Wake up everyone! We finally got the first (and 2nd over-all) Damian and Cassandra team-up in over 13 whole years and its an an angsty story involving brainwashing and assassin kids comforting each other.

The webtoon might not be perfect, but they’re definitely giving us things that the main comics should be giving.

#now its a webtoon so I'm sure everything would resolved next week with a happy ending #but it's still nice to see #I haven't forgiven them for that cringey episode where they kissed Tim's ass and had Damian being jealous of him #I don't think they can every fix that embarrassing storyline #but you know when Tim's isn't around their Damian is a 10/10 #Damian Wayne #cassandra cain

So if the bros actually are in Sarasaland for the sequel, why are they there? And if Daisy does appear, what would her role be? Perhaps something similar to DK’s role in the first movie?

Whatever it is, I hope they establish her as more than just Luigi’s love interest. I’ve seen some people mention how much they want her to appear in the sequel, but it’s only so she and Luigi can make goo-goo eyes at each other and nothing else.

If they are in Sarasaland, I'm going guess either

They need Princess Daisy's help either to find a macguffin or for political allegiance.

They got lost somewhere in their journey (maybe due to a malfunctioning warp pipe) and now need help finding their way home / to The Darklands to save Princess Peach.

In either case, I do imagine Princess Daisy would serve kind of a DK-ish role where she joins them partway through their adventure to give them a leg up. She acts as the muscle, mostly working in the background while having obvious on-screen importance in terms of turning the tide of battle.

As for her interaction with Luigi, I'm with you. Either I want her to have a respectful (albeit a little obvious) crush on Luigi that he stays entirely oblivious to for the entire movie or... better yet... I want them to handle it exactly the same way they handled Peach and Mario's relationship.

There's no moment that sparks fly, but you can see tiny things clicking into place: soft moments of connection and little instances of Daisy paying especially close attention to Lu's emotional state. From a distance it looks like just a strong friendship forming, but if you look harder you can see something a little stronger than that brewing beneath the surface.

#but fr Mario and Peaches relationship is one of the most 10/10 relationships I have seen on screen #on the premise that it's so natural and subtle and soft and innocent #maybe that's just the aro/ace side of me who is annoyed by movies always revolving around the romantic aspect #so them having the romance kind of there but so in the background it can be missed was nice.#There was no payoff of a kiss or a romantic date or even a blushing bashfulness #Mario wasn't there to woo a princess or even be a big hero he was there to save his brother #Peach knows that and wants to help him #but at the same time the way he loves his brother so strongly and is so determined to save him draws her in #endears her to him in a very respectful ''oh you're a kindred spirit'' sort of way #it's nice. d-23 tetrax is cool even if he didnt speak much in the episode, honestly d-23 ben deserved to be smacked around a little (/J /J that kid is like 13 😭), the twist that they were actually the good guys this whole time was great, especially since sixsix was also working with azmuth, which was a nice perspective

i like to imagine that d-23 tetrax is actually a total sweetheart and didnt actually like fighting ben since ben is just a dumb kid who doesnt know any better (even if he is a stubborn brat)

im pretty certain that petropia in the reboot is perfectly fine because for a while Vilgax wasnt. Vilgax, so he couldn't have hired Tetrax to steal whatever that crystal was from petropia then destroy it, so reboot tetrax is just what happens as a result of Tetrax not facing the consequences of his actions so now he's a MEANIE!!! but the dad instinct is still there judging from the way he interacts with Ben in "Mutiny for the Bounty"

as much as i prefer classic tetrax i really like that they went with a completely different approach with reboot tetrax, and like it makes sense too considering theres no way petropia would be destroyed in the reboot as well if vilgax couldnt do it (if petropia were to also get destroyed in the reboot then that would be so funny cause that basically means the planet is fucked no matter what 💀💀), its really cool to see that this might be what tetrax was like before working for vilgax and makes me really think about how different each version of tetrax is, and only makes me even more depressed that we never got prime tetrax in Omniverse, especially since there could've been so many moments where tetrax could've showed up

classic tetrax obviously isnt as cruel and uncaring as we see in the reboot or as he said when he was telling ben about his backstory because if he really didn't care as much but was like "okay this is fucked up i need to get my act together" then he wouldn't have looked so distraught watching his planet fall

i refuse to acknowledge the change in reaction in uaf tho cause it fucking SUCKED they cant just turn him into this stoic fucking guy after he literally shows up and shakes ben like a rattle, that and also they obviously didnt gaf about his backstory cause in the og backstory you can tell petropia's destruction was YEARS, probably decades ago cause he had those back spikes and even a different outfit but in the uaf version its just the same exact model THEY DONT CARE ABOUT TETRAX LIKE I DO!!!!!!

