Hi everyone! It’s been a long time and I hope you’re all doing fantastic. I miss posting Texts Between Gems, but on the bright side I’ve been achieving things in real life that I am extremely proud of. My university has allowed me to become a full-force social justice activist, researcher and educator. I am doing work that I only dreamed of being able to do when I started this blog in high school. Even though I’ve had to step away from this blog, I have missed using it as an outlet for my creativity, my sense of humor, and my obsession with Steven Universe. I won’t be making new Texts Between Gems as of right now, but I was hoping I could introduce you to another project I have started!

The shirt above and many others like it are part of a new LGBTQ+ Pride design project I have started called Pride On My Mind! These designs have the purpose of providing unique, meaningful, and often funny merch to the members of our community. Creating the inaugural collection has brought be great fulfillment and I hope it does the same for folks who see it and feel like their identity and sense of humor are represented! I put some more designs under the cut for you to check out if you’d like to.

If you are interested in keeping up with me through this project, you can follow the Pride On My Mind blog here. I post original LGBTQ+ memes on there, so if you like the humor behind Texts Between Gems I would definitely encourage you to check it out! The designs are available on tons of different products on Redbubble and Teepublic. I would love to know what you think of what I’ve made so far! If you see a design you really like, or a post that really makes you laugh, it would mean a lot to me if you would reblog it!

I would like to end by saying thank you for the support you have shown me and this blog for the past four years. I know that ultimately, this post is an advertisement for something you may not be interested in. To be totally transparent, this project is both a wonderfully fulfilling creative outlet for me as well as something I hope will help me become more financially self-sufficient.
