It appeared to be a drowning, it was summertime so it wasn’t out of the realm of possibility. It was a tragedy truly, but further inspection revealed something far more sinister. He had one single gunshot wound to the head, and multiple deeply incised stab wounds across his chest and stomach. Defensive wounds line his forearms and hands, it was clear he fought for his life. What wasn’t clear, was why. Autopsy confirmed their beliefs, as he didn’t have water in his lungs proving the theory that he hadn’t drowned. He was placed there post-mortem, and left for the family who owned the pool to find the following afternoon.
