants him. Also it took me way too long to find out it was an actual play podcast.

Red Valley: Gordon fan all the way. Normally I do like the Sad Boy but Gordon is that type of dorky that makes me want to protect him.

Caravan: Interesting world and love a main character that makes questionable decisions. Everything is going to be fine :)

WOE.BEGONE: I’m obsessed. It happened slowly but now I think about it every day… And the music is so good! Mike Walters is cringefail, bbygurl, easy to manipulate, and saws his left arm off at the shoulder.

The Cellar Letters: Legit gets me spooked at times. Steve and Nate are good vibes. I’m sure glad nothing ever happens to them.

Harbor: Love that Sam being a malewife ruined his life.

Rifted: Aurora, another Sad Boy to add to my collection. Daniel should give him a kiss to make him feel better.

Heroics: Pls come back some day… I need more Josh. He’s in his slay era.

Second Fiddles: Max is owning being a bbygurl. Also there are a lot of poop jokes which is weird but I’ll look past it.

Hand in Glove: idk anything about baseball but these baseball players are smoochinggg.

Find Us Alive: Lancaster in booty jorts. It's canon. Don't look it up. I'm right. ALSO HE NEEDS TO TALK ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM PLS.

The Kingmaker Histories: The kiss is still the subject of much historical debate. Eisen <3

The Viridian Wild: It hasn’t been updated since 2021 but I still have hope.

Dos: After You: Ghosting GONE WRONG

Brimstone Valley Mall: SEASON TWO IS COMING. 90’s mall setting is really fun and I’m here for the thing Asmoraius and Trent have going on.

Levian: It starts off with a bang! Well not quite since his sister walks in oops. Excited to see where this pirate tale takes us.

Midnight Burger: Each episode is a delight and as someone who is bad at science, I appreciate Gloria and Caspar. Caspar pls stay forever and also Brodie <3

If its ok whats your biggest peeve with modern persona

this is going to sound so unbearable, i think, but Hear Me Out

to sum it up, i just think the writing is extremely careless and sloppy, and the formula is lazy.

i think i can safely say the only modern persona game i consider myself a fan of is persona 3. haven't played reload, but i love what i have seen and also love FES and portable basically equally. but i think the existence of persona 3 as a good game thoroughly debunks the merit of "auteur theory" because it's only in spite of the misogynistic-tinted ineptitude of the two celebrated/recognizable directors that the experience is so memorable. imagine admitting in a book with your name on it that you could never be friends with a woman without getting romance or sex out of it, and saying this is why you made your protagonist a serial cheater. LOL

this type of careless attitude lacking self-awareness kind of permeates every modern entry. a controversial take of mine that i will live and die by is that the ending of persona 3 is sad because a depressed child with the power of the entire universe uses it to kill his/herself because it would make the lives of everyone around him/her better. i understand the intention of messianic imagery and mythology to it, but it is again just sort of a symptom of that carelessness that i associate the modern entries with.

then, persona 4 takes the narratively focused mechanics of persona 3 and makes it a series staple, thus weakening the entire point of why the calendar/daily life sim exists for persona 3 on a narrative level. i understand this was mostly done for crunch related reasons, but i would argue that makes this happening even worse.

but, at the very least, persona 4 does more with the calendar system tangibly than persona 5 vanilla does, where you essentially clear the main story in a single day and then get messages from everyone saying "yeah we gotta wait for (date) huh." having a major character be potentially in, essentially, a pointless coma for a month is egregiously stupid, among other narrative choices. i cannot speak for p5r because i have not played it, but persona 5 was so middling that i think i would have to lose a bet to go through the main game again just for a few hours of good content.

