Goodbye./Dongsooks now inactive

So it should be quite clear to everyone that this blog is dead. Has been for a while now. I don’t have motivation in my currect situation to run this blog alone, so I’ll be leaving it. I won’t deactivate, I’ll just leave the blog here in case anyone still wants to read the posts. And as admin Asa, the original creator of the blog has unfortunately disappeared and has not answered any of my messages, I doubt she’ll have an opposing opinion. (Don’t get me wrong, I don’t blame her for anything, life happens to everyone and I wish her a happy one.)

I’m grateful having had this opportunity, and for every single follower, mutual or not, active or not, for following this blog. If someone wishes to still follow me, you can at @lolwhenwilliever. I think I’m gonna start a brand new writing blog, but we’ll see. At first I was thinking of brushing the dust off of this one, but it doesn’t feel right as it is not completely mine. So I’ll start fresh, feel free to follow me there, I would be honored. I’ll link it here after it’s done. Thank you everyone, and goodbye!

Best Friends to Lovers - Chen

A/N: Hi @noona-clock T! I couldn’t decide whether or not to do bullet points or a scenario so I’m gonna throw in some blurbs in between the bullets. It’s messy as hell and turned out to be a high school!au, which I’m sorry about, but I hope you like it regardless!

and annoying

basically just obnoxious

that’s a no-brainer

but he made up for it being the sweetest human being on earth

so kind to everyone, especially those who are more shy

you went to the same school, but didn’t really know each other right away

neither of you were necessarily the ‘popular’ kids

you just had a different group of friends

but at some point they slowly started molding together

and you started talking to him more

and realized how freaking cute he is

“Oh hey (Y/N), we’re going to get pizza after school. You wanna come with us?” Your friend smiled at you, with a hopeful look. You were unsure, you had an essay half way ready and you really wanted to finish it in time.

“Uh, I don’t know...” You explained the situation. Your friend shrugged, it wasn’t unusual for you to be busy and they weren’t going to pressure you. Except that someone else was.

“Oh come on!” A boy, called Jongdae, whined. He sounded funny, and it made you smile. “So what about some stupid essay? It’s not like you can’t finish it later today. Besides, I can promise you this pizza is worth it!”

you two became quite close soon

and he was just so easy to be around

soon you found yourself spending most of your time with him

you two would be hanging out even if others from your group of friends couldn’t make it, you could always trust each other to be around

he often liked to tease you

about anything he could

you figured he just liked making people flustered

or if he was bored

he’d do pretty much anything to annoy you

to the point where you just had to give him attention

but you had your ways to get back at him

in fact, you were one of the very few people who could make him plead for forgiveness and mercy

on emergency occations, when he needed you to do something but he didn’t have the time to start bickeringand begging

he’d gather the best aegyo he could pull together

and throw it at you

it usually got him whatever he wanted

not only was this guy the most fun person you’ve ever met

he was also hella caring

“Yo it’s Jongdae, we had the spanish vocab test tomorrow right? Which chapter was it from again?”

he texts because he knows you may not remember so he tries to remind you without letting you know he noticed your forgetfulness

if you’ve posted something on your social media on a night out;

“Isn’t it your bedtime soon? Get out of the club granny!”

he was just joking though, and he’d always send something right after to let you know that, like;

“No but seriously, do you need a ride home?”

Your class was about to start, the teacher was going to be there any minute now, and Jongdae was missing. Your eyes switched from your wrist watch to the door and back. The teacher was just about to step into the classroom, but before she could make it all the way through the door a boy pushed his way past her and ran to the back to sit on his seat next to you. The teacher shook her head, but let it slide this time. Even though Jongdae was a handful, he was still hardworking.

