The more Lan Qiren talks, the more I'm convinced that Twin Jades's mother was researching resentful energy and got caught by Lan's teacher. He tried to punish her with a whip/kill her for following the orthodox path of cultivation. Madam Lan refused to subdue and killed Lan's teacher in self-defense. This goat hates Wei Ying too much, and I don't believe it's due to the memories of Wei Ying's mother. It's more likely that Wei Ying is the exact copy of Madam Lan.

Honestly, Wei Ying snapping at A-Yuan and making him cry should've been a massive sign that his mental health was deteriorating.

Wei Ying and Wen Qing have a weird circle of guilt. Wei Ying berates himself for not saving Wen Ning in time, even though Wen Qing managed to help Jiang Cheng. Now, Wen Qing realized that Wei Ying essentially gave up his family to save her relatives.

It never ceases to amaze me how Jiang Cheng could combine heartwarming and cruel words in a single sentence.

When Yanli gave Wen Ning a bowl of soup, I teared up. Since he became a fierce corpse, only Yanli and amnesiac Lan Sizhui, outside his immediate family (yes, I count Wei Ying as his family), treated him as a human being, and not like a murderous weapon.

Yanli looks gorgeous in red, but I'm conflicted about this wedding. Jin Zixuan is not the problem here. Lanling Jin Clan and their leader are. How could you, as a sister, be okay with marrying into the Clan that tries to hunt down your brother? They treat him like a doormat, constantly provoking and threatening Wei Ying, demanding his inventions and knowledge. Hell, even if you don't care about your brother, the Jin Clan recently paraded alive people as prey, offering others to shoot them with arrows. Yeah, they were alleged war criminals, so what? Don't you have a drop of humanity? Your brother accused this Clan of torturing and assaulting elderly people without golden cores and even kids. Do you not believe him? Or was she oblivious to this degree when it came to Clan matters?

When Wei Ying called Wen Ning, and the latter ran like crazy, it reminded me so much of a puppy. His face is too cute to be a fierce corpse.

Seeing how much Wen remnants appreciate Wei Ying makes me think that it's the first home he had since his parents died. He had Yanli with Jiang Cheng and maybe even believed Jiang Fengmian as a part of his family, but you cannot convince me that he thought Lotus Pier was his home. He simply didn't know better. Now he has something to compare Lotus Pier to, and the difference is astonishing.

Wen Ning's aggression right after waking up and in any following fight comes from the feeling of utter helplessness during the last weeks/days of his life. Witnessing his family being hunted down like animals, abused physically and sexually (you can't tell me that with man-whore as a Clan Leader, there were no attempts of assaulting female prisoners). If he tried to help them, the punishment followed, making the entire situation ten times worse. Again, Wei Ying wasn't controlling Wen Ning but gave him the means to avenge himself and his family.

Lan Zhan's dictionary, second lesson: "Mn" with longing look means "I missed you" and "I wanted this wedding to be ours."

Wow, the Cultivation World is fucking lucky Lan Zhan can control his temper and has lots of patience. It's a miracle he didn't go on a killing spree because of those ridiculous rumors.

"Our encounter with Wei Wuxian was fortune or misfortune?" Good question, Wen Qing. I'm convinced that their paths would've crossed one way or another. If Wen Ning hadn't helped with Jiang Fengmian and Madam Yu's bodies, Wei Ying would've been more hostile towards Wen siblings. If Wen Qing hadn't transferred a golden core to Jiang Cheng, Wei Ying wouldn't have felt like he was in her debt. He wouldn't notice her on the streets, and she wouldn't approach him to save Wen Ning. Honestly, Wen Ning's death seems inevitable in any scenario.

Do you remember how I previously talked about debt outweighing Wei Ying's love towards his siblings? He gave Jiang Cheng everything needed to rebuild the Clan. The moment the war ended, all debt was paid off, and it was as if his connection to Yunmeng Jiang Clan snapped, making him want to leave Lotus Pier.

I love Mianmian. She was the only one with the guts to speak up against the blatant hypocrisy and act accordingly.

The Cultivation World is rotten to the core, and the second Wei Ying pointed it out, he got banished. Those assholes have been waiting for this moment since Wei Ying was brought into Yunmeng Jiang Clan. One second he is one of the strongest cultivators of his generation who immensely helped during the Sunshot Campaign and avenged Lotus Pier. Moments later, he is a servant's son, Jiang Fengmian's bastard, who was so kindly brought into one of the five major Clans only to betray them in return. The same shit will happen to Meng Yao. One second he is a respected Chief Cultivator, and moments later, he is a whore's son, Jin Guangshan's bastard who had no place in the Lanling Jin from the beginning. The Cultivation World is sick, and if you try to point out their flaws, they'll villainize you and tarnish every ounce of your reputation.
