Seeing a lot of: "The selfish strikers are hurting the crew members 😥😫😭" takes on Tumblr suddenly.
Well hello AMPTP PR team!
If the retraction of your labor did not hurt anyone, strikes would be absolutely useless. An industry is supposed to suffer from a retraction of labor, to show the value of that labor. And that is exactly why nobody ever starts a negotiation there. Every negotiation goes: "I offer something against fair compensation. When not fairly compensated, I will retract my labor, with us both knowing full well that people are going to suffer. So let's not. Pay me fairly for all our benefits. You reap huge rewards from this labor. That comes with the responsibility of good stewardship." If they say: "Nope, I am unwilling to compensate you fairly," the "and I don't care who the hell suffers for it" goes without saying.
That suffering is supposed to be a pressure on the bosses, as their refusal to pay fairly is what causes it. What they're now doing is saying the strikers cause it, as if that action wasn't a response to them not taking responsibility.
Do you honestly think that the same people who want to squeeze writers and actors care a single fuck for the wellbeing of the crew?! The AMPTP is causing that pain and could end it with a 10th of what WB alone has already lost in revenue. But no they want to alleviate the pressure of the collatoral damage of their refusal by scabbing (lessening the pain for their consumers), and setting the workers against each other. Oh, it's not my fault for screwing my workers over, which hurts you! It's their fault for not letting me do it without a fight! They're so mean!
When this could all be resolved - already is being resolved! - by simply giving in to very reasonable demands! People, including crew, who have made agreements with the unions are in fact working!
Say some footballer was harassing someone and got kicked back so hard they couldn't play. If the game is cancelled because of that, do you say: well, they should have just let themselves be hurt so I don't suffer? Or do you say: that asshole footballer is letting us all down by not taking responsibility that comes with their position and being an awful person? Even a toddler knows who is at fault in that situation. But if I have to spell it out: it's the person that starts being awful when it is in their power not to be, and when in fact they had every chance not to be. It's the footballer kicking someone for no reason. It is the AMPTP who wants to exploit and underpay people and screw over consumers by only giving them AI crap, which was trained on stolen work, the copyright of which they don't own and never offered to pay for.
People suffer because the AMPTP won't agree not to hurt people. This stops - and has already stopped in some cases - the second they agree to a reasonable deal with inbuilt protections.
The AMPTP knew in rejecting these terms that they would throw the crew under the bus. They didn't give a shit as long as they could retain the power to exploit people.
I bet they are paying the PR people more than they're refusing to pay the unions to not have to come to an agreement, knowing full well how much that is costing not just the crew but the entire economy of California.
If I were a Californian representative, I would call Zaslav, Iger and Lombardini and pressure them to stop fucking over the entire state!

Making smart characters interesting
There’s more to smart characters than just being...smart. They have personalities, and I want to explore some ideas and feelings I had ;-;
Smart character personality ideas:
The self-absorbed smart character. Actually smart, and definitely knows it. Everyone refuses to acknowledge the good ideas because it’ll only add to their ego.
The goofy, passionate smart character. Nerd. Knows a lot of stuff and wants to share it with others.
The quiet smart character. Has a lot of good ideas, but doesn’t say a lot of them. When they do, everyone is really impressed and since the ideas usually work, they go with their suggestions.
The smart character that can’t articulate their thoughts. How do you get the idea in your brain out into the brains of others??? So no one really gets it, and their intelligence feels like it’s wasted. Might talk a lot or only a little.
The quick-thinking smart character that only seems to come up with good ideas when put under a lot of pressure.
Combine them, or give them additional traits.
For example, that goofy and passionate character who wants to share facts might be really shy and terrified of judgement, so doesn’t share.
That self-absorbed character might have a truly good heart, and gets frustrated when no one sides with them because they’re seemingly ego-driven when, in reality, they want to help.
Maybe a smart character with the ability to learn and remember new things doesn’t want to learn because they’re lazy.
Totally up to you. Be creative and combine weird ideas.
Different ways to be intelligent:
Creative and innovative. Thinks outside the box. Loves to explore new ideas, abstract concepts, and weird scenarios. Others might judge or think the ideas are unbelievable. Might not notice the little things that could make one of their ideas go horribly wrong because they’re too focused on the big picture and on the uniqueness.
