Can I request question #41 for Rornir from that questions post?
I'd love to know what all you associate with your beloved bun🥺❤️
Lol I just asked you this one too! If we're talking outside of game, my first thought is music, because I always have music for people. I make playlists, its what I do.
Music I associate with him is BTS, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Wagakki Band and anything with a fun beat. He has quite a few good Selena Gomez on his playlist too. Anything that he can dance to or anything that house and some fun, sweet love songs because he's a gushy guy. Mostly its BTS and Coldplay. I can pull any song from them and "oh Yeah Rornir did......." lol
Tumblr media
Dance He's a dancer main but all of his prefered classes are just ones that move. Ninja, Bard, Red Mage etc. Things that have movement and rhythm. Not just in rotation but animation and job story stuff too. In game, I've bought or quested ever dance I can think of. So he's just a wiggley dancey guy and any good music that comes on, my brain just "how would Rornir dance to this?"
Tumblr media
Culture I consider the culture of Yanxia to include Japanese, Korean and some Mongolian (mostly in the steppes). So I try to incorporate aspects of all of that in his aesthetic. When I see kpop bands or cool korean fashion I'm just "yeah, Rornir would rock that" (see PFP lol) A lot of food especially, because mmmm Japanese and Korean food markets are to die for, so that concept of open market and jsut always food is something I put with Rornir. I'm a huge fan of Japanese culture, history and mythology and I think thats pretty obvious everytime I talk about him.
Tumblr media
Pokemon Okay don't laugh but Rornir has a team. There are just certain pokemon that I instictively put with him and now I can't see them and NOT think of Rornir. Especially Arceus game because...ancient Japan. (I need to replay Violet because that new dlc coming out!) We got Mega Loppunny (because gurl, my boy needs those torn leather/tights), Lucario, Medicham (I still hate fighting this one), Rapid Style Urshifu (because Rornir is associated with wind and water), Sylveon (because fey [Il Mheg is very very special to him] and because its evolved through love) and Hisuian Arcanine (okay this is because Arcanine is bestest boy and MY favourite and he will be on every team I make. always. bestest boy) (art by @/mangomeowie on twitter)
Tumblr media
Spring Sakura, Festivals, Food, Colour, Weather, that energetic vibe. Everything about spring (especially in the far East) just screams Rornir to me. So anytime I'm in a shitty mood, I can think of Spring and think of Rornir and suddenly everything just feels brighter and more energetic. Pretty colours and blossoming trees, all the fun festivals (though most occur through summer), so. much. food. Its just a good time all around and Its all Rornir vibe. Especially at night or in the Rain. Ugh, yes!

A thesis on music
I am usually someone who is very against using "Vibes" as a benchmark of quality for anything, even TV shows and films, from which I have come to expect such things as plot, consistent characterisation, themes and so on. Even The Addams Family/Family Values, which I like just for the ability to hang out however briefly in a world where these characters exist, have meaningful themes and consistent characterisation.
The one exception that I will make is for music, and this is a position I've only come around to recently. But the thing is, music out of all of these art forms was not only made for vibing to, even in the presence of a greater point or theme, but music depends on it to function.
Music lovers can be snobs sometimes, and that's fine. Divide music into categories of pop trash and high art if you must. I'm sure your favourite band's 16 minute songified essay about the deeper meaning of life is intrinsically better than Katy Perry's "Hot and Cold", in which "cold" is uncleverly rhymed with "no" and "up" is uncleverly rhymed with "out".
Pop music fans may likewise turn to people who get enjoyment almost exclusively out of listening to video game soundtracks, because that's not real music. VG soundtrack fans have their own elitism.
The truth is, I think, all music stems from the same basic urge, to pick up an instrument and play it until you've worked out whatever emotions you're feeling.
The thing about emotions is that they're not high art and they don't have to be! We invent music theory, we say "oh here are some concepts like structure, tone colour, texture, harmonies" etc. etc. because applying them well makes music sound more intelligent, and in some ways more creative. But emotions don't have to be creative either, you just have to feel them, and want to express them!
All music is enslaved to the bare-bones idea of banging rocks, plucking strings, and whistling to make noise while you work out your feelings, whether that feeling is as complex as observing the societal incentives that lead to prioritising investing in violence over cultural expression, education, environmental sustainability and other necessities (Coldplay), or the whim of a teenage girl to steal and wear boys' hoodies (Alex Povenmire).
Not kidding when I say listening to those two songs changed my whole perspective. I briefly flirted with the bold take that Everyday Life was the closest Coldplay had ever come to being punk, then I was like "no, that's stupid, just because it's some guy with a guitar and a real, genuine stick-it-to-the-man sort of gripe doesn't make it punk. I got it backwards. Punk is just another way of classifying "music with a stick it to the man sort of vibe".
What I'm trying to say is that musical elitism is the most fake thing ever, your favourite band is your favourite, sure, but it's not somehow intrinsically better than some teenage girl sitting in her bedroom singing about hoodies. Right now I'm listening to the theme from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, not because I have any particular nostalgia or affinity for the show, just because it absolutely slaps and it reflects how I want to feel right now. Sometimes things that evoke a feeling of horror aimed at children are also absolute bangers.
