my personal headcanon for how monsters procreate in utmv/utdr: the babies just appear.

enough magic and intent from minimum two monsters will make a baby, it doesn’t matter what kind of intent etc(thinking of how PJ happened as a result of a battle between an alternate ink and error)

so there’s no incubation period. due to this, babies are that much more reliant on their parents for the first couple years of their life. basically proximity to their parents is vital to their physical and magical development; they CAN survive with only one parent’s presence, but it causes problems(i am yet again bringing up PJ and how they were raised primarily by ink for the first few years, don’t have a super solid physical form, and aren’t very powerful despite having two gods for parents. obviously my personal reasoning for this is not canon btw)

this period of necessary proximity to their parents does not HAVE to be the original monsters responsible for their creation. they can develop just fine with “surrogate” parents, given the magic bonds successfully. they CANNOT survive without consistent parents, for lack of better phrasing. if left alone or passed between caretakers too much over a long enough period of time, the baby will Fall Down and subsequently dust. fucked up i know but it’s my worldbuilding headcanon and i get to pick the rules

babies can bond with more than two parents! there isn’t a known maximum amount of parents, since no one has really tried to push the limits, but with several parents the baby will paradoxically take longer to develop their specific type of magic(their physical development is not stunted, but their personal magic takes longer because their soul has to “pick” between several different types of magic to base itself on)

once they’re around two, the baby’s magic type is “locked in”, so to speak. if there are several parents, it can take as long as three or four years in comparison. their power level is influenced by their parents, but not entirely dependent on them. some kids just have more of an affinity for magic, for no discernible reason.

part of what i really like about this headcanon is that gender and species are not factors in making a stable child! incest is still weird tho, i am not a fan of incest in any capacity. also, this means no monster has to deal with the absolute nightmare that is pregnancy. no morning sickness, extreme pain, risk of life, etc is involved. lucky bastards (obligatory “disclaimer this is not to discount the experience of anyone who has had good experiences with pregnancy and have things they really like about it. just bc i can’t personally empathize doesn’t mean i can’t understand that y’all’s experiences are vastly different than mine and you have a perspective informed by things i’ll never have the same level of knowledge and understanding of”)

uhhh that’s the main stuff, i think. literally the entire reason i came up with this idea is because i am just. deeply uncomfortable with mpreg and skelepreg. i don’t have any problem with people who DO like it, i just personally can’t deal. this will not affect my opinion of anybody, i need to make that abundantly clear.

in any case, any utmv/utdr monsters i make will have been born and developed this way. yes this applies to female mammal monsters, it applies to ALL monsters in my personal headcanon. maybe i don’t need to clarify that but whatever

if you like this idea, you’re more than welcome to adopt it! i think it’s an interesting piece of lore to incorporate in stories. i might even apply this to magic centered original works, unrelated to utmv/utdr, because i have become attached. i might not end up pursuing original stories, that’s not really what i’m interested in at this point in time, but i’ll always keep the option open.

if someone else has come up with an idea similar to this, that’s awesome! i promise i did not intentionally steal anyone’s idea, i am not currently aware of anything like it, so please extend some courtesy and understanding for me in the event that there’s a coincidence. i would request the same for if someone comes up with something similar AFTER this is posted, especially since i’m such a small creator without a whole lot of reach.

finally, if i’ve accidentally done something problematic here PLEASE tell me so i can fix it! i never want to cause harm with my work :)

You guys do realize that you never actually gave J a reason on why they should use the term right? You’re just stating that it makes people uncomfortable but the thing is a lot of things do a lot of people from rural areas don’t like the term cis, yet no one throws a fit. If you don’t actually point out the flaw in something beside it “hurting” someone’s feelings then that’s not a flaw that’s an opinion.

If they want to use the term they can, seeing as no one has actually given a valid point on why it shouldn’t be used. If anything “G!p” isn’t anything different than “mpreg”.

People use the term or just simply state girl with a penis because the character that they are writing about isn’t/wasn’t intended to be apart of the trans/intersex community. And if anything the only reason the terms have been switched is so no one gets on anyone’s bad side, but is it not pathetic within it self that those terms are just being used as a loop hole so no one gets mad.