persona 3's messaging is at least cohesive enough to present a thesis: life is worth living even throughout the pain, so seize every day because one day it will end. but even then, that carelessness is still present with the point i raised above as well as the entirety of 10/4. the aftermath of shinjiro dying actively weakens the narrative because he specifically gave up on his own life – which, again, i understand is a gesture of gifting a future to someone in spite of the fact that even children will one day inevitably die, but shinjiro also just wanted to die himself, which is... exactly why nyx and erebus exist. yet his death is said to be "how it should be", and akihiko evolves his persona by developing even more maladaptive coping mechanisms than he already had. this isn't to say that shinjiro should have lived per se (though i do like p3p's act of quite literally giving him more time in the form of the pocket watch), but rather that the aftermath of his death should have been written from a different angle. his death is sad precisely because it was unnecessary.

persona 4 has absolutely fucking nothing to say. it makes no sense. messages about facing the parts of yourself you deny and overcoming the ideas others project onto you just mean absolutely fucking nothing when accepting their social conditioning as their "true self" is the conclusion of just about everyone. the only exception is fucking teddie, who is the only party member who has an arc that doesn't completely contradict the messages the game is allegedly trying to send out. you can also probably guess my opinion on the bigotry. the symbology makes no cohesive sense mythologically speaking, and the build up to the main antagonist... also doesn't make much sense. not as in it's difficult to understand, but because it's not fleshed out very well and the tie-ins to japanese mythology and folklore may as well be intangible because of how distant they are. it's just bad writing. idk what else to even say about it that isn't "this is a badly written game" over and over again.

persona 5's writing isn't exactly bad as much as it is overwhelmingly lazy. for example, what better way to rebel against "the establishment" by... recruiting a "good billionaire" into your party. it wants the aesthetics of punk without any of the work in the framing of the conflict. it turns real-world political debates into yet another war against god. worst of all, it's just boring (to me). i got nothing out of it. like, i don't even hate the game enough to go into even more detail, because that would imply some kind of passion. which is probably the worst thing i can say about anything, tbh.

so yeah. just laziness and shallowness that permeates every aspect of the presentation tbh.

First of all, thank you very much for your ask. Knowing that my sims and/or my gameplay can inspire other simmers to play means a lot to me cause The Sims 3 is my favorite game in the whole Sims series. Plus, I love my sims, so this makes me twice as happy. 🤗💖

That said, it is my duty to warn you that The Sims 3 is not an easy game to maintain, it requires a lot of care and patience, even from the moment of its installation. You ask me what it takes to make it run smoothly and make it stable, well I'm no expert, but what helped me with that is all contained in this Steam post. I believe these tips you can follow even if you don't have your game on Steam. I followed all these steps when I reinstalled my game back in 2017-18, and I have never had a problem like lag or crashes since then.

It's thanks to the amazing person who wrote that post and to talented modders like @lazyduchess and Twallan (Nraas Mods), whose mods I consider indispensable, that I have been able to play The Sims 3 without problems for years now. I may have had a couple of crashes due to some wrong or corrupt cc, but that's on me because I download a lot of stuff. In those cases, it's a matter of locating the bad cc, taking it out, and that's it. The game runs great, even with a ton of mods installed. (I have a 9 GB mods folder, and I've had more than that at times, lol, but I try to keep in less than 10 GB always).

As for what mods and cc's to use to make the sims look good, well, that would depend on your taste, or as they say now, on the aesthetics of your game or your sims.

For what it's worth, I have always used Ephemera's E-WEAK skin as default. I also use some other Ephemera's like E-Skin Natural MIX, Asia and Fresh. I use some by Kurasoberina too.

I think Ephemera's site doesn't exist anymore, but the E-WEAK skins I use can be downloaded on MTS here. Kurasoberina TS3 skins you can find them here along with more of their fabulous content.

I'm sure there are other skins much newer, and super nice too, but these are the ones I use, cause they give my sims the look they are known for. 😊

Also I use Tifa N38 default eyes, as well as Buhudain's You Are Real body and face maps replacements to give some realism to my sims' skins/bodies. Neither Tifa's nor Buhudain's sites exist anymore, unfortunately, but you can still find Buhudain's archives on this SFS page. And those of Tifa in this other one in Mega. (I hope I am not doing wrong by sharing them, otherwise I will remove them).