And the thing is, every single piece of music ever written can do that. Sometimes I want to hear about the idiocy of depending on a political revolution to enact meaningful change just because your side is now in charge (The Who). Sometimes I want to hear about the wonderful diversity of the human experience through an unreleased demo track from 2005 (Duran Duran). Sometimes I want to hear an ironic self-aware treatise on the feeling of nostalgia (sloshy, yes, that sloshy).
Other days I might just feel dumb enough to sing "cause you're hot and you're cold, you're yes, then you're nold". That's fine too.

Hello :) My ask is a little special, I’ve never been on a Coldplay blog before but you seem friendly haha
So I have been listening to their music for many years and I was lucky enough to get tickets for their next tour, but even if some of their music has been so important to me I’ve never really been in the fandom and I wanted to learn more about it. I saw videos from concerts but I’m not quite sure how the fans are like ? Are there things I should know before going ? Are there any songs that are fans favorites or have a special place in concerts ? (Even if you didn’t go to one of them before, I thought maybe you could know)
I’m also trying to catch up on all of their albums because I really know between 25 or 30 songs.
And if you have any content from the fandom to recommend in general <3 (masterposts, blogs, or anything really, I’m just curious)
I saw you got tickets too btw I’m so happy for you !
(And sorry for my English, it’s not my first language)
Hi Anon!!
First of all, congrats on getting tickets - I hope you have a wonderful time!
In my experience, Coldplay fans tend to be really nice people. I wouldn't say there's a really fixed demographic, but everyone I've ever met has been really friendly and enthusiastic. Of course, as Coldplay is such a large band, there will be a fair amount of people there who aren't really massive "fans" and are more there for the experience...and thats okay too!
As Coldplay release more and more albums and have more and more hit songs, the setlist is becoming more and more catered to the big hits (think Viva La Vida, Fix You, The Scientist ect.). I would recommend listening to the live albums strongly - they'll give you a good idea of what has been played before.
Also...the documentary is really good! It has a lot of concert footage in and is really interesting for fans.
In terms of other content, good question!!
Here is a "Beginners guide to Coldplay"
Here is an (out of date) album tag urself
@flamingplay @coldplayfeels @swallowedinthestars @mylovida @clodplaye are all excellent blogs! People drop in and out of the fandom but we're a fairly small and friendly bunch really.
My favourite album of all time is Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends...but you've got plenty of time to listen to all of them and see what you like!
I have a bunch of good Coldplay YouTube videos for you... see links under the cut because its getting a little long....
But yes...other Coldplay blogs please feel free to add anything on that I've missed. Due to adult life pressures and stuff, I am not as in-tune with the fandom as I used to be

georgia warr
never been in love - gatlin
a song about wanting to be in love but not being able to be in love, which is very fitting for georgia’s initial situation. i’ve put this at the beginning of this playlist because - spoiler alert - the last song on here is also called never been in love and i think these two songs symbolise georgia’s journey in a very mint way. also, the first line of this song is “that boy from georgia was so sweet” which i think is pretty funny
somebody to love - queen
the title says it all. georgia wants to find somebody to love. i mean, she’s already found them, but we’ll get to that later.
paradise - coldplay
georgia is a big dreamer and yearner and i think this song really encapsulates that on so many levels. i mean “when she was just a girl / she expected the world / but it flew away from her reach / so she ran away in her sleep” that’s georgia !
tous les garçons et les filles - françoise hardy
french song because i’m ~quirky~ but this song is basically about seeing everyone else be in relationships and feeling lonely/wanting one for yourself
waiting for love - avicii
georgia is a hopeless romantic, but she’s still waiting for her own grand romance (she still hasn’t realised that the “love” she’s “waiting for” has already “come around”)
dear no one - tori kelly
georgia “i want someone to be in love with but there is no one” warr, at least at the beginning of the book
chaos - miki fiki
this song can be interpreted with various themes of the book in mind such as yearning for something you don’t have, feeling lonely, emotional turmoil, etc, it’s a banger
i walk a little faster - fiona apple
highjacked from @kindaorangey’s loveless playlist (they’ve done a great rundown here). this song has similar themes to dear no one, anticipating that romance will come to you, but it hasn’t, despite how hard you chase it, how fast you walk
when - dodie
shoutout to @drarrystar for recommending this song to me because so many of the lines reflect georgia to the core. just look up the lyrics and you’ll agree
deeper - ella eyre
“cause i’m scared, i can’t lie / i don’t feel the same inside / i can’t decide if i have the heart to confess” georgia thinks she can learn to love jason romantically if she just digs a little deeper
loneliness for love - lovelytheband
“anything at all not to feel alone / anything at all just to feel whole / ‘cause i keep mistaking loneliness for love”
a little more - alessia cara
“there you are with your college friends / you played in a marching band / i can't help but wish i knew you then / but i guess i know you now // it looks as if i've stumbled right into the palm of your hand // hey, you / hey, mr. knock on my door / i'm sorry that I've been emotions galore / am i crazy for wanting a little bit more? / a little more of you” georgia about sunil. she needs their guidance and wishes he’d been there for her earlier.
