The word 福 means luck or fortune~ Did you know the reason why sometimes the word 福 is placed upside down on scriptures or a single red square is because it is done with the intention of “luck arriving”.
Upside down in Mandarin Chinese is 倒 which is the same sound as 到 (arrive). Hence with the play on words and placing it on your door, it is “luck arriving at your door.”🧧
