a/n: i decided to combine my idea of daryl messing up cutting his hair and this and it honestly turned out so cute!! like i was giggling and twirling my hair writing this 😭

With your lips rolled between your teeth to hide a cheek splitting smile, you perched yourself comfortably onto Daryl’s lap, hair cutting scissors in hand as you assessed the damage he had done to himself.

Admittedly, you had put cutting Daryl’s hair on the back burner seeing as though your group was working to make Commonwealth your home once more. You knew its length was starting to bug your husband, catching the older man often tucking it behind his ears, blowing it out of his face, or into a man-bun; you shamelessly enjoyed those days the most.

You knew he was much too good of man to bug you about it when you’d walk through the threshold of your home looking like you were about to pass out as soon as your body touched the softness of your bed. You just hadn’t expected him to take matters into his own hands. Maybe you should have.

“God, D. What did you do?” You said with a snort, taking pieces of his now mix-matched length hair in between the pads of your fingers. You twirled them gently, a fond look in your eye. Daryl’s eyes were cast down in embarrassment due to your teasing.

“Dunno… thought I could do it m’self.” He mumbled stubbornly. You laughed again, finally allowing your smile to break free. “I’m sure you did hun.”

He just grunted in response.

“Welp,” You began with a sigh. “Let’s get to work.”

With every chunk of his hair that fell to the floor also took a part of your soul with it. Daryl and you had been together for what seemed like forever now, especially with everything that you had gone through together all the way from the farm until now.

You have seen him throughout many stages of growth, so cutting off a piece of him that you watched change feels like you’re losing a part of the past, but also welcoming a new future.

You felt yourself smile once more the shorter his hair got until you had gotten it perfectly styled.

“Oh God.” You couldn’t help but exclaim with a scrunched nose. “Wha’?” He asked nervously. He had felt his head get lighter, and everytime it did he felt himself get a tad bit sicker. “This is gonna make me feel young again.” Was all you could say.

By that you mean he looks exactly like he did back when you had first met at the Quarry; when he was young and spunky and mean.

“Stop teasin’ me, woman.” He groaned with a small smile of his own. “I’m being serious, stud.” You flirted. He snorted, saying, “I wanna see what it looks like.”

You got off of him, stretching as he padded over to the closest mirror.

He was quiet for a moment and you made sure to watch his face for any kind of negative reaction, but all he did was just pull at his new hairdo with curious hands.

“Do you like it?” You couldn’t help but ask. It took him a moment to respond.

“Yeah, I like it.”

"This is you," Penelope states loudly, dumping a stack of magazines onto Spencer's desk. They're very old issues of Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, and Esquire as well as a couple of other catalogs from Hermes, Balenciaga, Ralph Lauren, Yves Saint Laurent, Comme des Garçons, and Dolce & Gabbana. "You're in these." She repeats.

Spencer has already memorized each page of every addition in every language. "Yeah?" He wonders what she's gifting these to him for.

"When, where, why, what, how?" She lists her questions.

"They all have dates on them, Garcia." He deadpans.

"Hey, you never told us about this," Emily says, flipping through the magazine and noticing the young version of Spencer photographed in expensive, designer clothes.

Spencer chooses an edition of Ralph Lauren, turning to a specific page number and pointing out the girl standing next to him in a countryside shoot. "Y/n." He says, labeling his wife.

"No way!" Penelope exclaims, picking it up to examine it closer.

"How did you never find this?" JJ asks her, taking the book after her.

"Baby girl, your skills are slipping." Morgan teases, trying to find both of them in the other catalogs.

Spencer shakes his head. "It's not my name. Well, not technically. It's Spencer L/n. I got into it in college, scouted, I guess. And it's how I met Y/n, who let me use her last name for my shoots. Now, she has mine." He explains, getting surprised looks from his colleagues.

"Oh, that's why you two found it hilarious when Morgan told her she could model," Emily recalls Morgan's flirting when they first met her.

Plot: For the last four years, Y/N and Pedro have been dating in secret. The fear of rejection has turned them into a mystery that could only be encountered in yearning looks on red carpets or hands that are touching one another briefly. However, for the longest time, things have been working out that way just fine. But now Pedro's agency wants him to have a PR relationship with another woman and neither Y/N nor Pedro is sure if their love is going to survive that.

"To be honest, I didn't expect you to show up.", the tall man states as his eyes light up at the sight of the young woman. Y/N just chuckles at the sincerity in his voice. She watches how he takes a step to the side, offering her to walk through the door into his home. There is a certain tension, lingering in the chilly evening air. Who would have thought, that they were living in the same city… She mouths a brief 'thank you' before doing so and waits for him to close the door. However, before he does his brown eyes scan the street in front of the building. Curious if any paparazzi have seen her. But once he realizes that no one has noticed his guest his posture visibly softens.

„Well, I didn’t expect you to reach out to me, Gubler.“ At the mention of his last name, he giggles (actually giggles) and wipes the corner of his mouth with his left thumb. His gaze falls on the floor for a second, before he meets Y/N's again. She can clearly see that he wants to say something in return but doesn't. Instead, he makes a hand gesture, telling her to step further into the house.

„Oh my god… This is actually so stunning.“, the y/h/ced woman whispers as she wanders down the corridor into his living area. She can sense Matthew’s eyes on her form but acts like she has no idea. "Thanks.", is all she receives back.

A silence falls upon the two again and when she sits down on his long couch, she feels its softness:" You know, I always wanted a couch like this myself." "Why didn't you buy one?"

"Are you sure this is the one?", Pedro scratched his chin, his finger moved up his face and stayed underneath his nose. He taps his skin a few times and sighs:" Don't you think that leather would be a better choice?" There was something in his look that told Y/N that the decision was already made.

