I got spark! It seems like my magneto rebuild on this 68 year old engine has actually worked. Great spark, considering this is hand cranking the engine only a third of a turn. Back to fixing old engines again. Particularly therapeutic I find - I should perhaps consider recording a video? Todays task was to replace an old coil, a condenser, points and have a deep clean of the magneto. Maybe this repair will last another 68 years? Merry Christmas! This year (for the few gifts I had to get) I mostly managed to avoid buying from big retail stores. For my parents, I made them this bird table. It has a real slate roof and can either hang from a tree or be fixed to a post. My own design. Before it got too dark (and before #stormbella tomorrow), we got it mounted on its post.
