Hi! I find that I really struggle to find Hinny fics that are longer and don’t have Ron bashing in them. Which is so infuriating and turns me off immediately. Do you know of any good ones or maybe other blogs that would have recs too?

Hi, thanks for writing in! The AO3 Harry Potter selection can definitely be daunting. I’d recommend using lots of filters and the “exclude” option to narrow things down.

To get you started, try the Romione tag on the blog and this AO3 search I made for you. You’ll want to read the tags/summaries on AO3 to make sure you’re interested before reading, but hopefully that search will give you a sense of the things you can filter for/against. Good luck and welcome :)

hey! i’m looking for fics focused on fred and george. i love them as characters but i feel like in most fics they’re in the background (or gross fics shipping them ew). can be about their lives at hogwarts or post-war related to fred’s death, i’ll take anything. even fics that are not f&g centric but still include them a lot are fine. thank you!!

Trying my luck with this one. I’m looking for a Romione fanfic (surprise, surprise) I read a few years ago. It was at least after Malfoy Manor, maybe after the battle. The trio, for some reason were staying at Andromeda’s house and Hermione woke up from a nightmare about Malfoy Manor. When Andromeda came to see what happened Hermione panicked because she thought she was Bellatrix and then they called Ron and he was the only one who could get her to relax. I think he stayed up with her all night.

Not as tragic as it sounds - this is a lovely piece that subtly shows the growing friendship between James and Lily and the merging of their lives at Hogwarts.

I feel like there are also several scenes in Commentarius by @bcdaily that match what you’re looking for (although probably not the fic you read before). If you somehow haven’t heard of this Jily legend, its an epic novel of perfect Hogwarts-era glory. Fair warning: it is a work in progress, so be prepared to reach the end and then immediately start all over as you wait for more of this beauty.
