Damian: Move aside, Fenton. I need to speak with my nemesis.
Harley: For the last time, I. AM NOT. YOUR. NEMESIS!!!
Danny: Aw, c'mon, Harley. I think it's cute he has a little crush on you.
Cue Damian sputtering and incoherent as he's mercilessly teased out of the Asylum by his brothers. He can never face Harley again.
How did Danny do that?
Danny: I have siblings

Arkham Security Guard Danny's Backstory Continues!!!
But Dick Grayson isn’t the only Robin Danny knew.
A couple years after they started being friends, Danny (16) hears that Robin is back in Gotham and decides to head over for a visit.  After all, it’s a lot close than Jump City, but when he gets there…
“That’s not Robin.”
Yeah, Dick may or may not have forgotten to tell Danny he’s going by Nightwing now, and instead Danny is left staring down at this kid who looks suspiciously like Dick used to.
Cloning? No.
Kidnapping?  He really hopes not.
Maybe a de-ageing beam?  Always a possibility in this line of work, but no, this is a new Robin.
And Danny’s got to admit, the new Robin is pretty freakin’ adorable.  Dick was still pretty angsty and angry when they met, and after he formed the Teen Titans, was dangerously obsessed with Slade for a while.  But the new Robin is as bright and friendly as his costume with all his “Robin gives me magic” stuff.
And he’s just. so. WIDDLE!!!  Danny’s still only 16, but he’s finally managed to start growing and has hit a respectable 5’8”, and it’s like when you’re a senior watching the freshmen walk in for the first time.  He’s just so itty bitty!
But Danny still associates the name Robin with Dick and can’t use it to refer to this new one, yet, so unfortunately, Jason gets stuck with nicknames.  Short nicknames.  Shorty, Short Stuff, Tiny, Shrimp, etc.  Jason is not a fan of Danny.
After their meeting, Danny calls Dick because how could you not tell me you changed your moniker? …And you’re in Bloodhaven, too?!  Dick also needs to vent because he can’t BELIEVE Bruce went and replaced him.
Dick… buddy… how long did we try to get you a little sibling?
I’M A BIG BROTHER!!!!
Otherwise, direct interaction between Jason and Danny is pretty limited.  Danny is Dick’s friend; Jason is just the little brother.  Still, Dick occasionally asks Jason to help Danny study, and Danny will help with pun-filled advice on being a hero.  He’s also pretty good at first aid whenever Jason gets hurt and doesn’t want Alfred to find out it’s because he did something stupid.
After Jason’s death, Danny helped Dick search the Ghost Zone for him to get some closure, both for himself and Batman, but no luck, and tries hard to convince Dick that it’s actually better this way.
When Jason came back after his dip in the Lazarus pit, Danny can smell the corruption and calls in a favor from the Far Frozen.  Without a way to contact Jason, Danny gives medicine to Dick to pass on.
Outwardly, Jason refuses it and throws Dick out of his place, but behind closed doors, Jason takes it.  It’s a lengthy process, and the side effects suck ass, but all the corrupt ectoplasm and pit madness is purged.  Nothing he needs to tell his family about, though.
When they meet again at the Asylum, Jason was hoping to lord his new height over Danny.  Except Danny kept growing and his 6’8” ass still towers over Jason’s 6’.  The short jokes continue.  However, no short jokes or nicknames are ever directed towards Tim or Damian.  Only Jason.

