I think I felt gender euphoria for the first time yesterday.
I went out wearing a soft long sleeve shirt. It's a men's shirt but it looks kinda fem at the same time, that and wearing my long hair down and a little make-up to make my face look softer all made me feel pretty but still a little masculine in a good way.
I'm amab and only discovered I'm NonBinary very recently so I've never really felt pretty before and I think I like it.
I like being pretty and handsome

any type of censorship over LGBTQIA+ age appropriate themes / movies / books in schools is outright discrimination and should be called out as such

Sorry to this couch -- my fat ass bent your metal and warped your frame. But maybe it deserved it from how low it was and how hard it was to get up and down from 🤔
Check out my pinned to find out how you can see the extent of its destruction 🖤

So far in my NonBinary journey I've started presenting as not entirely masc but not completely gender neutral either. Like masc but soft. I have some women's clothes (mostly cardigans and stuff like that) but nothing overly feminine, it's subtle but it's there and I'm really liking it so far.

"New Jersey’s Democratic governor has a message for the LGBTQ+ community. He issued an executive order on Tuesday indicating that, unlike in some Republican-controlled states, New Jersey is open and welcoming to everybody regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. In addition, he says New Jersey is a “safe haven” for those seeking gender-affirming care.
Gov. Phil Murphy directed all state departments and agencies to implement protective measures to protect gender-affirming healthcare providers and recipients with his executive order 326.
As a result of this order, LGBTQ+ youth in New Jersey, including transgender and non-binary youth, will have equal access to quality health care services regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or whether they live in New Jersey.

Sometimes, when I play games originally made in Japan, I wonder what parts of the writing were actually intended in the original language.
Like, I’m playing Splatoon 3’s DLC today, and the character of Acht is pretty much always referred to with They/Them pronouns in dialogue, which for a single person in the English language would presumably mean they’re nonbinary. However, it could also mean that the characters who use those pronouns may not know what gender Acht is, and there aren’t a ton of situations where they’re even referred to by pronouns. And I wonder if that same ambiguity of gender is still there in the Japanese script, or if it’s only present in the English script.
Or there’s a dialogue exchange where Marina asks if Acht is hitting on Pearl “in front of”, with the implication that the sentence ends “in front of me,” which given the established connection of Off The Hook would seem to imply a romantic relationship, but also, that whole dialogue sequence might have been added in by localization, because the main point of the exchange is implying Acht is aware of Pearl from before the DLC. But also also, based on external material, if Acht isn’t non-binary then they’re probably a girl, so the localization would be either adding or adapting a scene of an either nonbinary or female being accused of hitting on another girl, which seems surprising for the fairly conservative Nintendo of America.
Anyways, non-binary octopi and lesbian squids may or may not be canon, is my point, and I’m curious if that’s also the case in Japan.

Nonbinary Autobiographical Manga 'X-Gender' Released in English
Tumblr media
The first volume of Asuka Miyazaki's manga X-Gender (Seibetsu X) was released in English digitally and in paperback on Tuesday, June 14. Miyazaki identifies as x-gender, the Japanese gender identity similar to non-binary. The manga is an autobiographical story detailing their experience and struggles with sexuality and gender.
Tumblr media
The publisher describes the manga:
Asuka is neither a woman nor a man—they’re X-gender (a non-binary identity)—and they’ve realized they like women! Okay, now what? Adult films are fun to watch, but real sex is less appealing. Would having a penis make that better or worse? Periods already suck, and sex means more fluids from more people! This autobiographical manga follows Asuka’s feelings about their body, their relationships, and the fun (and sometimes terrible) experience of having an awakening in their thirties.
Tumblr media
The manga includes open discussions about sex, sexuality, and gender, and unlike most Yuri or BL fiction titles, it centers on and explicitly names LGBTQ+ identities. Small sections of the manga are devoted to teaching the reader about queer identities and culture, for example, it defines lesbians and the roles of a "top" and "bottom."
Tumblr media
X-Gender was serialized in Young Magazine the 3rd from 2020 until the magazine was discontinued in April of 2021. Afterward, the series was released on Comic Days until its conclusion in November 2021. Kodansha publishes the series in two volumes in Japanese.
Kathryn Henzler translates the first volume of X-Gender for Seven Seas, with adaptation by Cae Hawksmoor, and lettering by Vanessa Satone.