“Ah, really Jongdae...” you whined, but still accepted the two cranola bars he had dug out of his pocket and was holding out to you. It wasn’t the first time he had gone to the corner store on his way to school to grab something for you. “Come on, I saw your instagram story,” he muttered, still a little out of breath. “I’ll stop feeding you when you learn to make time for eating breakfast!” Oh yeah, you had in fact posted a quick picture of the pretty sunrise, with a text saying how you’d probably enjoy the morning more if it weren’t for your empty stomach.

you were quite surprised he didn’t date anyone

in your opinion, he was as near to perfect as it can get

but you just figured he wanted to focus on his studies

and somehow you felt a little glad you could get him all to yourself and didn’t have to share him with some stupid girlfriend, who probably wouldn’t even appreciate him enough

when it was time for prom!!!

it was obvious to everyone that you two would go together

and you did

although you told Jongdae if some other girl asked him, he could go with them if he wanted to

“So, you know, if someone else asks you, feel free to say yes. You don’t absolutely have to go with me.” You finished with a shrug, and looked at Jongdae. He rubbed his chin, pretending to think. “Hmm, I would, but then you wouldn’t have anyone else to go with,” he said with a look that was almost pitiful, but you could still see a sparkle in his eyes. Your eyes widened, and you yelled at him, “Yah! I’m perfectly capable of finding another guy to go with! You’re not the only male friend I have!” This just made Jongdae burst into laughter. After he calmed down, he ruffled your hair, and smiled. “Don’t worry silly, I wouldn’t wanna go with anyone else but you!”

He most likely didn’t expect it, but you had heard girls talking about asking him to prom. One day, you were walking down the hallway as you noticed Jongdae was talking with someone. You hid behind a corner, not that you were stalking them, you were just curious and didn’t want to interrupt. You heard the girl laugh at one of Jongdae’s jokes, and then clear her thoat. “So listen, Jongdae, I was actually wondering if you’d wanna go to prom with me?” You felt your heart beat a bit faster as you waited for him to answer. Part of you was somehow ready to be disappointed after hearing him agree to going with her. However; “Ah, sorry, I���m already going with (Y/N). Thanks for asking though, I bet I could set you up with a friend of mine if you want?” You exhaled deeply. Why did you even doubt him? And, now that you thought about it, why were you this relieved Jongdae chose you over someone else? Not that this was a competition, but...

you had fun all thoughout the prom night

you danced with pretty much all your friends

and learned that Jongdae was... a horrible dancer

you had briefly practiced the basic waltz, just to make sure he knew the steps, and he did pretty well

but freestyle dancing however...

luckily as it was Jongdae, he didn’t mind one bit

he knew how to laugh at himself too and made it fun

the night was over too soon

and now it was time the last slow dance

you glanced at Jongdae, unsure

but he held out his hand for you, with a smile on his face

and you took his hand and let him guide you to the dancefloor

you put your hands on his shoulders and he let his rest at your waist

swaying you two from side to side

he stared humming the song

and you found yourself relaxing

even though your bodies weren’t really leaning against each other

it was actually kind of fun

until the couples around you started sucking on each others mouths

You made a disgusted face at Jongdae. “Wanna get out of here?” he suggested, and when you nodded he took your hand once again and lead you away from the crowd, down the hallway and outside into the school yard. You stood there for a while, looking at the sky and making sure both of you had had fun so far. What you hadn’t realized, was that it was quite late, which meant it was getting a bit chilly out side. A gust of wind made goosebumps appear on your skin, and you tried to warm yourself up by wrapping your arms around yourself, cursing for not bringing a jacket. Like that had been his codeword, Jongdae took off his blazer and threw it around your shoulders. Then, he turned you around and pulled you against his chest, wrapping his arms around you. Being this close to him, you couldn’t help but look into his eyes. Unusual to Jongdae, he wasn’t grinning widely. Instead, his eyes were soft and his smile was gentle and his lips were attractive and quite close to you and had they always looked so kissable? Before you even had time to answer to any of those questions you felt Jongdae lean in closer to you and now his lips were on yours, cautious but warm and still. After a few seconds the reality hit you and you pulled away. Your head was so full of questions, but you couldn’t possibly deal with all of them now, so all you could say was; “We should go back inside, they’re probably wondering where we disappeared off to.” Jongdae nodded as you gave him his blazer back.