Besides if what you say is true, the writers wouldn’t write their characters different, if anything you’re just slapping on a different label, do you really want the terms intersex/trans to be the terms used solely so no one throws a fit even if they’re not representing the community, you actually would want it to be used as a pass?

Does that not just water down the meanings itself in this situation? You’re using it as a pass, it’s pathetic.

There’s much more to say about this as a whole but honestly I’m just writing this for J. You don’t gotta post this btw.

I just don't get how using gp is any different to saying woman with a penis, that is literally the same thing, and comparing it to a slur too...

I don’t mind sharing! It’s kinda a complicated answer. Sooooo way back in 2005 I went to see Revenge of the sith. I was 13 years old and just discovered deviant art. I know I’m old haha. So I saw the movie and thought that Obi-wan was acting more like Padme should of been, confronting Anakin trying to make him see what he’s doing is wrong. Padme did a little of it, shame they cut the knife scene. Okay we we are at the point where Obiwan yells “I loved you.” And Anakin yelled “I hate you.” Not meaning it. He never meant it, he just wanted to hurt obiwan. At 13 it hit me that, oh ohhhh they really loved eachother. More than the brother, master or anything. They where soulmates. This was wayyyyy before the force dyad was introduced. Anakin needed Obiwan and Obiwan needed Anakin.

Then I saw a tv special where George Lucas talked about who Obiwan and Vader are two sides of the same coin. They are Luke and Leia’s father.

Okay so back to 13 and being a budding yaoi fan girl. This was before it was cringe. There was this picture of a mpreg Obiwan and a protective Anakin Skywalker. The image stuck in my mind for a while. I moved on to different ships and yeah I still liked Star Wars but anime boys were life!

So moving forward I was 27 and just finished up watching the new starwars stuff. Yeah I had fun but eh? Kylux is a great ship btw. I missed the old stuff and rewatched the movies 1-6. Yeah it was cheesy but knowing it was written for children, Lucas little boys apparently. I saw them through a new light. I remembered that old mpreg obikin picture and thought I would see what the Obikin fanfiction looked like now a days. I read a few back in the day but nothing great.

I was blown away by the new fanfics and writers on ao3. I was very impressed and then inspired, maybe I could write something? There isn’t any more fics I can read! I’ve roleplayed for years I could write a bit. So I did, just to see if I could write alone. Honestly I was expecting to be ripped a new butthole for bad writing. At 18 I tried writing fanfiction for yugiyo and yikes…yikes man. But the Obikin community was loving and encouraging. I kept going. My writing improved, they loved my crazy random ideas and silly world building.

I love Obikin, the relationship between Obi-wan and Anakin. The fun cannon of Star Wars that can easily fit anything. They’re complicated relationships between Quigonjin, Dooku, Padme and yoda. The amazing fan-artist, how Ewan Megreger is handsome. ( one of my first crushes) along with Hayden Christensen. (That photo of him giving a lightsaber to his daughter?! 🥺)) being a romantic I wanted to give these characters a happy ending.

But the community, is what made this my favorite ship.

I know that was a lotta text, but you deserved a full explanation.

your post bashing the anon who requested mpreg feels a little bad… idk the gender(s) of that anon, but a lot of trans men and masc-presenting people love breeding and/or impregnation as kinks (and many opt for pregnancy irl quite seriously that’s unrelated to kink or fictional plots etc). just doesn’t sit well with me for you to judge that publicly in the way that you did. :(

of course you’re not obligated to write anything you don’t want to, but maybe don’t judge it so harshly like it’s some unheard of, crazy concept.

okay so i never in my life thought i’d read mpreg and enjoy it and i’m still ashamed but!!! i started reading your mpreg fic finally because there’s so little new butcher x homelander fic out there and i got invested. i still can’t believe i am reading mpreg and i can’t even kudos it with my account because i am ashamed for even reading it and liking it. anyway, your writing is really good and i want to know what happens next but i still feel dirty.

Are you by any chance the same anon that complained that all Butchlander writers were “getting weird” lol?