Dun Dun Dunnn!!! Arkham Security Guard Danny's Epic Backstory! with Dick Grayson
I fell in love with the Arkham Guard AU by @xy-is-i and like most projects I work on, rather than starting where the story starts, I end up going backwards and delve into the backstory.  And I mean waaay into the backstory.
Because while the stories might start when the Bats run into Danny and Jazz working at Arkham Asylum isn’t where they first met.
Long, long ago, through shenanigans unknown, Robin and Phantom became friends, and honestly, they both really needed it.
Dick Grayson, age 16, has been Robin for a while, but this is so early in the day that there just aren’t many teen heroes or sidekicks yet.  He’s basically pioneering the field of child heroes.
For Danny, 14, Sam and Tucker are great, but there are just some parts of superhero-ing that they just don’t get when you don’t have to hide a secret identity.
Batman, for his part, does not approve of the friendship.  He’s already not a fan of metas in his city, but when the two of them get together, the chaos twin energy between Dick and Danny multiplies.  Worse, it brings about the pun-pocalypse, and there are only so many puns Bruce can take.  And then there’s the sibling discourse…
After all the stories Danny has told about his family, Dick is desperate to have a little sibling of his own, and the two repeatedly gang up on Batman to adopt another kid.  Their acting may be stilted, but the efforts are constant.
It never works.  Bruce doesn’t have empty nest syndrome yet, and tiny, homicidal Dick was already more than he could handle while he was trying to figure out how to adult, but he also can’t stand that he’s disappointing Dick.  Alfred isn’t helping either; he wants more grandkids.
And there’s no way in HELL that he’s adopting Phantom.
But for Robin and Phantom, they finally have someone they can talk to who gets it.  They can vent about their rogues, get help with homework, bitch about balancing their vigilantism with going to school, talk about whatever TV they’ve been watching, anything and everything.  It’s not uncommon to see them hanging off the Gotham gargoyles or grabbing a bite on top of the Nasty Burger.
There’s an unspoken rule between them that neither pries into the other’s personal life or secret identity, but as they get more comfortable with each other, little things slip out.  Then more.  Numbers are swapped, bits and pieces about their families come out.
Later on, homes and secret hideouts are visited and they know each other’s first names.  It’s not a problem for Dick to go to the Fenton’s, but technically, Danny isn’t allowed in the Bat Cave or the Manor.  Those visits happen behind Batman’s back, and they were almost caught when they hid in the chandelier before Danny remembered he could turn them invisible. (Alfred encourages the friendship and bakes extra cookies once when he finds out Danny is over.)
And eventually the relationship grows until they’re comfortable enough to swap full names.  No more secrets.
Dick likes going over to Danny’s place since it’s a chance to feel a lot more normal, even if they have to be very careful and either stay in civilian clothes in the shared areas or stay locked in Danny’s room if they’re in uniform.  Danny also goes out of his way to keep Dick from ever meeting his sister, Jazz (Danny knows he has a type).  It doesn’t stop them from swapping their numbers under the door.  (Jazz will unofficially be Dick’s therapist for years after this)
But being this close, Dick can also see just how stressed Danny is trying to maintain this lifestyle.  Doesn’t help either he has to listen to Danny’s parents go on and on about wanting to rip their own son apart, molecule by molecule.  Sure, Danny has a couple friends to help him, but he doesn’t have the same mentor or support system Dick has.  For a kid his age to be anything other than a sidekick is practically unheard of in this day and age.  Superheroes are still fairly few and far between, but Batman helped start a group called the Justice League a couple years ago with the idea that heroes could help each other.  Maybe there’s something there…
So, Dick starts the Teen Titan.  He had originally intended for Danny to join him as one of the founding members, but are you kidding?  Jump City is on the opposite side of the country!  He has school! and parents! (That’s the point, Danny. We’re trying to get you away from the parents that want to dissect you) He can’t just up and leave home and run halfway across the country!
So, Dick found the other iconic members and still joined the Titans, but Danny will always have an open invitation to join them and a room at the Tower, something Danny does occasionally take advantage of.  Jump City doesn’t spawn as many natural portals as Gotham, but he visits whenever he can and basically haunts the tower the entire month of December to get away from his family.
Still, the distance and growing up are hard on Dick and Danny, and they grow more distant over the years, but they’ll always have each other’s backs in an emergency.  Dick was there when Danny thought he was turning into a monster (it was just ghost puberty).  Danny stole the Spectre Speeder so they could scour the Ghost Zone after Jason died.  And Danny would eventually become godfather to Dick’s daughter, Mar’i.
But things cooled down between them… at least until a panicked Danny called because his sister just took a job at Arkham…

Well I don't know much of these characters, but I feel like Danny's kind of ghost are like ghost zone type. I think I've seen people call them ecto entities before so it's different from Deadman. Who knows though, mabye some ectoplasim might give them a boost.
Imagine Danny Fenton working as a security gaurd at Arkum Asylum. Like, he jokes around with the inmates, makes horrible puns, try to get his stick in the mud coworkers to crack a smile. Nobody would take this bean pole seriously. Not noticing the lean muscle underneath his skin, or the way he surveys every room he enters in an instance. He's become a favorite with several inmates like Harley and the Riddler; not afraid to make witty comebacks and banter. There is just one thing though. He tells them one day if they ever try to escape they best do it when he's off the clock because they won't otherwise. Don't mistake this for a challenge, its a warning, he informs them. And the most mysterious thing about this new gaurd is that there has yet to be a successful prison break when he's on duity. This kind of record in Arkum is unheard of. Who knows what kind of attention that might cause. Mabye even the curiosity of a certain local Vigilante.