not gonna lie, you felt a bit weird about it afterwards

and so did Jongdae

it was a bit awkward for a week after that

you didn’t talk as much

if you did it was sort of small talk

after a whole week of that, on Friday you stopped him after school to talk

you explained how you didn’t like how you went from best friends to these awkward acquaintances

he agreed, but seemed a little weird

“Is there something you want to tell me?” you asked him with raised eyebrows. He chuckled, lowering his head. “Isn’t it already pretty obvious, kitten?” You blinked, taken aback my the nickname. But you were too confused by the turn of this situation, and didn’t say anything, so Jongdae sighed. “I guess I’m gonna have to say it since you can’t read signals... I really like you, (Y/N). And, I don’t know, I hoped you’d like me too.” You stared at him, mouth ajar. Your thoughts were dashing left and right, and you couldn’t do anything but stare at Jongdae, who was now starting to uncomfortably change his weight from one foot to another. You were just about to say something, but just then a car honked and Jongdae turned around to look. “Welp, my ride’s here. See you later, yeah?” He walked to the car and opened the door, but before he jumped in, he turned to yell; “You have my number, so think about it and let me know!”

over the weekend you got flashbacks of moments, moments when Jongdae had discreetly but clearly hinted at how he felt about you

on Sunday you realized you couldn’t go back to school with the uncomfortable athmosphere, so you texted him, saying of course you liked him back and that you couldn’t wait to see him again on Monday

the next Monday, you were walking to school

you had a spanish class first

Jongdae was most likely late again

but this time you had made sure you had time to eat breakfast

so he couldn’t have been late because of you, right?

you just about placed your hand on the door handle, when you felt someone grab you by your other hand

you turned around, and it was Jongdae

holding a huge bar of chocolate

out of breath as per usual

you waited for him to calm down, and when he did-

“Will you be my girlfriend?”

he said it so bluntly

and you certainly had not expected it

so you were pretty much speechless

but he waited patiently

(still lowkey panting)

and when you had gathered your thoughts

you realized there was nothing to even think about

so you just wrapped your arms around his neck

and kissed him

safe to say the whole school, if not had they been waiting for it, weren’t surprised when you walked through the hallways to class hand in hand

and Jongdae was proud to show you off

proud to let everyone know you were now only his

“What’s wrong jagi?” Seungcheol would instantly be able to tell when something was off. He’d do his best to help you out, even if he wasn’t completely sure what the whole thing was about. If the problem wasn’t solved after a little brainstorming, he’d get frustrated himself too and offer to take you out to relax for a bit.

“You know what, let’s get your minds off of this for a while. How’s pizza sound? Or we could go watch a movie, there’s this new one out which I think you’d like, it’s about...”

Jeonghan:

‘Wow, what a good boyfriend I am,’ he’d think to himself as he made his way towards your house. ‘Surprising my baby with a movie night after they’ve been complaining about the amount of stress school is giving them’. Alas, when you opened the door for him and he yelled “Surprise!”, you weren’t excited at all. “I’m sorry Jeonghannie, I have an exam coming up, and I have to study!”

He’d pout and whine, so you promised to watch the movie with him after you were done. So, he’d sit around, waiting and waiting, but it took too long.

“Hurry up (Y/N)!“

“I’d finish this faster if you offered me some help!”

“Alright,” he’d say as he came over to peek at your work over your shoulder. Then, he snached the book in front of your nose and walked back into the living room. “Get your butt over here, or we’re never having movie nights ever again.”

Joshua:

With the patience of a thousand mother lions, Joshua was there to help you with anything. He’d sit next to you, study the subject himself for a few moments before trying his best to explain it to you. And if you still didn’t get it, he’d try again and again from new perspectives or using different methods. Every time you solved a question correctly, he’d compliment you. “Good job sweetheart! See? I told you you could do it.” He’d understand your wishes to do well in school, so he would do his best in supporting you.

Jun:

He’d be helpful without even realizing it. He’d ask you to tell him what part you couldn’t get, so he’d try to help you understand it. But when you finished explaining, he’d just stare at you, blinking. “I... I didn’t quite understand.”