stuck in california - rightfield
a song about feeling alone and alienated by everyone and everything around you, and waiting for your “stars to align”, which fits georgia if you ask me
seven - taylor swift
georgiapip song !!!!!! it’s also about how alienating it can be to grow up and lose your childhood innocence, and i have a lot of thoughts about a very specific brand of growing pains that come with being aspec, but that’s a topic for another day
te amo - rihanna
this is a song about having someone be romantically in love with you and the heartbreak that comes from not being able to reciprocate those feelings --> georgia about jason
love love love - of monsters and men
same as te amo. it hits especially hard when you do love the other person so fucking much
ceiling won’t break - finish ticket
this song gives me georgia’s emotional turmoil vibes, also the line “i see no lights ‘cause the lights weren’t aimed at me” can be interpreted in a “cupid’s arrows didn’t hit georgia” way if you get what i mean
lack of emotion - skott
once again we are dealing with themes of not being able to feel the emotions that you “““““should”““““ feel for someone
let me go - hailee steinfeld
another song about georgia and jason’s (romantic) relationship and how it was doomed to fail from the beginning so she hopes he can let her go
i’m so tired - lauv, troye sivan
i’m just thinking about that line in loveless where georgia resentfully realises how many songs are about romantic love. she’s just so tired
crush culture - conan gray
and another song about being resentful of our romance-obsessed society, which georgia certainly is plenty of times throughout the book
home - ella eyre
christmas break time babey !!!! georgia has reached her low point and she’s going home
i love my car - belle & sebastain
“I pressed a cold hand against my car, which was as far up the drive of our house as it could get. I’d missed my car.” - loveless by alice oseman, celebrating all kinds of love since 2020
i’ve never written a song about a boy - eva westphal
this was actually recommended to me by @michaelholdenn for this playlist ! a song about the liberation that comes with not having to force attraction anymore
this is home - cavetown
i think months ago some ask told alice that this is a loveless song and i agree
why can’t we be friends - jordy searcy
this is about georgia’s strained relationship with pip and jason after the bailey ball and how she wishes they could just be friends again, the way they were all throughout their childhood
chiquitita - abba
okay fuckers THIS is literally the LOVELIEST song about friendship and wanting to be there for your loved ones and i’m sure georgia relates
open up - matt simons
“you’re hard to talk to with that wall around you” vs. “rooney had a solid brick wall round some part of her that nobody was allowed to know.” basically, georgia wants rooney to open up to her
just fucking let me love you - lowen
okay, yes, this song is very gay, but i think it can be applied to georgiarooney too ! the frustration this song expresses of wanting to shake someone and scream at them to just fucking let you love them is definitely shown in loveless when it comes to those two
less than i do - the band camino
georgia about pip. she hopes that pip will forgive her eventually. i mean look at the line “i still have your denim jacket” in the song - georgia still has pip’s jacket too, it’s perfect !!!
friends will be friends - queen
if loveless taught us anything it’s that friends sure fuckin will be friends
stick with me - olly murs
“we all get lonely / trying to find a place where we should be / trying to find someone to set us free / there are times a friend is all you need” you know when alice said that every character in the book feels “loveless” in some way at one point or another, but they all learn the value and importance of platonic love? yeah.
your song - moulin rouge
“and then, with three accompanists, i stood on a boat on the river wear and sang ‘your song’ - the version specifically from moulin rouge - to pip quintana, who didn’t yet know me as well as i wished she did, but despite that, was one of my favourite people i had ever met.”
wherever i live - alessia cara
you know the scene after georgia leaves pip and rooney to their first kiss? yeah, this song really reflects that mindset of half loneliness, half acceptance to me. listen to it.
take time - honest men
accepting your identity takes time ! even by the end of loveless there’s still days when georgia wishes she wasn’t aroace and the book presents this in an amazing and properly nuanced way !
die alone - finneas
"you asked me, ‘do you wanna die alone / or watch it all burn down together?’ / i said i’d rather try to hold on to you forever” this song is very much georgiarooney - finding each other in their darkest of days and watching everything they thought they knew (amatonormativity) burn down. together.
no lover - jetty bones
the next few songs are basically just one aro anthem after the next. this is another recommendation from @michaelholdenn - “maybe i don’t need a lover, i just need the friend”
solo - carly rae jepsen
highjacked from @kindaorangey’s loveless playlist. amazing anthem about how it’s okay to be single and how romantic love isn’t as fulfilling as society makes it out to be anyway
trust my lonely - alessia cara
i think in georgia’s case this song can be interpreted as her learning to finally let go of her pre-conceived notions of what love is and what she should want, her learning to “trust her lonely”, though lonely here just means romance-less
love is a town - josh gilligan
“if [romantic] love is a town then i’m passing through" yeah, romance is not for georgia and she’s starting to accept that.
new romantics - taylor swift
the loveless gang is the new romantics !!! they’re redefining love and romance !!!
team - lorde
“and everyone's competing for a love they won't receive / 'cause what this palace wants is release” anyway, let’s go found family song
wild things - alessia cara
now, i don’t know if alessia cara is queer but I DARE YOU to look at the lyrics of wild things and not tell me that this is the ULTIMATE queer anthem about found family and saying fuck you to respectability politics. i DARE you. anyway, loveless is also about found family and saying fuck you to respectability politics so it’s very fitting
never been in love - will jay
full circle babey !!!!! this is THE aro anthem so obviously i had to add it and comparing the “never been in love / and it’s all good” to the “never been in love / and i fucking hate that i couldn’t make it past a crush” message from the first song we can really reflect georgia’s journey of self-acceptance in loveless which i love a lot

Do you take lessons for anything? No. I’ve done so in the past, but not at the moment.
Has something really heavy ever fallen on you?  Other than siblings or cousins from when we played together as kids, I don’t think so.