uaf tetrax made me so sad because i was already insane about the idea of dadtrax because of Secret of the Omnitrix, but when tetrax first showed up in uaf he picked up ben and for some reason my first thought was "omg is he going in for a hug" only to have that ripped away from me when he just straight up starts shaking ben around like a ragdoll 😭like imagine you dont see a guy for like 6 years, last time you saw him he helped you save the world/galaxy, and the first thing he does is fucking shatter you for no reason (or at least appears to be no reason), and all you get from it is a "sorry but i had no time to explain", like thats crazy, the REAL tetrax would never harm ben that is his SON !!!!!!!! and then after the single episode we had of tetrax and even petropia we just. never see him or the planet ever again. like we could've had so much world building for petropia and they decided to just throw it out like it was nothing

tetrax is genuinely such a cool character and its horrible how underutilized he is in every show, like yeah he was in 2 (technically 3 counting the reboot) movies but that doesnt really make up for how little we really saw him, especially since like i mentioned earlier prime tetrax wasnt even in OV which is probably the biggest missed opportunity in history, and the strangest part about it is that we got plenty of episodes exploring different planets and even a whole other system (galactic monsters special) so it was literally the perfect opportunity to write an episode about petropia and how its holding up

also never apologize 2 me about rambles, especially rambles about tetrax, i fucking LOVE reading people's silly little thoughts on things they like :3

Regulus Black would so write poetry.

It would only happen every so often (he would be too embarrassed to admit he did it and only turned to his writing at his most desperate times). It would happen quietly and in the dark. With his mind racing and emotions flying through the walls, he would storm into his bed and wandlessly draw the curtains closed, hand automatically reaching under his pillow for the battered leather bound journal.

It would come naturally and the minute the ink hit the paper, the most incredible, heart wrenching, love tragic poems would pour out.

And 20 years later when everything worked out for him and he was living with the love of his life, James would find the journal tucked away in an old box. James knew he shouldn’t read it but can you blame him? What he didn’t expect however- was pages of pages of pure sonnets about Regulus’ love for James and how badly he wanted- needed- him. Regulus would walk in just as James closed the book, tears still streaming from his eyes and more in love than he may possibly has every been. Regulus would stand there stunned for atleast 2 minutes, both of them staring at eachother wordlessly. And with a beat, Regulus’ eyes narrowed, “Well… Don’t let it get to your head or anything, wanker”.

“So Pops is really sending you to take on Bohemian Knight Doma all by yourself?”

“Yeah!” Ace grinned, flexing an arm. “Pretty great, huh?”

Yara shrugged. “I mean, it’s smarter than sending the fleet if we don’t need to. Doma might be stupid enough to encroach on the Whitebeard Pirates’ territory, but he’s not going to turn down a one-on-one challenge when the alternative is facing an entire armada.”

“That’s true, too.” He laughed. “I know I only got this mission because Pops is testing me, but I feel good.” As if to prove his point, a small burst of fire flared out of his fingertips, flames quickly engulfing his entire hand.

“Well, Fifth Division will be lying in wait should you need backup.”

“Pssshh, backup. I’ll kick his ass before he even--”

“Hey, Ace!”

Ace perked up at the familiar voice, glancing over to where a blue-haired man wearing a masquerade-like mask stepped off the gangplank and onto the deck of the Moby Dick. “Any news?”

“Yes. I’ve got the striker operational again. It should be good to go for your mission.”

“Great! Thanks, Deu!”

Masked Deuce smiled, giving his friend-- and former captain-- a polite bow before striding off.

Ace turned back to Yara, grinning. “See?”

Yara tried not to smile as she shook her head. “I still think that thing is a death trap. If you fall off of it while riding the waves, there won’t be anyone around to haul your ass out of the water. The fact that Deuce designed it and not you is the only thing giving me a shred of hope.”

“Hey!” He pretended to be insulted. “I can build stuff.”

“Your attempt at fixing the starboard anchor tells me otherwise.”

“Well, maybe the anchor was being a jerk.”

Yara finally gave in, her shoulders shaking as she laughed, and Ace felt as if he’d won the lottery. His chest puffed up, pleased.

“So…” She leaned back against the wall. “You’ve got your orders, and your-- I hesitate to call it a ‘ship’... Is there anything else you need?”