So you sigh, and go over it again. But still; “Sorry, I still don’t get it.” You’d end up going over the problem a few times until suddenly a lightbulb went off in your head. Jun would definitely be confused when you thanked him with a kiss on the cheek, but he was happy you weren’t puzzled anymore.

Hoshi:

Hosh would use the best type of therapy he knows: laugh therapy. In the middle of listening to you complaining, he’d put on some music, pull you up from your seat and start swinging your ams up and down. “Dance with me!” When you slowly began to relax more, he’d jump on the couch or start wiggling his whole body; anything to make you laugh. After his mission was completed, Hoshi would kiss you and tell you not to take it too seriously, just do your best and be proud of yourself for finishing what you had to.

Wonwoo:

If ever there was something in your mind, Wonwoo would try to encourage you to talk about it. He’d listen all throughout your rant for hours on end if that’s what you needed. He’d even lend a shoulder to cry on, rubbing your back to help you let it all out. In the end, that should make you feel at least a little better.

After you were done with venting, he’d try to help you find a solution. There’s not much that couldn’t be solved with some reasoning. Carefully going through the situation, offering options, Wonwoo would be determined to make sure you knew you weren’t alone with whatever was stressing you out.

Woozi:

This boy would definitely relate to having stress over work, but he wasn’t sure he would be that helpful. So, he’d try to come up with things to ease your mind. You came home to a freshly cooked meal, the table set and some flowers in a vase in the middle of it. He’d come out of the bathroom and meet your astonished eyes. “I thought this time I’d treat you a bit. Just take a seat, and I have the bath running for you so you can relax in there after you finish eating.”

After the meal and the bath, he’d have you change into your favorite pyjamas and wrap you into a blanket in his arms, so he could lull you to sleep with a sweet song. After you fell asleep, he’d place a kiss on your head - and quietly rush out of the bedroom to cringe at himself.

DK:

Seokmin’s trick would be to try and come up with keywords. Something that would remind you of the correct answer. He has a pretty witty mind, so he’d set some examples for you. And, of course, the funnier or weirder, the more effectively you would remember them.

When you got the gist of it and started making up weird keywords yourself, he would be so proud in a way. And obviously happy that he could help. Although, who knows how long your productiveness lasts. It wouldn’t take too long for the both of you to end up laying next to each other on the ground, tears streaming from the corners of your eyes from all the laughter.

Mingyu:

Of course he’d want to help. But studying is so boring... Mingyu would want to make staring at books a bit more fun. That’s when he’d have an idea. Maybe a study picnic? You two would make muffins and sandwiches and fruit salad and smoothies together and head out to a nice nearby park. Mingyu would lay down a blanket where you could sit and study. If you felt stuck, he would feed you the food you made, or take your hand and lead you on a small walk around the park, before you could return to studying with full stomachs and refreshed minds.

The8:

This baby boy’s heart would ache for you. He’d try his best to help you out, but if there was nothing he could do, he’d try to do things to give you more energy. He’d help out with the dishes, grab you a coffee and a cupcake, or bring you flowers or scented candles. Something to make your working environment a bit more encouraging.

However, if he thought you were pushing yourself too far or you were being too hard on yourself, he’d force you to take a break. There was no sense in overworking yourself, then the finished quality wouldn’t be as good. A date or a sleepover would be nice, right?

Seungkwan:

Seungkwan couldn’t believe there was something that you found difficulty to execute. You were a superwoman! Of course he would be eager to help if you asked him, but he’d want to make it fun, and maybe joke around a bit. So, he’d pretend to know everything about the subject at hand, and tell you exciting facts. He was actually quite proud of himself, wondering how impressed you must be. Seungkwan probably even tricked himself into thinking he knew all those things. Until you caught him.

“Actually... Camels don’t store water in their humps, it’s fat they store in there.”

“Oh- well, see! You are smart!!”

Vernon:

Not to imply that Vernon here isn’t as smart as others, but I just have a feeling he might not be the most helpful one. You’d ask him for help but he could be just as clueless as you. He would offer his opinions if that’s what you needed, and he’d probably try to come up with some last minute tips to relax your nerves.