There's also this stunning version of Buhudain's You are Real by @nectar-cellar named You are Hyperreal. :)

As for the rest, if I start listing all the other content I use such as hair, clothes and makeup I would never finish, I'd gladly share my whole mods folder, but I don't want to piss off the creators, or blow-up other players' computers, lol. I'm WCIF friendly, though, so feel free to ask for any specific content, of any type, CAS or Buy/Build, I got my custom content well documented, so I'll provide you with links to any of them.

For the time being, here is this link to my custom Content List on my Blogger. I have kept this list for many years, and I still use most of that content; it may be a little outdated of course, cause I have a lot of new stuff now, so my intention is to update the page soon when/if I have the time. Also, some of the links may not work anymore, if so just let me know and I'll fix them for you if I'm able.

Saw this tag game on another post and thought I'd do it (idk if I've done it before, maybe something similar, but my answers will be different anyway)

1. Were you named after anyone?

Nope My chosen name (Allister) however, is from a youtuber who has a very cool name and I stole it (Alasdair Beckett-King, very funny videos and he has great hair too). I adapted it a bit so people in Spain would at least have an idea of how to pronounce it at first glance (hopefully) It has nothing to do with any Crowley (which I did not realize was a thing until recently), tho for a bit I named myself AJ like Good Omens Crowley, but I don't like how it sounds in Spanish...

2. When was the last time you cried?

3. Do you have kids?

No. And I don't want any. I don't dislike them, but it's not for me

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

Judo, karate and football (the indoors kind). All as a kid/teen. Now my brother and I walk every week day and go up and down stairs (when we remember...) One day I want to try to go to a gym to get some muscle, but not too much, just a bit of definition. Also, I'd enjoy doing rock climbing, but not competitive climbing or anything like that

5. Do you use sarcasm?

6. What's the first thing you notice about people?

Irl: the way they move their face and hands when they speak, which then I subconsciously use to recognize people, bc I'm a bit face blind Online: the way they choose to express themselves

Gray/light blue on the outside and artichoke green/lime on the inside

I like both, but I'd rather watch a happy ending. For scary things I prefer to watch Markiplier's scary games videos

I'm VERY good at jigsaw puzzles

East of Spain, by some of the best Mediterranean coasts 😁. I enjoy it here, but one day I'd like to live in the UK, at least for a bit, I think I'd like it there

Listening to music, singing, making art (crafting, building, drawing, painting, writing, ...), watching media (shows, panel shows, youtube, twitch), video games (rhythm/dancing, platformer, puzzle... Also minecraft, powerwash sim, potion craft...), going for walks, exercise, learning languages (especially English) If I had any good ones close, I'd go to theatres and museums too. And, if I had money, I'd travel. I'm also slowly learning about taking care of plants

12. Do you have any pets?

Not yet. I'd love to have dogs, cats, frogs, snakes... or anything really. I love animals. But I think cats and frogs would be the best fit for me, considering my personality and current lifestyle I've always wanted a dog, but I've only had a turtle and a hamster

1.63m or 5’3”

14. Favorite subject in school?

Biology and technology

15. Dream job?

New Simfornia Republic Army not for you? Why not try the Brotherhood of Simtanium instead, a Sims 3 flavoured version of Fallout: New Vegas' Brotherhood of Steel!

This is available from YA - Elder and can be joined via the Science Lab. You will start out in a general branch, which then splits at the Level 5 promotion point, where you can choose either the Paladin or Scribe branch.

No opportunities, uniforms, or books, and no carpool, so make sure to send your sims to work manually!

Please note if you want to use this, you must have Nraas Careers installed for it to show up!

Each branch has custom tones and skills, which I will list under the cut:

Base branch, levels 1 - 5:

Tones:

Tinker With Spare Parts (Inventing): There’s always scraps lying around. Why not see what you can come up with?