Analytical. Good at analyzing patterns, numbers, and the little details in a scenario. Very detail-oriented. Often extremely organized. They...well, analyze things. Might not be very creative at all. Jigsaw puzzles and math?
Quick-thinking, especially under pressure. When put in a situation of life-or-death, or maybe under a lot of stress due to that upcoming exam, can push through and make calm, smart decisions.
Good memories and lots of “brain space.” A character could have a really good memory, and recall the details of a memory that no one else recalls. They have plenty of room in their brain for seemingly useless things that just might come in handy.
Musically intelligent. Rhythm, notes, tone, etc. come easily to them, and they might even be able to pick up on sounds and beats that no else can.
Philosophical. Comes up with big questions that others normally wouldn’t. Also outside-the-box thinkers and might get some weird looks.
Language. Linguistics are their own branch of intelligence. Might be very quick at picking up new languages and learning new words, and also is good at communicating ideas through words.

do you think that somewhere, deep deep down inside heather, shes kinda into p!noah? (apologies, i’ve just seen the alejandro connection with p!noah and i was trying to stuff alenoaheather in with it)
anyway, ur b pfp messed me up when i was looking for u through who i follow and i was kinda just chanting ophe until i found it TT-TT
I think, deep deep down inside, Heather has a lot of introspective re-evaluation to do before she can even consider admitting to herself that she likes someone. And she's iconic for that. That doesn't stop her from forming crushes on people, mind you.
As for liking p!Noah? Well, (as a Noaheather Enjoyer myself) a lot of Heather's potential romance partners, in my mind at least, stem from the connections she can/does make with them. She's slow to open herself up to people, and really prickly, so for her to have positive feelings for someone else is a novelty. (*cough*gray-aro Heather real*cough*)
If Heather was able to foster some sort of rapport between herself and p!Noah, let's say by offering him something akin to an alliance (since it's only strategic to have a wildcard like Noah's turned out to be on her side- keep your enemies close and all), and see behind the many layers of crazy and deceit? She'd probably have a sense of begrudging respect for him, at least. It takes smarts and dedication to keep up a ruse like his for so long- Heather herself couldn't keep up the "nice girl" act for more than a few episodes- and she knows that Noah's deceptively smart.
Maybe that begrudging respect could blossom into more? Who's to say.
Maybe p!Noah also respects Heather's ruthlessness and cunning, since she was able to scheme and sabotage her way into the final three on Island. She's interesting, and Noah appreciates people who are interesting.
The main drawback of liking someone as eccentric as p!Noah is, as we saw with Izzy and Owen in canon, Heather would need to be able to keep up with him.
Obviously, Noah's not nearly as hyper and fickle as Izzy is, but he's just as impulsive and detached from reality. Heather can appreciate his cleverness and craftiness all she wants- if she can't deal with his callous madness, she'd have very little luck in trying to romance him.
The B pfp was an impulsive choice on my part but I'm not sorry for it because B deserves more recognition for literally carrying his whole team for the first few episodes. I do apologise for any confusion though!

fluffy after-hurt comfort would be very nice
Dedicated to my beautiful wife, who is trying her best and I am so so so proud of her <3 @save-the-villainous-cat
Genius Bottom
Villain had dealt with every injury they had ever gotten, even when it got so rough they couldn’t touch it without tears rolling from their eyes, they never asked for help. Convinced they didn’t need it.
Ultimately, that was false. Just because they hadn’t received the help they deserved as a kid, didn’t mean they didn’t need any at all. Being independent meant knowing when you could handle something yourself, and being grown enough to reach out when you couldn’t.
The criminal hadn’t quite learned that last part yet.
Hero stood, unfazed, as they stared down on the villain sat against the floor. They were cradling their knee with both hands hovering just above the bruised skin.
In one hand, Hero held a tensor bandage, in the other, an icepack. Standard procedure for a nasty bump like that, without making it any worse. The tensor bandage was a precaution; if something was bumped out of place it could keep it steady until they found out. While the icepack was a classic, able to reduce swelling and cool down any inflammation or even numb the whole area.
Fidgeting slightly in their spot, Hero tapped their toes impatiently into the ground. Increasingly bothered by the freezing of their hand against the frozen pack.
“I don’t need your help.” Villain seethed, refusing to make eye contact, they held their ground—or knee in this case.