Vernon, no matter how fun loving he is, wouldn’t want to disturb your concentration, so he’d take it as his job to ensure you got to work in peace. However, if you suggested a small get-away from your source of stress, he’d be right with you in a heartbeat!

Dino:

Channie is just a huge fanboy of yours on a daily basis. He’s so in awe of everything you do. So when something comes in your way, he’s ready to fight.

“Why are they being so unfair to you? I mean, don’t they realize you already have a lot on your plate?! Just give me the names, and I’ll go take care of it. Whose ass do I have to kick for you, huh?”

Obviously he’s just hoping to get a smile on your face. When he succeeds, he’ll sit down with you and take your hand. “No, but seriously, if there’s anything I can do to help, let me know and I’ll do my best.”

Always There For You

A/N: AAAHH thank you @noona-clock T for requesting - and following! It took me ages to get any sort of idea (even though Jongdae is my bias too, so one would think it’d be easy to come up with something) but I finally got this idea while reading the lyrics to El Dorado. I know this is not the best quality because of writer’s block, but I hope you enjoy nevertheless!

The lights dimmed down, before small spotlights started circling the stage. Feeling your hands starting to sweat, you gripped your microphone tighter, in fear of it slipping from your fingers. You closed your eyes, breathing in slowly in order to calm your nerves.

Three years. It’s been three years since your group’s debut. There had been ups and downs, just like any other group, only to you it seemed you had more downs. No matter how hard you trained and practiced, the comebacks seemed to go unnoticed. Your fanbase was very sweet though, and always tried their best to support you, but maybe it just wasn’t enough. In fact, you had begun to think that your group just wasn’t meant to last.

The hardest point, when you were even on the verge of giving up, was when the dating rumors started going around and soon blew up, your name showing up in every headline. “(Y/G/N)’s leader (Y/N) and EXO’s Chen”. It surprised you how some fans could pick up your relationship from the smallest things, like from the quick glances at each other across the room or a couple bracelet you had made sure you would wear only at home, but when you forgot to take it of that one day...

But your company was on your side, thankfully, and your fans were actually happy for you. So, after some serious conversations and weighing the pros and cons, you officially confirmed the rumors to be true. Jongdae was way more excited than you were, happy that he could finally show you off without having to hide his feelings. You, on the other hand, felt still a bit nervous, afraid the disapproving fans weren’t the minority like Dae had tried to assured you.

But now you were finally here, standing on the stage, waiting for the winner to be announced. This was your chance at your first win. As the silence grew longer, your heartbeat got faster and you were almost sure it would soon break through your ribs. This win would mean the world to you, it would show you your hard work had been noticed and it was appreciated. But it would mean twice as much to your fans, and as much as you wanted it for yourself, you felt you wanted to share it with everyone who supported you.

Screams filled your ears. Your eyes flew open, but you could only see a hazy mass of people in front of you, yelling, cheering. Blinking a few times, you tried to clear your eyesight, but soon realized it was tears that blurred your vision. Confusion filled you, goddamnit you were so lost in your thoughts that you completely missed the winner being announced. Wiping your eyes on the back of your hand, you turned to look at your members, who were also crying, crouching on the floor or hanging onto each others arms. Slowly, you started to make out what the crowd was chanting. It was your name, the name of your group. You had won. Now you were sure your heart was about to burst from your chest, but from happiness. For a while you just wanted to stare at your fans, wanting to store this feeling deep into your heart and mind. Your focus was drawn back to reality as felt a tug at the hem of your shirt. Your maknae was there, pointing at your microphone.

“Oh, right!” you whispered, raising the mic to the same level with your lips and trying to collect your thoughts as best as you could.

“Umm... I- I can’t tell you how happy this makes us, how much this means to all of us. It is a relief to receive our first win, but I promise you this will only push us to do better in the future. I’d like to thank our company, our managers, our staff-” you let your eyes roam around the crowd, trying to remember everyone.

“Our families of course, and friends and-”

Your eyes had reached EXO’s table, all the boys were smiling brightly at you, all but one...