If you wear makeup, what colors do you usually wear?  I never wear makeup but whenever my friends have used my face as a practice stage (lol) they’ve usually just used natural or nude-ish colors, which I find look okay on me.
Does your shower have curtains or a glass door/wall? It has a sliding door. I’m not sure what material it’s made out of, but I can tell you it’s at least not glass.
If you have more than one pet, do they ever get jealous of each other?  Cooper does tend to bark and/or whine when he sees me giving more attention to Kimi, but not always. Kimi couldn’t give less of a crap, but this is also because he is 13.
Is there a room in your house that you don’t like going in? I used to not like being inside my bedroom, especially after the breakup. For a long time it was a place I only associated with crying and breakdowns, so when I was doing the arduous task of starting over I haaaaated staying there because it only hurled me right back to square one. But I’m happy to say that I eventually got better, had enough strength to change the narrative for my room, and now I like being here again :)
Do you remember the last question you were asked? What did you answer? My mom just asked me to watch Cooper because he was having the zoomies.
Besides salt and butter, do you put anything on your popcorn?  Not a big fan of popcorn but if I had to pick a topping, I’d go with cheddar cheese.
Are you lonely?  I’ll feel it sometimes, but it only lasts for a moment or so.
What’s your favorite magazine to read?  Wow I haven’t read a magazine in years.
Do you like pineapple?  I hate it. In all forms. The pizza debate doesn’t even matter to me lmao, I just think pineapple downright sucks.
Have you ever seen fireflies? They used to be common in our village when we first moved in, back when there were only like 3 houses in the neighborhood (we were one of the first to move in here). As more houses were built and the place got more occupied the fireflies gradually lessened until they disappeared altogether.
Have you ever trespassed?  I very vividly remember taking multiple trips to the school cemetery back in grade school (I went to Catholic school and ours had a cemetery below our chapel, where all our deceased nuns were housed...I really shouldn’t be talking about this at 10 PM...). I am 100% sure that was an off-limits area but we went there anyway because we were a naughty group of kids and because no one was guarding the area.
Do you tell your parents where you are going? Yeah; if I live with them, they have the right to know. < Ooh, I’ve never even thought about it this way before but this is a very good point. I’ll second this, haha.
Do you agree with the notion that all people were created equal? Yes.
Do you raise your hand or participate in class? God never. I hid as much as I can and only recited if I was called on purpose.
Do you like visiting the mall? Why or why not?  I like the malls that we have. But then again, malls are the only decent public spaces we have - we don’t have public libraries, parks, playgrounds, etc. – so it’s not like I have a choice on where I can go if I want to go out.
Have you ever purposely hurt an animal?  Yeah I kill bugs when I see them. Soz, I have no feelings for them whatsoever.
Would you ever see a therapist?  I planned to finally do this last year but it just fell through haha and eventually I was able to care for myself too. Now that I’m doing a lot better for the most part, I feel like I’d have no clue what to talk about once faced with one.
Are you afraid of heights?  Only if I had to jump all the way down. But if I ever found myself staying at an extreme height simply to enjoy the view, or if I was ever in one of those towers where the top floor’s floor is made out of glass, I think I would enjoy that.
Are you afraid of the dark?  I always say I’m usually not afraid of the dark, and will only be if I was in a situation that was intended to scare me. I would definitely be afraid of the dark if I was in like an abandoned cave or a haunted house, but I would also find the darkness in my room comforting.
Are you a jealous person?  When I am it’s mostly been in a playful sense and rarely serious.
When is your birthday? April 21st.
What are you listening to right now? My very very old aircon doing its very very loud whirring thing. It’s become a running joke in the family because it is literally SO FUCKING LOUD hahahaha Have you ever been caught doing something you weren’t supposed to be doing?  As a goody-goody, I can only ever do this to my mom; but yeah, she’s caught me many times.
Are you still friends with someone from kindergarten?  Sure, but I’m not ~close friends with any of them. Just chummy enough to like their photos on social media once in a while or greet them happy birthday. My oldest friend was from Grade 1.
What is the most important thing to you?  Being happy with myself and making sure I don’t miss out on life and opportunities.
Do you like whipped cream?  I can take it or leave it.
Are you close to your mother?  We get along but not close.
Are you close to your father? I’m closer to him in the sense that I would be more comfortable around him, but we’re also not physically or emotionally close.
Do you walk around bare foot when you're at home? Or do you wear socks?  I am Asian hahaha what do you think?
Do you like chocolate popsicles?  Sure! One would sound lovely right now, actually.
Would you ever be your school’s mascot who wears that costume?  Both of the schools I’ve attended don’t have mascots.
Would you rather see the Great Wall of China or Big Ben?  Great Wall for sure. Sorry but I can’t see myself getting excited over a giant clock, and I’m sure there are other lovely spots in London I’d much rather visit.
Have you ever written a poem?  Always unsuccessfully. It’s never been my forte.
Would you ever be a tornado chaser?  That’s a thing? Uh...no way??
What is your favorite thing to eat with bbq sauce, if you even like that stuff?  Pizza. And anything, I guess. Barbecue sauce is the bomb.
Your parents tell you that this summer, you get to pick the vacation. Where do you plan to go?  Covid notwithstanding and budget permitting, probably New York City.
What do you think is a good theme for a prom?  I could not care less.
Have you ever had to do a class in summer school? Thankfully, never.