So… maybe this is going to sound harsh, but isn’t meant to be. I’m biased since I write and read mpreg readily, but I don’t understand the moral panic over enjoying mpreg. There are ftm people who get pregnant (yes they do go off T, but only temporarily). And uterus transplants into people born XY are only not a current reality because of safety issues (I’m willing to bet we will see people either have this surgery openly or only in countries that have lax laws within our lifetime, hell, maybe it’s already happening in secret). Are you repulsed by these things as well?

I’m not saying you have to get off on mpreg or enjoy reading about it in fic as a trope to be a good person, btw. But in your message you say you’re enjoying it but torturing yourself over being grossed out by this fact and ‘feel dirty’. I have had at least three different anon asks about somewhat related things (maybe all sent by one person? I can’t quite tell): feeling guilty about enjoying Homelander fic in general, feeling guilty about enjoying HCs revolving around scat related topics, and now feeling guilty about enjoying mpreg. To all of this I say: none of these things are harmful. Shamefulness is in the eye of the beholder. I’m not saying these topics should be brought up during every polite dinner conversation with people you don’t know well (although also not the end of the world), but you shouldn’t be having this level of existential angst over it.

Anyway, thank you for your kind words about my writing, and I admit part of me is pleased Homelander could be your gateway drug into the mpreg universe. Relax, have fun. Fandom isn’t serious business.

I don't know how you feel about CanAme so feel free to ignore if it's a NOTP but one fic I really like is "Learning Lessons" posted anonymously. It's also mpreg so ignore if that's a squick. It's pretty sweet with some humor and a little angst mostly just at the beginning. I also really like Resonating Souls, which is also by an anon, and one more chapter is supposed to be posted. It's Romerica with past CanAme, and Canada gives me yandere vibes I like it

I don’t ship CanAme, I’m mostly indifferent about the ship. I see America and Canada as what would be brother’s if they were human (but since they are countries I don’t think human blood relations apply to them). But anyhow, I still read both of your recommendations because I’m curious 😂

‘Learning Lessons’ is such an interesting setting and I felt like I’m pulled into the weirdest dream while reading it. Which says a lot coming from me cause I have had lots of weird dreams at a more and more frequent rate since the pandemic started. And the ending! I’m going insane I’m crying screaming I’m feeling lots of emotions 😭

I agree about the yandere vibes for Canada in ‘Resonating souls’. Btw talking about the title I feel like both fics might’ve been written by the same author? Since both use the wording of America and Canada being two souls trying to get close to each other again? But it might as well be a coincidence.

rott spoilers ahead

so i’ve given myself some time to think about everything and try to process it all and here are some of my thoughts on trollhunters: rise of the titans...

- straight off the bat, i loved the intro. opening with blinky telling the story of what happened up until this point was incredible. i would have loved if they had circled back to this though (i saw someone else say it should have been him telling the story to jim and claire’s kids and i loved that idea!)

- i also liked that they didn’t waste time at the start, instead they just jumped right into the action which was fun.

- honestly, i thought jim’s plotline throughout the movie where he basically thought he was useless without the amulet was just really not fun to watch. i understand why it was there and it played into the climax but i really did not find it one bit necessary seeing as i felt that we have grown beyond that. i felt it was overused. we’ve been there before and jim is aware that he’s the trollhunter, amulet or not.

- douxie being so soft with nari was genuinely one of the most heartwarming parts of the movie. i feel that we were really robbed of so much potential with douxie in this movie though. we didn’t see nearly enough of him. it seemed that the writers were picking and choosing when to remember how powerful he is. switching with nari and connecting to her are two examples of when they actually used his power, but aside from that they just disregarded it a lot.

- and speaking of forgetting how powerful people are... i’m genuinely so hurt and let down over what they did to claire. do they not realise how powerful she is? did they just forget about her character arc? it sure felt like it. she got to use her powers a few times (connecting to nari, portalling the titan, etc) but mostly it felt like she was saying she was spent and therefore unable to do anything. she is so strong and so powerful, and that’s just so empowering - especially for young girls. and then it kinda felt to me that rott was reducing her to basically nothing more than jim’s love interest.

