midnight crushing on her sidekick

pairing: nemuri kayama / midnight x male!reader

a/n: i really liked the concept of the midnight boys in vigilante, so i had to write for midnight crushing on one of them!

midnight was quite the popular hero amongst young men and she had caught your attention as well with her womanly charms

you knew that you wanted to be a part of her agency and become one of the so called “midnight boys” that were her sidekicks

so once you graduated, you applied for her agency and soon got the job as her sidekick – well, as one of them!

the other boys took you in quickly and helped you get accustomed with working for midnight

and it didn't take long until you got to meet midnight as well! after receiving a call, you and the other boys made your way to a crime scene, where midnight had just helped arrest a criminal

you were smitten the moment you first saw her in person, while midnight felt quite similar. you were quite the handsome young boy, just her type

from that day on, you kept getting more opportunities to work with her, even if it was mostly work such as bringing her a coffee or cleaning her office

but soon, it became clear that, despite you being the new guy, midnight had taken a liking to you, as she kept giving you the jobs that allowed the two of you to be close

though that was all she was doing for you, as she expected you to take the next step and ask her out!

after all, you're the sidekick, while she's the pro hero. you got this job because you wanted to be near her, so now you had to show you had enough courage to ask her out!

12 YEAR OLD OCS; SIDE A

So, I made Twila as a kid when I first started getting into spritework on the original Pokéfarm forums (PF1, for those familiar with the sites), as a basic recolor of Espeon with Umbreon's palette, and because I was a big Orre fan she just sort of. Stuck around? She at one time had a whole plot revolving around Shadow Pokémon and all, but these days she's just sort of drifted off and become her own standalone Pokémon fancharacter. I still have her and draw her occasionally, including having used a PMD-based portrait piece of her has my avatar here and there, and she remains my oldest OC to this day.

She's gone through her fair share of revamps, one to add in Umbreon's markings to give her a bit more going on design-wise, and one swapping her palette to Umbreon's shiny colors for character reasons - She was always intended to be an Eevee who evolved as the sun set, taking on the general shape of an Espeon but with the coloration of an Umbreon, who ended up being shunned and cast out for it, and I eventually opted to make her a shiny one to really highlight the contrast of her life as this ~special rare precious shiny Eevee~ with where she ended up. I don't really remember much of its original iteration any more, but what little exists of the actual plot of her story these days has formed around themes of the process of finding a place and people that accept her as she is now, rather than the ones who simply saw her as a sort of trophy in her youth, and recovering from the trauma of her rejection and exile and the ways it's impacted her as a person, which, if I were to properly flesh it out again, would likely tie into Shadow Pokémon and the process of purification being not unlike that of recovering from trauma in general.

Anyway, all that said, Twila! My oldest surviving OC. I think she deserves a prize just for the fact that she's still around and relatively intact, at least on a conceptual level.

My Hero Academia. Midnight/Kayama Nemuri, college AU. Because I stumbled across: https://youtu.be/aBFWTvKHKng and got inspired.

AU idea: Nemuri is getting a degree in art and design. She finances all of that (and her fancy apartment that she shares with Hizashi, who sorta just pay for utilites while she handles the rent) with her little side hustles (e.g. OnlyFans). Meanwhile, Hizashi is running his own podcast for fun and is getting a degree in media and interns at a local radio station. I imagine him dramatically crying because she’d be able to buy expensive shit and then begs her to help him sell his feet pics so he can get some stuff for his podcast. bruised hearts heal slowly

pairing: nemuri kayama / midnight x gn!reader

summary: you come back home bruised and your girlfriend worries about what might have happened...

"wow, which villain beat you up like that~?"

midnight teased as you entered your shared apartment, visibly bruised and your head hanging low. you didn't even reply to her teasing, which immediately made her stop joking around and get serious.

"hey, what's wrong?"

midnight got up, quickly stepping in front of you and gently placing her hands on your side, only for you to flinch in pain.

"did this happen at work…?" she feared what would be if this wasn't a work injury. "or did someone…"

"i'm fine…"

you attempted to brush her off and slip past her, but midnight grabbed your arm and stopped you, causing you to yelp in pain as tears shot into your eyes.

"you're not fine. don't lie to me!"

she removed her hand from you, not wanting to hurt you any further.

"i won't push you to tell me about it right away, alright? but i will treat your wounds! and maybe afterwards you're more willing to tell me about what happened…"
