Parents: Kinoh and Tavh'li :) Siblings: She's the oldest of five! There's Dyaala (1 year younger), Yuhl (6 years younger), Mhet (7 years younger), and Kinoh'a (10 years younger = the twins' age). Grandparents: ...around, I'm sure... I have vague ideas of a large extended family, but they're staying vague until I know more about her home. In-laws and Other: She's adopted the twins as additional little brother and sister if that counts. Pets: Her family had miscellaneous creatures around when she was little, but none of particular note. I don't think chocobos are considered pets.

Abilities: The big (obvious) ones are fighting, singing, playing instruments, and dancing. Is "inspiring people" an ability? Beyond that she's a jack of all trades — loves picking up every skill she can, but doesn't usually dedicate enough time to them to become a master. Hobbies: Again, everything she can get her hands on, at least briefly. It's a bit difficult to categorize things separately as "hobbies"... like she doesn't really put aside time to do certain activities; she just starts going in a direction and keeps going until she stops lmao.

Smokes: Nah, zero interest in it. Especially since she values her voice so much. Drinks: Socially. She'll enjoy getting completely trashed on special occasions when she's quite certain the end of the world isn't nigh. Drugs: Anything with significant health effects is off the table immediately, but if any of the in-universe drugs are harmless she could be tempted to try them by a friend. Mount Issuance: Her black chocobo and Argos are canon. Other MSQ-relevant ones like Maggie and the Yol are still around but probably not really "on call." Everything else is nebulous. Realistically does she own a flying car? Probably not. Can I still say she loves blasting the stereo on the Regalia? I sure can!!! Been Arrested: If she managed to avoid it from the bloody banquet all through Heavensward, I'm gonna say she's avoided it everywhere else too.

i think it's az-ree-yell bc honestly az-ree-yul sounds weird? to me, like it feel lackluster but also this reminded me that apparently the official way to pronounce lucien is loo-shen but ive always pronounced it as loo-cee-an bc lu-shen just sounds really american and bland tbh

btw english isnt my first language so i feel like i have no authority on how to pronounce anyones names but i will keep pronouncing them how i think it sounds better

I get what you mean? In a way? Like —yuhl goes down at the end whereas —yell goes up so (to me at least) it feels more energised?

And with Lucien, when I first read acotar I pronounced it Lu-si-un, and Rhys I pronounced as rye-sand, until my friend forcefully showed me that guide in the back of the book but once never seen the acomaf one that includes the other characters!!

(Yes I’m going to also continue pronouncing it my own way, and I encourage you to, too—because it’s so much more fun like that 🤭🎉)

(Also I feel like Lu-cee-en also just sounds slightly vampiric compared to Lu-shun/Lu-shen 🫢)

I got to see my little sister, Alexis, and her beautiful family visiting my parents from Nashville. My nephew, Yuhl, is nearly 5 yo and has more personality than any little man I've ever met. Heart of a cowboy who has worn holes in his favorite boots and a cowboy hat that he can interchange various wild bird feathers he has collected. My niece Cosette who I met for the first time was a little shy but she let me hold her for a few minutes and she is very sweet. Thanks Mom and Dad for supporting my launch. Thank you to my beautiful wife who has supported my prep for this trip over the past few months.

Anarchy was the name of the game. At least it was for Jinx. If she did live by any rules, they weren’t rules that Ekko could ever understand. Why tell him that, then? Was he some sort of exception? Some ancient feeling thrummed in his heart at that, and he was quick to stuff it back down -- things were different now, they’d never be the same. Staring at the old friend before him, he stepped forward, one hand perched on his hip as the other ran through those white locks of his, “..No rules, huh? Guess that means I can do whatever I want.”

Ekko captured her gaze then, silent for a time, expression neutral. His eyes betrayed him, of course, hinting at some long-dormant sense of grief and longing, and he could feel it rising up in his chest. His eyes dropped for a moment as he sighed, head angled downward as he peered back up at Jinx. And then, he reached out, lightly tapping the tip of her nose with one finger, corner of his lips quirking upward, “Like this.”

    A long, irritated sigh passes his lips as the Star Guardians wander the halls of the school. He can practically feel the burning stares of the student populace as known troublemaker Jinx, and known (self appointed) school idol and playboy Ezreal walking together. He was more than happy to have been given the title of Star Guardian. For his own more personal reasons that he was absolutely against going into, but also because it fuelled his ego like nothing else.

    The cost of that of course being that he was stuck getting a lot of attention that he never really wanted. Ironic considering how often he was very explicitly making an effort to have the attention of everybody who looked his way, but he wanted to be admired! showered in praise! Greeted with a round of applause every time he entered the room! Not being pegged as a delinquent because a co-worker had decided he was fun to pester.

