Dysphoric mania (or maybe mental illness in general) sucks because I started crying while dying my hair two different colors on New Year's Eve because a guy I like didn't want to hang out with me like he said he would. So my solution was to take about twice the amount of seroquel I usually take.

his account used to be @harrypotterhogwartsshitpost , Then it stopped for a while! Now it's back as @harrypotterhogwartshitpost without a second "S" because it won't give me that user name back.

I'm no longer a mini historian. Now I'm a mini economist :)

I hate myself because I had a huge crush on a grad student all semester and I had every Tuesday and Thursday to do something about it but I brushed it off because "he's a grad student" "we'll be in another class next semester" but now we won't and I never even got the chance to tell him I won't because I hadn't talked to him about it again since before I dropped that class and I thought I wouldn't be so upset about it but I am

There's four students in my school's EC-BA (Economics bachelor of arts) program and I wish that was an exaggeration.

So my class schedule for next semester is:
Principles of Accounting
Money and Banking
Public Finance
Intermediate Macroeconomics
Pre-Calculus
Historical Geology Lab
that looks so nice compared to Colonial Latin America, History of Alabama, The Great Depression, Bollywood...

fun facts
I only wrote with 0.9 point lead in middle/early high school. I wouldn't switch to 0.7 until 10th grade.
I've only used drafting pencils since 10th grade.
I wouldn't write in pen until my second semester of college.
I only wrote with ballpoint pens until my junior year of college. I was afraid gel would bleed under my highlighters.
I only started using gel because I had to annotate books and ballpoint pens were too big to fit in the margins.
I didn't start using 0.5 led until halfway through my junior year of college, and I still prefer 0.7.

I've confirmed with more historians that this is true and more economists that they've noticed this.
Idk why but historians hate economics and actively run from it.

This is especially funny to me because I currently major in history and minor in economics and I have to fight for my life to get anyone else to understand it. They're literally scared of it.
I've had to read manuscripts by different historians and they all specifically call out economics and say "it's not the historians job to predict the future like economists"
I read a manuscript that gladly and enthusiastically compared history to physics and chemistry, and biology, but drew the line at economics. Saying our methods are too analytic and we would be better off using common sense. Heavily implying for 133 pages that social sciences are the 'least respectable' because our methods of dealing with human behavior aren't 'narrative', and we don't try to find the single 'independent variable'
I've had professors also say "I'm glad I don't have to predict the future like economists" and other students say "it just doesn't make any sense" "it's not my job to know/do that"
Like it's not that scary. Predicting the future isn't some overlooming task. We're not weather men- billions of people aren't planning their days around our predictions. We just use math and reoccurring trends to predict what the economy is up to!
Really if there's anything to be scared of it's meteorologists. Billions of people look to them for accurate predictions everyday. Sometimes every hour. No one plans their Saturday afternoon based on what the economist says.
Idk why but historians hate economics and actively run from it.

Apparently it's a hot take on TikTok right now to think men can exist around children without being pedos.
A dad said he didn't want his seven year old daughter going out in a full face of makeup and crop tops because "people are weird about that"
And all of the comments were 'woke' girls saying "Why is he thinking about her like that?" "Sounds like he's attracted to his daughter" "He really just exposed himself like that"
Assuming that he wants to rape his daughter is a weird first response to that. Saying the mother should take the child and leave is a weird response. Saying you would take the daughter out dressed like that is weird.
You are the weird ones for wanting children; six, seven, eight year old children going out dressed like that.
And I bet it's the same girls who kept telling tweens not to post videos in lingerie, or extremely revealing outfits, or implying sexual activity because they are subject tho groomers. But suddenly it's okay to look like that if you're under the age of 10???
Calling out pedos is so "in" right now that they automatically accuse every man of pedophilia- with no evidence- to look 'woke'
A man is watching his own child. "Why is he paying him so much attention??" A man takes his child to a park "Why does he want to be around all those kids??" A man changes his child's dirty diaper "Why is he looking down there???"
It's the boy who cried wolf but with pedophilia. You've taken a serious issue and turned it into a joke. No one is going to take you seriously about it now. You have no evidence when making these claims on the internet. You just see a man in the vicinity of a child and assume he wants to rape them.
Yes, obviously pedophilia is a terrible thing that needs to be dealt with. But you have to have evidence. You have to take it seriously. You can't just throw that accusation at every man you see a 15 second video, or a handful of photos of.
I hate chronically online people.

Chronically online Europeans are so obsessed with the United States its concerning. Especially to know absolutely nothing about us.
Today's example: Europeans are freaking out because an American had a 12 day advent calendar opposed to a 24 day one.
Apparently today they're "better than us" because they have 24 days on their advent calendars... "You guys only have 12 day advent calendars. My country has 24 💀" "Do they open one every two days?? 😭💀"
And it's not like plenty of people have explained we have 12 and 24 day ones. They're just actively ignoring all the people trying to inform them we have both, and fixation on how "pitiful" our 12 day ones are.
And the 12 day ones are for the 12 days of Christmas. Which- according to my research (though I might be wrong)- is celebrated in the United States, the UK and other Commonwealth countries. So their confusion about it makes no sense.
They just sit there, ignoring what they're being told, and choosing to act like children trying to 'flex' on the United States over nothing.