Do you get nervous when you go to the doctor? About what?  You know, I’ve always thought going to the doctor was no sweat until I realized just how nervous I was when I had to book a telemedicine consultation once as part of my job (PR can make you do the most random, out of context things sometimes, I swear haha). I surprised even myself with the reaction I had when I found out I had to do it, and how I felt like declining the offer...I guess I was scared about the possibility of underlying health issues suddenly being unearthed. Your whole life can always get turned upside down in the blink of an eye with just one diagnosis.
Have you ever been to the rainforest?  I’m pretty sure the climate I live in is called tropical rainforest, so I guess yeah.
Have you ever created a website?  Not from scratch. I had always made it under an umbrella website, like Blogspot.
Ever thought about writing a book?  Sure, as a kid.
Have you ever had a dream where you killed someone?  No. Whenever I have dreams of that nature it’s always me or a loved one being killed, but never me doing the killing.
Do you ever make up stories in your head and wish they come true? Yes.
Which is worse: stuffy nose or runny nose?  Stuffy. It sucks not being able to breathe freely.
Which is worse: Sick to your stomach or sore throat?  I super hate sore throat. I already get stomachaches frequently, so even though I know how sucky it can be I feel like the discomfort would be bigger with a sore throat.
Do you think your last relationship was a disaster?  The way it ended was, but it wouldn’t be fair to myself to invalidate the genuine happiness I felt when I was in it.
Have you ever solved a Rubik’s Cube?  Never.
Who do you think is the easiest to talk to?  Angela.
Would you consider yourself to be emo?  No.
Do you have a favourite metal band or do you not like metal?  Not really, no.
What is your current desktop picture?  It’s just one of the provided desktop photos on my Mac.
Thick or thin blanket?  Thick.
Who are your favorite bands?  Paramore, Coldplay, and Against Me!
How do you mark through your word search puzzles?  Depends on my mood. Sometimes I’ll strike through and sometimes I’ll go ahead and encircle the entire word altogether.
Have you ever sewn something?  I’ve done embroidery...does that count?
What did you eat for dinner last night?  We had breakfast for dinner, actually hahaha so my dad made an omelette, hotdogs, and tapa.
Ever been grounded? If so, for what?  Continued from last night. Yes, I was caught cursing all over Twitter when I was like 11 so my parents cut off my access to all my gadgets for a year or so. Which, in retrospect, is an acceptable consequence for my actions, but we’re also talking about a time when schools were starting to view the internet as a necessity in doing homework and research. I missed out on nearly all my homework for a while, and my mom didn’t buy it when I kept telling her I needed to do my research over the internet. At the same time, she kept demanding why my grades weren’t doing so well when she was the reason they kept being pulled down...so yep, not a very fun time.
Have you seen all of the Jaws movies?  No and I don’t really have the desire to. Doesn’t seem like my kind of movie.
When was the last time you played cards? (not on the computer)  Maybe 2 or 3 years ago.
Have you ever drank Cherry Coke? No, I don’t drink any soda.
Have you ever had a black eye?  Nope.
Have you ever eaten a bug?  Not to my recollection, but I would love to try cooked crickets and whatever bug can be prepared and eaten.
Do you like pranking people?  Never; the idea makes me cringe since I never know when it’s considered going too far. I’d rather watch people prank other people.
Did you ever take a cooking class in school?  Yeah, but we were required to take it. We also had some baking sessions, which to me was a lot more fun. I remember having to make macarons and rainbow cake which are both right up my alley, heehee.
Do you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?  No, idk what that is. I just know people turn everything green on that day lol.
Do you use Skype?  I’ve never used Skype on my own. That’s where I used to talk to my dad for video calls maybe around a decade ago, whenever he was abroad; but I never had my own account. These days I alternate among Microsoft Teams, Google  Meet, or Zoom.
Have you ever participated in local magazine cover girl searches?  I don’t think so, but I did join a few contests on some of those kid’s magazines we used to have...none of which I won.
Have you ever been called a skank/slut because of the way you dress?  No.
Is your ex sexually attractive to you still?  I haven’t seen her in 5 months, which helps...that said, I simply feel nothing. I’m neither sexually attracted nor not sexually attracted to her.
Describe the most romantic moment you’ve ever had.  I can think of one but I don’t see the point in still raising it, considering where I am in life right now.
Have you ever cheated on a test?  Yes, once. I hated it.
Have you ever been to couple’s counseling? Nope.
How often does your employer ask you to work overtime?  A few times a week. Sometimes I’ll do it willingly as well just to get the task over with or to save myself some deliverables the next morning. I’m fine with OT-ing tbh; since I work from home, I feel like my time is a lot more flexible.
Did you often read for fun when you were a kid? I read A LOOOOOT as a kid. I was a total bookworm. < Yeah, same. You could always find me bringing a book to school and reading during breaks, even though they technically didn’t allow us to bring any non-academic book. My spark for reading died when I was around 12, same time as when my depression started to kick in, and it never really came back.
When was the last time you were scared?  Someone from the media called me up yesterday VIA LANDLINE to ask a question about a press release I had sent out that day. I usually read up on the materials we have, but I honestly didn’t give a shit about that particular story and didn’t really make an effort to know more about it, so I found myself stumped when he dropped the question. I ended up stalling for a bit before I was able to stutter an answer, so that was scary, but at least he was nice. Also, I hate phone calls.