“How about a kiss before I go?” The words slipped out before he could stop them. Ace’s entire face went beet red. He laughed nervously, waving his hands in the air as Yara’s smile vanished, raising an eyebrow at him instead. “Kidding, kidding!! You don’t have to, um… because we’re not-- I mean… Sorry. Bad joke.”

“Hilarious, Portgas,” she deadpanned.

Ace’s breath hitched as she reached over, placing a finger on the brim of his hat and tugging it down ever so slightly. A shiver ran up his spine, heart drumming erratically in his ribcage. God, she was so close to him, the scent of her favourite vanilla lotion flooding his senses.

A small, bemused smile hinted at the corners of her lips as her hand lowered, and all Ace could think was how badly he wanted to catch it in his own and press kiss after kiss to her knuckles, her palm, her wrist; trailing down her arm until their chests were pressed closely together… letting himself drown in that beautiful gaze of hers as he held her against him, safe and snug…

She picked up the hat’s counterweight from where it hung against his bare chest, smoothing her thumb over the tiny cow skull embedded into the clay disc. “Just… Remember that you’re not invincible, as much as you like to pretend otherwise, Fire Fist.”

“It’s not like you to worry, Hellcat,” he couldn’t help but tease her in return.

Yara let out a soft laugh. “You are going to give me a full head of grey hair by the time I’m forty, you know.”

“And you’ll still be as beautiful as ever. Er, I mean…” Heat rose to his cheeks. “You could pull it off, I’m sure.”

“There you two are, yoi.”

They glanced over as Marco approached them, giving them an amused look. “Yara, I think Vista’s looking for you.”

“Oh. I suppose I should be off, then.” She lightly touched Ace’s arm, making his heart nearly stop. “Good luck, Ace. Even if you don’t think you need it.”

With that, she strode off, heading towards the ship’s main cabins. Ace watched her go, the air around him already feeling colder without her presence.

“You know you’re going to have to tell her someday, yoi,” Marco said, crossing his arms.

“There’s nothing to tell her.”

“Ace…” The First Division Commander’s tone was firm, yet gentle. “You can’t help how you feel.”

“I know, I just…”

“I’m already giving up on Ace, too! I don’t care if he dies or not, I’ll just tell Garp it was an accident. It’s true that the ‘devil’s children have the devil’s luck’, and Ace is the devil’s son!”

He sighed. “She deserves far better than a good-for-nothing guy like me.”

If she knew… There’s no way she could ever…

Marco didn’t look convinced, but he didn’t push it any further, either. The crew had begun to gather around them, cheering as they wished Ace a speedy victory. He waved back, one foot resting on the ship’s railing as he prepared to leap onto the striker, which was waiting in the water below. As he turned around, however, he caught a flash of violet hair. For a moment, he allowed his gaze to linger on her.

Yara seemed to notice, glancing over to meet his eyes. Her lips eased into a confident smile, giving him a slight nod as if to say, you got this. Butterflies burst into his stomach, his heartbeat quickening, beating out a rhythm so desperate, so desiring, so… unworthy. And yet…

Yet he would love her from afar anyways, even if it was the most he could ever do.

thinking about a fic plot where everything is the same except that Tom and Greg had already met each other before the pilot, nine years ago. Greg was 20 and just about to finish his zoology major and Tom was 35, attempting baby steps towards the corporate world. and of course they have their issues then but they're lighter, more content, free-spirited, so to speak. it was only supposed to be weekend break, somewhere near the sea to chill, but then they meet, and kiss, and they're so astounded they end up spending one whole week together because it's just like a dream. then the harsh reality of the real world starts to call. and maybe there's a misunderstanding, they separate thinking they've been rejected by the other, they lose touch. the next time they see each other again is when greg shows up in logan's party, lost and in the need of a job, to come face to face to a very-much-committed-to-shiv tom, older, wilder, but still beautiful. still tom.

#oh my god their first encounter would be so stressful for both of them #ofc tom'd feel super threatened and neurotic. seeing greg next to the roys would simply send him to the edge #in private greg would try to talk about it and tom'd be like. tell anyone about that week and i'll fucking kill you. i will.#he'd say that it was a mistake... ofc thats his years and years of repression talking #but still he offers greg a job. he still says he'll take care of him #because he had felt something on that week that he never felt anywhere else. because greg had never really left his mind.#so they start working together and try really hard to bury it all. cruises happens #the wedding happens #but when it turns 10 years since that week. it all blows up. their feelings find their way to the surface again.#they kiss and kiss and kiss and it's all still so complicated. but at least they're together again.#tomgreg
