Carmen Graves was born into a black-italian family in 1905. Her grandmother had moved from Italy to New York where Carmen spent a majority of her childhood up until 16. Carmen moved to St. Louis, Missouri in hopes of starting a name for herself in her goal for fame. As Carmen hopped from place to place and party to party, she was visited by her Uncle who had told her she was requested by the family to become the head of their ‘business’ after the death of her father. In order for Carmen to stay in Missouri and give her family what they needed, she opened an establishment named “Carmen’s Swing”, which serves as a place to relax and hide from the judgement of the world. Carmen’s Swing serves as a work place for Carmen’s closest friends, one of which including Mireille (@tiny-hazard), who sings for the establishment. During Carmen’s time as a solo-act, she met Mitzi, who at the time had still been married to a then-alive Atlas. Mitzi and Carmen became close friends and still keep in contact today, as well as aiding in her alcohol-smuggling business. Carmen has become a prominent figure in the city’s pocket of crime which gives many businesses the protection it needs, that including Lackadaisy.

How To Interact With Pro Ana in the Coquette Tag

Pro anorexia, pro bulimia, and pro disordered eating can be advocated for in different ways, whether it's photos, text, videos, or gifs. Not only does this sort of self harm glorification have no place in the coquette tag and has nothing to do with the community, it also encourages people to hurt themselves in terrible ways and for prolonged periods of time. But there are ways to intervene if you're willing to do so!

First, determine if the content tagged coquette is actually pro anorexia. The easiest way to do that would be to look at the tags! Content tagged with thinspo, pro ed, nothing taste as good as skinny feels, bonespo, skeletonspo, not pro just using the tag, UGW, a moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips, sweetspo, meanspo, body check, restrictive ed, and any variant of the word anorexic and bulimic (4n0rexic, anorex!c, anarexic, anorexik, bolimia, bul1m1a, bulimi@, 8ulimia, etc) they're all examples of pro ana tags that are immediately obvious. If content has multiple of those tags then it's absolutely pro ed material, regardless if op tags that they're only pro anorexic for themselves. If they're looking to inspire people to be anorexic or inspire them with anorexia then they aren't pro ONLY for themselves.

Second, once material is identified as pro eating disorder the next thing you can do it write to the poster. You can comment in the replies, reblog with commentary, send op an ask, or write to them in private. All great options with different levels of formality. The best messages to write are always the ones that are polite, compassionate, yet firm. Just let op know that their support for anorexia doesn't belong in the coquette tag. It's a fashion tag afterall and many of use have or are suffering with disordered eating and users who glamorize anorexia are dangerous for the rest of us! A small message letting them know that their content is hurting people WITHOUT name calling, victim blaming, and anger is best. Some of the best interactions I've had with pro ana accounts has ended with them apologizing profusely and promising to post away from the coquette tag! And remember, even though they platform anorexia they're still mentally unwell. You don't have to sugarcoat everything, but it's not required to come at them with full force.

Lastly, report any pro ana content you see. That's definitely the most important part! On Tumblr there's a Report Something Else section. Under that you can report the content under Self Harm. Yup, self harm! Tumblr considers any sort of intentional harm to your personal as "self harm". After you click Self Harm Tumblr will ask you if the user is threatening suicide, answer yes or no accordingly. Then submit the report! (Usually I write in the section asking for my name "Look at their tags", the moderator has to look at your name if you fill it in and that will assure they look at the tags. After you finish submitting the content as self harm go back and report it again as Inappropriate Content. For that you only have to send it once and it'll auto report it. The goal is getting that content removed, but if op is excessively pro anorexia then you can go through their whole account and report any and all pro ed content you see (cool down time may be required in between multiple reports).

Disclaimer: Please recognize that some tags aren't necessarily pro anorexia or are dubious at best. Not everyone tagging their pics as skinny or posting their girlblogging as waif are doing it because they're pro ed. And just because someone is self identified as anorexic doesn't mean that they're content is pro. These are also only recommendations! If interacting with an anorexic person will trigger your eating disorder you can just scroll past. You can also do these steps out of order or omit steps if needed, everyone is different and if you feel like a pro ana mia girl will go off on you you can try to get ahead of it before it happens. Also be prepared to be blocked on site. Just do what you can before that happens and stay safe!

BIG PRO AN0REXIA ACCOUNT TEACHING GIRLS HOW TO BE AN0REXIC POSTING IN THE COQUETTE TAG

Gigantic trigger warning for anorexic encouragement/celebration

User @/myfairydiary has an account devoted to giving out their starvation regiment to every mentally ill girl who asks for her "help" and has been actively responsible for the bodily harm of dozens of girls. And she does so with a smile on her face.

She has posted a few times in the coquette tag, along with the fairycore tag, barbie tag, pink aesthetic tag, angelcore tag, and hyper feminine tag. When pro anorexia accounts cross tag like that it's to farm likes, get followers, gain clout, get reblogs, and spread their influence. She has sent her dangerous anorexia encouragement across many other community, exposing it's members to very dangerous beliefs, goals, and inspirations that she wants OTHER PEOPLE to have.

Below is some evidence of the goating, aiding, and celebrating she gives to none anorexia tags and to girls devastated with Anorexia Nervosa.

As you can see, her account is VERY FAR from the "personal diary safe space" she is dishonestly claiming it is. Not to be rude but she is quite literally pushing these girls into/further into the midst of their disordered eating. The bodies of these young women and others who have followed her ~secret starvation diet~ are being ruined by her, and she's glad for it.

It says it plain as day!! "I'm happy" "Inspiration" "Motivation" "We can do this together" "Never give up". I shutter to even think how much more self harm encouragement goes on in her inbox that she repeatedly reminds her followers to take advantage of.

It's clear by her anorexic romanticization that she is incredibly invested in spreading her specific type of anorexia to other people who are looking to be constantly hungry. Her account is one of the MOST DANGEROUS accounts I've seen on Tumblr. It's even more horrendously scary to see her so joyous over damaging a strangers body with her "tips" along with her being so eager to have other mentally ill girls mimicking her disordered eating habits.

PLEASE REPORT EVERY SINGLE THING ON HER ACCOUNT. DO NOT JUST BLOCK HER. SHE WILL REMAKE AGAIN BECAUSE SHE HAS ALREADY MADE IT KNOWN THAT SHE DOESN'T WANT TUMBLR TO TAKE HER DOPAMINE NUMBERS AWAY FROM HER BUT PLEASE GET HER BANNED ANYWAY. ANYTHING THAT WILL PUSH HER AWAY FROM TARGETING ANTI PRO COMMUNITIES WILL PROTECT A LOT OF GIRLS!

Let's say it.

Writing a "x reader" and then adding a description on the appearence of the reader is doing the opposite of what you wanna do.

I'm precisely talking about ghost x reader fics, male, gn or female almost everyone does that.

If you want to do it, there's no problem but at least specify it somewhere. If it's because, you yourself, look like this, then specify it's a self-insert.

I personally think adding description cuts the vibe of the fic but also does not respect "reader's rule".

It does concern when you add about the skin color, the color of your lips, cheeks, all those kinds of things. It can be hard to take it out of your vocabulary as i myself made those mistakes before, but for sure it just does not include poc people, which is not fair for them let's be honest.

Besides that, the reader is supposed to be inclusive but also neutral. Not talking about gender (you should still specify it!), but about the appearance.

It is quite unnerving and displeasant when you've been reading the fic since a moment then you get hit by the "woman with a curve" or the "you were a bulky man".

It feels like, when you're reading a story, you're in the middle of it and suddenly they describe their main character's appearance. It quickly ruins the vibe of the story.
