But Newt knew Thomas loved him, or could love him. And Thomas loved him through what he did for him. But couldn't place it. So yes, Thomas loved Newt and Newt loved Thomas. So, they had love..they just didn't have time.

"Issue #33: Hurt Me! Beat Me! Just Please Don't Leave Me!"

Thank you all for your patience while I worked on this! It's the longest issue of PATFW to date, so I hope you understand why it took me so long to produce. At the current pace it seems like issues will come out about every three weeks (or a little more), which is a bit funny to me. I called them "issues" as a reference to comic books and now look where I am. Full circle.

The boys are having a rough time of it, though, unfortunately. If it wasn't already abundantly clear, Cormorantpaw has some pretty severe abandonment and trust issues, which led to him keeping secrets from Pinepaw out of fear that he'd be left once again. But it's hard for Pinepaw to see that perspective when he's just lost his sister, and thinks that she possibly could've been saved... bad situation all around.

At least Thrasher is finally dead! That's worth celebrating, right? Both he and Crow died from a kick to the head, by the way, and the deer who killed Crow is Wild Rose's son Hyssop.

“It’s just us now, and we can’t take any risks,”

Baywind, a young tom with his whole life ahead of him, and Rimepaw, a slightly younger tom who’d just found his footing in life, wake up drowning one day. Their memories fading with each gasp of breath as they struggle to survive against the crushing waves. Rimepaw grabs on to the only thing he still remembers, his best friend, Vixenpaw while he desperately makes his way to the beach he can barely see. Baywind hears cats struggling all around him but he can’t see any of them. Water is everywhere, water is everything, he can’t remember anything else but water- and his own name. He feels himself slipping and gets a hold of his determination. He fights and fights the waves. He can’t think and acts purely of instinct. He needs to survive. Fight, gasp for air, fight, ignore the screaming, fight, the beach is so far away, fight, finally something stick to his paws, adrenaline, he might make it, another wave, darkness.

Baywind wakes up and coughs up to water in his lungs, and looks up to see huge concrete walls surrounding the beach on all sides except for the endless ocean.

A few days later, Vixenpaw, disappears.

Okay I’m really into this whole “superpoweredcalicos” thing now and made some lore.

I don’t have a name for the group they live in right now but they’re lead by a leader who has a council of cats who are the most skilled at something. They’re called The Heads. There’s always a Head of Camp, Head of Claws, Head of Healing and head of Spirits in the group but they also have others who will change over time. Like there might be a Head of Weather if a cat has the power to control weather and it’s useful enough for a part of the council.