(Apologies for constantly sending stiff in your ask box. I honestly have nothing better to do and I have too many ideas.)
That being said... Here's a new idea I'd like to share cause I have nothing better to do with it besides trying to draw it and I thought, hey, this can fit in this au possibly.
Danny being afraid of Professor Pyg not just because of the Dollotrons he makes but he gets flashbacks to his own vivisection whenever he's near the guy. Professor Pyg literally lobotomized his victims and sew doll masks to create his Dollotrons, his idea of perfection. The worst part about dollotrons is that they're alive.
I see Dollotrons as souls stuck in living tombs, here. The only way to free them is if one destroys the vessels to allow the souls to finally be at peace rather then suffer inside their former bodies, constantly wailing for help as they watch on, never to be in control again. What made those bodies them have been erased with the use of chemicals and surgery. Their mind and body is not theirs anymore. They're Professor Pyg's now.
For ghosts/halfas/liminal's to see such a thing will cause such a visceral reaction of wrongness emanating in their cores. Cause by all means, the Dollotrons should be dead with such a disconnect the body and mind has with the soul. But nope. These Dollotrons will be considered abominations. (I imagine Danny having a similar reaction to Garnet from SU when she saw the gem shard fusions in a way cause like, in some ways, the dollotrons are most like Halfas like him. But more twisted)
Danny makes sure to keep his interactions with Pyg to a minimum. Everyone notices and doesn't blame him. Even the Joker is put off by Pyg (in Arkham Knight). Joker!
[Just more possible interactions and world building (?) for this au I guess... I really need sleep TwT]
Add this Pyg a**hole to the list of villains for Danny to go feral on.

*Slowly slides a new ask idea thing*
... Ok, but like, like most inmates/patients in Arkham, Danny does not like Lyle Bolton (Batman: The Animated Series) at all, not when the man is blatantly abusing his power through (rather severe) punishments that end up setting back any sort of progress for anyone. Danny does his best to avoid most interactions with Bolton if he can.
Bolton, as the chief of security for Arkham, can respect Danny for not chickening out like most new hires during the first escape, but over time, as the man watches Danny seemingly perfect track record of no escapes while on duty along with him befriending the main rogues gallery especially, well, the man's suspicious of Danny.
Oh, and what's this? Cameras tend to Glitch and go static when Danny's nearby, especially during escape attempts. Bolton begins to grow wary and paranoid with Danny, so much so that, while most of the staff appreciate Danny, they all notice the blatant disrespect Bolton shows to him.
The longer Danny stays working at Arkham, the closer Bolton descends to becoming Lock Up. However, for this AU, his goal is simple. Locking Danny up in someway so Arkham stays intact and the prisoners stay where they're meant. After all, how else is this non-gothamite shrimp-looking kid able to cow the inmates to behave as they do? Bolton starts to believe Danny is allied with all the inmates and is doing the long-con of their inevitable escape and destruction of Arkham. Well, not under his watch!
He ends up somehow learning of the GIW and gain their sponsor of sorts, who fills him in about Danny being a person of interest and is to be detained and sent to their nearest lab immediately. As long as Danny's gone from Gotham, Lock Up will gladly help the GIW to keep the inmates in their cells till they rot. As they should be anyways.
Inmates notice Bolton's descent to seemingly madness and how he grumbles a lot about Danny. Not good. They grow protective of Danny. After all, despite how terrifying and creepy he may be, he's one of the very few who treat them well and respectfully. Like hell they'll let Bolton of all people try and hurt Arkham's favorite guard for any reason.
When the day Bolton manages to get his hands on Danny for GIW, a war might as well rain over Gotham now.
(Unsure if any of this makes sense anymore)
Now I don't know this Bolton but he sounds like a jerk. I wonder if he would try to get Batman in on his anti Danny campaign. Mabye even bringing the GIW into Bat's radar.
It could become extra angst if Batman believes the GIW lies and thinks they are in the right as a government organization, or be against them. Thinking the GIW runs a bit too close to anti meta campaigns.