- okay another quick note, it kinda felt to me that krel’s potential was also pretty wasted? he barely did anything and i just think he deserved more too.

- ew okay i don’t even want to think about it but i know i can’t discuss rott without talking about the mpreg thing. seriously, what the fuck was that? at first, i thought it was going to be a joke. i thought aja and krel were gonna wind steve up and see how far they could go with making him think he was pregnant just for a little bit of comic relief. but then he was actually pregnant. and so i laughed, because even though it was dumb it was kind of funny. weird and unexpected, but kind of funny. but by the time the movie was over it just didn’t sit right with me. looking past the fact that it was just more of them making steve’s character into a joke, i couldn’t see the logic in giving so much time to that subplot when other characters (claire, douxie) and other relationships (claire and douxie’s friendship) were sidelined. maybe if he had gotten a whole season the mpreg thing could have been included as comic relief or whatever, but with such limited time i really don’t see the point of wasting so much time on something so pointless.

- speaking of steve, i need to talk about creepslayerz... they really deserved more :( like i get that eli literally helped steve through child birth and then named one after him which was lowkey adorable but i loved their friendship so much and i was really hoping to see more of them. i was kind of hoping they’d get to do more as well. look i gave up on hopes of a romance long ago (even though i still really wished it would happen) but i hoped that at least we’d see some more of their friendship.

* by this point my brain has decided to forget absolutely every point i wanted to make... cue the brain fog (we don’t like her) and allow me to take a moment to read back and try to find my point again *

- i don’t think i can stress enough how much i loved the visuals in this movie. holy fucking shit it was just phenomenal. like wow. the art was absolutely fantastic and i’m really hoping for another the art of... book because i love the art of trollhunters and i feel that they could do with updating it to include the newer stuff. but yep, the animation quality was incredible and i don’t have a bad thing to say about it because just wow.

- speaking of art... a moment of appreciation for character designs. just wow wow wow. we love to see such intricately designed villains. we love to see growth in our other much loved characters. and the locations too? fantastic. beautiful. amazing. loved it.

- another moment of appreciation for jim. the hair. the scars. the injuries. the winter jacket. the fact that he looked a little older.... loved it. loved it, loved it, loved it. i cannot wait to spend hours pouring over reference pictures to draw them all.

- and claire... her armor being weathered and worn. her eyes!! her hair looked great as always. i just love her...

- nari nari nari... my goodness, her magic is so beautiful. i wish we got to see more.

- also, the jlaire moments were very cute. their kisses? so soft. they literally love each other so much. i adore them.

- the whole thing with archie and charlemagne felt super unnecessary. like usually characters sacrifice themselves and it’s like sad and you can see the reasoning and stuff. but they literally could have gotten out. i really did not vibe with that. it felt like they just did that to leave douxie with no one.

- that trollmarket was beautiful though.

- speaking of trollmarket... they really restored the heartstone just like that? are you joking? i was not impressed at all. the heartstone was dead and gone, could not be destroyed. did they just forget that? half the shit in wizards wouldn’t have happened if the heartstone could have been restored. very pissed off by that. it was dead, that was it.

- okay back to jim... love that he pulled the sword from the stone. it was cute that it was a group effort, kinda would have preferred if it was just him but that’s just a me thing. and maybe me and my daylight tattoo are biased here, but excalibur is not half as pretty as daylight.

- not gonna lie, jim yelling come on trollhunters! kinda got me. i was very emotional watching this.

- i think the most in character jim moment of the whole movie was when he dropped excalibur, he didn’t have his armor, he was all alone and he decided to make a fist and fight the wizard/god with literally no weapon or means of defence. i don’t think y’all understand how much i love this dumb self sacrificing selfless boy. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, he is literally one of my most favourite characters of all time. i love him with all my heart.

- the armor!! wow wow wow. that was a fucking cool scene. beautiful.

- jim getting stabbed or whatever with that fucking spear thing nearly killed me.