"I don't know." He lets out a soft chuckle:" Well, I tend to spend a lot of time in here. So I figured, that the least I can do is make this space as cozy as humanly possible." Y/N feels how she sinks further into the colorful and fuzzy furniture:" Oh Really? Because whenever I see videos of you meeting fans, you appear to be outside quite a lot!" At that, Matthew laughs out loud:" You've seen videos of me online?"

"I may have looked you up."

The actor crosses his arms in front of his chest, and Y/N watches how his muscles flex. She swallows and her hands stroke the material of the couch. "You looked me up?"

"You're asking me a lot of questions." His chuckle is as soft as honey. Y/N already wants to hear it again." You're right, sorry." "But yeah, I did."

Hot tears were dwelling up in her eyes and she felt how her hands were violently shaking:" God! Everyone thinks that you are so sweet! That you're this perfect nice guy! Hollywood's goddamn fucking sweetheart! I wish people could know the disgusting and ugly and horrendous truth about you and your stupid and mean lies! And- and- and the way you're only acting! You're not like that at all! You have them all fooled!"

Pedro stared at her. Her hand flew up to wipe her eyes:" You're so mean!" "You don't mean that.", Pedro whispered and swallowed thickly. "You're so mean."

The pain was nothing new to you at this point it was more of an annoyance. All the doctors you had seen had just dismissed and gave you the same story every time that you're too young, you need to loose weight, sleep more, take more vitamins and every other excuse out of the book to ignore your pain.

You were sitting on the couch with a heating pad on your lower back when Spencer came in with some plastic bags.

"Hi sweetheart, I'm sorry I'm late. When we were on the phone earlier and you mentioned how much your back was bothering you, I stopped at the store and got you some more medicine, some hot chocolate mix, some sour candy because sour candy sends this little signal to your brain..."

"Spence?" You cut him off with a whine as he set the bags on the counter and quickly ran over to you. He sat down carefully next to you. Spencer always treated you like you were made of glass during a flare up. "I love you." You placed your hand on his cheek and he placed his hand over yours before he took your hand and kissed it softly.

"Have you taken any medicine in the last four hours ?" He asked while adjusting your heating pad so that you could lay down on the couch.

"It's been about six !"

Spencer grabbed the pain killers from the plastic bag before bringing it to you along with a glass of water. "Take these, they're leftover from when I got shot in the knee." You looked up at him with soft eyes as he helped you take the pills. "Good girl!" He kissed your forehead before getting up. Spencer made you some hot chocolate and brought it over to you in the coffee mug he got you for Valentine's Day last year.

"Thank you honey bunny!" You giggled as you took the cup. Spencer pulled the book out from his back and handed it to you. "Spencer ! You got me the collection of the original Grimm s fairy tails??" You pouted your bottom lip at him . Spencer moved closer and kissed your pout.

"I figured you'd like it and it would help distract you from the pain." He placed his hand on your knee and gave it a soft squeeze. You eyes teared up while you looked up at him through your lashes .

"I love you Spencer ! Will you read to me please?" You handed him the book. Spencer took the book carefully as he pulled back the blanket and moved you closer to him as carefully as he could. He laid your head on his lap and ran his fingers through your hair slowly.

"Once upon a time..." Spencer started reading as you laid there listening to him read you your favorite story . This might not be modern medicine but who needs medicine when you have Spencer taking care of you the best way he can.

Man you couldn't fucking pay me to be famous because why do I have people arguing and theorising on my TL about why mgg isn't married. There's people legit using the fact that he's a Pisces as reasoning (which no shade if peeps are into all that but it seems shallow to base it all on that), or the fact that he's too enthusiastic/excited by things in life to have a serious relationship. I know we like to indulge here and maybe that's where this is coming from but as a young woman who does not want children or even marriage and very much would like a similarish life it feels derogatory. Like be for fucking real, just because he's in his 40's he has to succumb to the rot? Idk if it's a skewed perspective mostly younger people have but it's exhausting to read the shared delusion. I saw similar about people complaining that Taylor Swift went to Coachella at the ripe old age of *gasp* 34. Someone quick we much alert the church elders.

And that is why I never look into Twitter. Please people just get a life. Who honestly cares if his married or not? Who's business is that except HIS?

And even though he is not married, why do people try to find a problem or a justification for that? Maybe it's just the way things are, maybe he doesn't want or hasn't find his person yet.

I think there is mostly a problem with the fact that everybody views marriage and family as the only goal in life. Like if you're not married you can't be happy or there is something wrong with you. Or like with MGG he is "not adult enough" to be in a relationship. Because once you pass 30 you have to be bored with life and depressed.

Yes, falling in love is great but there is so much more to life than that, and love doesn't only come from a partner, you have family, friends, colleagues or whatever. It's not because you're past 25/30 that you absolutely need to be married with kids and not enjoy life like you used to do anymore.

It's not because he is in his 40's that we need to find a justification for his single life or whatever is going on, and that does not mean he is unhappy or there is a problem with him.

This is a stronger pressure on women but I think that with this whole fandom stuff, there are people like that everywhere. And it's probably the same who will be mad when they will hear that he is in a relationship. That's just all fucked up dude.

And they'll act like this with Taylor Swift because it's well known that past 30 years old a woman is already half dead anyway so how could she dare go to a festival?? Scandalous.

Not only Reid, but also MGG. I didn't realize how young he was until I saw a clip of Paget saying she understands that MGG wants to leave after season 16. She was saying how she and many others were already in different movies, series, and exploring other jobs before joining criminal minds. Meanwhile, MGG was still very young, and suddenly he got stuck for 15 seasons on a series.

So true, Matthew would’ve been around 24/25 when he first started filming the show which is insane to think about, especially when you remember he only really started acting the year before