What’s your favorite song by Rihanna?  KISS IT KISS IT BETTER
Can you speak binary?  No, I never understood it.
Would you rather live somewhere that had hurricanes or tornadoes?  I already do, at least for hurricanes. I imagine I’d be terrified of tornadoes.
Have you ever had a pet that you disliked?  Nooooooo, never. I was never close to Arlee but I still did my best for her to like me, and always fed her whenever my sister would be in her dorm.
When was the last time you saw hail?  Never. Doesn’t happen all that often here, and when it does it’s always in the provinces.
What is on your mind right this second:  I want to spend my remaining time awake reading fanfic (I’m into them again, omg) but I also wanna finish surveys...so I’m doing my best to breeze through this so I can finally look for something to read hahahahaha.
Have you ever given a nickname to your pet(s)?  Cooper is Cooperino to me. Sometimes I’ll call him Cooperino Cappuccino. Kimi is Kimchi, Kimmerl, Kimberly, The Kimster, and sometimes Lolo, which is grandpa in Filipino heheh.
When was the last time you shaved your legs?  Like 3 or 4 days ago.
Do you ever try free samples at the store?  Nope.
Do you like boys with long hair?  Physical traits don’t matter much to me.
Do you like rootbeer?  I’ve never tried it but I don’t really want to either haha. It smells weird.
What is the best fast food place, in your opinion?  KFC or Taco Bell. Or Jollibee.
Do you have faith in yourself?  Starting to.

Favourite OC:
Literary - Elizabeth Bennet/ Fitzwilliam Darcy (Pride and Prejudice - no excuse, ever, to not read this. Every romance has germinated from the mind of Austen!) & Feluda (The Adventures of Feluda by Satyajit Ray - THIS GOT ME TO WRITING OK!)
Comic - Tintin (Hergé. Yes, I have all the collection of every Tintin comic made. Blistering blue barnacles - this has my entire childhood & adulthood ok).
Hindi TV - Maya Sarabhai (Sarabhai V/S Sarabhai - you HAVE to watch this, I implore you)
English TV - Mr Bean (Mr Bean - my life)
Hindi Film - Amrita (Thappad - this film captures the strength of the subtle!)
English Film - Kylo Ren/Ben Solo (Star Wars. I maybe biased to Adam Driver for his phenomenal acting skills and *cough* looks. But, it’s been a LONG time since we had a ‘villain’ with so many complexities, layers and humanity and Driver seems to have mastered the arch of vulnerability and strength. Why didn’t the writers give him more???)
Sweet, Savoury or Spicy:
Savoury.
As much as I love sweets...  it’s best measured and treasured. And as much as I love spicy, I’m having a mucus waterfall and red eyes after one normally spiced Korean ramen packet... *my sad life*
Sparkling water, tea or coffee: Why is there no milk or juice? This baby doesn’t have Chai until she’s sick nor coffee until she has to be up all night for an exam.
And let’s not talk about the blasphemy done to water.
“Sparkling water was invented by the devil to steal your soul” - @ferociouspompom, 2020
Masala chai with lots of milk and sugar (my cheat drink in winters).
Pets:
I had lots of fish - one big one stayed with me for 12 years! He was born when I was so letting go was hard. Though we never named him...
Right now I’m just playing with the pets of my landlady and they are adorable and my life! (Three cats, one is called Georgie and he’s a little food monster).
If you have survived this long post, thank you and salute to your patience! I hope I haven’t weirded you out enough.
Tagging: @m0hinii, @zapphireblr, @disneyprincessashley, @paobhaji, @legendarydoodlefanmixclam @ansfans @shaonharryandpannisim
(Damn I don’t know anyone else...  so anyone actually anyone reading this please don’t hesitate to do this too - and don’t forget to tag me so as to I can read!)

this might be too many XD but for pretentious music fan asks: 2, 6, 7, 12, 16, 19, 22
Thank you!! 😊
2) what band/ artist needs more love?
Kaizers Orchestra! 😃 They need to make a comeback already - I need to see them live at least once before I die.
6) when someone asks you for a music recommendation what bands/ artists do you say?
Depends what music they’re already into. If it’s someone trying to get into rock, Queen usually work as a good gateway band purely because of how many catchy hits they have. One of my friends at work is only just getting into rock (he mainly loves soul) after falling in love with Black Sabbath’s Paranoid album, so I mentioned Deep Purple and Pink Floyd as other bands he might like. Biffy Clyro and Cocteau Twins tend to be my go-to for Scottish artists... honestly at this point, @rock-n-roll-fantasy could answer this question better than I can considering how many recommendations I’ve thrown her way over time 😅
7) how much do you actually like those artists, be honest.
I love all the artists I mentioned. I can’t really think of a specific example where I recommended an artist I didn’t regularly listen to myself, but I imagine it must have happened once or twice...
12)  what was the first artist you remember being pretentious about?
Honestly, it was probably Muse 😅 They were the first band I truly fell in love with on my own without any parental influence, so I was really protective of them for a few years and thought they were the greatest thing on earth. I’m slightly more relaxed about them now; even though I doubt they’ll ever be robbed of their status as my favourite band, my attitude now is very much one of ‘Yes they’re idiots, but they’re *my* idiots!’
16) how do you feel about artists “selling out”?
