Okay there’s a lot about Mikio asking Mizu to show him all of herself and then rejecting her but like. “Unsheathe it. Show me your blade.” This from Mizu, who fully believes the whole “the sword is the soul of the samurai” thing, basically asking the same of Mikio. Show me your blade; show me your soul; show me who you are. And she even throws him her sword, because she is truly giving him all of herself in this scene, and she wants the same of him. Honesty. Openness. Truth. And ultimately he does show her who he is, and it fucks them, because who he is is a man who cannot handle her as she really is. Unsheathing their blades ruins them, because it uncovers the truth: they were never compatible, not as who they really are. Absolutely. To be fair, Machete barely ever raises his voice (he's more of a quiet, grudgeful, seething type), and he has more patience for Vasco than everyone else combined.

But when he does, he instantly spirals into despair and self-loathing and is usually the first to apologize, profusely.

Walker left the zone to arrest him too why? Because clearly he is neglecting the child king! Smh. 😔 Walker greatly respects the rules but now that King Phantom is in place he respects something more. Yet despite all this the man still is refusing to bring the kid into his fold. You don’t just go on and do that to a young one.