... Casually throws more fuel to the fire
Residents of Arkham learn about Danny and his "death day" in one way or another. (Coincidentally, it aligns with the same day 2nd Robin died cause of Joker here)
What caused an uproar was when Danny slipped about how during his "death day", he's in quite a bit (read: a lot) of pain and he thinks it might be because of having no grave. Which- oh boy... BATMAN DIDN'T GIVE YOU A GRAVE!?
"Wait wait- what do you mean you don't have a grave!?"
"... I mean... Kinda hard to have a proper funeral of sorts when there wasn't a body left to have one and all. Plus, why would Batman give me one, anyways?"
Everyone's looking at Joker and later Batman. They're both in hot shit. Mainly Joker atm since Batman ain't in Arkham for them to target- at least not until they do a massive breakout just to solely torment him later on.
Like you said, it's mostly general concensus at this point that Death Day is painful. Physically and/or mentally, the amount depends on how much angst the author wants to give.
That being said, you'd think that would mean Danny would take that day off. But we all know he is also the kind of self-sacrificing idiot that would so cover a co-worker's shift that day after being litterly begged too, thanks to understaffing. That or he just forgot but I'm pretty sure it would be hard to forget after the first few times and Jazz would probably call him like before, during, and after his death day because it is just traumatic all around for Danny.
Furthermore, he probably doesn't want to call and talk to Sam or Tucker about it because it makes them feel guilty and he doesn't want to bug them well they are off doing collage things or whatever. Even if his friends are 100% willing to be there for him.
As for the whole inmates knowing about it. Idk if Danny just let it slip or something, perhaps made a joke thinking that no one would believe it anyways. Completely forgetting this is Gotham and weirder things had happened. Though now there is a debate between the inmates on whether Danny was resuscitated, brought back through superhero shenanigans, or is just a zombie or something.
One particularly brave and/or foolish inmate just straight up asks Fenton if he eats brains. He gets a confused no in response, so most tend to cross zombie off the list after that.

Idea: The longer Danny works at Arkham, the more comfortable he is in allowing his ghost form to bleed through his human form around the inmates, patients, and even the staff. At that point, when his human form and ghost form are nearly indistinguishable from one another, everyone in Arkham makes sure not to let any of the bats know that Danny's less than human, not wanting him to leave cause he really does make staying at Arkham that much bearable... As long as you follow his instructions/rules while he's on duty. When he's off shift, it's all fair game but then, the next time you get caught, you'd be met with a disappointed look that shouldn't be as effective as it is. No one likes the disappointed look.
So like, Batfam knows of Danny and how he seems to keep Arkham somehow stable, but they can't, for the life of them, learn anything about him. When they try to meet him, nope, sorry, distraction, or, oh no, you just missed him. Part of this is also due to Danny avoiding them like the plague, cementing partial rumors of him being once with the batfam at some point. Some think he was 2nd Robin. Danny doesn't know about the conspiracy theories about him yet.
Omg yes. Tho I feel like Danny wouldn't be full ghost form looking, there is definitely something off with him. Like his ears are tapered, his hair sways in a non existent breeze, a grin too sharp and eyes that shine like a cats. Not to mention the chill that always seems to follow him along with the feeling of other. Definitely feeling uncanny Valley here.
As for the gaurds and some of the inmates. YES!! They absolutely do try to hide Danny whenever Batman is around. Either cuz the weird he's estranged family conspiracy theories, or because of the rumored Batman's no meta rule. Like they finally have a decent gaurd they are not gonna let a brooding furry chase him off.
Like I just imagine Batman is there dropping off an escaped inmate and like several employees just take off running to find Danny. Like yoo, you're needed to...help move a box! In the . . Supply closet and far away from the entrance! Is this totally sus? Yes. Does Danny go along with it cuz he also wants to avoid bat-tention(Bat attention)? Also yes.

Counter point. Even if Jazz did just graduate, I'm pretty sure not a lot of doctors are lining up to apply at Arkham Asylum. They prob desperate for new hires, especially considering their psych doc track records.
Ok so it’s the classic psychiatrist Jazz Fenton that works at Arkham but everybody thinks that she going to become a villain if she hasn’t already. While she seems like she actually wants to help them get better but something is off. For example she weirdly knows how to break into a heavily guarded building without anyone noticing, how to run from the government, one time Victor Zsasz tried to attacked her but she almost broke his spine. Then a couple weeks later her little brother and little sister Danny and Ellie got hired as a security guards they’re even more suspicious, at first glance they look like normal humans but then if you pay attention a little you start to notice some oddities like how they never seem to breathe or how their hair moves like there is a constant breeze and one time one of the inmates caught Danny changing clothes and saw an old y shaped scar. So the villains are making theories on who they are.
But at least they are good at their jobs I mean Danny and Ellie make sure that no one escapes and Jazz is a really good psychiatrist convincing some of the rogues to reform. But since no one has escaped from Arkham in a couple months now it’s starting to get the attention of some bats and birds.