You had to double check. Yup, no, one was missing. Jongdae wasn’t there. Another stream of tears rose to your eyes. You couldn’t believe he didn’t come. After reassuring you all night last night, you couldn’t believe he would miss this.

A nudge on your side woke you up from your thoughts.

“And of course all our beautiful fans, you deserve this just as much as we do, we love you, thank you so much!” you finished the speech fast, throwing your fist in the air as you yelled out the last words. Your song started playing in the background, and you gathered all your members into a group hug as confetti started raining down from the ceiling. Tears of joy streamed down everyone’s cheeks, but you weren’t sure if yours were of joy, or of disappointment. Suddenly you felt, just, tired. You wanted to go home and sleep. Still, you tried to perform the encore of your winning song with the same energy as you always did, not wanting to let down your fans.

Finally you got to go backstage, you gave your mic away to a person of your staff and turned to walk towards your designated green room. As you spun around on your heels, you almost bumped into someone standing right behind you. You were about to apologize, but before you could say a word, they spoke first.

“Congratulations!!” he yelled, throwing his arms in the air, only to wrap them tightly around you a second after.

“Ch-chennie? You’re here?” you asked in confusion. Did he get here just now?

“Of course I am! What, you thought I wouldn’t come? I wouldn’t miss it for the world!” Jongdae let you go, only to rest his hands on your shoulders, his wide smile beaming at you.

Now you felt a bit stupid, doubting him. “I just thought, since you weren’t sitting at your table.... I thought you had something better to do.”

“Pfft, what could possibly be more important? I needed to be here, to congratulate you!”

Oh, yeah. You won. Your first win. Gosh, suddenly you were so grateful and happy again. Then, another possibility came to mind, although you knew you shouldn’t even think about it anymore. You couldn’t help but to turn your eyes towards the floor. “But what if we hadn’t won?”

You felt gentle fingers caressing your cheek, before they hooked under your chin and made you look back up. The smile on Jongdae’s lips had become so very gentle. “Then I would’ve been here to comfort you.”

That softer side of him always made you swoon and your heart swell. You leaned in to place a peck on his lips. “Thank you Jongdae.”

“You’re welcome kitten.” He stared into your eyes for a while, before taking a step back and offering you his arm. “Now let’s go celebrate!”

You laughed, taking his arm and letting him lead you. You thought about it for a while, but slowed your steps to draw his attention. “Actually... how’s a movie night? I don’t feel like partying, but, we can get a bottle of wine?”

Opposite of what you thought, Jongdae didn’t start whining about how he wanted to go out. Instead, he nodded. “Sounds good to me love.”

Hey there, it’s admin Fay here! So, as most of you (or none, idk) have probably noticed, we’ve been inactive as hell. For admin Asa, it’s medical reasons, but I won’t go into it because even I don’t know much. People are taking care of her and hopefully she will get better soon. As for me, summer vacation has been busy, full of work and trips and now that it’s coming to an end, I need to put all of my focus and energy in studying for my last finals.

Because of not having time to finish the current ones we have, I’m going to have to close requests for the time being. I don’t want to make you wait, so I think this is what we should do right now. I will try my best to finish the existing requests we have, but unfortunately I don’t write for all the groups, so you’ll just have to wait for admin Asa to get back. Turns out Ben had decided it would be really cool to try and climb to the roof of your school, but as much as you hate to be a killjoy you told them it was pretty dangerous, and in order to get to the campus area you needed to basically break an entering, putting you in great trouble if you got caught. So, you talked the rest of them around, and eventually Gemma too agreed that it probably wasn’t worth it, and Changkyun admitted he was getting a bit tired, as it was getting closer to 4 am.

And so, you all said goodbyes and wished each other sweet dreams as you parted ways and turned to walk back home. After a little while you noticed someone was following you. You turned around and were met with a gently smiling Changkyun.

“You don’t really need to walk me home, you know?” you said with a chuckle, feeling a bit weird even though the silence between you was not uncomfortable or awkward at all, it was almost calming.

“I know. I live this way too.”

“Oh, right...”

Thank God it was dark already and Changkyun was walking a few steps behind you, otherwise he’d seen the blush from the embarrassment on your face.