How long have we known each other? It feels like since the dawn of time itself. I don’t even know where to begin, I just want to hug you? And tell you that you’re such a special person and such a weirdo and I love you for both of those things. Even if you don’t approve of my salad choices. >:[

Like... you’ve been around since my OC. That’s a long time. And although we’ve had a few bumps along the way getting used to each other, the thing I like about you so much is that you don’t compromise on who you are and your own weirdness. It took me a while to figure out how to respond to you, honestly, because you’re such a lovable weirdo. And that only makes me think better of you. I can only say “I love and respect and admire sincerity” so many times but here I am saying it again.

Ma’am, I am proud to call you my friend. I am so happy to be someone that you feel comfortable talking to. And I appreciate so much that we have a relationship where we can speak openly and candidly - about whatever. Salad. People problems. Whether or not we’re vibing. You and I communicate, we talk things over - that’s the dream, you know? Communication.

And then there’s your muse, who’s absolutely a little terrifying, and you dig into the whys and the hows in your own way. I appreciated a lot that you decided ( although ofc you can change your mind, never let me hold you back ) that Jinx’s perspective and mentality isn’t derived from trauma. People like to say that mentality can shift even without trauma, but they don’t really... put their words into actions. So it feels fake. You stuck with your guns.

Also, low key, one time you recorded some positivity for me like 4 years ago and I still have that saved. I am cry. I worry that at times I can be a little overbearing, tbh. Idk.

Anyway. I do love you, very much. And I’ve loved seeing you grow and mature as a person. I’ve been lucky to see it. Although we don’t talk like... all the time, I hope we stay friends a very long time. I care about you very much and I hope I can be there for you next year and the year after.

oh i have a lot to say about this one. ehryu has a big family; she's the oldest of five :)

they're all really close; i like to think that tight-knit families are a mooncat cultural thing. buuuut ehryu hasn't seen them since she first left for eorzea, so they'll have a lot to catch up on when they see each other again, and who's to say how things will have changed by then!!!

dyaala is the closest to ehryu in age so they stuck together the most when they were little. she had to clean up after her big sister’s messes quite a bit (covering for her when she’d destroy something, getting help when she’d get hurt...) but ehryu protected her from bullies in return. :)

mhet and ehryu have the least in common, really, but they're close anyway. mhet the sweet one; she loves everybody and everybody loves her. :)

yuhl was the brat growing up, and she’s actually much better now but still can’t shake the brat reputation LMAO. so she and ehryu fought the most as kids, but she also taught ehryu to clean up nice... please imagine a 9 year old teaching a 16 year old what makeup is.

and last but not least... kinoh’a is most similar to ehryu. he loooooves hearing about her travels and is the only one who would want to follow her to eorzea. ehryu always doted on him a lot and that's reflected in how she dotes on alphinaud and alisaie (who are his age) now :'3

this was actually a fairly thought-provoking question for me because I honestly didn’t think too much about what ezreal eats! especially since he’s an explorer, and thus he doesn’t always have the ability to eat scheduled meals like most people do. I’d say that ezreal’s diet varies depending on where he is; if he’s in one of the big cities, he’ll probably try the local cuisine, if he’s at home he just eats what he likes, etc. regardless, he’ll try to keep a balanced diet. he likes comfort / junk food as much as the next person does, but that kind of stuff isn’t good for his skin or his health, and I imagine ezreal stays motivated to eat as healthily as he can because he gets fussy over his appearance.

ezreal does get forgetful with food however, particularly when he’s going on explorations. if you know ezreal, you know that being cautious and planning ahead is not what he does at all, so he forgets to pack food because a) he thinks he doesn’t need it and b) though he does prepare for his expeditions, he doesn’t plan that carefully, so he’s pretty prone to forgetting to bring some important things with him. he actually does this canonly too, where he forgets to bring food with him in “an explorer’s journey.” god dammit ezreal.

as for cooking... contrary to what you might think, ezreal is actually not a bad chef at all! it’s my personal headcanon that ezreal was forced to learn how to cook by professor lymere, because ezreal needed to learn how to be able to support himself, but also because lymere was just kind of sick of his shit and would rather not have to look after a bratty genius teenager all the time. in contrast to other things lymere forced on him though, ezreal actually really enjoyed learning how to cook, because it was hands-on, encouraged experimentation, and was decently challenging. nowadays, whenever ezreal travels, he’ll pick up some street food recipes from other regions to try himself, though instead of asking the chefs how to cook it, he just says he’ll watch and smell what the chef is doing as they cook and piece it all together himself. still, that’s easier said than done, even for someone who learns as quickly as ezreal, and from time to time he utterly fails to replicate a dish and gets put in his place.
