THE WORLD IS INEXPLICABLE. but mankind sought to create order from chaos, parse the esoteric to dress and shed the divine. from this ache to comprehend the anomalous [ 𝗧𝗛𝗘 FOUNDATION ] was born. when we finally grasped elusive truth, the foundation realized the responsibility coded into our lineage. we had to delve further into the insidious shadows and enact promethean rites to lift mankind into glorious light... and to keep them in the peaceful, sane dark. now an international secret society binding thousands to lives of cloaks and daggers, the foundation has a bloody history that can never be washed away. sacrifices were demanded. and we, for the greater good of all, obliged. but redemption is upon us. even a flicker is a beacon in unending darkness. what was the big bang if not a spark? [ 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗘 ] has carefully selected sixteen souls to guide the way out of our cimmerian realm. sixteen from all walks of life, flawed and perfect for this venerable undertaking. some will know why they’ve been chosen. others may question their importance, but rest assured, we’ve set them among the stars for a reason. they will draw the veil to a close. foundationhq is an original, mature, and literate hybrid tumblr/discord roleplay, based on the scp foundation's shared universe and original content.

set in site-φ, a scp containment facility and staff residential area located in the rural pacific northwest, the 16 members of the newly developed mobile task force mtf chi-00, “the broken scales of themis,” have been personally selected by the foundation's [ ethics committee ] to carry out the impossibly difficult and dangerous task of auditing & investigating containment breaches at other sites. as operatives with some of the highest clearance and power, the 16 are given free reign to complete their tasks - however, they must adhere to a single directive: stay impartial. do not sympathize with a scp.

the gameplay is highly interactive, influenced by player choices and group decisions, and contains tabletop roleplaying game elements to further plot development. while this world is charged with paranormal and uncanny content, the foundation’s work can be as bizarre and offbeat as it is terrifying; the tangled tales of our team will no doubt create human stories of their own, from professional tensions to personal missteps. we are excited to embrace these plots with you.

due to the nature of the source material, this game is best suited for muns 25+ interested in the postmodern horror genre, and requires muses to be 30+. as there will be storylines containing mature themes and subject matter, participant discretion is advised.