Just when you finished that thought, like he had read your mind Changkyun jogged up to walk next to you. The two of you kept walking quietly, until you reached his house first. You waved him goodbye, but he didn’t go home. Instead of hopping up the stairs and to backyard to go in through the back door like he usually did, he waved back playfully and kept walking with you. You raised an eyebrow at him..

“Aren’t you, going to go home or?”

He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his denim jacket and shrugged.

“Nah, I’ll walk you. Even though you did say I don’t need to but, it is a bit dangerous for a girl to walk alone in the dark.”

The slight stubborness in you wanted to argue that you weren’t as weak and helpless as he thought, but a voice of reason reminded you that you were, in fact, definitely weaker than him, so you accepted his company for the rest of the way. You walked in silence, the crunching of leaves under your feet and occasional distant birds being the only sounds in the night, until at the front of your driveway you stopped and turned to him to say bye.

“Thanks for walking with me,” you said with a faint smile. You were growing very sleepy. Changkyun smiled back at you.

“No problem.”

Then, neither of you said anything. You stood there, letting your eyes roam around the trees and rooftops. Your eyes darted back into your best friend when he broke the silence, which felt like years even though it mustn’t have lasted for more than 15 seconds.

“So... goodnight then. See you tomorrow?”

“Sorry, I can’t. I have to go help aunt Clara with shopping.” You sighed.

“Aunt Clara, the one who has eight pugs?”

“Nine now, actually. Viola had puppies. Unfortunately only one survived.”

“Fortunately. I got bit by at least three of them last time I made the mistake of visiting you while you had to be a dogsitter for her.”

You laughed at the memory of Changkyun running around the kitchen, trying to get a pack of angry pugs to leave him and his shins alone. When you finally caught you breath, you noticed Changkyun was looking at you, his lips still forming that gentle smile. It almost made you want to stare back at him, but you cleared your throat and took a few steps towards your front door.

“Well then... see you soon?”

Changkyun nodded and waved. “Goodnight (Y/N)!”

You waved back once again, sprinted up the stairs and didn’t stop until you were in your room, where you collapsed on your bed. Staring at the ceiling, you wondered if aunt Clara really needed help until late in the evening. If Changkyun had something in mind; did he want to do something in particular or did he just want to hang out aimlessly like before? If you had felt like staring at his face before, you couldn’t really tell; it felt like you’d never felt that but at the same time you’ve always felt that way. If Gemma and Ellie were right about something they had hinted at- no, insisted to be true for years on end now. Before you’d end up laying there immersed in your thoughts for the entire night, you pryed yourself off of your bed and started getting ready for bed.

Flustered if you ask for cuddles when other people are around. If it was just the two of you, he’d wrap his arms around you instantly. Unfortunately, our busy leader might not always have excess time but if you beg and whine and maybe throw in some aegyo?? Gukkie will do his best to make it work somehow, even if you had to sit on his lap as he continued to tap away on his computer. Jongup doesn’t really mind enjoying each others company in silence, he’ll gladly listen to you talk if you want to tell about your day or if you just need to vent. He loves being goofy with you, but also holds you with a stable grip against his chest. He wants to make you feel safe and comfortable, so you two can enjoy each others company, before he has to run off for dance practice again.

A/N: This started out as a Changkyun imagine for that one anon who requested it like a thousand years ago, and we never really got closure on what kind you would’ve liked it to be so I figured I was given free hands. But then I got carried away and it streched to be way longer than I visioned it to be, so why not cut it into a series. I hope it turns out alright.

Im Changkyun? Of course you knew him, he was that weirdo in your neighborhood in Boston. And that weirdo also happened to be your best friend.

Being best friends with Changkyun was fun, of course, but also very chill. There was never drama or arguments you couldn’t talk through. Most of the time you just hung out at each others places, watching your favorite series and stuffing yourselves with various snacks.