- okay here goes... toby. my sweet toby. jim and toby’s friendship is one of my absolute favourites ever. my goodness. and toby getting in the van and going to save jim was incredible and such a toby thing to do. of course he would think of doing that.

- but like seriously... claire and douxie are so fucking powerful and they were both just like lol i guess we can’t do anything to help jim? i’m sorry what?? don’t tell me that claire wouldn’t go full on black and purple eyes and get herself up their to him. i just... i’m so bothered by the fact that they were sidelined y’all :|

- also, do not seriously try to tell me that aaarrrgghh!!! would let toby go on his own. he would have went with him. he would have followed him.

- literally as jim was falling the first thing that went through my mind was oh aaarrrgghh!!! is gonna run up and catch him.

- and while we’re on the topic of aaarrrgghh!!! why tf did they have such a build up that something was going to happen to either him or blinky for literally no reason? wtf

- aaarrrgghh!!! would not have let toby go alone!!! if he had been there, he would have protected toby, he would have saved him and none of that mess of an ending would have happened.

- first off, i am choosing to ignore it.

- time stone? really? we’re... we’re gonna do this? literally one of the most original things i have ever watched is now - at the literal last possible minute - rip off another movie?? really?? whyyyy???

- i literally cannot express how much i hated it. it was so fucking unnecessary.

- he didn’t need to go back that far!!!

- i’m actually trying to block this out but i suppose i have to at least touch on it. jim would never ever put that burden on to toby. he just wouldn’t. before even looking at all of the other issues with toby getting the amulet, i need to say that. it just wouldn’t happen. he struggled so much with being the trollhunter, he wouldn’t put that on toby.

- also toby literally never wanted to be the trollhunter?? he never wanted the amulet? he wanted to be a duke and have his war hammer and go on adventures with his best friend and his wingman and eat mexican food.

- okay so um i guess they all just forgot about unbecoming? cool cool cool.

- seriously though, was it not established many times that jim literally had to be trollhunter? and if he wasn’t it would be draal and everything would go to shit? did they just forget about that??

- having jim just decide to give toby the amulet literally takes away from the entire meaning behind jim getting the amulet and becoming the trollhunter. the amulet chose jim. merlin chose him. out of all of the creatures in the world, it had to be jim. he can’t just give that to toby!!

- and as much as i love toby, he would not last a day as trollhunter.

- and that’s not even beginning to mention all that jim erased by not becoming trollhunter. no father son relationship between him and blinky. they didn’t stop steve from picking on eli so no steve redemption and no creepslayerz. is he just going to allow enrique to be taken? toby will not have the same incentive to go into the darklands to save him if that’s the case. strickler will not show any sort of sentiment towards toby either. and then the big one...

- IS THAT FUCKER REALLY GOING TO ALLOW CLAIRE TO NOT GET HER POWERS??? WHAT???

- if jim isn’t trollhunter and the whole thing with enrique doesn’t happen then claire will never get her shadowstaff. let’s be real, strickler probably wouldn’t even need angor rot with toby as trollhunter. somehow i can’t see him making it that far...

- if claire doesn’t have her shadow staff then the whole thing with morgana won’t happen. she won’t destroy the shadow staff and then she will never develop her powers. would jim really rob her of that?

- okay i can’t do anymore, it’s too much for me now...

- i touched on this already in a separate post but i gotta say it again... i did not enjoy the destiny is a gift bit at the end. first of all, jim having toby find the amulet literally takes the meaning of that speech and his destiny away instanty. and second, i just could not stand hearing emile hirsch say the words that belonged to anton yelchin. it was just uncomfortable.

aaand i think i’m done. maybe i’ll have more later but i have a headache now from all of this.

I just had the most chaotic sims experience of my life and I need people to hear about it

So. I’m giving the sims 3 another go because it is objectively better than the sims 4. The first thing I do is make this hot fairy sim and use a bunch of cheats to admittedly turn him into a Sex God. Like a literal Sex God. He’s got buffs that mean he rarely has to eat sleep or shit and can just flirt and fuck for all eternity because he also has an age freezing potion and will never get old. This is not the first time I have done this. I do it because it creates Drama. When I’m not playing the Sims to force my favorite characters to kiss I’m playing as a Sex God.

