I’ve seen an AU where Delta Dawn found Branch small and grey and all alone and she raised him like her own son… and thought about making one similar!!

This is my Moonlit Prince!Branch AU!!!

This design KILLED ME!! But this is Branch found and raise none other than Trollzart and the other Classical Trolls.. I really hope I spelled the conductor’s name right..😭

There are a few designs that helped me make this: obviously the wings and tails are inspired by our lovely night fury Toothless, I even looked up character design concept of The Phantom of the opera.. cause why not? (UwU) and gave him the iconic half face mask. And i had trouble finding the best conductor outfit to really pull it in.

But I screwed up the tail... sadly

This is what I get for having ADHD😭😭😭 I go from one idea and then full throttle into a totally random and new idea or sets of ideas in general!! I. AM. DONE!!!

Anywho, I dunno if it’s a cannon thing or not but I kinda head-cannon that IF one troll from an entirely different music tribe from a young age to adulthood they are somewhat transformed into the music genera that they were raised in… Kinda got the idea inspiration from Cooper who was raised by Pop trolls.. he always in the second movie had to pull his ears down to copy the movements of his twin brother D.

So yeah… :/

Anyways… Trollzart took Branch in and gave him a new name(my favorite stone btw) Obsidian(still iffy on that bit of his new name but yeah) and while in (._.) what’s the name of the Classical trolls’ home again?(._.;) Branch took in his new home seriously and being the safety man like in the movies and the beat goes on… he took the role in protecting his new home…

It did take him a long time to adjust because he is bigger than most classical trolls, and to learn how to use his new wings and tail.

He is still grey in the whole plot because i still want a broppy!! So yeah!! XD

Like in the movies and the beat that goes on Branch is still the safety guy and takes that very seriously. But from the endless sunlight from the classical trolls home he shines and glows in this silvery blueish hue… and everyone dubbed him as The Moonlit Prince… for he is the next conductor because I don’t see nor remember IF Trollzart even have an heir to the throne…. So yeah

Plus I love the idea that Branch specializes in on cinematic pieces like from my favorite pieces: bound by a purpose and dreaming in techno colors by twelve titians and songs from hans zumer and his score pieces like interstellar, time, final decent and another but i can’t really remember.

The amount of Trolls AUs swirling around in my brain is too much. I give you Brozone pop-rock parents.

River left the tree in her late teens to travel the world while Volt is doing a solo rock tour, then he became a bounty hunter. Volt is a survivalist and adventurer, always craving freedom and running away from responsibility. They met by Volt saving River from something lol.

They would get together and travel around. Volt would slowly become possessive of River. Then came JD's egg (Volt carries all the eggs), they try to be parents but Volt is overwhelmed by it and convinces River to drop him off with Rosiepuff. The other brothers were dropped off too.

More in the future after the Brozone breakup, River comes back to raise Branch which will make some good angst for the brothers lol

rewatching Zou and thinking about how the Heart Pirates really wanted to meet Luffy but Law had almost immediately asked Luffy to talk in private and the Heart Pirates were all like "not cool captain come on” and giving thumbs down to him.

i know this is a stretch but

Luffy and Law weren’t together for maybe a couple hours, maybe a day at most???? and Law is already stealing Luffy away like they didn’t just an arc and filler together lmao. Law’s crew just wanted to meet his boyfriend😭 and hang out with him, the last time they saw Luffy, he was like half dead you know? this is good blackmail material for them though, Law being all clingy is adorable as hell.

what if the strawhats had different roles on the ship⁉️ i swapped everyone’s roles except for luffy because i can’t imagine him being anything but the captain

these are loose redesigns since their canon designs don’t really read as their roles all that much to begin with. some extra doodles and ideas for this in the cut !!

nami, vice captain: i took a lot of inspiration from her beta design!! canon nami already bosses everyone around so she fits right into the role. she wields an extendable staff (usopp still makes it for her); she lost her arm over the time-skip like how zoro lost his eye. i LOVE drawing cargo pants and boots, so she ended up with a sorta bottom-heavy design. frankly it’s probably not her style but i like how she looks

zoro, the cook: my foolproof logic is zoro uses swords = good with knives. he does not use katanas to cut produce however, just normal knives. i was trying to go for “sweaty ramen guy” with the towel around his neck. the majority of the shit he cooks would probably be drowned in alcohol. he also wears his bandana the majority of the time now!! it completes the ramen guy look

sanji, the sniper: i also took inspiration from his beta design for this!!! he has guns!! and perfect aim of course. i was going for more of a mafioso look so germa 66 would be like, a mafia organization on top of all the other villain shit they already do. he has two guns but i didn’t draw a holster bc that’s annoying🤞 he lights his cigarettes with his guns. how would that even work? don’t ask me

usopp, the navigator: his artistic talent lends itself to creating perfect maps! he also still tinkers, making nami’s staff as well as having a specialty for compasses. he uses a slingshot still (no perfect aim we gotta nerf him) and shoots weather-related projectiles. his goggles serve as binoculars, they can zoom to several different distances. i drew him in his zou outfit purely bc it’s my favorite one

chopper, the helmsman: he would predominately use heavy point while maneuvering the wheel. i changed his hat up to look more like a sailor’s cap, with an anchor symbol instead of an X. to be honest i don’t have much else bc helmsman doesn’t bring much to my mind :(

franky, the musician: ROCK N ROLL BABY YEEAHHH come on his stage presence is unmatched. he’s still a cyborg, he has instruments all over his body like apoo does but they were installed manually. his personality changes depending on what genre he’s playing but rock n roll is his default B) (ex. classical calls for a refined gentleman)

robin, the shipwright: her devil fruit gives her as many helpful hands as she needs! she developed nami’s arm (definitely installed some random shit she did Not ask for). she has a robot mecha that she’s able to pilot all by herself using clones. i changed her orange sunglasses to goggle eyewear

brook, the doctor: the irony of being nursed back to health by a literal skeleton 💀the irony of being the doctor of the rumbar pirates yet being the only survivor, saving no one from the poison 💀 i went for a plague doctor look! IM VERY HAPPY WITH HOW HE TURNED OUT i was really tempted to give him the plague mask too, but i feel that would’ve changed his appearance too much compared to the others

jinbei, the archaeologist: the shape of this man demands a little pair of round glasses on his face. he’s an intellectual i tell you!!! plus still a fishman karate master. the history of joyboy and fishman island being so intertwined is how he developed an interest in history

In the Borrowers AU, did Floyd sing a lament for Branch (whom he thought died) like how Uncle Iroh sang "Leaves from the Vine" for his late son?

Oh I love this ask and it lets me go deeper into the traditions and culture of pop trolls in borrowers au

So trollstice is taken way more seriously than in canon I mean all the years under Bergen rule would definitely cause generational trauma. And because of that trauma the pop ancestors created a day that would be a tribute to the victims of trollstice, and for that day they had a song to commemorate their deaths. everyone would tie a poppy into their hair, light a candle and put it in the window of their pod and then go gather at the center of the tree with an item representing their lost loved one and they’d sing requiem. The holiday was called remembrance day.

But the year branch died the great escape happened and even then Floyd and jd left before remembrance day celebrated. And even Rosiepuff couldn’t give branch a proper remembrance day because when the village had been established king Peppy got rid of it thinking it was no longer needed which was a horrible idea in retrospect. But many trolls still celebrate it even without it being an official holiday.

Rosiepuff still celebrates by wearing poppy flowers in her hair.

Floyd and jd celebrate by putting their branch’s glasses on a mantle in Rhonda.

Bruce puts a candle up in the restaurant window

Clay sings the song and sometimes other putt putt trolls will join in.