Catalogue Findings (Future Tech): Gadgets and gizmos are forever being dug out of the sand and brought back to base, and it’s very important to know how it works, what it does, and most importantly, how to turn it on.

Repair Equipment (Handiness): Yes, your job is to haul back technology, but you also need to keep order. Make sure your weapons and gear are all up to date.

Levels:

Aspirant - 10 simoleans p/h, 10:00 - 16:00, M-F

Description: Life isn’t the most fun in the wastes. Most of your days can be spent harvesting the least mutated tatos from the community gardens or sweeping giant cockroaches out from your house. On the weekends, you like to poke around the junkyard for something interesting to take apart, and that might be just what the Brotherhood of Simtanium is looking for…

Initiate - 30 simoleans p/h, 08:00 - 17:00, M-F

Description: Who knew that turning up at the local chapter’s bunker and refusing to leave would net you a job? You’re only training at the moment, but you’re one step closer to where you want to be, even if your daily routine consists of patrols of the town square and brewing coffee.

Squire - 37 simoleans p/h, 08:00 - 17:00, M-F

Description: It might only be a baby step, but it’s a step up nonetheless. You’ve been assigned to squire for one of the knights, which isn’t as romantic as the stories make it sound. You’ll need to get good at cleaning weapons, polishing Power Armour, all the while studying to make sure you’ll actually qualify for the knights when the time comes. Best get studying.

Knight - 45 simoleans p/h - 08:00 - 18:00, M-F

Description: Finally, a knight in gloriously chrome armour! Though you’ll be seeing some combat, what you’ll mostly be doing is making weapons for the troops and repairing the ones they break. You’ll need a steady hand and a little imagination before they’ll let you get your hands on the fun toys.

Journeyman Knight - 55 simoleans p/h - 08:00 - 18:00, M-F

Description: You’re finally taking your first tentative steps into the field, taking on more dangerous patrols and venturing further out in search of more interesting gadgets and gizmos. Still, at least the long walks give you time to think, because you’ll soon need to specialise – choose wisely!

Attend Combat Training (Athletic): Your instructors run various workshops on different combat styles; keep yourself sharp by turning up every once in a while.

Maintain Gear (Handiness): It’s a harsh wasteland out there and a jammed gun or rusted chestplate could mean the end of you. Make sure your gear works properly before setting out!

Practise with Energy Weapons (Laser Rhythm-a-con): A strictly classified gun, known only as the laser harp to avoid civilian panic. You’ll need to perfect your “harp playing.”

Description: A Paladin is the Brotherhood of Simtanium’s shining star, someone civilians look up to and kids want to be when they grow up. Now that you’re done with your training you’ll finally be taught how to use Power Armour, and more importantly, the laser harp! Uh, rifle. Definitely a rifle.

Star Paladin - 85 simoleans p/h, 09:00 - 16:00, S,U,W,T

Description: Now you’re actually a big deal, and the higher ups are content to let you out alone and actually argue with them when you’re given a stupid assignment. Sure, it’s a little boring guarding Simberty Prime or casing warehouses in Lunar Lakes, but it sure beats making parts on a factory line!

Senior Paladin - 100 simoleans p/h, 10:00 - 17:00, S,U,W,T

Description: You’ve impressed your superiors enough to rise beyond the rank of Star; you’re shooting for the moon, maybe the whole universe! Keep working at it and you’ll be in line for Head Paladin soon enough; that is, if you’re up to the challenge.

Head Paladin - 150 simoleans p/h, 10:00 - 17:00, S,U,W,T

Description: You’re top of the food chain – at least, in the Paladin chapter. You’re in charge of the green recruits, making sure their training is up to scratch and who is to follow in your footsteps. You’ll need patience, and a lot of it.

Elder - 250 simoleans p/h, 11:00 - 18:00, M,W,F