That was what you were doing again one weekend at your place. When your parents had surprised you, saying they had rented a cottage and were going to leave for a weekend holiday (that you definitely didn’t want to be dragged along to), you made up an excuse, saying you had a big exam coming up and that you wanted to properly prepare for it. The school year was close to ending too. Your parents trusted you and knew you wouldn’t throw a secret party, so they let you stay at home on the condition that you would call at least once a day and remember to feed the family pet.

So there you were, lounging on the couch in front of the TV, with one empty and one half empty pizza box, finishing one more episode of Game of Thrones. Changkyun stretched his arms, and folded them behind his head.

“You know, we should spend more time outside,” he pointed out when you were waiting for the next episode to start automatically.

You sighed. “I know. To be honest, I’m getting a bit tired of pizza,” you chuckled, patting your stomach.

“Well let’s go then.”

You looked at Changkyun with a raised eyebrow. “Now? You do realize it’s -” you checked the time from your phone “- almost 1 am?”

Changkyun didn’t seem to be questioning it at all. “Yeah, I’ll ask the others to come too.” He shrugged and waited for you to decide. You thought about it for a while. Then, a sly smile slowly appeared on your face.

You had never really snuck out before. You were a good kid. And, you tried to convince yourself, you weren’t really sneaking out, there wasn’t anyone strictly forbidding you from going out with your friends. In the middle of the night.

The sky was clear, no clouds covering the moon and although there was a slight gush of wind every now and then, it was warm and your bomber jacket blocked it from getting to your bones. This was actually quite fun, even though you were just roaming the streets. It was just enough adrenaline for you. Your group of friends wasn’t unusually big, it was just you, Changkyun, two girls called Gemma and Ellie and Changkyun’s friend Ben he made in the science club he used to be in. You laughed at the stupid jokes the boys made, and giggled with the girls about the new boys they had crushes on. You liked hearing how they gushed about their crushes, going on and on about their hair and their scent and-

“What about you, Y/N? Don’t you have someone you like?”

Oh boy, there we go. The question you had dreaded all thoughout high school. No, it wasn’t because you had a crush on someone. It was because everyone, and you mean everyone, were convinced you had a huge crush, and wouldn’t believe you no matter how many times you denied it.

You opened your mouth to tell them once again, but before you could say anything they already went on.

“Changkyun has pretty nice hair, right? I mean, he does have those scars on his cheeks but other than that, his skin isn’t that oily or-”

“Will you just stop?” you cried, stopping in your tracks as you were getting fed up with their talk. You didn’t mind them bothering you about your so called obvious crush on Changkyun, but when they started to point out flaws in him, it made your blood boil. “Why do you feel the need to talk shit about him behind his back? He’s your friend too! Besides, you’re not perfect yourselves, in fact, I think Changkyun is more handsome than both of your crushes put together!” you hissed at them, keeping the volume low enough for them to hear but not so loud that the boys walking a small distance in front of you would hear.

Your friends stared at you in shock for a little, until Gemma apologized with a hint of fear in her voice. “I’m sorry Y/N, we went a bit too far.”

You sighed, now not only upset with them, but also with yourself for losing your cool when you were supposed to be having fun together.

“I’m sorry too, I shouldn’t have lashed out like that. Just, promise you won’t do that again, okay? He’s your friend too, after all.”

“Yeah, I’m sorry too. We promise.” Ellie lowered her head, but soon looked up with a mischievous look in her eyes. “But Gemma, did you hear her say how handsome Changkyun is? I knew you liked him more than as a friend!”

You rolled your eyes at Ellie, and looked at the boys’ direction. You noticed they had stopped walking, as they must’ve realized you weren’t following them anymore. The three of you jogged over to catch up with them.

“Is there a problem?” Ben scanned you with his eyes, in case there was a sudden drama going on that he should be careful about.

“No! Absolutely not!” Ellie laughed, pretending to be amused by the mere suggestion that there would ever be any problems that involved her.

“We were just worried about Y/N, she can’t be in her right mind to agree to hang out late at night like this.” Gemma joked, nudging you arm with her elbow. It made the boys smile.

“Good, well I hope Y/N is ready to handle some more craziness.” Changkyun said. “Ben had an amazing idea.”

You weren’t all that sure Ben’s idea was going to be that great.
