You were being harassed by thugs and heard "Nice shoes, take them off."

Eh? He can't be talking to you, you were just in simple sandals.

You turned and thought it was your knight in shining armour but turns out this guy just wants the shoes, he didn't actually care about saving you.

But he did anyway so uh, thanks?

He hasn't said a word to you but you start to tell him your name and babble your thanks whilst he's stealing his shoe trophies, "...and there's a good noodle place here. How about a bowl as thanks?"

Oh that part he responds to!

"You're paying right?"

This guy really doesn't talk much. You ask a few questions like his name, is he from around here. But after him ignoring you, you two just make your way there in silence.

You get seated and he studies the menu. Every now and then you catch him staring at you, as if he's sizing you up.

Someone comes over and takes your order, and this guy starts ordering and ordering...

And ordering.

Oh right, he's trying to check out how rich you are. Your shoes aren't worth stealing, but this probably means you don't look broke.

Still... This guy. Doesn't he have any manners?!

"Hey!! I said A bowl. You're practically ordering the whole menu!"

He's glaring at you and doesn't say anything. You notice the top of his ears turn pink though. Eh, he hasn't ordered anything to take away. This kid must be starving to order so much .

You roll your eyes. "Whatever, if you're that hungry how can I say no."

You chew on your jjajangmyeon as this guy is already devouring everything at the speed of light.

"Hey, slow down you're gonna choke!"

He takes a brief pause to glare at you before continuing and shielding his food from you.

You put both your hands up as a sign of peace, "It's all your food, I said I would pay just... Be careful-"

"I don't need you to worry about me."

This guy's attitude! You huff and don't say anything else.

But watching him... eating so much but staying so lean. He must work out like crazy or... He doesn't actually get to eat much? You look at him. He looks a similar age as you but his clothes are well worn, and he's pretty dirty and grimy.

Is he homeless?

As soon as he wolfed all his food down, he stood up to leave.

"Erm... wait," your hand grabs on to his wrist, "before you go... Do you want any more food? Just as take out or snacks for later?"

He shakes your hand off and turns to go. The tips of his ears are red again. You didn't mean to embarrass him.

"Hey, I just owe you a lot..." You shrug, "I just want to make sure you're ok"

"I'm fine."

Just when you thought he was going to leave and you were never going to see him again, he turns his head and gives you a small smile-

ngl I do love that they showed how Adrien is feeling. Like he got his freedom from being a model, but at what cost? The cost of his own face, his own identity being forced to do/say things he can’t ever consent to. 

He’s lost so much more than before, and while he couldn’t really refuse his father before, there’s something so much worse about not even knowing what’s going to happen with your own image next.

I can understand why he’s feeling worse than usual, and on top of that, neither his father, nor Natalie are checking up on him anymore. He has absolutely no parental guidance in his life, no adult support.