For the most part I think the concept of artists ‘selling out’ is bullshit and is just used as a blanket term for certain fans who are annoyed that they have to share *their* band/artist with more people. I can certainly think of examples of bands who seem to have become less interesting as their popularity grows (Coldplay comes to mind), but artists becoming more popular and being able to fill arenas rather than tiny venues isn’t a bad thing - musicians need to eat! 😅 I also think the term ‘selling out’ is used far too often when bands go beyond their comfort zones and experiment with other styles, which just strikes me as being creatively stifling.
19)  what artist did you know about before they got big?
I’m rubbish when it comes to being ahead of the curve with new artists 😅 The closest I can think of (even though they’re not particularly ‘big’) is Jaded Hearts Club; I remember when they were supposed to be a one-off tribute act for a friend’s birthday party and now they’ve got an album coming out and a tour in the works.
22)  what artist did you try to like because you thought they were “cool”, but just couldn’t get into?
When I was a teenager a lot of my friends were really into Slipknot, but try as I might I just never understood the hype. Same thing with Panic! At the Disco and Paramore - one of my friends at school really loved them, but I just never found them interesting despite trying to give both bands a chance.

Wearing: Plaid PJ leggings, a gray T-shirt, and an oversized dark gray cardigan.
Instrument: I used to play piano. I was self-taught so, therefore, not very good, but I could play “Love Story” by Taylor Swift and “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls. I was very proud of that lmao. I also played the acoustic guitar for a little while.
Random Fact: A horsefly once bit me while I was upstate in a log cabin with my family, and it was a traumatic experience. I had no idea flies could bite like that lol. Very painful. 0/10 would not do again.

Querida Tiffany (HEH):
Su historia me parece sumamente triste, so...
Siempre has sido bien linda conmigo y MUY, MUY DIVERTIDA, en verdad me has hecho reír demasido.
                                                 — andy ♡. 🎅

Spotlight - Olivia Lunny
It's time for some new music and today our Spotlight - Olivia Lunny. Hailing from Winnipeg Manitoba, Olivia is coming off a win on season 2 of The Launch. We were excited to spend some time talking about her love of music and the new release of Think of Me out now!
Tumblr media
You come from a quite creative family, your brother and manager Christian is the CEO and co-founder of several impressive companies. Have you 2 always been competitive with each other? Supportive? What was it like growing up in a household with 2 incredibly passionate and creative types? My brother and I have always been each other's biggest cheerleaders. Growing up and witnessing his success was incredibly motivating and led me to the mindset that anything is possible if you practice patience and hard work. We definitely feed off of each other's energy and passion- that being said, we both have very strong personality types so we have our fair share of debates and challenge each other's ideas often. I definitely feel blessed we get to work as a team. Since he’s come on board as management we’ve really taken things to the next level. I’m really looking forward to what we can accomplish in the years ahead as a team/sibling duo. You are very passionate about Winnipeg, your home town, boosting it up, but with travelling around the country, do you still think you guys have the best poutine? Favorite place in Canada you’ve played so far (other than hometown faves)? Where’s somewhere you want to play here in Canada? Winnipeg will always have my heart! Our poutine however was one-upped when I tried the poutine of ALL poutine’s last summer in Quebec City (at FEQ)!  (Winnipeg remains a close second...) I had the chance to play In PEI at the Cavendish festival last summer and that was a huge highlight. Such a dreamy place. Future wise, I would love to hit the West Coast and play in Vancouver someday soon! Who is your biggest music inspiration and why? I always find this question so difficult to answer. Over the years I’ve been exposed to so much different music. Because of this, my inspiration has come from a collective group of artists. Coldplay will always however be one of my first and present favourite bands. (I admire their authenticity and identity in their sound!) The video for Blacklight, super cool, great song, talk us through the inspiration for that. After being on The Launch were you a bit more comfortable with the creative process in the video. Thank you!! Blacklight was the first music video/shoot I had ever been a part of. Through being on the launch, I really evolved both as a person and artist. I feel that Blacklight was the first project “post launch” where I got to explore another side to my artistry. The video itself represents how people run from their insecurities. In the case of the video, “insecurities” are shown as people lurking in the shadows. This video was so fun to shoot and the director Haille Tut is such a talented up and coming fellow female creative. What is the best advice you've been given so far? Be patient & the only person you’re competing against is yourself. I find it so easy to get distracted and start comparing goals to others etc. irony is, when you can stay disciplined and zoom into your own goals/ life- that’s when you will become the happiest and most successful. Big year for you, winning CTV’s the Launch, must’ve been pretty wild, walk us through what that was like, how it felt to win. 2019 was a very surreal and crazy ride- I went on The Launch with absolutely no expectations. I was the most excited to simply have my music heard by such a large television audience. Winning opened up a whole new chapter for me and I’m forever grateful for my time on the launch because of that. Receiving validation from industry moguls was 100% the reassurance I didn’t know I needed. This really helped me gain some confidence on the writing side of things and at the same time was incredibly humbling. The music industry is a wild place, every artist's journey is so individually unique, and I feel blessed that this opportunity has become a big part of my story and stepping stone so early on in my career. What was the experience like working with Scott Borchetta? Scott is such a kind and passionate human being. I really felt supported and respected working with him. He also has a great ear for music so receiving positive feedback from him was amazing. You received a lot of praise from Jann Arden specifically, what’s it like having a Canadian icon gush over you so blatantly? The “gush” was 110% reciprocal! Jann is so talented and an iconic Canadian. Hearing her speak the way she did about my music was a surreal and special moment. I will always hold that moment in my heart. What was the process like writing with Tyler Shaw for the new single Think Of Me? Tyler is one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve met. I found the writing process with him very easy and organic. I think our styles of music blend really nicely, so collaborating has been really fun. What is the story you are trying to tell with your music? What’s the story behind Think Of Me? I almost always draw inspiration from personal experiences (whether I’m aware of that or not). The narrative in my songs explore the different perspectives and sides to experiencing love. Think of Me is a post break up anthem with a nostalgic feel. I had gone through a recent break up, Tyler had a concept and melody idea, 3 hours later the song was born! With the new release is there any plans for shows and or tours coming up? Yes- I hope so! The world’s chaotic right now though so I think the most important thing we can do is stay home and enjoy music digitally Finally what would you like to tell your fans? Thank you for listening, thank you for allowing me to create. xoxo Check out Think of Me available now! To keep up to date with Olivia Lunny visit her website! http://www.olivialunny.com/

Hewwo do the desolation, THE SLAUGHTER, the vast, the buried andddd the dark pwease
Hewwo I can’t believe u made me type that
The Desolation: have you ever been in love?
