Summer fades into autumn, what a lovely thing to behold. Take in the beauty of September, as you behold the elegance that awaits you.

Here's a bit from a Elrond-finds-a-half-faded-Maglor-on-a-beach-and-takes-him-away-fic.
“You are quiet today,” Elrond says, not looking up at him. If he is concerned, he hides it well.
Today. Maglor lets the word rest in his mind – where it lies surprisingly heavy – and realizes that he has no idea what day it is, nor how long it has been since Elrond has found him. He thinks about asking the peredhel, but the words escape him. Instead, he says, quietly and staring down at his scarred hands, “Where are you taking me?”
Edit: I forgot I had to tag people oops.

One feels one’s own decay and it’s hard to believe it’s not visible and a turn-off.

~It's not that I don't miss our friendship. It's that I know the feelings of missing you will fade. Just like we faded from each others lives~

Fading
Past events, experiences, will fade, as we try to hold them. They are now a part of our story.