“Sure you don’t. Just as much as Jack didn’t need any help getting on that door.”
Villains eyes flicked upwards, dangerously dark and bloodshot from being knocked in the nose. “Don’t be a smart ass.”
Hero grinned, one opening after another. “I thought you liked my ass? You always say it looks good in my suit…”
“Shut. Up. I’m trying to deal with something right now, if you couldn’t tell.” They exaggerated with overly pronounced gestures waving at their knee, it was effective at getting their point across but it also caused them to flinch at the sudden movement.
Overall, Hero rated the performance a six out of ten. Multiple lost points for pain infliction.
They leaned onto one knee, placing the icepack down gently yet fast enough to avoid Villains attempts to stop them. When it touched their skin the criminal gasped and recoiled, but Hero held them steady. Pulling them in carefully as they helped adjust the pack against the bruise. Hearing the villain’s heaving breaths at the pressure, they lessened up slightly until the villain seemed to regain control over their lungs.
“See?” Hero tilted forwards even more, lips brushing against the shell of villain’s ear. “That’s not so bad is it?”
Villain shivered, both hands coming up to grip the hero’s shoulders for stability and grounding. Everything hurt so badly, their ribs, their face, their knee.
“That’s— that’s the last time I ever take a fight for you.”
They groaned in complaint when they saw the hero fiddling with the wrapper to the tensor bandage. Unravelling it once they shed it of its outer plastic confinement and they smiled up at the other.
“You said that last time.” Hero hummed, setting aside two metal clips that looked like evil dragon claws to the villain. Then they slowly removed the ice and began to wrap neatly around their joint.
The villain winced again, but the cold had numbed most of the area down which was a great relief. They didn’t say anything but drop their head into the crook of the hero’s neck, sputtering some nonsense about this being the “true last time”, but both of them knew it wasn’t. Villain had been taking the hero’s fights more and more often lately and every time they swore it would be the last.
Hero smiled into the villain’s hair once before continuing their work. “Someone’s a bit protective, huh?”
Villain didn’t even try to deny it.
Instead, they were focused on the hero’s hands. The way they gently pressed against the joint, all the anatomy behind it flooding their head as they carefully tested each muscle, tapped around each bone and softly tested the lengths of its mobility. Admittedly, they were also a bit touch starved and feeling the hero’s warm hands exploring and massaging their leg was heaven on earth. Even if in certain spots it ached or shocked their system with pain.
“Good news; nothing is torn or broken. No bones out of place and definitely not a fracture. Just a nasty ol’ bruise. Should be gone in a week tops.” They removed their hands much too early and Villain almost wished they’d keep checking, keep examining for something that wasn’t even there.
They grumbled and sat back up, pushing off the hero’s collarbone. “You’re such a nerd.”
“Hey, I thought that was my shtick—” Hero laughed, clipping the silver barrettes into their bandage, Villain decided that was a good name for them.
“Mmmm, sorry~” They definitely weren’t, but they couldn’t help it if it was the first thing to slip past their lips.
Again, the crime-stopper’s hands were on them. Hoisting them into the air in a bridle carry that made them squeak. They always hated if not secretly loved when the hero picked them up. In truth it made them feel so much better to be so close, pressing their ear to the other’s chest in an attempt to hear their heartbeat. Matching up their breathing patterns as they were brought to their bedroom and laid on the sheets.
Hero ran a hand through their hair as they helped them under the covers. Brushing hair out of their face in the process as their thumb delicately traced their lips. “No apology needed, pretty. What’s mine is yours…” Hero ended their sentence with a wink as they slipped under the blankets and joined the freezing villain.
They latched on like a lifeline the second Hero was cuddled in, warm and steady, breathing slow and eyes half-lidded. Perfection. Per usual. Their nights always started like this, the villain rolling on top and the hero already half asleep once their head hit the pillows.
Smirking, Villain squeezed the hero’s inner thigh, watching in twisted delight as their eyes shot wide open. “Everything that’s yours… is mine?”
The hero matched the glint in the villain’s eyes, a not-so-innocent smile greeting them right back. “Everything, love.” Both their hands landed on the villain’s hips. “Between five AM to nine PM. Not after.”
Villain rolled their eyes at their lover, cursing how much they were enjoying the power play, before they dragged their hand back up and onto the hero’s chest to rest.
“Smart ass.”