Nightwing and Red Hood try to convince security guard, Danny Fenton, to let them "borrow" Harley Quinn for the night
Danny: So why do you need me to let Harley out for you?
Nightwing: C'mon, Danny, buddy...
Harley: Yeah, he's your friend! Do him a solid.
Danny: Shush! Why?
Red Hood: I'm gonna kill the Joker.
Danny: Oh no! No way in any hell am I letting you make him my problem!
Bonus:
Red Hood: I died! Do you have any idea what- wait, no, forgot who I was talking to. Let me try again.

Danny left his hometown at the ripe age of 23, vowing to never let heroism cross world's with his personal life ever again -- even if it meant hanging up the mantel of Phantom.
He gets an apartment in Gotham and begun to work as a Arkham security guard for keeping himself from getting too rusty, not to mention how fun it was to scare whoever tried to escape the joint. But by doing so, he accidentally gains a reputation of being the cryptid guard who can change in personality at the toss of a coin -- one moment he could be cackling at puns with Riddler and another he will be threatening the Joker and succeeding.
Tim Drake eventually hears word of this guard and begins to do research for days only to find absolutely nothing strange about his record; having a direct family, good amount of friends when reaching college, easily getting a degree in the science of astronomy -- but there was something off about it that Tim could not understand. So much so, that he lets Bruce in on it.
Eventually, the entire bat family was monitoring Danny alongside their hero work.
Danny himself knew about the bats that followed his every move during night and day, feeling eyes burn into his skull to the point of feeling annoyed. But, he did not act on that annoyance; knowing that one day they will confront each other.
So for now, he just acts human.

Lol, I'd like imagine that even as a full human Danny is just as reckless and chaotic as half ghost Danny, powers or none.
Okay Danny phantom x DCU phandom, I need some help:
I wanted make a Arkham Guard Danny AU BUT Jazz is his little sister and halfa.
Basically, Jazz, chasing her obsession ends up in the Arkham asylum, and Danny, her overprotective-one-man-army-brother end being a security guard in Arkham just to make sure that she's safe.
But i don't know how to build it

Clown around and find out
Part 5 of my Danny is an Arkham Security Guard AU (og tumblr post)
[Read on AO3] [Read on FF.net]
<< Prequel - How to confuse a Bat
Jazz took a deep breath, trying to center herself.
She had been left alone with the bats in the cave with probably no way of getting out of there, at least not when her brother abandoned her leaving more questions than answers.
Jazz had noticed how Danny was avoiding actually answering anything. It could be easy - explain he was a ghost, how he died and came back, why were they so scared of the GIW. Transform with a dramatic flare, if he so desired, to show that everything they said was true and real.
But no. He left her in a cave with the Bats. Alone. Great.
“I’m so sorry about my brother, he likes to storm out when things get awkward.” She said as she pulled out her phone, speed dialing Danny. He picked up after five rings. “Danny, turn around.” She didn’t wait for him to talk.
“No.”
His voice was very distorted by ghost speak, so he must have not only transformed but also was very angry. Figures.
“Danny, we talked about this. Let the bats deal with their stuff. Only interfere when-”
“When a ghost is involved, I know.” Her brother grumbled, static still entwined with his voice. She couldn’t understand what he was whispering under his breath but she didn’t need to.
“Turn. Around.”
“No. The clown killed people under my protection. He must pay.”
“Killed?” She started to question, but a hand stole her phone from her. She looked up, finding Bruce putting her phone on speaker.
“What do you know?” He demanded.
Danny cursed in ghost speak.
“I don’t have time to deal with this. Help me or stay out of my way, Batman.”
“Danny, don’t be rude.” Jazz picked her phone back, giving the man an annoyed look for taking it away. “It is their city. We are guests. You wouldn’t like them rushing into the Ghost Zone messing with things.”
There was a bit of silence partially filled with sounds of rushing wind.
“I hate that you have a point.”
“I’m your older sister, of course I’m right.” Jazz heard someone huff behind her, but she didn’t turn to check. She suspected it was Damian.
