Alice is an aristocrat who strives to maintain good repute among high society. Recently, she discovered that her father (who is certainly not of good repute) had another child, a boy he quickly sent away as to not risk giving up his riches to an heir.

Eager at the prospect of preventing her father from continuing to squander the family fortune on stupid things (and also quite excited about who this secret brother might be), she sought out her missing sibling with very little luck.

Eventually Alice resorted to rumors of a strange man-machine that held the answer to every question. Despite the pleas of her butler she set off one chill night in search of answers, and by some stroke of luck she indeed found the Wandering Automaton.

She presented to it an odd contraption. Alice had bought it from a young engineer who claimed he had received the Automaton's wisdom before, but refused to tell her what he had asked. Regardless, the Automaton took the offering, curiously inspecting it as Alice asked her question.

The response was short, cryptic and did little more than infuriate Alice, but the Automaton simply left the young aristocrat, confident it had told her all the needed to know.

Princess Annelise, the only surviving member of the Castis royal family. Character owned and designed by @legionnaire-r.

Oscar and Art met her posing as a page boy at their evil queen-assigned kingdom of Castis. She had planned to kill the two in revenge for being part of the queen's plan, but turns out Oscar's kind of okay actually and Art's... too pathetic to murder frankly so the stabbing plan has been put on hold while they all help overthrow the queen and her wizard.

ok I've got a prompt list with a generous two days to get each prompt done (made by deemee_d) so I'll be throwing down a little bit of lore about the Arkan gang this month!

1 - "Starhorn stag beetles are fairly common during summer in Chrotis, though they prove challenging to catch."

2 - "Having noticed her daughter's interest in the royal guard's practice drills, the soldier gifted the princess her first sword."

3 - "Smoke continued to rise long after the fires had been put out; it was hard to gauge just how much damage had been done."