I’m ace btw. It’s literally just for Drama

During this time, I also download a mod called the Woohooer mod that changes a certain aspect of the game. If you’ve never played the Sims, and somehow missed it from the description above, your Sims can fuck. But they can fuck in two flavors. The first is by clicking on an option called “WooHoo” aka “We Need To Keep This Thing Rated T” and another called “Try For Baby” which is. What it says on the tin. How Sims have babies. What this mod does is make it so that it’s possible for a Sim to become pregnant through just the WooHoo option, the Try for Baby option is still there, but there’s a smaller chance for it to happen with just the Woohoo option, perfect for Drama

So I download this, I also put the fertility treatment buff in my Sex God’s arsenal because of course I do, and I send him into the world

The Sex God gets married, and he and his wife adopt a little dog, have twins, but naturally, he is still flirting and hooking up with various Sims around the town, as one would do. And eventually I move this sexy werewolf down the street for him to have an affair with. He does, and he stays at the werewolf’s house for like three days, and I decide that actually, him and this werewolf are really cute, I think I’ll have him leave his wife and marry this werewolf instead and we’ll see what happens with that.

So I switch to controlling the werewolf, and I move him into the house next door to the Sex God and his wife’s house.

This is where things get buckwild

Because, still as the werewolf, I invite the Sex God over, and he’s just a floating head. His body isn’t there. I don’t think too much of this because the Sims can sometimes be Like That so I click on him and that is when I notice a very. Strange option

“Ask to Feel Baby”

Here is something about this mod, that I did not understand

And that is that it turns on mpreg

My werewolf knocked up my Sex God

And since the game didn’t know what to do with a pregnant male sim, it just deleted his body

This was. A surprise. But whatever, I think, I can deal with this. I decide to set it up so that the werewolf takes the babies (and yes babies, fertility treatment, remember this) because the God was already going to move in with him so it’ll just make the most amount of sense to do that

I switch back to the God so that he can divorce his wife and move in with the werewolf

The wife is also pregnant

This is the part where I start to question if I should really have created a Sex God

And also their dog somehow had puppies in the time I was gone, in a twist I hope DESPERATELY was unrelated to the rest of this

I don’t have much time to consider what to do because about five minutes after I switch back the wife goes into labor. On the KITCHEN FLOOR of their house because I did not have time to set up a nursery, the wife gives birth to MORE TWINS. This household has four dogs, four babies, and a pregnant father. Everybody is screaming. I am genuinely concerned that this will crash my game

The husband is still at the werewolf’s house btw, he’s playing guitar without his torso

I pause the game.

I collect myself

I decide that I cannot have the Sex God actually divorce his wife after all that that’s just morally reprehensible. What’s acceptable apparently is that I merge households and move the husband over to the werewolf’s place so that he can give birth in a house that ISN’T over capacity and my game does not crash but he’s still married despite he and his wife not being in the same household anymore. The game allows this it’s very funny

I do that, I switch back to the werewolf, literally five seconds later the God is now giving birth on their living room floor which at least is carpeted I guess (or maybe that’s worse) he gives birth to yes, twins

This has all happened within the span of like ten IRL minutes btw

But we’re not done

Because I go to switch the Sex God back to the household with his wife so he can at least help raise the four babies to childhood before he leaves her for his sexy werewolf boyfriend that lives next door only to discover that I can’t. The house is too full. I have no choice but to get rid of the puppies (remember the puppies?) in order for him to move back in

So I do that. I switch back to the Sex God’s Poor Wife and help her with the babies and getting rid of the puppies, it takes like four in-game days to do because the adoption service is NOT FAST and also there are FOUR BABIES to deal with, but I do it. The house now has enough room for the Sex God to move back in

I switch back to the werewolf so the Sex God can say goodbye to his boyfriend and his babies before moving back in with his wife and other babies

And guess what I discover

The werewolf’s torso. Is now missing

And that is how I turned my sims game into a drama-packed Omegaverse AU by consequence of creating a playable Sex God, and why Sims 3 is superior to Sims 4
