Absolutely pampered, sleek hands. Hands that have never known a job harder than raising a glass of wine at an idle dinner.

The hands of the true son of Galarion.

She lightly squeezed her fingers and stared at Kin with a silent question. — And what? He smiled. The fire seemed to escape from his hand. From the very place where his skin came into contact with Kristol’s skin, fire broke loose and danced, invisible, hot, almost burning. It climbed up Kristol's arm, stroked her shoulder, and before she had time to pull her hand out of Kearen's hand, it penetrated her chest. It became hot and heavy inside. The flame burned her heart, tickled her stomach, flared up and dissolved somewhere in her lower abdomen. Kristol, barely breathing, stepped back from Kin, still feeling her body pulsating. Her cheeks were burning. Somewhere under her stomach there was a sucking sensation, disgusting and viscous, so that she wanted to either throw herself at Kin with her fists, or curl up into a ball and cry.

A trickle of cold sweat tickled her back. This… Is this really his Ri? All these strange feelings…

— What… What is this? — she exhaled, pressing her hand to her chest. — Jealousy, Inri. People call it “jealousy.”