I used to think I’d been in love but after literally a year I’ve kind of realised that I was never really in love with him? And it was unhealthy as fuck lol
The Slaughter: what kind of music do you like?
Most kinds tbh I’ve grown up on depeche mode and rock music which I love but I probably tend to gravitate towards folksy music like Hozier, Mumford & sons. But then my favourite band is Coldplay which is a mixed bag of music.
The vast: can you swim?
Yes but only if my head is below the water otherwise I sink
The buried: how do you do in large crowds?
It depends on the type of large crowd tbh like if it’s a big crowd in the city or at a concert then I’m fine, but if it’s at a convention or sm like that I do terribly and get nauseous and start to loose my hearing
The dark: dark colours or pastels?
Dark colours and forest greens all the way baybeee!!

Y’know what
let’s do some tag games. @ssimsass tagged me in one of them a while ago but I kept postponing. Well, now I kinda wanna do it together with another one I came across, so I will because i can
MUSIC TAG GAME
Rules: list ten songs you’re currently obsessed with and tag ten people to do the same!
I’m currently listening through the discographies of a bunch of bands, so there will be a lot of them here. I haven’t put them in a particular order
1.Tiny Dancer, Elton John - because this song seems to be unable to leave me alone and my brain keeps replaying it for some reason. Still a lovely song. 2. Paint It Black, The Rolling Stones - The more I listen to them, the more I realize I don’t like them nearly as much as the Beatles (or Abba, or Queen, or a lot of other bands) but this is my favourite RS song and it kicks serious ass. 3.You and I, Queen - Not very well known but catchy as hell. 4.Major Minus, Coldplay - Genuine rocker from a band that I really like, so I guess there’s no surprise here. 5-Up With The Birds, Coldplay - Strange little song that captivates me a lot, I love it. 6-Something About The Way You Look Tonight, Elton John - Idk really what to say, it’s just a hella good song. 7-Rock me, ABBA - Well, the best way to put this is... this song rocks me. 8-Take My Breath Away, Queen - Underrated 9-The Millionaire Waltz, Queen - y e s  p l e a s e 10-Eleanor Rigby, The Beatles - It would have felt weird not to include any Beatles song even though I’m finished listening to all their albums (except for the anthologies). Well, this is my favourite song ever and I guess I’ll never get over it because Vivaldi and because Paul.
SIX CRUSHES TAG GAME
These are in order from the lesser to my one and only husbando.
6. Jon Cozart (aka Paint)
Tumblr media
It used to be much stronger in the past, but I still love this dude’s music, the way he uses random objects to create music and his voice is so sweet I wanna die.
5. Oliver Thorne (Philosophy Tube)
Tumblr media
Maybe It’s just british charm, maybe it’s the way he frames his videos and the enormous effort he puts in them. Maybe it’s the fact that finally I get the buzz around philosophy (thanks to Contrapoints too but I like men, sorry) thanks to him, the rogue prince of YouTube.
4. Markiplier
Tumblr media
His voice soothes my soul, I love the fact that he seems really smart, even though he acts like he’s not. Plus, he has a really infectious way of laughing and his videos are sometimes so dank I can’t help myself.
3. Grian
Tumblr media
I don’t even know where to start with this guy: he’s a cat daddy, he loves playing around, he goes to great lengths to surprise his friends, he’s not afraid to sing or to look soft, he heralds himself as an agent of chaos even though he actually helps people for seemingly no gain for himself.
2. Natewantstobattle (aka Nathan Sharp)
Tumblr media
Loved his gameplays, love his music. I wish he would let himself be silly once in a while, that seems to be his truest self. I think he is taking himself waay too seriously nowadays, probably because he wants to be taken seriously as a musician and I understand that. It’s just that I love to watch him fool around because he brings me so much joy.
1. Paul McCartney
Tumblr media
Yup. This guy. I know he could be my granddad but no one comes close to him. I know he treated a lot of girls like shit in his time, but there’s something about him that attracts me like nothing else. Is it posthumous Beatlemania? Is it because he’s drop-dead gorgeous? Is it because I have a weak spot for musicians? Is it because his music hits me like nobody else’s? Maybe it’s all of the above. Well, there’s definitely something special about his plump butt, that’s for certain.
