how do you think vi would spend her time after school?

I feel like right when Violet gets home, she'd either smoke or take a nap. If she felt like it, she would go for a walk right afterschool while listening to music on her iPod and smoking.

The rest of the night she'd have some free time! These are some things I imagine Violet doing during this time:

paint her nails

burn a CD

read

journal (here's some inspo i found!)

watch "u-tube"

make a new playlist

and try to get some homework done as well!

If she had the energy, Violet would rearrange/clean her room or do something creative like drawing or painting! Whenever she does something a little more productive it can make her feel better and a little less depressed. She'd then eat dinner (whatever Vivien's made) and try to go to bed by 10-11pm.

It's hard to pick just one, but overall, I think Violet's favorite album would be The Queen is Dead by The Smiths! She mentioned Morrissey in the show, so I think she'd definitely listen to them, and this specific album just really reminds me of Violet.

I also think Live Through This by Hole, Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division, Word of Mouth by The Kinks, and In Utero by Nirvana would be some of her all-time favorites as well!

Hi anon! I made a Violet-inspired gift guide last year (linked here!), but here's a couple more ideas (i might repeat a few on accident lol).

Things Violet would want for Christmas:

Room decor:

a cd / cassette / record player

a little trinket dish

posters

a tiffany lamp, rock salt lamp, or fairy lights

scented candles or candle sticks

a decorative boho-style rug

any kind of furniture for her room (shelves, a pouf, desk chair, etc)

a chalkboard (if she didn't already have one)

Fashion:

urban outfitter's tights and socks (or clothes in general)

rings, necklaces, or earrings

dr. marten's boots, mary janes, or oxfords

band tees

scarves

a pork pie hat, beanie, or any other hats

a new bag/wallet

Miscellaneous:

a camera of some kind

any makeup or skincare products

a chess board / board games

more cd cases for the cds she burns

pins or patches

money, gift cards, and concert tickets

ways to listen to music; new headphones, a speaker, an ipod, etc.

cd or vinyl storage/shelves

Hi anon, thanks for the ask :)

Being sick SUCKS, so I think Violet would try to make the days feel as normal as possible (while still getting some rest in the meantime).

Here's some things she'd do to avoid boredom while sick:

Listen to music.

Make a new playlist and burn it on a CD.

Read a magazine.

Watch a comforting movie.

Write in her journal (about her day or just a random prompt)

Drink some hot tea or make some soup.

Paint her nails.

Scroll through Tumblr.

Do a jigsaw puzzle or play a board game.

Take a bath/shower, do her skincare or makeup, etc.

What would violets summer day look like ?

She'd do essentially the same things she does in the show; like read, sleep, listen to music, smoke, etc. but with summer activities mixed in...

She'd wake up around 7-9am, make breakfast, shower, and do her skincare.

The rest of the day would normally take place indoors, since summer weather SUCKS! Here's a couple things she might do to pass time:

Read inside or in her backyard, watch slasher movies (perfect for summer 😁), journal, or paint.

For more "summer-y" activities, she might have a picnic outside, see a local/smaller band in concert, go to a drive-in, pick flowers, go to a flea market, or go to the beach (at night/afternoon so that it's quieter). Her and Tate might have a little beach date together, with a bonfire and s'mores and all that stuff.

At night she'd watch something and go to bed around 10-12!

I'm sorry it's taken a month for me to answer!!! Summer is basically over now, so I don't know how helpful this will be, but I still wanted to post this :) Thanks for the question, I really appreciate it 🫶

What Violet would wear to homecoming:

I think she wouldn't want to look too dressed up, so she'd probably just wear a simple dress with leggings or tights underneath! Here are some examples of dresses (with links):

Dress #1: Floral Print Dress

Dress #2: Floral Long Sleeve Minidress

Dress #3: Tiered Cotton Dress

Accessories:

Jewelry: those tiny silver hoops she wears in the show, layered necklaces, and bracelets.

Shoes: Doc. Marten's boots, Oxfords, flats, or some kind of heeled opened-toed shoe/sandal.

Other: patterned socks, pork-pie hat, a clutch bag, a chunky cardigan like Violet's in "Return to Murder House".

Hair:

For her hair, I could imagine her experimenting with a half up half down hairstyle or just a simple ponytail!

Nails:

This is such an interesting question! Though Violet's vibe is very different to the coquette aesthetic, I really don't think she'd care if her friend matched her exact aesthetic. In the scene where she first meets Tate, they bond over music and sharing the same interests, not exactly because of his style or "aesthetic".
